First time here by a recommendation and will absolutely be back! Everything was fantastic from start to finish! From appetizers to desserts! The food was made with love for sure. The shrimp And grits were outstanding, some of the best I have ever had! The bread pudding was fantastic! So much I can say because we tried a few items and I will be back to try more. Our server Nico was outstanding. He took the time to explain the menu and make recommendations and suggestions. He was very kind, personable and attentive to us even with all the other tables he was responsible for. All the staff was very nice and friendly. I highly recommend you come experience this culinary delight for yourself.

Came here for lunch recently—got a table by the window with a nice view of the water. Restaurant is nice and spacious, and service was great! Started off with the Crab Dip and Short Rib Croquettes, both delicious! The Tableside Crab Bisque was pretty tasty with lots of crab meat. Croque Monsieur sandwich was good too, huge portion. For cocktails, we enjoyed the Bottle Service Mimosa which came with a bottle of champagne and your choice(s) of juice.

Fantastic restaurant overlooking the Potomac River.. Parking garage is beneath the restaurant which already gives the place a big thumbs up. Very beautiful restaurant that over looks the river. The staff were amazing and the food matched the service. I had the salmon, amazing! Wife had the chicken, my buddy had the crab cakes, all delicious! The drinks were delicious too, highly recommend The Chairman, comes in a smoking case delivered to your table, lots of fun. Look to spend around $50-60 a person, totally worth it!

This restaurant is beautiful!! The service is above and beyond!! The food is good not great. We went to celebrate our daughter's 22nd Birthday. When you arrive go in the building and take the elevator up and the doors open to the reception of the restaurant reception desk it smells like an overwhelming scent of Abercrombie and Fitch. We sat near the window to the pretty view, outdoor seating was gorgeous overlook the Potomac but for people that don't like heights I wouldn't recommend it. My daughter had the crab soup that I tried and it was ice cold like gazpacho great amount of real lump crab, I mentioned it to the waiter and he brought her another without hesitation the second one was warm at best but we didn't want to make a big stink. The bread was excellent but with all the restaurant competition it should have been free.I felt the menu was limited and didn't really do anything for me. Being my husband and I don't eat red meat and the other items had very distinct sweet kind of sauces we decided on just getting the chicken basically chicken melanese tasted like fried chicken and tons of butter. The spaghetti was okay. For a place that's set on it's own and is trying it's hardest to be a 5 star they should have more variety and watch their charges on items.

My husband and I stopped in for brunch a few weeks ago, and we’re still talking about it! Everything from the food to the service to the views was just outstanding. The waterfront setting is beautiful — such a relaxing and scenic backdrop — and the staff made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. The food was fresh, flavorful, and plated beautifully. You can really taste the quality and attention to detail in every bite. We can’t wait to come back and experience dinner next time because if brunch was this good, I can only imagine how amazing the evening vibe must be!

I'm visiting my friend in Virginia and decided to explore options for a delightful Sunday brunch. Since I have a penchant for dining with a water view, I settled on a charming restaurant that promised just that. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by a young gentleman named Allen or Alan, who guided me to my table with a friendly demeanor that instantly made me feel welcome. My server, Gino, was equally engaging and attentive. His warm personality added to the enjoyable atmosphere, and I appreciated the care he took in ensuring my dining experience was memorable. For my meal, I chose the Salmon and Grits. It arrived beautifully plated—rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. To complement my brunch, I indulged in a delightful Mimosa Flight, which provided a refreshing touch with each sip. For dessert, I couldn't resist the Pistachio Cake, an exquisite treat that was as visually stunning as it was delicious, paired perfectly with a frothy Cappuccino. As I made my way to leave, I noticed three staff members at the check-in counter and they all saw me leaving. Unfortunately, they appeared more focused on their tasks than on acknowledging my presence. A simple "How was your meal?" or "Thank you for dining with us" would have been a nice touch, especially in a hospitality-focused environment. Despite the lack of farewell, I was left with fond memories, largely thanks to the stunning view of the Potomac River that accompanied my meal, creating a perfect backdrop for a lovely brunch experience.

We experienced an amazing dinner and evening. e Robert T, our server was amazing. He’s so well versed about each item on the menu, along with being very professional and friendly. The food was indescribably delicious.

