Google
Super local and down-home vibes especially if you are *from* Lafayette. I came in around the end of lunch and the crowd wasn’t too big maybe 20-22 people. The prices were surprisingly low for the type of establishment it is since I was expecting Morvant’s prices. I ordered a Cheeseburger with Grilled Onions and an Egg and upon getting it looked so good I forgot to take a picture of it and downed it like I had a job to get back too. Best burger I had in Louisiana so far. The restaurant was clean. My server was Ted, he was very knowledgeable about the menu and the establishment even though he hasn’t been there a year yet. He was able to do 12 things at once which I thought was crazy work. 10/10 recommend Judice Inn

Google
Burger was so good, had to get one to go! Food was quick & service was great!! I see why so many love it!

Toretto Johnson

Google
The service was outstanding. The burgers came out nice hott and cheese was melted. Caramelized onions was whoa. It was my first time here and I'll definitely be back again.

Google
Lafayette staple, can never go wrong with a good Judice Inn burger. The service is always wonderful and the burgers are simple and delicious. Their new renovations have opened up the restaurant so much, it looks great! My go-to burger place for Saturday lunch

Frank Martinez

Google
Great burger at reasonable prices! We had a party of 9!on Saturday we’re easily accommodated. Food was fresh and very tasty. I ordered a cheeseburger and there no frills no heavy seasoning, just great fresh ingredients. Possibly one of the best burgers I’ve had in some time. The only downside is we’re from Texas and it’s not close enough to make this place a weekly regular.

April Perry

Google
The workers are super friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. Our burgers were hot and fresh, the restaurant was clean and the music added to a fun atmosphere. Can’t wait to cut into our king cake!

Google
Casual and quick to get your food. Still no fries, but at least they have chips which I think go better anyway. Burgers are some of the best time town for sure. Nice beer selection in cans or pitchers

Google
Hands down the best burger in Lafayette. Im not from here but frequently travel down here for work....I pick my hotel based on how far it is from Judice Inn, not my office. Most of the time I'll stop in a few times over a week. Service is always great, prices are more then reasonable. Highly recommend. Usually grab myself a cheeseburger with grilled onions.

Antoine L.

Yelp
Best Burger in Lafayette! Service is always good for the amount of people in the place. Definitely has an old school feel to it!

Yelp
I was in town and my brother told me this place had good burgers so I had to try it out. Ordering was very easy. Went with a single with everything including Justice sauce. No cheese though. They brought burger and drink to my table after ordering. Very good burger. I highly recommend it if in the area.

Yelp
Judice Inn has been around a long time and they never disappoint with their incredible burgers. The service is fantastic and the restaurant is inviting and not overly loud.

Yelp
Still making fire burgers on Johnston. My son had his first one today and loved it. Hargrave's Plumbing will be back for our company luncheon.

Aj C.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch today, got 2 burgers with chips and a drink definetly a great place to stop and get a bite to eat! Excellent service at the drive through window also!

Evan M.

Yelp
Don't listen to anyone who says this burger is "spectacular" or the "best burger in town." It's not... and it's not really close. The burger is juicy and hot, the bun is soft, and the toppings are fresh. That said, seasoning of ANY KIND doesn't exist on the patty. Not even salt. It's pretty bland.... which is fine, if you want pure beef flavor. On a scale of 1-100, if this were high school, Judice would get a solid C- in my book. *72* Cool place to stop though.

Yelp
These are definitely the best burgers in Lafayette. My Dad loves to take me there when he comes into town. We tried a few of the new places and paid at least double and the food wasn't as good as either.

Alexis B.

Yelp
Ive eaten here for years now, brought a few friends who moved into town who continued to eat here too. Super good and also cheap burgers. .. ask for that sauce too YUMMM

Yelp
I'm not from around town so when you say "the best hamburger in town" and you taste like that, I'm gonna believe you. As tourists, it was the ultimate roadside burger diner for our roadtrip story, giving us thick hand-smashed patties, milkshakes, young rosy-cheeked boys in baseball caps taking orders and family photos on the walls. My man declared it his best meal in Louisiana and one of the better burgers he's ever knocked out. Milkshakes were a little icy but I liked it. Stubbornly stuck to their traditions however, they do not offer fries.

