Bolivian and peruvian food really like be in the country🥰 the portions are very big , the dood is delicious , a place to have lunch everyday.

Google
Very authentic and very delicious. The service is always excellent and the prices are great. I’ve paid three times as much for less than half the amount of food at other restaurants. The owners are very friendly and welcoming . He’s the chef and she runs the dining area. This is a Bolivian/Peruvian restaurant that represents both countries very well with its food and drink selection. I recommend their “moconchinche” (I have no idea if I spelled that right). It’s a very refreshing drink made from dried peaches…think of it as a sweet iced peach tea. You also must try the salteñas. They’re basically Bolivian meat pies and they are super juicy and delicious. Julianna’s gets a clean five stars from me straight across the board…and my whole family agrees to that. “Muchas gracias señora! Fue un gusto saludarle y volver a disfrutar de su comida este día de la independencia peruana!

Google
Everything was great! Service could’ve been a bit more attentive, I ended up waiting for my take out for about 20 minutes and also to order food it took a little bit longer. Besides minor fixes I would recommend this restaurant! Delicious food

Google
All Good people, but I hate cevinche🥺 my fault, I will never try raw food again! But tampal is good!

Google
Hands down the BEST Peruvian food I have EVER had. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection! My favorite part of the entire night was when they brought out a whole bottle of their amazing signature sauce to every table instead of giving it out in small containers which is traditionally done at Peruvian restaurants. The service and atmosphere here was also a 10/10! I definitely recommend coming here!!

Google
Visited on a Sunday afternoon and ordered the Silpancho. It was prepared nicely - the meat was tender, the potatoes were tasty, and the rice was moist. Good food and good service. Would go there again if in the area.

Google
The Bolivian food is very delicious and full of flavor. A lot of love was put into the cooking. We ordered the silpancho, milanesa, and flan. The portions were very generous at reasonable prices. Our waitress provided above and beyond customer service.

Google
I had the best chicken empanada here in this restaurant. I even ordered half a dozen for take out to bring home. If only this restaurant is close to our home, I would definitely order here all the time. The food were delicious, the ambience is typical Latin American setting, the service was fast. It was a great dining experience.

Yelp
Fantastic in every way! Friendly service, we picked up but will dine in sometime as well, seemed cozy and family run. The chicken and steak dishes we got were plentiful and flavorful. Get both sauces

Yelp
Okay, the interior has stepped up its game. It's gorgeous inside and feels like you're coming home to a place that is filled with so much love, dedication, warmth, and so much delicious food. I always come here for my ceviche, and it hits every single time. I love Julianna's!

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance was great. Staff was excellent. I was looking forward to coming here and it did not disappoint. Well worth the hour drive

Yelp
The food and service here is top notch. I absolutely loved the Lomo Montado with sirloin. The music, ambiance, and art is great to look at while having classic Bolivian cuisine. I plan on packing some saltinas to bring back with me to Houston. My Bolivian wife was even so impressed with the food, and the staff were so friendly!!!

Yelp
This Peruvian restaurant has a nice small private lot where you can park, otherwise you can try street parking around the block. When we walked in, I noticed a bit of a musty smell inside the building. I have a sensitive nose, so maybe others did not notice, but I did. That was a bit of a turn off. When you get the menu, you will see many items with the prices scratched off or with colored stickers on top of them...so if you need to know the prices, you need to ask. Or, look at the receipt afterwards to know how much you have been charged for the entrees. There were 6 of us, so we all ordered many things and overall the food was good at all levels. My Churrasco (I ordered medium RARE) came cooked medium well, but since we were so hungry and my husband's meal came like 5 minutes after everyone else's, I ate it. It wasn't bad, but that tells you that usually it's better to ask for the meat to be undercooked, so it comes to you not too overcooked. The cheese salteña was puffy with a nice sweet dough enrobing a minimal cheese filling....barely no cheese filling..... Their chaufa was large and plentiful, as well as the ceviche dish. The maduros were all sweet and well done, so that was a good thing. The waitress was very pleasant and nice. The food was good, but definitely not my top choice for Peruvian food in the area.

Yelp
Amazing food And the owners, maria and frank are extremely good people, wait times are very low and the patio is beautiful

Yelp
I've never had anything else besides the ceviche mixto and the chicken saltena. But omggg the ceviche is so delish! Perfect tang and mix of flavors, not fishy tasting and fresh each time I've had it. Never been inside but I've been treated to takeout a few times here. The saltena is good but has a delicate flavor, you have to load it up with sauces.
google avatar

Yelp
I love it here the food is very authentic and delicious. It's kinda like Los Andes restaurant but just different look. Nice and clean and good service as well
google avatar

Mike F.

Yelp
The restaurant could use more decor- brighten up the culture. I was not happy that the extensive menu had no prices. This could get tricky. We had the tamale which was sweet, hot and delicious. Then we had the Saltenas- best around. Hot from the oven and tasty on the tongue. I could eat ten of these! Then the main meal- soooo good. Very tasty and plentiful. The cheesy rice was so good and the chicken a lo pobre hit the spot. The waiter was super nice and very on his game. In the end the food was not pricey and you got more than what you paid for. I was very pleased. I will be back again.

