This place is really cute and doesn’t give a hotel bar vibes. You wouldn’t even know it was part of a hotel if you didn’t have to go through the hotel to use the bathroom lol came here for drinks and the starters. I wouldn’t necessarily say the apps are shareable‘s depending on how hungry you are, but overall pretty good tasting. The drinks are good! The service was great, they allowed us to push a couple tables together for a bigger group which was appreciated.

Came here for some drinks and food before a show and the atmosphere is such a fun vibe! Drinks and food came out quickly after they were ordered and the cocktails were some of the best I’ve had. The old fashioned and their bananas in pajamas are delightful! For food I ordered a chicken plate, a side of airfried brussel sprouts, and crème brûlée for dessert. Will definitely come back again!

Absolutely delightful! Went before a show at the Music Circus and enjoyed the all day happy hour on Saturday. The cocktail menu is fantastic, with creative twists on classics. The happy hour small plates were fantastic as well! The decor is also well done. Overall, highly recommend!

***Happy Hour Chronicles*** So I've been wanting to try this place for a while and was excited to be going for their "peach week" special + happy hour. I tried a peach daiquiri and my friend had the peach margarita, both were strong but fairly tasty. We both also enjoyed the "boss lady" drink off their limited happy hour menu featuring a cute basil leaf garnish, that drink was the favorite because it was actually pretty refreshing and not overly strong. For food I would highly recommend the barbacoa tacos and arancini, those were both delicious! I feel like for a happy hour this place is still a little pricey, but if that doesn't matter to you then definitely check it out 👏🏽

Google
Good hotel bar that doesn't feel entirely like a hotel bar. Haven't tried the food yet. Bartender was busy, but fast and polite service. I recommend the Jingle Juice (rum pineapple) and El Diablo (tequila black currant). Sleigh All Day (vodka pomegranate) and Golden Hour (grapefruit G&T) were both a bit one-note.

Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Overall: Definitely loved the ambiance. Food was standard fare. The extended review… Food: 3/5 - Got a lot of share plates and they were each pretty standard fare. For me nothing really stood out as being a huge winner from the feast. Presentation isn’t usually a big thing for me but there were a few dishes that didn’t resemble the image of what the place wants to be. Service: 4/5 - Friendly and attentive waitstaff. Ambiance: 5/5 - I have to say I’m pretty impressed with the look and feel of the place.

Google
A new tapas/small plate place from a great, local chef. They had a good selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The menu was simple, affordable and a range of tapas/small plate options. The food was DELICIOUS, and perfect for these hot summer days. The service was fantastic, as they were both friendly and tentative to our needs. Plenty of seating, both at the bar or at tables throughout. It was busy with people after work and seemed like a great place to get happy hour and a light bite to eat! Definitely will come back with friends.

While on a solo work trip to Sac, I conjured up the emotional capital to not order room service and made my way to a solo dinner at Juju. It was so well worth it. The bartender immediately acknowledged me and made me feel welcomed and less awkward. While enjoying a glass of the house Malbec, I admired the simple and warm decor. I enjoyed the flavorful and delicious grilled shrimp with garlic scampi sauce. I had the non-traditional Caesar salad. My brain went into a panic when I saw the Caesar topped with tomatoes and cucumbers in place of croutons, but my waistline and tastebuds were overjoyed. While sipping the Malbec, I also observed the staff be angels. A man on a wheelchair rolled in to the Juju. He appeared to be homeless and a few of the other guests had unwelcoming reactions to the man in the wheelchair. The Juju staff treated the man with respect and kindness and filled his water bottle and he went along his way. On top of a full belly of delicious food, dining at the Juju reminded me that kindness lives.

Yelp
The service was top tier! The staff reserved great spots for my friend's birthday celebration. The drinks were on point and the food was delicious with generous portions I only had a glass of Prosecco and the shrimp scampi with crostini plate. It was very tasty and very flavorful. It paired very well with my Prosecco. The ambience is great for a date night or girls night out. This place is a must

Yelp
Super cute, small place with fun cocktails. Stopped in before going to dinner at Cafeteria. Bartender was busy but very friendly and made great recommendations. Wouldn't make it my "go to" spot for a big dinner but definitely a spot to stop in for small bite, great craft cocktail and hang out in the great ambiance. Apple Bottom Dreams cocktail- 5/5 Recommend!