I can’t believe this hidden gem has been around for eight years in the Old Town Alexandria area. I only just found out about it! It might have had a different name before, but regardless, it’s definitely worth checking out. The views are incredible, stretching from the Wilson Bridge all the way to the Washington Monument. We went for brunch and were not disappointed. The Crab and Beef Benedict was outstanding, and the French toast was delicious. The service was excellent. A big thank you to Nev, our kind and attentive waitress, who also took some great photos for us. This spot is perfect for any group size, whether you’re out with family, friends, or just a small crowd.

Yelp
Beautiful waterfront views, friendly and welcoming staff, and delicious food. Jula's is a bit of a hidden gem about 1 mile from the Braddock Metro and with plentiful parking garages. They are on the 4th floor which gives you an elevated view and also have an outdoor patio. Great for corporate events!

Yelp
I visited Jula's on the Potomac for a meet-and-greet with members of an employee resource group from my new job. Since its a global organization, i was excited to learn that some members were local but i hadn't met them due to working from home or other local branches. Meeting up gave us a change to connect and more more about each other and other departments while sharing a meal. While it had been a long time since I'd been in Old Town Alexandria, and I had never been to Jula's I am glad that someone chose this spot. First, parking was surprisingly easy which was a huge relief for someone like me who isn't the best at parallel parking. The restaurant has clear signage outside, making it easy to find the correct building. Once inside, additional signs guide you to the elevator and the right floor, something I really appreciated. Walking in i was immediately impressed. The photos online truly don't do this place justice. The entry was elegant and your greeted by a line of sharply dressed hostesses. While our full group of eight hadnt arrived yet, they still seated me so i could wait comfortably. For a late Saturday morning, the restaurant was packed with everything from bridal brunches to couples and larger groups but never felt chaotic. We were given a table by the window, which offered great views of the water. Even though there are bar-height tales outside that partially block the view, you can still easily see between them to watch boats and people enjoying the waterfront. The only small hiccup was being told we had one menu when it was actually another once the waiter arrived so we had to swap and remake our selections. But honestly, once the meal started that was easy to forget. The cocktails were incredibly refreshing, creative, and beautifully presented. Our server was attentive, friendly, and on top of every detail. We never had to ask for refills on anything. When the food arrived, everyone at the table had nothing but compliments. We all shared portions with each other, and every dish was just as impressive as the next. I personally had the crab cake sandwich with fries and I was blown away. The portion was generous, the flavor was rich and fresh, and it filled me up the best way. It was one of those meals that leaves you thinking about it long after you leave. Overall, Jula's on the Potomac, exceeded every expectation from atmosphere to service to food. I will definitely be returning to try more

Yelp
Beautiful! We arrived early for my late birthday dinner. The hostess's were sweet and had us seated in minutes. We sat with a nice view of the water over the patio. Our waiter Kai was very professional. He offered great recommendations. I had my eye on two of the mocktails. However, I don't like mint in my drinks. I asked if it could be made without it. However, the bartender made me drink similar to the tropical drink I wanted. It was so good! I think I had 3 of them over the course of my dinner. The Santa margarita was divine my friend said! Then, I ordered a lobster bisque which was one of the specials, and grilled octopus. My friend had the wedge salad which was perfect. We equally enjoyed the octopus! I don't care for the lobster bisque. I'm not even sure why it was called that since there was no lobster in it. I kept swiping the bottom of the bowl and it was no where to be found. For entrees, my friend ordered the sticky short ribs that comes with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I had a Cajun seafood pasta. I added crab instead of sausage. It was delicious but too rich for me. I would suggest extra shrimp instead of crab or both. Now, the best part is that we ordered two sets of the house rolls. Listen, the best thing we had! Soft with the perfect amount of salt flakes. Delicious!

Yelp
Great view, great food and service! I'm here for a late Sunday brunch. There's plenty available garage parking under the building. The menu has several tempting options. I selected the salmon and grits. The ingredients are cajun salmon, white cheddar grits, fresno cream sauce, and microgreens. It was delicious. I also ordered the lavender martini made from belvedere vodka, cointreau, lavender syrup, lemon, and butterfly pea flower. I enjoyed it all. Looking forward to dining here during the summer months.