Yelp
An old school simple dive type environment offering simple delicious food with great service. My double cheeseburger was delicious juicy goodness while I got it without the Judice Sauce as I hate ketchup and that stuff is basically a spicy ketchup. No fries just potato chips here which is a bit of a bummer for some folks but just order another burger if you are still hungry. The good news is they have bottle and draft BEER here along with selling pitchers. The extra good news is prices here are a GREAT VALUE and you can easily have a great burger with beers for an amazing price. Overall this joint slings classic old school style burgers that are perfect in their deliciousness and priced at a great value so you definitely should visit when in the area.

Yelp
Fun little college hangout with good little burgers at a reasonable price. Been there since the 40's and you certainly get that vibe. Top of the bun had a nice kind of hard toast on it while the bun remained soft and fresh. The burger patty was a bit small but get the double and you are all set. The special sauce is just peppery ketchup but it is good. Had a shake as well and it was good, too. Great place to experience a throwback to a simpler time.

Yelp
I NEVER come to Lafayette without stopping at Judice Inn. The long and the short is, this is hands down the best burger money can buy. I have tried to imitate it at home but fail miserably. It's like trying to copy the Mona Lisa in crayon. It just can't be done. The place Is tiny and WILL get crowded at lunch. I phoned my order in for pickup. No monster creations or crazy flavors. Burger. Cheese burger. That's. It. Make sure you get extra Judice sauce on yours. It's like liquid love and gold at the same time. Also. Pay for the grilled onions. No fries, no ketchup, and no BS. I have had many a burger across the nation and still...every time I come here my first salivating bite is met with a large sigh and a mile like a hug from mom. Yes. It's that damn good. Rock solid 5 stars.

Yelp
No French fries, burgers are greasy and not very tasty. Not really sure why it is such a hit with the locals because it's super greasy and not much flavor. They only offer bags of chips for your side. Uninteresting interior, uninteresting food. Service is great, workers are polite, I just don't like the food.

LA H.

Yelp
This little "hole in the wall" is gem in the Lafayette areas. The burgers are amazing and the prices are just as well. To substitute not having fries, I typically order myself 2 single patty burgers which fills my taste buds. Definitely a must try if you love burgers like I do.

Mason S.

Yelp
The food is spectacular and the burgers and juicy. The servers are nice and the service was great. Old mon and setting was fantastic.

Yelp
The hubby grew up here and absolutely raves about this place. And I will give it to him, they are good! And they are a must-stop if you ever find yourself visiting LaFayette. This place is an institution, having been around since the 1940s! The menu is simple offering 4 types of burgers and other various sandwiches. They do not offer sides. No fries. No onion rings. Nothing, but chips. I think the owners pride themselves on not offering fries so, I won't complain about that. I can understand them priding themselves on the amazing burgers and sandwiches they churn out. The meat is very flavorful! If you stop in, ask for extra Judice sauce and be ready to get grease all over your hands, face and possibly clothes. Just shut up and eat and enjoy :) Follow me on my way to Foodietown! http://britneygfoodie.yelp.com

Yelp
Excellent service, great food. Small town diner serving a simple hamburger and chips. I recommend getting grilled onions on your burger.

Z A.

Yelp
A simple burger that really hits the spot. The ambiance inside is cozy and the service is friendly enough. Cleaner than you would think by looking at the outside.

Yelp
A staple of Lafayette. A definite must try for the burger lovers. Honestly surprised that Chick-fil-A is more difficult to get into

Yelp
Y'all. This place. THIS freaking place. Everything about Judice Inn is pretty perfect. They do one thing and they kill it. Burgers. I'm talking bring you your burger in a greasy bag, messy as hell, three napkins messy and you won't find fries on the menu...whaattt? They do have chips, but the focus here is on the burger. It's on the traffic nightmare from hell that is Johnston Street but I'm here to tell you it's worth it. They have lots of parking so that's always a plus for me because I suck at trying to parallel park. I just wasn't born with that skill. Whatever. The atmosphere is divey, no frills, what you see is what you get. And while I enjoy being fancy sometimes, laid back is my middle name. So, it works for me. I had the double cheeseburger and a ton of grilled onions and couldn't finish it all when I stopped in for a late lunch. It was juicy and perfectly cooked. Just amazing. I don't want to be premature and say it's the best burger in Lafayette...yet. But it's up there. Top five for sure. If you're a burger lover go try this institution as soon as you can.

Yelp
First time going here this weekend. Absolutely delicious burgers and special ketchup sauce. Staff was also very friendly. Will be coming back on our Lafayette outings!
google avatar

Josh J.