Yelp
This is a great spot in downtown when you're with a group of people and want to have a leisurely dinner with drinks. Our group had a variety of cocktails, and everyone was really happy with their drink. Can't remember all that we ordered, but I would say you can't go wrong here. Everyone of the small plate options looked intriguing to our small group of three, so we started round one with the Arancini (cheesy rice, balls, coated, and deep fried... Order them. You are welcome!), fried meatballs, with a yogurt sauce, amazing, roasted, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, insanely good pork belly served on a bed of lentils.(Spoons are not provided, but ask for one. You're going to want every last one of those lentils.) After another round of drinks, we decided we also needed to try the pork belly again . Caesar salad, and the shrimp. By this time, we were super happy and super full, but then we heard someone order the crème brûlée, and we crumbled. Three of us shared one, which was about right. Everything was really delicious. If I had to offer some humble suggestions, I would say to up your crouton game with the Caesar salad. The ones they came out of a box. An anchovy option would be nice. A little side of some type of sauce would be nice with the arancini. The service could have been a little smoother... Kept asking for water, etc. On the plus side, even though they only take walk-ins, no reservations, they will work with you if you have a large group coming in, contact them on their website, no phone number provided. I attend a conference in Sacramento every year, downtown, and the spot will definitely be on my list to visit. Make sure you get the pork belly!

Yelp
Juju is a trendy spot for small plates and cocktails! As soon as I walked in, I knew this spot had the perfect aesthetic for Instagram worthy pics! I came with a group of friends for a round of drinks and also ended up ordering dessert. Juju offers a holiday drink menu, which I was excited to see and I ordered "Tis the Season," which was a twist on an expresso martini. The drink was strong and highly caffeinated, which might have been a mistake on a weekday evening, but that's on me. The creme brûlée, on the other hand, hit all the marks! It was creamy and made with real vanilla bean, which I could see throughout the custard. The torched top had a satisfying crack when digging your spoon in. For $8, I would definitely recommend this sweet treat but would choose a different cocktail for $14. Service was extremely slow, and it took a while to settle our bill despite being nearly empty. Our server seemed frustrated when we asked for split checks, and I was ready to call my Uber home by the end of the night. It's worth noting that Juju comes up as "Hotel Bar" on the Uber app since it's right below the Marriott. I'd consider coming back for tapas, but probably not anytime soon since it's quite expensive.

Yelp
Great meal and service to celebrate Valentine's Day at Juju Kitchen. $50 for two courses with multiple choices in both the starter and main entree. $9 extra to add a dessert. Really good value for the quality of the meal. Ambiance is hip, trendy and clean. Parking is always the challenge but we got lucky this time to find street parking on the same block. While Juju Kitchen isn't The Press Bistro, I still feel very lucky to enjoy David English's cooking.

Kandria L.

Yelp
This is a cute spot near cafeteria 15L. I went here with my partner for quick drinks and snacks. The place is super cute, dimly lit with a good amount of eats & drinks. Can't remember the cocktails I had but I believe it was Boss lady and bees knees but my partner had 2 others. We also had small bites to share: hummus and tzatziki w pita and shrimp tacos. Would come back again!

Alejandra G.

Yelp
Juju was very cute and sleek with their decor and set up. Reminds me of The 7th Street Standard in a way. We ordered the Apple Bottom Dreams and Pink Skies for our drinks. The Apple one was good, very spiced which makes it a good fall drink. The pink skies was more on the tart and refreshing end. We decided to order four apps and sample what they had. Two I would order again, two I could live without. The shrimp tacos were pretty good but maybe just because I can't handle spicy, I'd stay away next time. My friend who likes spicy enjoyed them though. The Brussel sprouts were so good. Super crispy but small. They have you a nice lemony aioli to dip them in. The fried mac n cheese tasted dry and had basically no flavor or seasoning. They give you a "marinara" sauce to go with it but it tasted more like a tomato soup. Lastly we got the calamari with a white bean and arugula salad. This one was supinely good. It smelled extremely strong but was cooked really well and was a nice healthy, light app!