Yelp
The service at Jula's was great. My friends and I went for happy hour and our bartender Jeremy was friendly and personable. My espresso martini was especially creamy (as requested) and I enjoyed my other drinks as well. I started off with crab bisque, which was tasty and creamy. I could have done without the caviar on top (personal preference). I also ordered the Garden Truffle flatbread without the mushrooms, which was also tasty and only cost $10 during happy hour! I am pescatarian so my only complaint is that the hh menu is very limited on food to fit dietary restrictions. I was still a little hungry because portions are also small, so I opted to order truffle fries. The fries were perfect crisp. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
One of my goals on this trip to the DMV was to enjoy a Lucious lobster roll and I sure did at Jula's! The restaurant is beautiful. It felt so nice to dine on a clear day when there was so much sun lighting coming thru the glass windows. We were seated near the bar so we didn't get to enjoy your waterfront views, but if you can make a reservation and request a seat in the main dining room, I'm sure the views are great! I had the lobster roll and it was incredible. Lobster was fresh, abundant and so buttery. The portion was perfect for brunch. My cousin had the lobster omelet and she enjoyed it for the most part - there's a bit too much cheese for her liking but plenty of lobster. The prices are a bit steep here but you're also paying for the location. :/ If I lived in the state, I would probably only dine in on my special occasions.

Yelp
Jula's on the Potomac is definitely a must try. Made a reservation a few days before and went here on a Friday evening. Having delicious dinner while watching the gorgeous sunset al fresco was perfect. Ambience was casual. There is a slight difference in the bar/terrace menu from the inside seating menu. The bar/terrace menu does not have pork chops, ribeyes because we were told they could not bring out heavy portions outside with knives. Amethyst nojito was refreshing but I wouldn't say I am the biggest fan. The food was amazing. The crab dip and lamb lollipops were good starters. The sweet & sticky short ribs were so tender and flavorful. Honey fennel roasted duck was savory and flavorful. Hearty meals. Delicious. Tiramisu was alright. Our server Annie was sweet and tried her best to keep up but it was a busy night. As the night slowed down, she was able to give more attention to us. It got too cold for us dining outside as the chilly breeze blew; our request to move inside was accommodated. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
We attended the New Year's celebration at the restaurant and the ambience was nice. The view was obviously very pretty but let's talk about the food. I must say I was actually unimpressed my partner and I both ordered different things. I'll just say that the lobster risotto there wasn't any flavor And the asparagus were too crunchy and overtook the dish. The lobster bisque was also very tasteless and they had a gimmick where you squeeze a bottle of Sherry into it, but that didn't improve the flavor and then I had the beef Wellington. It was a little rough and not the kind of beef Wellington I'm used to it actually look like a giant Beer pocket and then we had dessert and it was chocolate mousse and it was OK normally I finish everything on my plate and I must say I left a little bit of each on every course so I'd have to give this a 2 1/2 two or three for the Food. Then the photo machine didn't work so we all got pictures. Nobody got any of them because it was defected anyway I'll reconsider where to go next time. What a shame great opportunity to make this incredible and it just wasn't really good value, but not a bad place to go just not a place I would go again. The service was fantastic very attentive and they were really nice people so we tipped well.

Yelp
Great experience at Jula's! I read a positive review on Threads and decided to make a reservation for brunch over the weekend. It's in the heart of Alexandria right next to the Potomac River! Great views if you come a good weather day. Our server was prompt, our food came quickly, and everything tasted amazing! I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the biscuits, but those were a great starter. All the food was flavorful! Would love to come back to try a different item on the menu. A lot of peoples food around us looked tasty!

Yelp
Unimpressed. They recently had a new look and updated interior. But the food and service just not good enough to make this place special. 1. Reservation: necessary 2. The view: is probably their best asset, however, the view is of the water treatment facility isn't too helpful. 3. Food: 3 stars at best I would just say, meh. 4. Drinks: 3 stars Again, nothing special. 5. Service: pushy, slow and awkward. I really did not like it here. 6. parking and everything isn't too convenient either.

