I can’t believe this hidden gem has been around for eight years in the Old Town Alexandria area. I only just found out about it! It might have had a different name before, but regardless, it’s definitely worth checking out. The views are incredible, stretching from the Wilson Bridge all the way to the Washington Monument. We went for brunch and were not disappointed. The Crab and Beef Benedict was outstanding, and the French toast was delicious. The service was excellent. A big thank you to Nev, our kind and attentive waitress, who also took some great photos for us. This spot is perfect for any group size, whether you’re out with family, friends, or just a small crowd.

I’ve been to Jula’s a few times for various reasons, like Happy Hour with colleagues, my husband took me for my birthday last year, and most recently - I took my close friend to celebrate her birthday. Each and every time I’ve been the food, service and ambience have consistently been top tier. With the layout of the restaurant, you can literally have the experience that you are hoping for - because they have a great variety of seating options! From a secluded and intimate booth option, to a table at the bar facing the terrace, or a seat next to the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water! You can really add to the amazing food with the beautiful vibes. From my most recent visit, I had the Crab Bisque to start and the Creole Shrimp Linguine for my main. Both of which were 10/10 delicious. Looking forward to my next visit!

Quintin “Q” was our waiter and he was great! He was attentive, quick, and filled with recommendations. Everything he recommended was good! Drinks: Tropical Mojito and Peach Bellini Starters: Caesar and Duck rolls Main: Sweet and sticky short rib, Cajun shrimp pasta

Disappointing Experience – Poor Service & Overpriced for the Quality First and last time visiting Julia’s on the Potomac. We had a 1:00 PM reservation and still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. When we were finally shown to our table, there were long black hairs on it — completely unacceptable. The hostess apologized, but it set a bad tone from the start. When I tried to customize my omelette by adding two toppings, the server told me, “The kitchen will kill me if I put in the order that way,” and made me order in a way that charged extra for each topping. Even then, it came out missing the avocado I ordered. Someone else at our table had cold potatoes that had to be sent back. After declining dessert, we were left waiting 20 minutes for the check while our server restocked plates and did other side work. To top it all off, a 20% gratuity was automatically added — despite the lackluster food and poor service. When we voiced our concerns to the front staff, they offered nothing but a dismissive “sorry.” For the high prices, the experience should be far better. Bad service, mediocre food, and no accountability from the staff. Not worth it.

Just finished my dinner here at Jula’s lets me start with the amazing customer service when I came in and when I was serviced by Sarah! Sarah was awesome - I allowed her to pick my entree out of her two options she recommended and the entree she chose was delicious! She even take great photos! Thanks Sarah, I’ll be back!

We came here to celebrate my man’s birthday and this was our first visit! We love the atmosphere, the water view, and the food! Definitely a dope place to have a girls night out, bring your partner, dinner with the family, or just a happy hour. Thank you Q for great service. Young lady with the pink hair didn’t forget about my honey when she brought out others food. I do recommend to offer honey butter with your special bread. It hits different with the salt on top!

This was my second time having brunch here on a Sunday, and I loved it! The food is delicious. The service was top-tier… James was amazing. And the staff was helpful, because I accidentally forgot my wallet. They called me and I returned to pick it up within a few minutes.

Google
We had a really great dinner here. We came a bit early in the evening with no reservation and we were seated immediately. Our server, Quintin or “Q”, was excellent. He had a great smile, offered delicious recommendations, and was attentive our entire meal. We order the lamb lollipops as a starter, which were tender and very flavorful. We had the duck and the Cajun pasta as our entrees, which both came out hot, cooked to order and were very good. Mix in beautiful views of the Potomac and this experience was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Went to Jula's on the Potomac today. The restaurant itself is really nice, but since we went a bit late for lunch, most of the main entrées were already gone ,so we ended up trying a mix of starters. We had lamb lollipops, smoked Rappahannock oysters, wood-grilled octopus, Creole shrimp linguini, duck confit cavatelli, and of course some fries. Everything was fresh and flavorful. But honestly, the best part was the view Sitting on the 4th floor overlooking the Potomac River just made the whole experience so much more special. Good food with a beautiful view ,can't really ask for more!

