Julian Farm and Orchard

We had a wonderful time here. I went with my daughters and three grandchildren. One of my daughters brought her beloved pup. This place had lots of things to do from toddler age to ten. And it was also very friendly for the pup with multiple water stations throughout the facility. There were small play areas for toddlers throughout the facility. And everyone that I talked to was so kind and knowledgeable. Entering the facility gave you access to the petting zoo and if you wanted to, you could purchase food to give to the animals. But you could also walk in and just watch them and interact with those who were as curious about you. There was a big round rock climbing wall, and swings and an area with tricycles surrounded by hat bales for the little ones to play on. The Apple cannon was great. Axe throwing for young and “mature”. Bean bag toss And the hay ride was long enough to be magical. We will definitely go back.

Excellent staff and crew inside and out of the farm. The layout was well thought out which helped keep crowding down. All the activities were fun like the apple cannons and axe throwing. All run by people who absolutely loved their job. My first pumpkin patch and I can see myself returning as well.

We stopped at Julian Farm and Orchard at the last minute, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There is an entry fee based on what activities you want to participate in. The farm is large and there are multiple activities for visitors. There were lots of people there, but it did not feel crowded at all. Some of the activities are free, while others require an additional charge. They have lots of photo spots throughout the farm. I am sure we will visit this farm again.

The Julian Apple Orchard is absolutely worth the drive! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed each creative aspect of the farm, from the fresh apple slushies and shooting apples from the apple cannon to picking our own pumpkins! The “sisters” will greet you upon arrival at the entrance booth, where you can also enjoy a friendly smile and purchase your tickets. The entire orchard was full of other activities, a map that helps guide you to different activities, and even offers hay rides around their farm! You’ll feel like a kid again as you take a hay ride, share some apple cider, and rove through fields of fresh flowers and pumpkins! When you leave, the sisters will help you check out with your pumpkins and if you ask them to sing their special “Sisters” song, you’ll be blown away by their beautiful voices! 12/10 recommend to kids and adults who want to experience the fall feeling in California!

had so much fun here! we weren't able to get a spot for the apple tour, but even with just the general pass, we had a great experience. we were here to take pictures and there were many photo ops walking around, like with the pumpkins, corn maze, small flower fields, weird scarecrows, and of course, the apple trees! the staff kindly let us take pictures near the apple trees and let us use fallen apples on the ground as props haha 😆 the parking was easy, the staff led us to the back where there was extra parking and another entrance nearby. i also loved their apple cider slushy which we got at their bev booth after a couple hours under the sun. i recommend coming here for the perfect fall picture, and will definitely come again for the u-pick!

We brought our youth group and had an awesome time! We loved the variety of things to do and the staff is super friendly. Met Kyle and Gabo at the Apple cannons and they were the best. Very welcoming and very family friendly atmosphere.

Camping nearby and ventured into town and had this on my list of places to check out. I was so sad to learn that the blackberries bushes were all picked for the year, with the possibility of a couple vines but not yet ready. Flowers were in bloom and they did offer raspberries, but also said that was slim as well. Sure enjoy, with 3 people and 6 eyes, we were able to fill up. You pre-pay and then they give you your container. Walk around and you can come here to pick different fruits during different seasons. Guess what, they have a petting zoo inside as well! How cool! If there is food available and they haven't been fed too much, you can grab a scoop and feed away! Staff was friendly and very helpful in navigating, especially when you forget where you are supposed to walk to in order to pick your fruit. I would say it is about farmer's market pricing, definitely not on the cheaper scale but you are paying for quality here. Can't wait to come back! We came here in August 2025, and then my Husband brought his mother and siblings here in October 2025. They loved it as well. Plenty of parking, although dirt parking, easy to get in and out. Highly recommend if coming to Julian. This is a landmark/staple of Julian to visit.