Yelp
A really cute place in the heart of Sacramento. This is not your average hotel bar. It was very popular for a Thursday night and seemed to have a good amount of late 20 to 40 year olds. The two bartenders on shift were very attentive and polite. We order a sparkling rosé and the Last Word and enjoyed our drinks over good conversation. The Last Word was a little pricey but had good ingredients. We also decided to order the gnocchi and an arugula salad. Both were very small portions but priced accordingly. The gnocchi was pillow-soft and served with a delicious cream sauce. The salad had a great selection of fruits, specifically persimmon - one of my favorites. Sitting at the bar here is fun!

Yelp
Super cute inside and friendly staff. We were in town for work and my friend and I were so disappointed in the restaurant we just came from that we decided to stop by here for a couple appetizers and dessert to end the night. We got the mushroom puff pastry and the Arancini and they were both delicious. Ended with the chocolate lava cake and vanilla ice cream which was so good! Will definitely come back here when I have work in Sacramento again.

Yelp
This is a great place for starters/small plates and a great atmosphere. Located on the corner with lots of high windows, open dining space that is split by the bar area, and just a sexy upbeat vibe. Our server, Jon, was efficient, and easy on the eyes. We stuck with small plates so we could try a few items. Aranchini is always a fav for us when we find it Barbacoa tacos - barbacoa meat with onions, cilantro, salsa verde (excellent and you get two, but we could have ordered more!) The goat cheese salad - jollity farm goat cheese, arugula, peach, almonds (very good, but could use more peaches) Finally, the roasted mushrooms, marsala cream sauce, puff pastry (excellent) Overall, this was an excellent light meal, that didn't break the bank for us. Great dining atmosphere, excellent service, and good food.

Anna F.

Yelp
Cut spot, excellent value, and delicious cocktails. AND let's be honest. The food -- I mean tapas -- are reheated or tossed grocery warehouse finds. I'd come back for the cocktails and ambience, and then head to any of the other local spots serving deliciously prepared fresh food for a few dollars more.

Yelp
Staying at the Marriott Residence Inn for a conference. Went to Juju, located on the property, for a late dinner and cocktail. I ordered the espresso martini which was well made, not too sweet, and finished with a flourish of cinnamon which I enjoyed. My friend had a spicy grapefruit shrub cocktail that v was very interesting. Light and refreshing, but earthy with a latent heat that warmed your chest but didn't burn on the tongue. Dinner was a selection of tapas: fried Brussel sprouts with lemon aioli, gnocchi with butternut squash and crispy prosciutto in a cream sauce and grilled calamari (steak) salad with arugula and cannelini beans. Everything was delicious. I especially loved the calamari salad which was tender and perfectly dressed. The service was friendly, although we had to go to them to let them know we wanted to order. There were a good number of customers despite the late hour. They have a variety of seating options from cozy tables for 2 to accommodatioms for large parties do 6 or 8, plus the bar. I would definitely come back.

Sara F.

Yelp
The happy hour is such a great deal and all the items on the HH food menu were delicious-we ordered them all. The environment is lively because the bar layout is circular and lots of varied seating around. Great service too!

Becky E.

Yelp
Was in the area for a show at Safe Credit Union Performing Arts Center and this was the perfect choice. My companion and I wanted a place with a nice variety of small plate options and delicious cocktails. This fit the bill. Cute space, plenty of seating (indoor and out) . The staff was friendly and attentive leaving us to enjoy our fare and conversation. Will definitely be back!

Taylor P.

Yelp
Came here for our first "bar hopping" stop. We each ordered a drink, which were probably the highlight, and then got three appetizers to share. My favorite was the calamari. Arancini and Brussels were nothing too special. It was self-seating so we chose the corner with a bench and two stools (away from the entrance). Our server was subpar unfortunately. It was hard to get water and even harder to get the check and pay. I literally had to chase him down. It wasn't that busy either. Okay concept, drinks are good, food could be better, service needs improvement.