Yelp
Jula's is about the view with fine dining. Outside terrace or indoor windows let you watch crew shells, sail boats, and occasional other ship passing by on the Potomac. Food is good with extensive bar. However, bang for buck, I was not impressed. Showed up for our early reservation and waited 10 minutes as they wiped down our terrace table, then sat us. There are at least 4 different menus, inside and outside have different menus and you cannot order from the other. Plus restaurant week and fresh seafood/dessert menu. We ordered from outside menu which is smaller tapas-style plates. Tried to order a dessert from the outside menu but was told carrot cake was discontinued and were limited to dessert menu. If you're going to play such games, get it right. Don't bait and switch. Lastly, if food was great, we'd overlook all that. It was meh. Still fine dining and nothing was bad, but nothing impressed. One of the mocktails was excellent. My wife had to salt multiple items, although Parker rolls were coated in salt. We may give it a try for brunch sometime given the views.

Yelp
Unimpressed. They recently had a new look and updated interior. But the food and service just not good enough to make this place special. 1. Reservation: necessary 2. The view: is probably their best asset, however, the view is of the water treatment facility isn't too helpful. 3. Food: 3 stars at best I would just say, meh. 4. Drinks: 3 stars Again, nothing special. 5. Service: pushy, slow and awkward. I really did not like it here. 6. parking and everything isn't too convenient either.

Yelp
IMPECCABLE service, food, and ambiance! This was my first time coming with a group of friends and I have zero regrets. The decor is extremely aesthetic from the grass wall on the outside to the inside flower arrangements, you definitely get an upscale vibe. We decided to sit at the bar and our server, Jeremy, was extremely personable and very prompt. He also read the room well and made sure he came around during times where our conversations died down instead of interrupting our group which we greatly appreciated. Bre, who was also at the bar, was amazing! Her recommendations from drinks to food were SPOT ON. I even left with a dessert and to-go dish based on her recommendations, if she was selling a car I'd buy it lol. For food, I ordered the Wagyu Piggies in a Biscuit which were so delicious. I have a mustard allergy so I asked for that to be excluded and they were still super yummy! The crab dip was not the best I've had as the consistency was watery/soupy, but it was flavorful. I ordered the Creole Shrimp Pasta to go and it was PHENOMENAL! I ordered three of their cocktails-- (starts with an H) Lemonade, Tropical Mojito, and the Gran Paraniso. Each drink was great, and goes from the least strong to the most strong liquor-wise. My favorite of the three was the Lemonade, it's one of those as you drink it sneaks up on you type of drinks which I enjoy. I took the peach cheesecake to go and it was DELICIOUS! All desserts are made in-house and some change seasonally so I can't wait to come back to try other treats. My bill was around $115 which is such a great price for everything I ordered. I ordered off of their happy hour menu for the 3 drinks and the 2 food dishes. The creole shrimp pasta entree and cheesecake were from their dinner menu (which gives you an idea of how long we decided to stay there). Would I return? Most definitely!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place based on the overall ambiance and menu options, but I was extremely disappointed. I visited a little before noon on a Saturday to enjoy a solo brunch for restaurant week. I sat at the bar was provided a regular menu. I asked the bartender for the restaurant week menu and was made aware that they were out of two of the four restaurant week entree items, including the one item that I came for specifically. I found this odd when the restaurant could have acquired the items over the course of the week to prepare for the first brunch of the weekend. I was very disappointed, as the croque madame is not on their regular menu. I decided to stick around as this was my first visit to the establishment. I started off with the brunch cocktail flight. The bartender just placed it down, without any explanation of which drink was which. The bartender I first engaged with gave off a negative aura. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The rest of my visit was hosted by another bartender (Jeremy?). He was the only highlight of my visit. The chicken and waffles were underwhelming to say the least. I feel like I could have gotten a better version out of the freezer aisle at the grocery store. Even slathered with butter and syrup, the chicken and waffles were bland. I finished my meal with a pumpkin chai-tini, which was good. Overall, I would not return.