We visited the Julian farm and orchard for the first time in November and we had a great time! We arrived at around 10:30 am , we had heard that it gets pretty crazy with parking but the staff was very organized and guided us to our parking . Pricing is great and affordable we did the Barnyard experience ! I didn't know they did online reservations which is something we will do in the future as the line to purchase tickets was a little long . The animals are very cute , but some of them are a little more aggressive for food so watch out ! Overall we loved the experience we had! So many places to walk and take pictures! I knew it was busy due to the parking but it didn't feel as overcrowded since the space is so large ! Highly recommend everyone to bring their families !

Very over-hyped. First off, they are not technically in Julian, but a small town before Julian. Second, took forever to get in as there were only 2 people working the entrance booths with over 25 people in line. The options were plenty, but every single one was subpar. We did the "U-pick" raspberries, but it was a real scam. Barely any raspberries. Spent 35min and didnt even fill half the container with decent looking ones. They really shouldnt be selling them

Apple picking tours sold out in 20min once they released openings!! Sooo that was a bummer. However, there's a lot of activities to do at the farm (berry picking, flower & pumpkin fields, apple cannon, hay rides, petting zoo). We really enjoyed the apple press demonstration! Everyone working here is always smiling and look like they enjoy being there. The parking situation is also stress free and organized. There's plenty of overflow parking and staff is directing traffic. We wanted to buy apples in the shop to take home, but nothing there! You'll only get apples on the farm if you were lucky to get a tour. Maybe we'll try to snatch apple tours again next year but this place is great to take family, friends & little ones. They even allowed dogs so many furry friends were wandering around.

Visited this pumpkin patch during peak fall season, two Saturdays before Halloween. The general admission ($10) isn't worth it unless you have small kids for the activities and games, imo. Most disappointingly, the apple cider slushie they sell for $8 a pop turns out to be made from jugs of Tree Top Cider based on the bags and bags of trash outside the beverage barn. This was disappointing considering we are visiting an orchard and $8 is not cheap for a small plastic cup. This is extra ironic because we watched the cider press demonstration and they had a whole segment about why true apple cider is expensive ($27-28 for a gallon) while a jug at the grocery store is $3-4. They threw shade at big brand apple juice, meanwhile charging us steep prices for this same big brand apple cider in slushie form... The rest of the farm was okay but kinda small. The general admission activities were kinda meh and the pumpkin area doesn't really feel like a patch and more like a farmers market. Probably skip for fall season unless you have small kids to take advantage of the activities and petting zoo!

I love coming here every fall. It's such a unique pumpkin patch and almost feels like being on the East Coast, even though you're in California. The only downside is how crowded it gets in October, which is why this year I made sure to arrive right when they opened. Huge difference. I've been here during peak crowds and during quieter times, and I definitely recommend visiting in early September and as soon as they open to avoid the chaos. Crowds aside, this place is always a favorite of mine and I think they do a great job.

I'm in absolute awe of the setup. It's a one stop shop for an entire day of pictures and experiences. It gets busy in the fall, so try to get there before 11. Bite was astounded by the production level of this. It's as if Disneyland was fused with an orchard.

What a fun place to visit! It's been on our list for several years and we finally got the opportunity to go. While we didn't do any apple picking (they were out) or berry picking, we spent a few hours enjoying the other activities and the farm in general. We bought tickets ahead of time and arrived around 9:45am on a Saturday. There weren't too many people there at that time, and the crowds didn't start really picking up until lunch time. Plus, the place is huge, so it never felt too crowded (except for the apple slushie line and the other drink line!). Checking in was a breeze, and everyone here is so friendly. There are so many places to hang out here. Multiple playground areas and activities for kids, and a few are shaded. There's axe throwing, a rock climbing wall, U-Pick, hay rides, tricycles, pumpkin patch, lawn games, AN APPLE CANNON (shoutout to Gopa for being awesome), farm animal feeding area, apple cider pressing demo, food, drinks, shops...so much! I'd say for adults, general admission is good. Kids probably benefit from the unlimited wristband if they're going to take advantage of the activities. It's a great place to visit and relax!