Yelp
Just drank my Pom Pom (w/ alc) & it was so tasty! The service was great; it could have been more attentive. Ambiance? *super* cute w/ an amazing aesthetic -- def recommend!

Julie C.

Yelp
Went here for a work happy hour/dinner. There were plenty of seats on a Thursday night and at a good location. We had the arancini, shrimp pasta and chicken. They were good but the arancini would be the most memorable of all the dishes. Service was good and it's a beautiful spot. I think if I came back it would be a great spot for a happy hour at the bar with just some appetizers.

Aly A.

Yelp
My friend and I came to Juju's kitchen for a quick drink and appetizers. This location is downtown and it's connected to a big hotel I'm not sure which hotel it is to be honest. I had been seeing this place on TikTok and on yelp and I was interested in checking it out.. They are open Tuesday - Saturday from 4pm - 10pm the inside is super cute love the decor . The service was great they were very attentive and nice . The food I have to say it was not that good . We were definitely not that impressed by the food. We ordered the bees knees drink . The prices are pretty reasonable and specially on happy hour. Overall I would come back maybe for a quick drink before having dinner somewhere else.

Yelp
Had the opportunity to visit Juju Kitchen & Cocktails for a friend's recent birthday. It's pure satisfaction when you've had a place bookmarked, get the chance to finally try it and you actually have a great experience. My immediate first impression walking in, I'm like "okay this place is cute." Cute aesthetics, for a date night or girls night out. The food is prepared beautifully too. Peep my pictures to see what I'm talking about. I wouldn't say this place is good for large groups. Street parking is available or a parking lot across the street. They also do have an outdoor, dog-friendly patio. Service was okay. I'm not sure if our server was busy since it was happy hour but I just wished he checked in on us and filled our water more. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place especially for happy hour and light appetizer bites.

Malikah H.

Yelp
Overall a time was had! I can definitely see how others say the service could be better. Started off good but then had to flag down our server. He was actually trying different wines -_- and I finally had to wave him over since he wasn't being attentive to see that I kept making eye contact. He actually left the restaurant toward the end of our meal and the other guy took over. This is definitely a one and done kind of spot. We came, we drank, we ate..... nothing to write home about. The location itself is beautiful and nicely decorated Our order: -Fried Brussels 6/10 lack of seasoning nothing to write home about -Roasted garlic & Parmesan arancini-10/10 great subtle taste with a good flavor profile -Grilled shrimp tacos 7/10 not great but tasty flavor, size and filling -Wavy beef bolognese-2/10 flavorless and bland SKIP this -Apple crumble -8/10 great flavor while not being overly sweet. Served warm. The miss was the caramel ice cream didn't toast any different than the vanilla -Warm chocolate brownie with almonds and vanilla bean ice cream- 6/10 self proclaimed vanilla bean snob so the ice cream itself was just okay. The brownie tasted meh, we've had better out the box and it didn't taste fresh or warm. Skip this and go for the other dessert -Drinks:El Diablo and Rum Old Fashioned both very alcohol forward which is not a bad thing so 10/10

Mikayla M.

Yelp
We went here Friday night for the first time and I ordered the juju old fashioned, deviled eggs, and grilled chicken and my partner got the bolognese. Everything was good except the deviled eggs were nothing special. This is a place where you have to seat yourself and the server may take a while to get to you because it seems like there is one person waiting on all of the tables and working the bar. The restaurant is nice but small and connected to a hotel. I think the actual entrees, although limited, are really good but the small plates may not be as good but I only tried the deviled egg small plate. I'll be back one day.

Veronica J.

Yelp
Small selection of food but great impact! Chicken tinga tostadas were so good, lots of flavor. The roasted mushrooms in the puff pastry, rich and buttery goodness. Meatballs need a little more seasoning. But that's my only complaint. The decor is subtle but nice and inviting. Music is just loud enough to hear. Service is great!! Can't wait to go back. Happy hour is time to go!!