Yelp
Went for brunch with friends. Reserved a table on the deck. Views were great. Service was excellent. Our server made our mimosas table-side. There are super cute backdrops for photos. Great experience but make sure you make a reservation ahead of time because it does fill up quickly! There are a handful (maybe 3-5?) free on-site parking spots you can use if you have an early brunch reservation.

Yelp
Food presentation is on point! Missing flavor in many dishes. We went during brunch time they were quite busy but service was still pretty good... our waiter was friendly and made corrections once it was brought to his attention. The location is gorgeous, I can only imagine it at night with the patio lighting on the water. Would definitely return!!!

Yelp
Food is always top quality. Especially brunch, when we usually go. Service is friendly upon arrival at the host stand. We like sitting at the bar and those guys are super cool.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for some time now! I love how they have many different seating options and a great view. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. I got the tropical mojito and it was dangerously delicious. I could have had several. The Parkerhouse rolls were soft and fluffy and I liked the butter that was paired with it. The truffle flat bread had the perfect balance of truffle and onion flavor. I definitely want to come back for happy hour or a sunset dinner!

Yelp
Ambiance is beautiful, our server Vet was great. Food was very hot and we tried a few things. Thoroughly enjoyed the mimosa flight as well. Notable recommendations the Bread Pudding French Toast and the Shrimp/Samon w/ Grits. Wouldn't get the charbroiled oysters again.

Yelp
Brunch is worth the experience! Think breathtaking views, great service, amazing drinks, and scrumptious food. Service: Thanks, Will! Your service was great and your recommendations were the best. Beverage: the peach Bellini was to die for! And it added just the right touch as you stare out at the water. Food: For starters we had the biscuits and they were buttery soft and addictive! SO delicious. Next, I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and while it wasn't my favorite, members of my party enjoyed it. However, it wasn't my pick because the oysters simply had too much liquid in it so I didn't enjoy them as much. My main dish was the shrimp and grits and believe me when I say that this was one of the BEST shrimp and grits dishes I've had in a while. They were really generous with the shrimp and I had enough leftovers for the next day. The grits were creamy and the flavor lingered on your tongue. But the shrimp was perfectly grilled and seasoned! OMG I was in heaven. I was celebrating my birthday so the team surprised me with a birthday dessert on the house and that tiramisu hit the spot! Perfect way to celebrate my birthday-I cannot wait to return! Good for groups, great for a date, or just simple fun with friends. Add this place to your must try.

Yelp
Jula's was in her bookmarks so Jula's it is. I've been once before and I don't know why I didn't drop a review given how dope this place is. Located in "North Old Town" on the top floor of an office building that sits on the Potomac River, this converted café is now a super nice restaurant that could easily be transformed to upscale by simply adding white linen table clothes!! Yep, as easy as that..LOL! The water views cannot be beat, and they have ample outdoor seating for the warmer days. The brunch menu is awesome. She went for the chicken and waffles and I chose the loaded lobster omelet. I'm not a huge omelet fan but this one was OUTSTANDING. Her waffles were hot and fluffy and although the chicken was cooked perfect, it needed a little salt. That's the hard thing about chicken breast. They may want to offer wings to give the buyers a choice. Just a thought! The deviled eggs were good not great, I'd get them again, her..nah..lol! Our server was engaging and responsive. The dinner menu looks pretty dam* good also, so good, we may have to come back this weekend to check it out! Jula's is a place that sits all alone, so if you don't know, you don't know... Now you know!!