Yelp
IMPECCABLE service, food, and ambiance! This was my first time coming with a group of friends and I have zero regrets. The decor is extremely aesthetic from the grass wall on the outside to the inside flower arrangements, you definitely get an upscale vibe. We decided to sit at the bar and our server, Jeremy, was extremely personable and very prompt. He also read the room well and made sure he came around during times where our conversations died down instead of interrupting our group which we greatly appreciated. Bre, who was also at the bar, was amazing! Her recommendations from drinks to food were SPOT ON. I even left with a dessert and to-go dish based on her recommendations, if she was selling a car I'd buy it lol. For food, I ordered the Wagyu Piggies in a Biscuit which were so delicious. I have a mustard allergy so I asked for that to be excluded and they were still super yummy! The crab dip was not the best I've had as the consistency was watery/soupy, but it was flavorful. I ordered the Creole Shrimp Pasta to go and it was PHENOMENAL! I ordered three of their cocktails-- (starts with an H) Lemonade, Tropical Mojito, and the Gran Paraniso. Each drink was great, and goes from the least strong to the most strong liquor-wise. My favorite of the three was the Lemonade, it's one of those as you drink it sneaks up on you type of drinks which I enjoy. I took the peach cheesecake to go and it was DELICIOUS! All desserts are made in-house and some change seasonally so I can't wait to come back to try other treats. My bill was around $115 which is such a great price for everything I ordered. I ordered off of their happy hour menu for the 3 drinks and the 2 food dishes. The creole shrimp pasta entree and cheesecake were from their dinner menu (which gives you an idea of how long we decided to stay there). Would I return? Most definitely!

Yelp
I've been to Jula's a few times for various reasons, like Happy Hour with colleagues, my husband took me for my birthday last year, and most recently - I took my close friend to celebrate her birthday. Each and every time I've been the food, service and ambience have consistently been top tier. With the layout of the restaurant, you can literally have the experience that you are hoping for - because they have a great variety of seating options! From a secluded and intimate booth option, to a table at the bar facing the terrace, or a seat next to the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water! You can really add to the amazing food with the beautiful vibes. From my most recent visit, I had the Crab Bisque to start and the Creole Shrimp Linguine for my main. Both of which were 10/10 delicious. Looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
Ambiance is beautiful, our server Vet was great. Food was very hot and we tried a few things. Thoroughly enjoyed the mimosa flight as well. Notable recommendations the Bread Pudding French Toast and the Shrimp/Samon w/ Grits. Wouldn't get the charbroiled oysters again.

Yelp
Waterfront dining Julia's on the Potomac restaurant is located near Old Town Alexandria Virginia waterfront. Sorry it's winter, but the views are spectacular.(film in the summer) It was Restaurant Week and we wanted to indulge. Everything was there, but the food taste. Menu items Caldo Verde or Portuguese chicken soup Cherry Panzanella salad 2 Cherry Bloosom Shoyu glazed Halibut Crispy Duck Rolls Parker House rolls Cherry Ricotta Cheesecake Chocolate Tart Service 7.5 out of 10 ( nice waiter but very young. Please get him some slack) Ambiance 8.7 out of 10 Food taste 4.2 out of 10 (everything was flavorless or bland) (the rolls were good but we did not know until the end because the butter was so repellent) Price 5 out 10 ( you cannot demand $200 dinners until the taste and quality is there) Support by gift in reels

Yelp
Great food and excellent service! I dined at Jula's for brunch and had a great experience. The French toast is do decadent! The sunrise breakfast was delicious as well. Couldn't really enjoy the view from my seat, but it seems as though people enjoy it. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
The apps were delicious, wafer view with tables both inside and outside. Food was great as well! Highly recommend the lava cake and vanilla gelato! It was the best I've ever had! Definite must have!

Yelp
Brunch is worth the experience! Think breathtaking views, great service, amazing drinks, and scrumptious food. Service: Thanks, Will! Your service was great and your recommendations were the best. Beverage: the peach Bellini was to die for! And it added just the right touch as you stare out at the water. Food: For starters we had the biscuits and they were buttery soft and addictive! SO delicious. Next, I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and while it wasn't my favorite, members of my party enjoyed it. However, it wasn't my pick because the oysters simply had too much liquid in it so I didn't enjoy them as much. My main dish was the shrimp and grits and believe me when I say that this was one of the BEST shrimp and grits dishes I've had in a while. They were really generous with the shrimp and I had enough leftovers for the next day. The grits were creamy and the flavor lingered on your tongue. But the shrimp was perfectly grilled and seasoned! OMG I was in heaven. I was celebrating my birthday so the team surprised me with a birthday dessert on the house and that tiramisu hit the spot! Perfect way to celebrate my birthday-I cannot wait to return! Good for groups, great for a date, or just simple fun with friends. Add this place to your must try.