Yelp
They punch your burger after they wrap it up. Very average. You could find a better burger almost anywhere.
google avatar

Kevin T.

Yelp
Fair burger when you into a burger. Not to bad of a price also. Very busy little place as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Our corporate staff came down from North Louisiana. The lunch was Delicious! The burgers were seasoned & the Judice sauce was tasteful.
google avatar

Austin S.

Yelp
Imagine this. You walk in a classic place with your girl and your in line. Then you realize you're not in line to order. However, a worker politely and gently tells me, "sir you can have a seat" In a fit of confusion, we take our seat. After our *rumble* stomaches were crying out to be satisfied, a hero arose from behind the bunker like a bearded-beaming angel. "What can I get for you today" he said while eagerly ready to get our order. My girlfriend and I, alleviated, for our hero had arrived. We presented our requests. "Two burgers sir, hold the sauce" He took our orders and rode away. After awhile he returned like a hero gone on an perilous adventure, beaming with glee. "Enjoy" he said. And so we did.

Yelp
The Judice Inn was a great place for our 50th High School Reunion welcome. They have party room that we filled and spilled out as the conversation was deep and the keg beer was cold, we remembered our 1969 era on Johnson highway. This is one of the great whole-in-wall venues in Louisiana and the universe. They are known for their hamburgers at a value. Everything is wrapped in paper and served on a tray. Bags of chips are additional. Remember an eight ounce coke in a bottle, they have them. They have been serving grilled sandwiches before most people were born. I am told they use to deliver to your car, but now you go in for take out. The best sandwich they serve is their egg and cheese on three slices of bread grilled. Add grilled onions to make it even better.
google avatar

Brandon F.

Yelp
Judice Inn doesn't need any more reviews since it has been around since 1946 or so, but I felt compelled to review it anyway! My first visit to Judice Inn was today, and it is hands down the best cheeseburger in Lafayette. So juicy, big, and perfectly seasoned. I will be back many times.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious old fashioned burgers! Although they don't serve fries, their delicious burgers are still worth going out of the way! Double cheeseburger with grilled onions and egg, will make a grown man cry.

Holly D.

Yelp
THERE ARE NO FRIES HERE! Once you get past that, this place is great. We had burgers and shakes, and it was so yummy! The service was exceptional, and the meat was good quality.
google avatar

Joe T.

Yelp
A good old fashioned burger, done right. A cheeseburger with grilled onions - a three napkin affair - is about as good as it gets. Maybe a little on the small side, but a double would certainly fill you up. A burger and a bag of Zapp's chips also does the trick. I did see other people ordering two burgers. Personally, I don't understand the aversion to offering fries, but it's their tradition, and the chips are okay. The burger alone is worth it. You won't be disappointed if you like an old fashioned burger. This is good stuff.

Cherelle D.

Yelp
Hadn't had a burger from this place in years and was really looking forward to it. The service was great and the staff friendly however, the burger was tasteless and bland. So surprised and disappointed! What happened?
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Friend took me here for the oldest hamburger joint in Louisianas. It was great.
google avatar

Brock R.

Yelp
You just can't get a better hamburger steeped with so much history & an absolute landmark in Lafayette La. Homemade recipe of seasoning the hamburger meat made fresh daily. The special sauce is better than ketchup & do not even think about asking for ketchup because it doesn't exist inside this building. I love this place & so does everyone else.

Kelly L.

Yelp
It was our first time eating here. We only ordered burgers because this older burger joint offers only potato chips, no French fries, tots, or onion rings. They were ok for a homemade burger, but my burger had no pickles or the option to have bacon on it. Maybe it's time for a little upgrade on the menu?
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
This place is great. Old fashioned burger and an old school decor which I just loved. Two guys in the parking lot prepped me for no fries but it's still a must try, so I did. I loved the flavorful taste and the dripping grease from the meat and the cheese (ummmm) no fries but had chips and a coke and I'll tell you, my next visit to Louisiana will include this little gem

Kennith V.

Yelp
It has been YEARS since i visited Judice Inn. Out and about running errands and decided to bring my wife to taste the burgers. Not disappointed, still great burgers. Simple menu, and it shows, do a few things really good. Will have to go come back, just not so long between visits
google avatar

Laken S.