Yelp
Now, this is a story all about how my life got flipped, and turned upside down. I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there. I'll tell you how I became a fan of this place right here. (Yeah, yeah I put a spin on it.) First, I've wanted to try this forever, since it opened in June of 2023, I'm kicking myself right now knowing I've been missing out. Ambiance: SEXY, SEXY, SEXY - minimalist vibes but sleek. Can't wait to dress up and come back for dinner! Views are everything! Stunning! I love water even our lil ole dirty Potomac. Service: Mike was awesome, front desk crew nice and attentive. Let's Get Into It! Brunch, here we go! Appetizer: Deviled Eggs - Met expectations, pretty good! Main Entree's: Chicken and Waffle - Exceeded expectations, after two bites I was full but somehow I ate most of my meal. Shrugs. Lobster Omelette: Delicious, exceeded expectations! Peach Bellini- Great! Coffee - PERFECT! Do you need to come try this place out? YES! Such a VIBE!

Yelp
The apps were delicious, wafer view with tables both inside and outside. Food was great as well! Highly recommend the lava cake and vanilla gelato! It was the best I've ever had! Definite must have!

Yelp
I had a very disappointing experience here, absolutely terrible customer service. We were seated outside when a bug landed on my food and walked all over it. Naturally, I didn't feel comfortable finishing the meal. Our waitress was kind and understanding, and even agreed to move us inside, but the manager's response was shocking. He came over with my plate, did not offer an apology, and simply said, "I cannot ask the kitchen to make you a new meal. That's the hazard of sitting outside." While I understand things like this are nobody's fault, the complete lack of initiative to take care of a customer was unacceptable. Instead of showing any concern, the manager dismissed the situation and made it clear the restaurant had no interest in standing behind its service. I was still charged for the full meal I could not finish. It's one thing to deal with "outdoor dining hazards." It's another when management doubles down on arrogance and refuses to take care of paying customers. That attitude says everything I need to know. I will not be coming back, a little care and understanding goes a long way in hospitality. I'd advise others to think twice before spending their money here.

Yelp
Met friends for brunch here. The inside is modern and bright. They have a nice bar, outdoor patio overlooking the Potomac and oysters on display. All the staff we interacted with were friendly. Our waiter was a lot of fun and playful. We really enjoyed him. The food was good. I got the chicken and waffles. I could have done without the dulce de leche sauce and just used syrup but the chicken was wel cooked and crispy crunchy crust. I do wish it came with a small side of fruit. I also got a Bloody Mary which was well spiced and yummy. My spouse got the Chesapeake Benedict and a cocktail flight. She noted she only liked the mimosa out of the flight that the other too weren't good or were too sweet. All in all we would come back here again!
google avatar

Yelp
There's somes street parking nearby. We had a reservation and they did take a couple minutes to seat us. We ordered the Tiramisu Espresso Martini which really good. It came with a lady finger that you could dip in it. We then ordered the Bottle Mimosa to share. For our food, we ordered the Burrata, Deviled Eggs and Housemade Biscuits. Loved the burrata and the Deviled Eggs. I'm not usually one to order biscuits but the jam and butter that came with it was delicious and tasted good with the burrata as well. For our mains, I ordered the Brunch Burger and my husband ordered the Lobster Omelete. Recommend both. We loved everything we had. Service was great until the end where we had trouble finding our server for for more water and the check. Overall a good time, outside looked like nice to sit when it's nice outside. Would likely come back to try other drinks and food.

Yelp
We had an amazing dining experience. Brunch was delicious! The drinks were just as impressive, hubby said the Old Fashioned was top-notch, and my French martini was smooth and delicious. Great ambiance, attentive service, and quality ingredients made this a spot I'd absolutely recommend. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Haven't been here since it was cafe 44 but I def love the upgrade as Jula's is more spacious. It was a gloomy day when I visited but the views of the water were still pleasant. The mimosa flight was crisp and more champagne than juice like I like. For my brunch entree, I opted for the Cajun salmon and grits which was very delicious. My friend had the bread pudding French toast with a side of breakfast potatoes and bacon. The bread pudding was very moist and tasty but she did find a hair in it. Our waiter graciously took it to the back and the manager came out with a fresh one with a new side of bacon. Outside of the hiccup, I would return to the restaurant in the future to try the social hour and dinner as they have a pretty extensive menu.