We were camping in Julian so we decided to swing by Julian's fall jubilee during apple season. Sadly, no apples were available to pick when we visited. It was quite a spectacle and a wee bit pricey to enter Julian Farm and Orchard for their fall festival. We opted to go with the one where we could feed the farm animals and ride the hay ride. My 17 mo daughter enjoyed the hay ride while I enjoyed feeding the goats and sheep. I will say the music they were playing over the bicycle area was extremely loud and you couldn't be anywhere near it without blowing out your eardrums. Overall, we had a fine time. This is probably better suited for kids who are a little bit older than our little one.

Julian Farm and Orchard - A Must-Visit! If you're looking for a fun, relaxing, and scenic getaway, Julian Farm and Orchard is the place to be! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful scenery and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every employee we interacted with was pleasant, helpful, and genuinely kind. Even when it was so busy. They all had smiles on their faces. Helped snap pictures for the families. It's clear they love what they do, and it shows in how they treat their guests. Debra was so kind, she was very patient with the big crowds and made sure everyone had waivers for the Ax throwing and Rock-Climbing activities. John, Matthew, Toby and Joseph at the Ax throwing and Rock Climbing area, went above and beyond to make sure everyone's visit was special, fun and safe. We had a blast! Whether you're into outdoor activities, enjoying nature, or just looking for a peaceful day out, Julian Farm and Orchard has something for everyone. We'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! We visited on Labor Day and had the orchard all to ourselves. The trees were full of apples, the staff was friendly and engaging. Made great recommendations for lunch. We'll be back!

One of the Best Pumpkin Patches in San Diego! This place is seriously one of the best pumpkin patches in San Diego! The staff is super friendly and actually takes time to chat with you, which makes the whole experience even better. There are a couple of admission options: if you want the full farm fun (petting zoo, tractor ride, etc.), it's about $20 per person and worth it! My kids were obsessed with brushing the mini goats and loved the tractor ride. If you're keeping it budget-friendly, there's a $10 option that still includes tons of fun and kids 3 and under are free! There's so much to do my kids loved the sandboxes and swings. And there are tons of cute photo ops for that perfect family pic. Highly recommend spending the extra $12 for the Apple Cannon definitely a blast!

So worth the drive and money! There's so much to do at Julian Farm and Orchard, especially during fall season, but I believe they are open year round. There's something to do for everyone including flower picking, petting farm animals or just walking around and enjoying the farm life. It is extremely spacious, dog and family friendly. There are strollers and wagons available for rent, but a bit pricey imo. You're also welcome to bring your own, but because it's on farm land, it's pretty bumpy! We bought the "farm life" option which included the petting zoo/animal sanctuary, tractor pulled hayride. 10 out of 10 recommend the tractor ride as it shows you the entire farm. It was nice to know where everything is. There's also so many play structures, slides and swings for little ones. Our toddler had a blast. I'd definitely come back and try flower picking next time. All the employees were very welcoming and friendly.

Cute farm and animals! No apple picking when we were there but they did have flowers you could pick. Everyone there was so nice and helpful. Feeding the goats was wild but so much fun!!! It's a trip worth it to make. We are definitely going back.

We absolutely love Julian Farm & Orchard! It's become a family tradition to visit every October, and every year it just gets better. There's so much to do for everyone -- from the hay ride through the beautiful property with Eric to the petting zoo and animal sanctuary, where Kyle was so nice and let our daughter feed the goats, our little one had the best time meeting all the animals. The apple cannon with Gopa was a favorite too -- such a fun and unique activity!

Our experience at Julian Fqrm was a 10/10 from start to finish. Everyone who works there is incredible. Special thanks to Kyle for his generosity to our family in the petting zoo with giving so much information about the animals and also a few extra treats for our girls to give. Another thanks to Eric (not Bob ) for making the hayride such a fun experience. If we knew everyone else's name who was helpful (literally everyone), I'd be sure to shout them out too! It was a beautiful property with so much to do, paid & free options. In addition to our farm life package, we also chose to pick flowers and definitely would have picked strawberries had we known they are pesticide and herbicide free. Oh well- just another excuse to visit again! We loved our time here so much and can't wait to come back!

Pumpkins were great but not as good as Katie. She was so welcoming and helpful. Will be back next year to see her.