Yelp
Jula's was in her bookmarks so Jula's it is. I've been once before and I don't know why I didn't drop a review given how dope this place is. Located in "North Old Town" on the top floor of an office building that sits on the Potomac River, this converted café is now a super nice restaurant that could easily be transformed to upscale by simply adding white linen table clothes!! Yep, as easy as that..LOL! The water views cannot be beat, and they have ample outdoor seating for the warmer days. The brunch menu is awesome. She went for the chicken and waffles and I chose the loaded lobster omelet. I'm not a huge omelet fan but this one was OUTSTANDING. Her waffles were hot and fluffy and although the chicken was cooked perfect, it needed a little salt. That's the hard thing about chicken breast. They may want to offer wings to give the buyers a choice. Just a thought! The deviled eggs were good not great, I'd get them again, her..nah..lol! Our server was engaging and responsive. The dinner menu looks pretty dam* good also, so good, we may have to come back this weekend to check it out! Jula's is a place that sits all alone, so if you don't know, you don't know... Now you know!!

Yelp
Now, this is a story all about how my life got flipped, and turned upside down. I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there. I'll tell you how I became a fan of this place right here. (Yeah, yeah I put a spin on it.) First, I've wanted to try this forever, since it opened in June of 2023, I'm kicking myself right now knowing I've been missing out. Ambiance: SEXY, SEXY, SEXY - minimalist vibes but sleek. Can't wait to dress up and come back for dinner! Views are everything! Stunning! I love water even our lil ole dirty Potomac. Service: Mike was awesome, front desk crew nice and attentive. Let's Get Into It! Brunch, here we go! Appetizer: Deviled Eggs - Met expectations, pretty good! Main Entree's: Chicken and Waffle - Exceeded expectations, after two bites I was full but somehow I ate most of my meal. Shrugs. Lobster Omelette: Delicious, exceeded expectations! Peach Bellini- Great! Coffee - PERFECT! Do you need to come try this place out? YES! Such a VIBE!

Yelp
Went for brunch with friends. Reserved a table on the deck. Views were great. Service was excellent. Our server made our mimosas table-side. There are super cute backdrops for photos. Great experience but make sure you make a reservation ahead of time because it does fill up quickly! There are a handful (maybe 3-5?) free on-site parking spots you can use if you have an early brunch reservation.

Yelp
Food presentation is on point! Missing flavor in many dishes. We went during brunch time they were quite busy but service was still pretty good... our waiter was friendly and made corrections once it was brought to his attention. The location is gorgeous, I can only imagine it at night with the patio lighting on the water. Would definitely return!!!

Yelp
Quintin "Q" Smith was an exceptional server! Not only did he inquire of the kitchen twice about slight modifications that I sought to make due to dietary restrictions, but he did so with great recommendations...and with a smile. He is professional, friendly, and exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu and the various ingredients. When I return, I will most definitely request to sit in his section because of his attention to detail, which is top-notch. In truth, Q set the example for others to follow and he is a true credit to this restaurant. I started with the biscuit, which was rich, thick, and so delicious with their fresh butter and preserves. My main meal was the steak omelette, which was fluffy and hearty. Accompanying the omelette was a light Caesar salad, which was a perfect size. Additionally, this place sits along the Potomac river, which is such a beautiful site at any time of day. Overall, this was a five star experience and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
There's somes street parking nearby. We had a reservation and they did take a couple minutes to seat us. We ordered the Tiramisu Espresso Martini which really good. It came with a lady finger that you could dip in it. We then ordered the Bottle Mimosa to share. For our food, we ordered the Burrata, Deviled Eggs and Housemade Biscuits. Loved the burrata and the Deviled Eggs. I'm not usually one to order biscuits but the jam and butter that came with it was delicious and tasted good with the burrata as well. For our mains, I ordered the Brunch Burger and my husband ordered the Lobster Omelete. Recommend both. We loved everything we had. Service was great until the end where we had trouble finding our server for for more water and the check. Overall a good time, outside looked like nice to sit when it's nice outside. Would likely come back to try other drinks and food.

