Saba Island Is Called the 'Unspoiled Queen of the Caribbean' — and It's Home to a 'Disappearing Beach'

"With only three resort-style hotels (Queen’s Hotel, Bar, & Kitchen, Juliana’s Hotel, and Saba Arawak Hotel), plus a handful of cottages and bed-and-breakfasts, accommodations on Saba are limited to roughly 120 rooms. This means you’ll need to book early, but also that the island never feels crowded, so you’ll always be able to enjoy its laid-back vibe." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Beautiful view, clean rooms, and ac that will freeze you. We went on a dive trip and stayed here. Very nice place and friendly staff. Mattress could use replacing but that was the only complaint, and I was told our room was about to be updated as most of our friends had new more comfortable mattresses.

Juliana’s Hotel is hands down one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. There’s a tranquility here that’s hard to put into words—something about the combination of stunning mountain and seaside views makes it the perfect escape. One of the highlights of staying at Juliana’s is The Tropics Restaurant & Bar, located right on the property. The food, drinks, and overall vibe are fantastic, making it a great spot to unwind. The staff at Juliana’s are incredibly friendly and accommodating, always making sure guests feel welcome and taken care of. The rooms are cozy and provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. I also love that Juliana’s encourages sustainability by providing guests with recyclable water bottles to use at the convenient water stations around the property. It’s a small but thoughtful touch that makes a difference. Another thing that stands out is their commitment to supporting local businesses. Juliana’s sells locally produced products, which I think is commendable. A couple of my personal favorites are their local jams and the beautifully crafted local earrings—both make for great souvenirs! A huge plus is the complimentary airport and sea port pick-up and drop-off, making travel to and from the hotel completely hassle-free. It’s just another example of how well thought out the entire property is. You can tell the owners have put a lot of care into designing the space, from the lush garden to the serene koi pond, home to various fish and turtles. Overall, Juliana’s Hotel offers exceptional value for money. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, great food, or a scenic getaway, this place has it all. Highly recommend!

This was our first visit to Saba and Juliana's hotel. Hotel is operated by owners and their staff and it shows in a very positive way. Everybody is very friendly, accommodating to all needs of the guests and makes everybody feel at home. We arrived early in the morning by ferry, but the Juliana bus was waiting for us at the dock. When got to office early we were welcomed by Hanneke and Wim and our early arrival was not a problem. We had breakfast at the Tropics cafe. We stayed in the Mango suite for 3 days and it was great. There is a resident artist, so my wife took an art class, which she loved. We had breakfast and lunch/dinner at the Tropics cafe every day and walked around town. The Juliana is a secret gem, sitting on secret, small rock Saba in the Caribbean.

Wonderful hotel. They pick you up at the airport or ferry dock, take you right to the beautiful hotel with a fantastic restaurant. Great views, room was wonderful and service fantastic. Great spot to hike Mt Scenery from as the trailhead is a five minute walk from the hotel.

Really enjoyed the stay there! The room was great and spacious and clean and had a patio with chairs and a hammock and an amazing view! Bathroom was spacious and clean and you have a fridge. You even get refillable water bottles to keep! Really loved it there!

Had a very enjoyable stay, great spot to stay on Saba. On site restaurant was very good including the included breakfast. Some good traveller friendly touches like a welcome drink and transfers from the airport. Could leave luggage on the final day which made it easy to keep exploring the island. Would prefer a slightly better shower head in the bathroom; not a major point.

A beautiful spot on the Unspoiled Queen, Juliana's has great rooms, great service, and amazing views overlooking the ocean with ocean views in every room. This is our second visit here and everyone and everything at Juliana's is great, working well to make our visit to Saba a memorable and magnificent one. Highly recommended!