Courtney P.

Yelp
Meeting two girlfriends for drinks and appetizers, and mostly to gossip and catch up, we decided on Juju kitchen and cocktails. It is located in the lobby of one of the hotels downtown near the capital. Parking was easy enough given that it is street parking and most of it requires a small fee until at least 8 PM. The space itself is quite small, but we managed to find a table. The server was very kind and attentive. We actually did not partake in any cocktails, but ended up having some wine. To nibble, we shared the roasted brussels sprouts, the potatoes, and a flaky mushroom pastry. All three of the dishes were absolutely delicious, but the real star were the accompanying aïoli sauces. The prices are fair, especially given its location in downtown near the capital. I will definitely be coming back to Juju to try more of the menu and their infamous cocktails.

Shelli Q.

Yelp
We didn't realize it was attached to a hotel. We selected it for the menu of small plates bc we were meeting folks after work. The food was great and very shareable, but it wasn't the best place for a group six. We pushed two high top tables close but it was a tight squeeze when our food was delivered. Cocktails were ok, service was hot and cold.

Audrey K.

Yelp
My husband &I decided to do an early happy hour date night on Thursday. We were surprised to find out where the location was because we drove/ walked past this area numerous times without noticing! Restaurant is attached to a hotel. Came here for the tapas. Happy hour is $2 off small plates, between 4-530pm! Their small plates options are a good balance between different things. I also like how it is a very farm to table restaurant, the ambiance is very nice and calm. I loved it! -Grilled Calamari and white bean salad- Definitely recommend this! I'm so used to the fried version that I felt the need to try grilled (healthier too). This did not disappoint. The calamari was nicely done, soft, and perfect texture with a lot of flavor. -Shrimp tacos with chipotle slaw- 3 large shrimps a taco!! The slaw made the taco and it was so flavorful. We really enjoyed this one -Barbacoa taco- this one was okay! -Mushroom puff pastry- YES. Unique in flavor, so creamy! The mushrooms were chewy and just perfection. -Roasted garlic and parmesan arancini - (Waiter recommendation), this is a risotto ball. flavor kind of just kicks you! personally, this was too much of the cheese- but it was good! and different. Overall, very impressed with the flavors of each dish, all different and unique in their own way. $6/ small dish and we were satisfied! perfect amount. Would definitely return when they have a different seasonal menu!

Amber E.

Yelp
Fun bar on the ground floor of the Marriott Renaissance. Operated Separately from the hotel (no room charges). Closed Sun-Mon; Tue-sat. 4-10 pm. They have apps, drinks, wine, happy hour M-F 4-5:30 pm. Enjoyed a glass of their Granache. Check it out!.

Susanna M.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time on sat night around 5:30. Able to find a seat without any issue. Negroni was delicious but bees knees was a little too boozy and my husband's old fashioned had too much syrup. The mushroom dish was soooo good, the other items were okay. Wish there was bread. Service was fast. Cute decor, it is connected to the hotel.

Sara W.

Yelp
Me and a couple girlfriends went here to share some apps and get some cocktails! We thought the food and the drinks tastes great! Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow but they seemed pretty busy with a private party in the back. We got espresso martinis which were so good and our food item were the shrimp tacos! Even though service was slow I'd definitely go back!!

Alejandra R.

Yelp
We didn't try the food. We watched The Grinch play down the street and it started pouring rain hard! We ran into this place to seek shelter until the rain calmed down and we were so glad we did. The drinks are SO good! We will definitely be back. Service was 10/10. This is an upscale restaurant/bar.

David S.

Yelp
Second time coming, once again excellent. Upscale and laid back, host with the backwards hat once again very good at his job. Checked in with not too often, not too sparsely, just great friendly nonchalant service. Got both the Goat Cheese and Calamari salads, tasty and light and I really love how much of the menu is gluten free. I'm very sensitive as a Celiac of 20 years so, places I eat and drink well and mever get sick mean a lot to me. Cocktails are delicious, layered and well made. I love mezcal cocktails and Juju is right up my alley. Will be back often, and keeping this place in mind for private event rentals (ask someone here, they're a great deal actually)

Susan D.

