My husband & I went to see Sean Rowe & Social Animals on Saturday. We arrived about 45 minutes before the concert started. Judson & Moore Distillery is a beautiful clean quaint place. The bartenders are very friendly and the whiskey is good. Sean Rowe was amazing. It was like having a concert in my living room. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Go to Judson & Moore and have a whiskey and enjoy a concert.

Hidden Jewel! This distillery with its bar, in an old, extremely well repurposed, industrial building by the river, is a true gem. Their "whiskeys" (rye, bourbons, single malt) are truly good. Their cocktails are beautiful. And the whole place has a very intimate atmosphere. It's worth the trip! And did I mention super friendly stuff?

Nice spot to catch a live show. They have a whiskey-focused menu and had a few beers and N/A options as well!

Beautiful tasting room with excellent whiskey and seriously creative cocktails. Plus the bartender is knowledgeable and fun. Definitely worth checking out!

Google
A wonderful whiskey tasting experience tucked away at Rockwell on the River. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about their whiskeys, from rye, to single scotch, to bourbon. Of particular interest were the red corn and smoked whiskeys which were a treat and uniquely crafted from Chicagoland and local ingredients. It was a joy to see Chicago distinguishly represented in the whiskey market. A great place to relax, bring your dog, friends, a date, and sip enjoyably.

The straight bourbon is good but the smoked rye is the thing to get. Great vibe and staff too. And they get some great live music.

Stopped by for a drink with friends last night and a great time. Joe was a phenomenal bartender. It felt like we were guests at his house. We tried many things, and all were delicious. The highlight for me every time at JM is the red corn whiskey. There is a lot of good whiskey available in Chicago, but the red corn is unique.

Yelp
Came here for a concert on a Sunday night earlier this summer and it was a fantastic experience. We tried their flight and every whiskey/bourbon was distinct and very very good. Bartender was quick even though it got crowded and she was working alone. The interior is like a sexier and (much) smaller Metropolitan (RIP). It is on the other side from the old Metropolitan entrance so no riverfront unfortunately but still really like the location.

Yelp
Really cool distillery on Chicago's north side! I was there for an event with Artisan Grain Collective. Everyone was so nice and the facility was beautiful. I loved the live music as well! They have single person, gender neutral bathrooms.

Yelp
So glad to have Judson & Moore down the street from our house in what's fast becoming one of the hottest areas in Avondale. I've been familiar with J&M's whiskeys for about a year, since first being able to sample them. While they currently offer only four, two year aged options (regular, rye, red corn, single malt), they do them quite well, pulling surprisingly nuanced notes with only such a short time in the barrel. The distillery space is great as well, a perfect industrial vibe that feels more like your neighborhood bar than a potentially-imposing-for-some distillery. Our bartender was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and made a memorable Manhattan - so good, we had to have a second! It will be interesting to see how they grow in this space. They are already offering ticketed contests, and are working on small-batch aging as well (I hear the possibility of some gin in the near future?). Definitely a worthwhile stop. Can't wait to see what's next!

Yelp
Some friends and I stopped in the Judson & Moore tasting room before dinner in the area. The tasting room is located in the same complex area as Metropolitan brewing and other businesses. There is a free parking lot and also street parking available. The menu has a few cocktails to select from, but I decided to do a whiskey tasting flight. I'm glad I opted for this. The flight was a great way to get more familiar with the flavor profiles from their product line. A couple of my friends had their cocktails and enjoyed them. I loved their rye the most.

Yelp
Judson & Moore is located in the excellent small business incubator on Rockwell along the river. You can access the distillery via a brick paver parking lot shared with Metropolitan Brewing and Metropolis Coffee, among other small businesses. The interior is an gorgeous, airy space with blonde wood and exposed brick, a long bar and several tables. You can choose from their tasting menu and their cocktail list. I opted for the tasting and Kelly got a cocktail, the Penicillin. The Penicillin was complex and smooth and showcased their offerings in an excellent light. As for the whiskey tasting, you can try their rye, bourbon, red corn bourbon, and single malt. I found them all very mild, and thin. If you are looking for robust bourbon flavors you'll find them lacking, but if you like Irish or Canadian whiskey you'll probably find something you like. I thought the single malt stood out for its bready notes and smooth mouthfeel. They occasionally have live music and its great to have them in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Visited for live music with a band I knew. Lovely venue; they distill their own whiskey. We tried a few of their whiskey drinks and enjoyed them. Great cozy venue to hear music but limited seating. No food. There is also outdoor seating in the summer. Cleverly redone industrial space, lots of street parking. A little tricky to find. Recommended.

Yelp
My wife and I walked by and saw this distillery is finally opened to public so we stopped by. Quite a good spot. DJ playing relax beat with antique speaker. There are some variety of ALC to choose from and you can do flight. One thing we noticed that they have very good water. Go try it.

Yelp
Amazing whiskey flight. Cool vibe. Kind staff. Evening was made even better by tunes from Joel Paterson.