Yelp
We checked out Sunday brunch and everything was amazing from start to finish! Our server was Jeremy and the staff were great. Drinks: Empress 75 Lavender Martini Food items reviewed: Oysters Chicken & Waffles French Toast Bread Pudding The rooftop has an amazing view! Parking is underneath the building and reasonable prices. I can't wait to host an event there.

Yelp
The food was amazing!!! My entire experience at this restaurant was a huge thumbs up. From the drinks to the dessert, I would highly recommend this place. Will make sure to visit when we visit the area again.

Yelp
Great father's day brunch. Requested outdoor seating and they obliged - giving us a seat that was covered in case it started to sprinkle again. The view is fabulous and the staff are really trying hard to be a well oiled machine. The have the Luc Belaire sparking French wine that has the fun blue tint making your mimosas green - a fun touch. The uncharge on the bottle is heavy but it was a beautiful day so we went for it. Food was fresh and they had gluten free bread !! The short rib Benedict was delicious and their breakfast potatoes a delight. I'm only dinging a star because my food was almost cold - which was a bummer. We'd still go back given the freshness service etc. ALSO FOR PARKING - Park on the first level of the garage and go through a steel door closest to where the ramp is. In the hallway open the door to the left. Elevator takes you straight up. They REALLY need signs / sandwich boards in the garage.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a local, both for the food and the location on the water, so we decided to give it a try. It's a little odd that it's in an office building, but you quickly forget that once you enter the space. We were taken back to our table on the patio by a friendly young man who shared the history of the restaurant. He was just the first of the incredibly friendly staff members we encountered at Jula's, including our server, Jeremy (but more on him later). We sat on the patio which has beautiful views of the river and DC, in the distance. The menu has a lot of amazing choices, but my daughter loves deviled eggs, so we started there - a great choice! I went for the Crab Benedict as my entree and loved it. The others in the group had the chicken & waffles, Chesapeake and Croque Madame and everyone truly enjoyed their meals. The experience was topped off by the outstanding service from Jeremy. I think I can honestly say that he was one of the most enjoyable servers I have ever had. He was super friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu and a had great sense of humor. Toward the end of the meal, we were asking him for recommendations of things to see and do in Alexandria since we had never been there before. He gave us a bunch of ideas, and then came back a few minutes later with a handwritten list of suggestions! Simply amazing service...and just a good dude!

Yelp
Girl's day out with brunch at Jula's was perfect. Although we were late for our reservation they accommodated us quickly. The front staff even took our pictures in front of their grass wall. Our food arrived promptly and without any issues. We enjoyed the chicken & waffle, steak frites, & customized omelet with a caesar salad. It tasted great as well. We sat outside and the atmosphere gorgeous while overlooking the river and watching the airplanes. We agreed to return here again and try dinner or happy hour.

Yelp
I dined at Jula's on the Potomac with a friend for the first time since the name changed. The restaurant is in a small office complex, so parking is not really a problem. In the evening and weekends, the cost is $5. The building entrance is ease to locate and upon arriving on the 4th floor, the front desk staff are inviting. With a reservation, we were seated quickly by a bay of windows overlooking the water and park. Soon after being seated, we were greeted by our waiter, Sam; who was attentive and accommodating. We ordered beverages, made inquiries about the menu, and asked questions of the kitchen. Once that was taken care of, we both ordered Pepperoni Flatbread for an appetizer. I enjoyed the taste, but it was too small. We placed our entrée orders, she jumbo crab cakes with roasted potatoes, and me creole shrimp. Both entrees were well seasoned, and prepared as requested. We enjoyed our meals. I ordered the unconventional carrot cake for us to share, when it arrived, I was immediately deflated. It was small cupcake size, smoothed with icing on an ice-cold saucer. It was not worth $12, I sent it back, and requested for it to be removed from the check. We received the itemized check, after seeing the hot tea I ordered was $7, I was peeved. It was not how I wanted to end the evening. Despite the dessert and beverage incidents, I gave a 4- star rating.