Yelp
Went to Jula's on the Potomac today. The restaurant itself is really nice, but since we went a bit late for lunch, most of the main entrées were already gone ,so we ended up trying a mix of starters. We had lamb lollipops, smoked Rappahannock oysters, wood-grilled octopus, Creole shrimp linguini, duck confit cavatelli, and of course some fries. Everything was fresh and flavorful. But honestly, the best part was the view Sitting on the 4th floor overlooking the Potomac River just made the whole experience so much more special. Good food with a beautiful view ,can't really ask for more!

Yelp
My wife and I went here for the first time for brunch for her birthday and to say this place was great on every level is an understatement. To start off, we were sat by the window which had a great view of the water. Our waiter was excellent! He was very attentive, gave us a run through of the menu with it being our first time there, and constantly checked on us to make sure everything was to our liking. The food was absolutely amazing. From the appetizers to the entrees, everything was excellent. For appetizers we had the Tableside Crab Bisque, Housemade Biscuits, and the Deviled Egg Trio. You cannot go wrong with any of the 3 as they were all excellent! It would have been better if the Deviled Eggs came with 4 instead of 3 as it's hard to split 3 Deviled Eggs. The HouseMade Biscuits with the honey butter was absolutely delicious! The Tableside Crab Bisque was some of the best Crab Bisque I have ever had! For entrees, my wife and I both had the Lobster Benedict. I am not usually a huge fan of Egg Benedicts, but this was easily the best Egg Benedict I have ever had! There was so much lobster on this entree, 4 oz to be exact. The lobster was nice and buttery and it tasted excellent with the poached eggs. This was so delicious I was talking about it all day. The Lobster Benedict also came with breakfast potatoes which were also good. This entree was quite pricey at $46, but it was absolutely worth it! This restaurant was absolutely excellent. It can be a bit pricey, but for the amazing food, great service, and great views it is more than worth the price! We will definitely be back!

I've been wanting to try this place for some time now! I love how they have many different seating options and a great view. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. I got the tropical mojito and it was dangerously delicious. I could have had several. The Parkerhouse rolls were soft and fluffy and I liked the butter that was paired with it. The truffle flat bread had the perfect balance of truffle and onion flavor. I definitely want to come back for happy hour or a sunset dinner!

Yelp
A friend and I enjoyed a nice Saturday Brunch here recently. Upon arriving we noticed the location to be a bit odd and unexpected. The restaurant is located on the top floor of what appeared to be a business building of sorts. I believe the entire surrounding plaza was office buildings. However, when you reach the top floor and enter through the doors of the restaurant you feel almost transformed and quickly forget that. The panoramic views of the Potomac River are amazing! The space felt very cozy and elegant and was nicely decorated. We had a reservation at one of the high top tables in the bar area next to the window. Our server was also a bartender I believe and provided outstanding service. Our drinks and food were super tasty too. I had a peach bellini along with the garden truffle flatbread and my friend had the shakshuka. Our drinks and meals were flavorful and cooked to perfection. My friend and I both agreed we would be back to dine on the patio in the spring/summer time when the weather is warmer and nicer!

Yelp
We checked out Sunday brunch and everything was amazing from start to finish! Our server was Jeremy and the staff were great. Drinks: Empress 75 Lavender Martini Food items reviewed: Oysters Chicken & Waffles French Toast Bread Pudding The rooftop has an amazing view! Parking is underneath the building and reasonable prices. I can't wait to host an event there.

Yelp
Met friends for brunch here. The inside is modern and bright. They have a nice bar, outdoor patio overlooking the Potomac and oysters on display. All the staff we interacted with were friendly. Our waiter was a lot of fun and playful. We really enjoyed him. The food was good. I got the chicken and waffles. I could have done without the dulce de leche sauce and just used syrup but the chicken was wel cooked and crispy crunchy crust. I do wish it came with a small side of fruit. I also got a Bloody Mary which was well spiced and yummy. My spouse got the Chesapeake Benedict and a cocktail flight. She noted she only liked the mimosa out of the flight that the other too weren't good or were too sweet. All in all we would come back here again!