What a fun place to go to on the weekend! They had everything to experience from hayrides to pumpkin picking to our favorite, the apple cannon. Gopa was the absolute best at helping our littles with the cannon! Such nice staff, which made it a magical day for us.

This would be an amazing place to go at the beginning of the season (berries in June and apples in September). With so much traffic, apples were gone in a week, and with everything already picked, there isn't much left to do except hang out with the animals, which are super cute. You can pay $2 to feed them. The ice skating rink we saw in November is tiny. There is still a lot of flowers and photo ops, so if you made the drive, Julian Farm is still worth it to check out. There's a little food truck that sells yummy local apple cider. Kind service. Yucky port-a-potties.

GO YOU WILL NOT REGRET! Amazing experience in a REAL farm! So much to experience, amazing views, plenty of attractions to have fun in, yummy food, all at reasonable prices. The selection of pickings is great, from flowers, apples, berries, pumpkins, to the lively atmosphere that accompanies them. The service was the best part- I met Gopa at the apple cannons (yes- apple cannons) who was a pleasure and also Kyle who's family owns the farm and gave me a few special insights. A must- visit for Julian.

I had an amazing time here this weekend with my family. Gopa was amazing to be around and helpful when showing us how to operate the Apple Cannons. Would definitely recommend coming here and trying the Apple Cider slushie

Very pricy to visit. $15 per person over 2 just to go see the farm. We expected pumpkins to cost less as well, average size $20. Though staff very friendly and amazing gourds!! Have you ever seen an Octopus Gourd? Gotta go get one before they are sold out. Kudos to the staff for setting up all the wonderful photo opps throughout the gourd displays, literally gourdous!!!! And have Apple Cider slushie.

We had an amazing time here , we've visit this pumpkin patch in the past and this time we came we were impressed by the improvements and things they have added . Also, all the staff is so welcoming and helpful . John , Deb & Toby in the axe throwing section were amazing & the man doing the Apple press demonstration really seem to enjoy his job . Lastly im not a fan of food trucks but the burgers here did not disappoint. Highly recommend for all ages

This place is great destination! Staff was amazing and engaging. Eric on the hay ride was welcoming and fun. Gopa at the apple cannon was engaging and made shooting the cannons a 10 out of 10. Would recommend for families and it is very kid friendly.

We come every year to the pumpkin patch and love the petting zoo and tractor rides. The kids tried the Apple cannons and loved it. Gopa and Mark at the cannon station were so friendly and caring for the kids, helping them shoot with the cannons. All the workers here are awesome!

It's is the perfect spot for kids, we were amazed with the variety of activities offered, from pumpkin patch, hayride, apple cannon, maze, petting zoo, etc, plus there was a scarecrows contest going on so added to the overall Fall/Halloween experience. It was crowded but the farm is extensive and didn't feel tight. The price is fair, I'd say a bit pricey for the add-on experiences but overall worth it. It's a one stop kind of place if you want to avoid jumping on and off to different farms. Julian is a lovely cozy mine town.

I recently came here over the past weekend on a Saturday with my friend and my dog. It was a far and windy drive from Oceanside but we made it! We had to park in the back area for overflow parking by the time we got there right before noon. I was underwhelmed by the gift shop. Not much to really look at or that I would buy. I was hoping there may be some pie for sale but to no avail (I am aware the pie shop is on the way to the farm). Loved the area they had for the pumpkins that were arranged nicely and by color and size. The tractor trailer was fun and cute. There weren't many options for food so I had the chili cheese fries from the 1 food truck. I also tried some hard cider and lemonade which were both alright in taste. I enjoyed going in the petting zoo and feeding the goats although some did get somewhat in my face for treats. I paid $20 for the farm life experience and thought it was worth the price. I also purchased 1 small black pumpkin and 1 gourd which I believe were $8 total but no bags to help carry them out to my car (which wouldn't be an issue if I didn't have my dog). Overall it was cute but far for what you get to experience.