Yelp
I've been to Jula's once before when it was called Cafe 44. They have done a lot to make this place way nicer! The tables, chairs and decore are really upscale now. The restaurant itself is a really nice spot on the Potomac - with views over looking the river. We were seated right away on a Sunday with a reservation. The menu items all looked so good- it was hard to choose! It would have been nice if our waiter came to the table in a timely manner... we waited at least 15 mins before we were asked about our drink orders. I got the avocado toast which was very tasty. Only issue I had was my poached egg was undercooked. I can't stand runny whites - gross. I noticed my friend's Shakshuka eggs were undercooked too. I got a side of grits and they were ok. They could have used more salt and cheese. My friends both had the bruleed grapefruit and they enjoyed them. I think with a few tweaks this place could be really great!

Yelp
Scenic restaurant hidden on the top floor of an office building that overlooks the Potomac Slightly upscale, and prices are high The space, food menu, and drink menu are all huge. The space has a ton of seating in both the bar and dining area. The menu is primarily seafood oriented, but there are plenty of other options as well I came here with my GF and we each got a cocktail, a bread basket appetizer, and an entree (shrimp & grits for me and chicken Milanese for her). All of our food was very tasty, and our drinks were solid as well Everyone that we interacted with was very friendly and hospitable They do give you a card at the end of your visit to rate the place on google, which explains the absurdly high rating there

Yelp
Jula's is a lovely little brunch place with gorgeous views of the Potomac. It's gorgeously decorated with options to eat both inside and outside with views of the river. We came here for my friend's birthday brunch and were served by the amazing Mike - who promptly addressed each of our requests and anticipated most of our needs! he was very professional, patient, and friendly. Absolutely five star service! That said, I was a little disappointed in the food for the price. It was beautifully presented, and delivered hot and ready to eat but the flavors fell short. Maybe it's because my girl friend has eaten here four or five times and she talked it up so much that my expectations were too high. It could also be that the vegetarian options were not as flavorful as the meat options. Regardless, I'd recommend this restaurant for brunch any day of the week! We had a ball. Mike was wonderful. - And the mimosas were deliciously dangerous

Yelp
Went to Jula's for brunch on our anniversary last year. It is a beautiful establishment. The menu was wonderful and we loved every dish. We especially liked the gravy and biscuits, bacon and crab cakes and mimosas, of course. You can see the planes at the airport through the floor to ceiling windows. We will be returning!

Yelp
We met for a birthday brunch. The restaurant and view were both clear and beautiful. Our friends arrived before we did, so we arrived in time to order brunch and mimosas. The restaurant menu was plentiful and varied. The service was cheerful and quick. We greatly enjoyed our time here.

Yelp
Let me start by saying what a beautiful venue. The service was great for the volume of people that were here. I went with the breakfast burrito and french toast bread pudding. The bread pudding was absolutely fantastic. I'm a sweet tooth and this definitely satisfied the craving. Me and my friends are coming back to try more things soon!

Yelp
Jula's on the Potomac is a hidden gem in Alexandria. It's close to the Alexandria downtown area but far enough where's it's not crowded with tourists. The restaurant has a parking lot with about 8 spaces, but street parking is plentiful. Inside of the restaurant is extremely spacious and provides a panoramic view of the water. I would definitely make a reservation on the weekends for brunch. The food was very good. They have a good meal selection, but the salad portion sizes seemed small. The waiter was absolutely phenomenal! He was so friendly and checked on us frequently.