Yelp
An absolutely wonderful evening at Juju Kitchen and then off to the performing arts theater to see Six the Musical!! The atmosphere was cozy and elegant. The service fast and friendly. I am GF and the menu is 95% GF!!! So no worries or concerns here. My daughter and I shared: Fried Brussels Sprouts (we wanted seconds) Meatballs w/marinara (we wanted seconds) Shrimp tacos (delicious) Chicken tinga tostadas Fried Mac n cheese w/romesco sauce Roasted garlic and Parmesan arancini (similar to fried risotto) And there were four other gf dishes on the menu but by the time we finished what we had ordered we were feeling stuffed and had to move on to our next event for the evening a very quick and easy walk to the Performing Arts Center. However we did have dessert. Chocolate lava cake and crème brûlée. Both gluten free as well! I am so thankful that juju kitchen focuses on gluten free options!

Alexis L.

Yelp
Drinks were great. Didn't have food, but the bartender was super friendly and made some really good drinks

Kelli S.

Yelp
Their Instagram page had me wanting to try the specialty cocktails and they did not disappoint. Loved the small bites also. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, potatoes, beef tacos and the falafel ate absolutely everything. So good. Will be back. I got there early, like 4:30, and it was very slow. It picked up and was packed by 5:30. Service was great though and food and drinks came quickly.

Kid D.

Yelp
We've been to Juju's several times for an array of starters and small plates. This place is terrific and has great food and the atmosphere is bight and modern. We love the grilled calamari and white beans, so light and fresh. Also love the arancini, so crispy and salty! We also love the mushroom puff pastry, it's just the right amount of richness without being heavy and the mushrooms (including oyster and other interesting varieties) are so flavorful. We've also enjoyed the shrimp tacos, a great amount of shrimp, but not quite as special as some of their other dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially for happy hour when all of the starters are $2 off (I think).

Rosh V.

Yelp
Ambiance 5/5 - definitely millennial Instagram-worthy decor. Food 2/5 - the meatballs were great, but everything else tasted microwaved. The "wagyu pasta" was more like Chef boyardee. Service 5/5 - the other reviews complain about bad service, so it seems like they stepped up their game there. We also were there at a quieter time, maybe that helped. Drinks 2/5 - cute titles for the drinks but I could've made better at home.

Katie D.

Yelp
5/5 business!! I stayed at the Residence Inn connected to this bar, but I didn't realize they were connected until the last night! It was so good I came back twice in the same day :)) First time, I just ordered a margarita for $10 (it was the cocktail of the week, jimmy buffett I think). The marg was fresh and very strong. I felt tipsy after just one. I like how the margarita tasted like fresh lime juice and was not overly sweet. Second time, I had another margarita and an apple crumb. The second margarita was not as strong but still very good. The apple crumble was perfect for the fall. The ambiance in here is very chic and modern. I love anything with pastel pink and plants all over. Can't wait to com

Melissa D.

Yelp
Delicious food. Great service. Modern ambiance. Definitely a fun place to get small bites and drinks.

Sirena Y.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night around 7pm after seeing their recent seasonal Gettin Figgy Wit It cocktail posted on their Instagram. Also love small plates/tapas since they give you the ability to try lots of things during a single meal. The environment is very open, somewhat industrial with the concrete floor, high ceilings, and large windows, but also mid-century modern with the pink wall behind the bar, light wood accents, and furniture. Comfortable, clean, but a bit cold with the AC blasting. We of course ordered their Gettin Figgy Wit It which includes Mezcal so if you like a smokey flavored drink, you have to try this. We also tried their Daydream Believer cocktail which is a more fruity rum based drink that I absolutely loved. For small plates, we had their grilled shrimp tacos with chipotle slaw, roasted yukon gold potatoes with spicy aioli, arugula salad with goat cheese, dried cranberries, mandarin orange slices, and walnut pieces, fried Brussels sprouts with lemon aioli, and barbacoa tacos with white onion, cilantro, and salsa verde. Everything except the barbacoa tacos were perfect! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and had great fresh flavor, the potatoes were perfectly salted, the arugula salad was well balanced, and the aiolis paired nicely. The barbacoa tacos were unfortunately not as tender, juicy, or flavorful like expected and the salsa verde was lacking in depth and flavor, but for this being our only let down given everything we tried, it was an overall success! Would love to go back. Great place to share food with good company and sip on quality craft cocktails.