Yelp
That's MY fave Laffy Burger. Anything else is just trying to out do Judice Inn. Sorry, not sorry.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Okay I know this place is a local hang out and people love it. But I honestly don't know why. The burger patties were dry and salty and the milkshake was ice milk. Decent prices and good customer service.

Devan B.

Yelp
These burgers are delicious. Had one for the first time because it was catered in for a work lunch. I'm impressed and told my husband we have to get burgers from here. I hope my experience is just as good.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Great burgers and service. Kind of a small burger dive, but great cheese burgers and friendly service!
google avatar

Max P.

Yelp
Most delicious simple burger there is. Steps for great experience: 1. Get the cheeseburger how it comes 2. Remove the top bun 3. Lather the burger in special sauce 4. Place raw onion on top followed by bun 5. Bite in and enjoy 6. Wash down with a coke Burger, chip, and drink all for less than $8. Better deal, food, and service than any burger joint in town.

Yelp
Hard to believe I haven't reviewed this ageless icon of Cajun Country burger-dom yet. I've been eating here for a very, very long time now. I'd guess at least 60 years. Once out a country road, the city has grown out to surround and over-run the Inn. Plenty off-street parking. Crowded, often noisy, old fashioned, small-but-tasty burgers with one's choice of cheeses & toppings. Really COLD coldbeer, assorted potato chips, sodas. Crowds of college kids, neighborhood families, old guys, cops, & dating couples on budgets. Nothing fancy, nothing bad, nothing expensive. We usually eat one each, then split one more, or a few more, with my pocket knife. No "yuppie" anything, just good honest burgers ! Packed to go, if one wishes. Two can eat well for less than $25, tips & drinks included. What a DEAL ! Tiny booths. Peculiar outdoor, next-door, restrooms; take your flashlight! Always glad we went ! Always happy to be back @ Judice Inn ! Rick

Yelp
First time here and I'm in love. From California home of In N Out and honestly these burgers were neck and neck. 10/10 would recommend and I'd love to go back before going back home.

Peter H.

Yelp
Old school traditional and really good. A bit strange that they don't serve fries though.
google avatar

Christy P.

Yelp
Love.these.burgers! They're so simple, but so good! The burgers are $3 and change, so they don't break the bank either. I'm kinda glad that they don't have fries, because instead of opting for chips I like to go for a second burger and split it halfsies with someone. The meat is thin and isn't dripping with grease, and it has a little bit of spice in it. In the past few years I was converted from being an onion hater to an onion lover, so I put the whole dang onion slice on the burger (which they wrap separate from the burger to give you the option of putting it on). Definite onion breath, but it's worth it. Oh and get the cheese. As an out of towner, while I liked the buns at Southside Bakery, I didn't care for the meat, so this is my fav burger in Lafayette. There's just something about the combo of that slightly spiced meat, cheese, onion and special sauce that makes me crave one of these every time I'm in town!

Yelp
We had quick table service from a warm waiter. The food came quickly and my burger was hot off the grill. My wife and I were disappointed with the bland food. A $6.00 double beef burger had almost no taste. It was quite bland, except for a little bit of a pepper taste. I do not like pepper. It was not juicy but kind of dry. My wife only finished her burger because she was hungry. She told me that she would usually not finish such a tasteless burger. We both had regular chocolate shakes. The chocolate tasted like it was from an instant hot chocolate mix. I thought there was a slight taste of chocolate in the shake. Other than that, there was no taste at all. I love French fries, but they do not sell any fries. Only bags of potato chips. There were many happy people dining while we were there. I do not know why. The bathrooms there were clean. They take Visa/MC but would not take my Discover Card. Will not return to this restaurant. Do not know why they received so many high ratings.
google avatar

Matt C.

Yelp
Was told to go here by a local from Lafayette... It's definitely a locals place... The burger was good, very tasty... But, that's all they have there. No fries (you get a bag of chips). Nothing really else on the menu unless you want a ham and cheese sandwich.. We actually left HUNGRY and had to stop at another spot later for a second lunch. Good burger, not amazing, and that's it and that's all... For rizzle.
google avatar

Melissa J.

Yelp
if you have celiacs disease don't come here! every burger has bread crumbs in it as fillers!! and all sandwiches must be served on bread. no exceptions!!!!!
google avatar

Stacie F.

Yelp
We have loved these burgers since were kids. Tried this restaurant again the other day and it did not disappoint. So delicious...yummo!! I could eat a bag full of these burgers.