I visited a few days ago with my family and was a little disappointed. First, we expected to see many more pumpkins and have more buying options, however there were almost none on the vines. In addition, the flowers were almost completely picked and there were no sunflowers to speak of. They do have activities for kids and families, but coming here as young adult (without kids) there aren't many things to do. Apple picking season was over at this point, but we knew that before. Staying for about an hour was our max. We got some nice photos with the barn and tractors and then headed out. Costs: $5 entry per person and additional price for activities

We came to visit Julian on memorial Monday and luckily this farm is still open. We did two boxes of strawberries picking. The farm is not small with a lot of fun activities including animal petting zoo for kids, maze, rock climbing and axe throwing... Unfortunately the strawberries weren't great today, they were small and not that harvested. They were also not that sweet. But the experience was nice. They also had raspberry and blackberry picking from the end of June. It's nice to spend time and have a good weekend here.

My friend and I went on a road trip to see the superbloom of wildflowers at Anzo Borrego. I wanted to see if there was anything else to do around, and I saw that this farm grew daffodils! It was along the way so definitely had to make the trip there. It's located across the Apple Tree Inn on Julian Hwy in Santa Ysabel. There's a dirt parking lot with ample parking. My friend and I paid at the entrance and there were workers around to help us take pictures or answer any questions. They were also very courteous of our privacy too. The regular admission fee is $5 per person or $25 for the all-inclusive wristband either paid in-person or online. My friend and I were the first ones to arrive at the farm, so we had all the time with the daffodils! Super excited to take pictures. The flower field was located on the back right of the farm and there were lines of yellow daffodils of different types/species! The field wasn't full when we went so we were only able to see two types. Nevertheless, still beautiful! It was raining heavily days before and was cloudy the day before, so the flowers were facing downwards (peep at video). We were also allowed to pick daffodils but because they were facing downwards, we didn't know if they were going to raise upwards if they were already facing down. A worker reassured us that they would but still didn't want to risk disturbing them. My friend and I were mainly there for the flower field but there was also a petting zoo, picnic tables to hang out at, tractor rides, and I believe a rock climbing activity? We walked around the entire farm including the petting farm to say hi to the three baby goats. What a fun place to be with families and friends! My friend and I both had a fun time at the farm! They have a lot of activities offered year round including Easter, apple picking, and pumpkin patch. If I'm ever heading east again, definitely will be back!

This was my first time going to Julian and the first time going berry picking since I was a kid. I was able to make a reservation online before heading to the farm. Admission was $5 and $7 to pick the berries. They only had strawberries available to pick, which was great since that's what we came here to do anyways. Staff was very friendly and it was really easy to identify the fields to pick the berries in. Even at around noon, we still had a lot of berries we were able to pick I really like how they have seasonal fruit picking and activities throughout the year, I am planning to return next year to do strawberry picking again and perhaps in the fall to visit the pumpkin patch.

Mainly the woman who "greeted" us at the gate was the most unpleasant person not only to me but also the man after me who was asking for parking help. The website gave conflicting information about what age for children requires ticket and the greeter was very rude in telling me it was my loss and no type of reimbursement would be offered. Facility was basic and nice enough but I would not pay to go here again nor would I recommend going out of your way to go.

Amazing experience! Kyle deserves a raise he's incredible. Joe and Raymond were also super helpful. Everyone we met was kind and welcoming. 10/10 :)

The experience was awful. My family and I went there for a fun day turned out to be the worst day. We payed $130 and we learned you have to pay for everything the fruits, pumpkins, food and flowers. The service is okay but the experience is not, the employees were nice to you. In the end i would not come here again my family left eating 2 blueberry sized strawberries and a small apple.