Yelp
Juju is a swanky little restaurant to grab cocktails and some appetizers. It is the restaurant or dining option for the Residence Inn (Sacramento Downtown at Capitol Park) next door. The contemporary interior design is lovely with muted warm colors, like dusty rose and rust. Leather and velvety chair fabrics give a feeling of luxury. Modern dimmed lighting with a floating leafy chandelier. You'll need to use a low lighting or night mode on your camera phone to get sharp photos. As warned by my Foodies of Rocklin/Roseville Facebook group, Juju is not a place to go if you are hungry, and that advice was so spot on. Even after ordering six small plates, I was still hungry. I had skipped lunch, so that didn't help. Another not-so-hungry friend and I shared the following tapas: 1. Butternut Squash & Parmesan Arancini - $7 2. Fried Goat Cheese with Arugula, Pomegranate, and Pistachio - $7 3. Fettuccine Alla Bolognese with Parmesan - $10 4. Patatas Bravas - $7 5. Grilled Calamari - $8 6. Crispy Pork Belly with Mexican Cabbage Salad - $8 We loved the Arancini the most. Perfectly fried. Creamy, cheesy comfort food. Yummy risotto balls. Order every person their own plate! My second favorite was the Fried Goat Cheese. I thought the peppery flavor of arugula paired well with the pomegranate seeds. My friend thought the roasted pistachio was mismatched. The fettuccine was OK. Meat sauce with the saltiness from the grated Parmesan cheese. I was hoping that would fill me up, but nope. Everything else I wouldn't reorder. I ordered the $14 French Exit cocktail. It has gin, lillet, chartreuse, lemon, and egg white. I liked the lemon flavor. Well balanced, tasty drink, but you don't get much. It took a long time to get the bill. Bartenders were busy serving at the bar, so they are not the ones to ask unless you are sitting there. Servers were polite and helpful when asked what to order. Various servers stopped by or passed our table, so I never was quite sure who was our server. Maybe it's a shared responsibility? If money and time are no object and you want the romantic ambience of a cocktail lounge next door to a nice hotel, give Juju a shot.

Yelp
Juju's is my favorite restaurant downtown. I love the food and the small plates. Last time I had the calamari salad and the hummus plate. Delicious! I also had the espresso martini and really wanted another and another but wanted to make it to the theater and stay awake to watch the show. The service was great tho we felt that the server could have been a little more personable

Yelp
A girl walked into a new bar... If you want to get your juju on after work, stop on by for a strong drink, and a few bites. If you're craving a friendly place, Juju isn't it. When I arrived, no one greeted me, offered to seat me, or tell me to wait etc. I wandered around until I found someone that worked there. When I asked about seating, he grumbled, and said I could seat myself. If you're concerned about distancing or sanitization, this isn't the place for you. It's not happening here. Table service was pretty much the same. Juju kitchen should be named Juju cocktails. While they offer some appetizers, they are pricey for what's offered, and nothing to write home about. The falafel is like a ball of grass that has been deep fried. It was fairly bland, and the tahini isn't of much help. It's a non-starter for the starters. The arancini was served without sauce. Just plopped on a plate. It needed either the traditional marinara with a sprinkling of Parm, or some unique sauce to make this so so dish a tad bit tastier. Happy hour is offered for what feels like a hot minute. It's mostly drinks, and they are served cold and super strong. They have more wine offerings, but the good looking bartender could pretty much make you almost any type of mixed drinks. While Juju is fairly new, it's a place to meet for a rendezvous, not a cool place to hang with friends. It doesn't scream relax and enjoy. We made the best of it, but it's not a place I'd choose again.