Yelp
Haven't been here since it was cafe 44 but I def love the upgrade as Jula's is more spacious. It was a gloomy day when I visited but the views of the water were still pleasant. The mimosa flight was crisp and more champagne than juice like I like. For my brunch entree, I opted for the Cajun salmon and grits which was very delicious. My friend had the bread pudding French toast with a side of breakfast potatoes and bacon. The bread pudding was very moist and tasty but she did find a hair in it. Our waiter graciously took it to the back and the manager came out with a fresh one with a new side of bacon. Outside of the hiccup, I would return to the restaurant in the future to try the social hour and dinner as they have a pretty extensive menu.

Yelp
Located in an unexpected business building on the fourth floor but nicely decorated and views all around. The outside has big heaters so excellent spot for a drink! Typical American food. We went for brunch. The avocado toast, Chesapeake Benedict, grits and eggs was good but overall average. It has reliable solid options, something for everyone. Service was warm welcoming and attentive.

Yelp
Great view, nice service. Prices don't connect to quality of food. $26 waffles? $10 for 2 over cooked biscuits? And they were offered to us as most places offer a bread basket, so imagine my surprise when the bill came. I don't mind paying for biscuits but presented as free. If I went back, only for the view.

Yelp
We've been here twice for weekend brunch. The chicken&waffles, short rib benedict, and bread pudding French toast are delicious. Biscuits are really good too, wish they'd add biscuits & gravy to the menu! Service is really great here, very professional. The view of the river is gorgeous. Looking forward to coming back for dinner

Yelp
This place was recommended by a local, both for the food and the location on the water, so we decided to give it a try. It's a little odd that it's in an office building, but you quickly forget that once you enter the space. We were taken back to our table on the patio by a friendly young man who shared the history of the restaurant. He was just the first of the incredibly friendly staff members we encountered at Jula's, including our server, Jeremy (but more on him later). We sat on the patio which has beautiful views of the river and DC, in the distance. The menu has a lot of amazing choices, but my daughter loves deviled eggs, so we started there - a great choice! I went for the Crab Benedict as my entree and loved it. The others in the group had the chicken & waffles, Chesapeake and Croque Madame and everyone truly enjoyed their meals. The experience was topped off by the outstanding service from Jeremy. I think I can honestly say that he was one of the most enjoyable servers I have ever had. He was super friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu and a had great sense of humor. Toward the end of the meal, we were asking him for recommendations of things to see and do in Alexandria since we had never been there before. He gave us a bunch of ideas, and then came back a few minutes later with a handwritten list of suggestions! Simply amazing service...and just a good dude!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place based on the overall ambiance and menu options, but I was extremely disappointed. I visited a little before noon on a Saturday to enjoy a solo brunch for restaurant week. I sat at the bar was provided a regular menu. I asked the bartender for the restaurant week menu and was made aware that they were out of two of the four restaurant week entree items, including the one item that I came for specifically. I found this odd when the restaurant could have acquired the items over the course of the week to prepare for the first brunch of the weekend. I was very disappointed, as the croque madame is not on their regular menu. I decided to stick around as this was my first visit to the establishment. I started off with the brunch cocktail flight. The bartender just placed it down, without any explanation of which drink was which. The bartender I first engaged with gave off a negative aura. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The rest of my visit was hosted by another bartender (Jeremy?). He was the only highlight of my visit. The chicken and waffles were underwhelming to say the least. I feel like I could have gotten a better version out of the freezer aisle at the grocery store. Even slathered with butter and syrup, the chicken and waffles were bland. I finished my meal with a pumpkin chai-tini, which was good. Overall, I would not return.

Yelp
Great brunch !!! Brought wife for Birthday and sat outside on balcony. Perfect day with a tremendous view. Started off with a Biscuit with small sample of Sausage gravy & Raspberry Jam. both amazing. The biscuit was some of the best I've had. Shrimp & Grits & Eggs Benedict were both delicious. Our server was excellent and took great care of us. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Jula's is about the view with fine dining. Outside terrace or indoor windows let you watch crew shells, sail boats, and occasional other ship passing by on the Potomac. Food is good with extensive bar. However, bang for buck, I was not impressed. Showed up for our early reservation and waited 10 minutes as they wiped down our terrace table, then sat us. There are at least 4 different menus, inside and outside have different menus and you cannot order from the other. Plus restaurant week and fresh seafood/dessert menu. We ordered from outside menu which is smaller tapas-style plates. Tried to order a dessert from the outside menu but was told carrot cake was discontinued and were limited to dessert menu. If you're going to play such games, get it right. Don't bait and switch. Lastly, if food was great, we'd overlook all that. It was meh. Still fine dining and nothing was bad, but nothing impressed. One of the mocktails was excellent. My wife had to salt multiple items, although Parker rolls were coated in salt. We may give it a try for brunch sometime given the views.