Coming here was one of our adventure while camping nearby. We were already in line a few minutes before the opening time on a Saturday in July. The parking area was pretty empty. I'm not sure if it was because it was weather related (hot) or the cost of the berry picking. We were informed that it was $15 for either picking strawberries, or blackberry and raspberry. The container for the strawberry was a bit larger than the berry container. The $15 included the petting zoo and hay ride. We were pressed for time so we didn't get to do the hayride. I asked one f the staff how long is the hayride and was told about 8 minutes. I opted to pick for the blackberries and raspberries. The raspberries were quite small, as the blackberries were large. Both berries were sweet. I found the raspberries to be very fragile, so eat right away or freeze them and use in smoothies or baking at a later time. I wandered in the rows of sunflowers and spray of wildflowers. I did have the chance to get a tour of the petting zoo by one of the staffs. She was very helpful and gladly and proudly showed off the beautiful animals that are under their care. On the grounds they have trees that have hammocks. There are also a few picnic tables in the same shaded area. They also have a gift shop that offer fresh flowers, jams, honey and some other merchandise. You will also find some postcards too. If you are looking to pick an abundance of fruit for a deal, this may not be the place for you. But if you are looking for the berry picking experience that includes a hayride and petting zoo, plus supporting a small business then, bingo! This the place for you in this area. Experience the small town of Julian nearby too!

We came last year to pick pumpkins and my son loved hugging every goats before letting us leave. Saw that it's now open on Wed, Sat, and Sunday so we had to make a trip up the mountain. First time picking raspberries and blackberries ($15 per container) includes hay ride and petting zoo. My son was so sad he couldn't get in there with the goats like before, now that the new fence and gate is up. He tried to enjoy the ear scratches through the fence but it's not the same haha. Love all the additions, awesome hammocks and picnic tables in the shade, misters to help cool down. Was told a helicopter pad was being put in to help with the wild fires. Kindest couple, come support their farm!

A cute, cheaper quaint destination for family and friends. Pick your own seasonal fruit and enjoy fun activities like swings (if you can fit), rock climbing, axe throwing, and tractor riding. Friendly workers who were patient with us and eager to discuss the animals and share experiences with us. A fun variety of farm animals that were very friendly (sheep, rabbits, pigs, goats, chickens). General prices were $5 with additional features costing $5 more

We went to check out the pumpkin patch. It's very cute. Had things for the kids to do such as rock climbing, crafts and hayrides, Food vendors and gift shop with julian pies. We tried fried oreos for the first time. You can pick fresh berries in season.

Stayed in Julian for thanksgiving and wanted to take my boys to the ice rink. Extremely disappointed It's not a regular ice rink that everyone is used to. It's some fake (GL) ice that sucks!!! It's set by squares and there's gaps in between. Also, nobody seems to clean up the water or dirt on top of it. If you are looking to skate on real ice, avoid this and save your time and money.

Went here on the first day of daffodils. It was not very crowded which i liked. They have a few activities around the farm like rock climbing and axe throwing which i thought was cool. We did not go into the petting zoo do to our dog also not allowed in certain crop areas, still very dog friendly. The walk around the farm is very peaceful. We may come by again in another season

Loved every second here!! Everyone here was so sweet. Definitely recommend coming here and making great memories with your loved ones! This is my family's second time coming here and we will continue to do so

This place actually kinda sucks you pay $10 to get in and it doesn't really include anything at all. They didn't even have enough pumpkins so you couldn't do U-PICK. If you are originally from east coast this is nothing compared to the fun stuff to do at farms there. Super disappointed.

We came for the flower picking and everyone incredibly helpful both at the entrance booth and the flower field! Each stem was $2 or a dozen for $20. Just from the entrance we could already smell the flowers! We were so excited we didn't even realize there we different kinds of daffodils until we already picked a dozen, lol. After picking our flowers, we walked over to the petting zoo to peek over at the animals. One of the amazing staff members, Ursula, walked over to chat and told us about the rescues they have been caring for. She asked me if I'd like to hold her 2 month old piggy rescue (she could tell i was itching to hold the little guy)! At the gift shop, we grabbed a jug of their apple cider. It was delicious! Great experience, can't wait to visit again :)

Great little farm to visit. Every employee was so incredibly friendly and helpful. We did the all inclusive wristbands and took advantage of rock climbing, tractor rides, face paint and petting zoo. The kids were able to hold a baby pig and were in heaven!! There are all kinds of picnic spots with kids activities and swings scattered across the property. Can't wait to visit in the fall.