Yelp
I walked into this place and was instantly intrigued. This used to be Three Fires connected to the hotel. Wow! The remake is amazing- beautiful, spacious, cozy, welcoming. We went for happy hour. They have a daily cocktail (yum!) and great small bites. The falafel bites were the most flavorful freah bites without that deep fried taste. My fav-- the bartender making me a speciality drink based on my request. Oh I'll be back!

Yelp
Came here after work this week during happy hour for drinks and snacks. During happy hour you can get a bartender's choice cocktail for $10, which is about $4 less than most of their regular cocktail prices. When I went it was a Bee's Knees, which was quite good. We shared a bunch of small plates. The barbacoa tacos were tasty and had a little kick. The goat cheese and fig compote were nice as well, with a tasty, crumbly cheese. The fried Brussels sprouts were good, and you definitely get a fair amount in that order. Patatas bravas were pretty good. The roasted mushrooms were really good. Next time I come back I want to try the arancini and the falafel. Wait staff was friendly and helpful, and both drinks and food came quickly. We sat on their patio, which was nice except it was sunny and there weren't umbrellas to block it. Happy hour deals were pretty good, but wish they included some food options as well. Tons of vegetarian options, which was great as we had a vegetarian in our party. Great spot for after work drinks and snacks!

Yelp
Katie and I tried to get into the restaurant across the street. But it was a 45 minute wait, with no room at the bar. As we started walking towards a Mexican restaurant we'd been to before, when I noticed diners on the corner. Pulled up Yelp and saw it was Juju Kitchen & Cocktails, with a good rating. It did not disappoint. We sat at the bar and had a tough time choosing our small plates. Thee were so many interesting options. We went with the two barbacoa tacos which we shared and individual orders of BBQ shrimp. Both were delectable. Our drinks were generous - my Tanqueray 10 martini and Katie's standard margarita on the rocks, no salt. We had the brownie a la mode for a sweet finish. Carly, our bartender displayed the professionalism her 19 years of experience afforded. If you are in the mood for a lite meal and a good drink, stop in.

Yelp
The cocktails alone can sell this place millions. We got to try fun options and they were refreshing and tasty. we loved the food as well. They are served more like tapas, so they are smaller dishes, but they are good to share and get plenty. we loved the calamari strips and the potatoes the best. Just good food and a fun little restaurant to sit in. Get their early on the weekends due to it filling up and there being more of a wait when it comes to the food. Staff were friendly and kind and they gave us plenty of information regarding the food! We would come back here during the less busy nights to have more time to sit.

Yelp
My husband and I came here on a whim. I had heard good things about this place, and we were in the area so we decided to drop by. Both of us were fairly hungry so we ordered quite a bit of food. We shared the grilled calamari, green beans, beef barbacoa tacos, grilled shrimp, meatballs, and patatas bravas. The calamari, green beans, shrimp, and patatas bravas were our favorites. The sauce on all of these dishes were very flavorful, and definitely worth coming back for. I loved that the calamari was grilled instead of fried. Serving the calamari grilled added a nice flavor and change in how calamari is typically served (at least at the restaurants I have been). As far as the drinks, I had a glass of Albariño and ordered the French Exit. The cocktail was good, but I definitely would want to try other drinks on the menu. My husband had the Last Dance with Mary Rose. The drink was interesting, because there was a slight black licorice flavor. I am not a fan of black licorice, but I think for those who like the flavor, they will enjoy the drink. The restaurant is a cool spot with good drinks and food. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Overall: Loved the ambiance and cocktails, but tapas were mediocre Food: although there was a large list to chose from, the items that sounds delicious were limited. We ultimately decided on the shrimp, barbacoa tacos, goat cheese salad, and cheese balls. Everything tasted good, but nothing memorable. The items in the goat cheese salad did not complement well. Ambiance: great location across the street from the capital park. The ambiance was perfect for happy hour or a bite with friends. 5/5! Convenience: street parking was easy to find on a Thursday evening. No reservations were necessary and open seating was available. It was still busy enough to feel good to be surrounded by people. And the service was pleasant and attentive