Yelp
Ambience was great with a great view. Service is excellent. The omelette was bland and steak was not worth writing home about.

Yelp
The manager, Kayla gave me a tour of the restaurant since I hadn't be there since before it had a different name. The place was extremely well renovated and the staff service couldn't have been improved. I had a great time hanging out with my mom and sister and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Girl's day out with brunch at Jula's was perfect. Although we were late for our reservation they accommodated us quickly. The front staff even took our pictures in front of their grass wall. Our food arrived promptly and without any issues. We enjoyed the chicken & waffle, steak frites, & customized omelet with a caesar salad. It tasted great as well. We sat outside and the atmosphere gorgeous while overlooking the river and watching the airplanes. We agreed to return here again and try dinner or happy hour.

Yelp
I've been to Jula's once before when it was called Cafe 44. They have done a lot to make this place way nicer! The tables, chairs and decore are really upscale now. The restaurant itself is a really nice spot on the Potomac - with views over looking the river. We were seated right away on a Sunday with a reservation. The menu items all looked so good- it was hard to choose! It would have been nice if our waiter came to the table in a timely manner... we waited at least 15 mins before we were asked about our drink orders. I got the avocado toast which was very tasty. Only issue I had was my poached egg was undercooked. I can't stand runny whites - gross. I noticed my friend's Shakshuka eggs were undercooked too. I got a side of grits and they were ok. They could have used more salt and cheese. My friends both had the bruleed grapefruit and they enjoyed them. I think with a few tweaks this place could be really great!

Yelp
Food is always top quality. Especially brunch, when we usually go. Service is friendly upon arrival at the host stand. We like sitting at the bar and those guys are super cool.

Yelp
Scenic restaurant hidden on the top floor of an office building that overlooks the Potomac Slightly upscale, and prices are high The space, food menu, and drink menu are all huge. The space has a ton of seating in both the bar and dining area. The menu is primarily seafood oriented, but there are plenty of other options as well I came here with my GF and we each got a cocktail, a bread basket appetizer, and an entree (shrimp & grits for me and chicken Milanese for her). All of our food was very tasty, and our drinks were solid as well Everyone that we interacted with was very friendly and hospitable They do give you a card at the end of your visit to rate the place on google, which explains the absurdly high rating there

Yelp
Jula's is a lovely little brunch place with gorgeous views of the Potomac. It's gorgeously decorated with options to eat both inside and outside with views of the river. We came here for my friend's birthday brunch and were served by the amazing Mike - who promptly addressed each of our requests and anticipated most of our needs! he was very professional, patient, and friendly. Absolutely five star service! That said, I was a little disappointed in the food for the price. It was beautifully presented, and delivered hot and ready to eat but the flavors fell short. Maybe it's because my girl friend has eaten here four or five times and she talked it up so much that my expectations were too high. It could also be that the vegetarian options were not as flavorful as the meat options. Regardless, I'd recommend this restaurant for brunch any day of the week! We had a ball. Mike was wonderful. - And the mimosas were deliciously dangerous

Yelp
We met for a birthday brunch. The restaurant and view were both clear and beautiful. Our friends arrived before we did, so we arrived in time to order brunch and mimosas. The restaurant menu was plentiful and varied. The service was cheerful and quick. We greatly enjoyed our time here.

Yelp
The food here is tasty. I've visited a few times over the years. I've had the shrimp and grits, salmon and grits, garden truffle flatbread, creole shrimp linguine, pear and cheese fiocchi, and the pow pow shrimp appetizer. I enjoyed them all. The cocktails are also good. The service is friendly and consistent, and the ambiance is really nice. I would definitely recommend and return. Cute for a date night or ladies night.