Yelp
I am so glad to have found this lovely place thanks to other Yelpers! This restaurant is fantastic!from the moment you walk in. Julia's!! My new favorite place! The restaurant is located on the 4th floor of what appears to be an office building. The restaurant boasts a large bar area with table top seating (make a reservation if possible!) an outdoor seating area (be conscious of the DC water plant just across the river!!) and a large dining area. I was blown away by the views! Our server, Sam, was very, very nice and extremely attentive. Awesome service! He answered our menu questions as it seemed to take a few mins to come off of the ambiance and focus on the menu! We ordered cocktails - I had a yummy and fruity one with tequila haha. We ordered their version of firecracker (fried) shrimp for starters (it was a pretty small portion) and I had a small salad. Delicious! I had the shrimp and grits which was very flavorful! It surely did not disappoint! Overall, the service, ambiance and food were surely top notch. I will definitely return!

Yelp
Jula's is a great spot in Alexandria that's right near the water. They have outdoor seating when the weather is nice. The indoor area is really spacious with a bar, a wine bar and general seating areas. They have an oyster and charcuterie section too. I got the shrimp and grits, plus a homemade biscuit with their fresh berry jam. The presentation was really classy and the flavors were great. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. And the homemade biscuit with the jam is a nice little treat.

Yelp
Mother's Day Brunch 2024. Reservations made weeks ahead (of course). Welcomed nicely and seated by wonderful host (who later thoughtfully offered to take our pictures) as she passed us entering the photo wall. Thanks and sorry I didn't get your name. We were greeted by Will our waiter soon after being seated. He was pleasant. We ordered biscuits and deviled eggs to start. The eggs are amazingly flavorful and special. The biscuits were heavy and just okay in flavor and texture. Not exactly what I think of when I think of a biscuit. Two of us ordered the lobster omelet w potatoes, one ordered waffles w crispy bacon on the side and another family member ordered the creole shrimp and sausage omelet with potatoes. The potatoes were flavorful, the lobster omelette was nice with tender lobster claw meat and flavor. The size did not strike me as 3 eggs however. Tasted the waffle and it was flavorful and appealing. Will our server, although nice, was not detailed oriented and details are significant when you are a waiter. During the meal I had to ask: -twice for spenda for my tea -a set of replacement silverware after he took mine and said he'd replace it (couldn't eat til he brought a new set) -syrup for the waffles -salt and pepper (the pepper shaker was empty I changed orders early-on and my check included the cancelled entree and I had to ask to have that removed. The dining room and atmosphere are gorgeous and overlooks the river. I would certainly return here again.

Yelp
Food was okay but gave us the runs. The location is quite beautiful. The two star review is primarily due to the attitude that everyone working here has. From the host answering the phones and asking me to put down a deposit to change a 6 person rez to 7, to the hostess who couldn't stand my question of sitting outside for my fiancée's birthday although there was an abundance of free seating. I'm good to not come back.

Yelp
I have been to Jula's many times prior to the renovation, this was my first experience post reno and let me just start by saying they really did an amazing job! The space has been transformed into a beautiful oasis overlooking the Potomac River. This time we visited for brunch and let me say that Jula's is a popular place to visit during brunch. I don't think there was an empty table the entire time we were there. With that being said, it was a little louder than normal this visit but that would be the only negative I have to say. For starters, we went with the Oysters on the half shell fresh and baked. They were a little small in size and lacked any real flavor, not sure if this was just a smaller batch or if they are the normal size but I would give them another chance on the next visit. For entrees we went with the Shrimp and grits and the Brunch burger. Both were flavorful and cooked well. You can trust and believe I will be back to visit Jula's as it's one of my favorite places. They never disappoint with service, food and views.

Yelp
Where do I begin. Who could've known that a name change and expansion of Cafe 44 would create such an absolutely unbelievable atmosphere along with great indoor and outdoor views. When you exit the elevator the doors are open and the vibe is welcoming. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server never missed a beat from dish recommendations to attentiveness. Everyone loved their food!!

Yelp
I visited for brunch. The food that I had was very delicious. I had this bread pudding French toast that was so good I forgot to take a picture. I also had an espresso martini, it was my first time ever having one and it was very underwhelming. The service was great, our server was very attentive and accommodating. It's a beautiful restaurant. I found it to be affordable. I would definitely return.

Yelp
For starters I was part of a party of 10 people! The view and the ambiance is everything that everyone says it is. I would absolutely go there again but mostly to sit at the bar and drink. They're great for large parties, they have two bars and the service was decent. We went for brunch so it was a little busy and it took a long time just for us to get our drinks. I had to order my NEXT drink whenever a drink was brought to me. The drinks were very tasteful. I had the French Toast Bread Pudding and it was great! I had an order of the deviled eggs with no bacon and they were bomb and tasted fresh! I also ordered a burger to go and it was ok. The rest of my party didn't really enjoy their food at all, and they order a variety of things.

Yelp
Came by for dinner and had a good experience with nice ambiance! There's street and paid garage parking in the building. Service: immediately seated at a booth as we had a reservation. Our server was busy but checked in on us at good times. Food: my favorite was the creole shrimp pasta! Big juicy shrimp and bountiful amounts of sausage. The sauce was incredible. I also tried pappardelle alla fiesolana but wasn't impressed. The pasta was too undercooked and parts of it were hard when I chewed. Calamari was also ok, not a fan of the breading. Bread pudding had raving reviews but also underwhelming. It was too dense. Ambiance: my favorite part of the place, well decorated and split between bar area and the restaurant. Loved the furniture and also the gender neutral bathrooms were clean and spacious. The drinks were pretty good! I can see they have a heavy focus on the drinks, the menu is as big as the food menu.

Yelp
Tropical Mojito: 10/10 5 deviled eggs: 10/10 Creole Shrimp Omelette: 7/10 The Cabin 10/10 This is a place made for views, cute dates, great cocktails and good food. If you enjoy a well balanced sweet drink, then get yourself the tropical mojito and if you are looking for something stiff and balanced then get the cabin. The creole shrimp omelette is good but needs a bit more flavor with the eggs because all of the flavor was held in the shrimp and sausage. The service was amazing and she was very attentive. I would recommend this place for anybody who wants to enjoy a moment by the water with a beautiful ambiance.

Yelp
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch on their patio overlooking the Potomac River. (Formerly Cafe44). Smooth lobster bisque to start followed by their Club sandwich with a generous amount of roasted turkey and a side of truffle fries was the perfect lunch. Companion enjoyed the PEAR & CHEESE FIOCCHI very much. On top of the wonderful environment the service was just as wonderful. Also out of the way of Old Town Alexandria tourist spots made for a relaxing lunch.

Yelp
I went here for lunch before and it was great so I decided to try their brunch. Definitely a different atmosphere compared to lunch during the week- it was packed and loud; but still a good time. It's nice and clean in there and I can only imagine how much nicer it'll be when the weather finally turns. The waffle was probably the only thing I didn't like- it just didn't do it for me. Staff were attentive and super helpful. I'll be back in the summer time!

Yelp
We celebrated Mother's Day here and it was just perfect. The food was delicious. The service was amazing and the view was outstanding. We were able to eat outside on the patio overlooking the bay. We even had music playing. There's a fun park setting right near where the kids could play and lots of excellent shopping.

Yelp
I wanted to check this place out for Alexandria restaurant week since they had a good menu. Upon entering, I really enjoyed the ambiance and the views of the water. I got the cajun shrimp pasta which was very flavorful and the pasta was perfectly al dente. I also got the corn and tomato chowder which was very creamy and comforting. My fiance got the sticky short ribs which was super tender and pairs great with the mashed potatoes. The staff did acknowledge that it was our anniversary but they didn't do anything special to celebrate it. However, service was quick and attentive.

Yelp
This is an excellent location for a waterfront view, and we were served so quickly after being seated. For a busy Sunday brunch, we were in and out! I tried the huckleberry lemonade, and my partner had the irish coffee both were very tasty The eggs benedict stands out we will be back for the variety, especially for the short rib eggs benny!! Its only not 5 stars because we ordered the French toast bread pudding but they were out:(