Yelp
Near by there is not other restaurants where you can enjoy a beer with your meal. So I decide to stop by and it reminded me to Los Andes in chalkstone Avenue before they got huge and more like fine dining. I order the lomo montado with ribeye and it was cooked perfectly medium rare (which I was surprised because Spanish restaurants are afraid to cook rare meat). Portions are generous for the price. No beer on top but really good selection on bottle. Next time I'll bring my family. Just one think they need some music just have atmosphere. Overall great place to I forgot they put on the table a home made jalapeño salsa that you can drink. It was delicious

Yelp
Small little place but good food and service was great I was out and about in RI and just wanted something new Was worth the drive over and the try Will definitely be back to try other items

Alex K.

Yelp
TRY JULIANNAS you won't be disappointed!! Delicious food here I always come back. One of my favorite places because you can always count on the dish tasting amazing. They have a large selection of dishes to pick from and amazing bakery items I highly recommend cuñape, but really everything is soooo good. PLUS Great portions and great prices!!!

Yelp
Great little gem of a restaurant off the beaten path. We are in town for a work event and the good reviews inspired us to drive over from Smithfield after work for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the private parking lot, large menu variety, and highly attentive service. Be sure to bring your appetite - the serving sizes are quite large! Our server was excellent! He answered all our questions and provided great recommendations. We each ordered something different from the menu, including 2 specials. All four of our entrees were delicious! The grilled meats were the stars of each plate: tender, flavorful, large portions. Our salads and other vegetable sides were incredibly fresh! However the extra cheese-y rice and pesto sauces were a little rich for the meal. Overall though, everything was very good. We will have to come back on our next business trip and try more of the specials.

Yelp
Julianna's is my favorite restaurant for Peruvian and Bolivian food in Providence/RI. I have 2 go-to orders whenever I get food from there: Pescado a lo macho OR ceviche de pescado. The pescado a lo macho is a bit of a heavier dish with a big piece of fried fish with mussels, squid rings and tentacles, and shrimp in a slightly spicy red broth. It comes with a delicious white rice that must have been cooked in a chicken or very well seasoned stock. If the main dish wasn't so good, I could order just the rice and be happy with my decision. It also comes with some fried yucca/cassava. The other dish pictured is ceviche with fish and shrimp that my girlfriend loves!
google avatar

Benjamin L.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, great food and overall pleasant vibe. I don't know of many Bolivian restaurants around here, but I was lucky enough to find one right in Providence. The chicharron was absolutely incredible, 100% recommended. Will absolutely be returning soon

Yelp
We went for dinner for two this Friday evening, on the recommendation of several Spanish-speaking friends. It was noticeable that although it is a spacious venue, there were relatively few full tables for a Friday evening. The server, Blanca, was very prompt and attentive, but she didn't advise us of their policy of charging a 20% service charge in addition to their suggested gratuity ranging from 15-25% additional to the service charge. We ordered their empanadas de queso which turned out to have a sweet crust and almost no cheese, so instead of a savory appetizer it turned out to taste like a bland dessert. Their chicha morada limeña drink is not from Lima and it's not freshly made, it was served in its bottle that identified it as made in the USA. It was overly sweet. My girlfriend ordered their Jalea dish(spicy deep fried seafood with fries, fried yucca, and roasted maize) and that turned out to be very good and a very generous portion, which could be good enough for two. I ordered their pescado a la parilla (grilled fish) made with corvina, and again the portion was large, and it was accompanied by a house salad and boiled yucca and a giant rice ball. The fish was fresh but overly salty, and the yucca/rice combo was too much starch and a green or yellow hot vegetable offering with either starch would have greatly improved the dish.

Yelp
Update: I called in and ordered the Tallarin Saltado de Carne, Bistek a lo Pobre and the ceviche mixto. When I picked up my order there was a language barrier so I assume everything was right when I got home it wasn't! I didn't have the Tallarin Saltado de Carne, I had rice instead of noodles, (picture below). Call ins over the phone are stressful with the language barrier but the food is amazing.

Yelp
This is probably one of my favorite places to get food. The food is seasoned very well, it comes very hot, and always fresh. Arroz con mariscos and the ceviche is AMAZING! You can really taste the freshness in the fish, it is so soft and tender. Also, lomo saltado de camarones is my fav, I'm not sure if it's on the menu but when I ask for it they always do make it The reason why I can't give a 5stars is just the service , which is unfortunate. There isn't any order or organization (my opinion). Too long to get seated, waitresses aren't always in the best mood, food takes a long time to reach the table, not so many check-ins with the table if anything is needed. It was like this at the older location as well but maybe with more time this new locations' service will increase in satisfaction. But I have to say that the food always has me coming back, it's that good. Super super yummy!

Brandon A.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. The staff is so friendly and the service is great. This is my 4th time here and the food is fantastic!

Carlos R.

Yelp
Great food but the employees refuse to give you extra sauce unless you provide a tip for take out. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. Will not be returning.
google avatar

Bianca C.

Yelp
Our server was such a sweetheart! She took the time to explain some things on the menu that weren't super familiar. I got the ceviche and tamales Amazing peruvian food!

Carla J.

Yelp
Great food mouth watering... Hidden treasures of RI I highly recommend Julianna's friendly staff the Passion fruit drink is a must the portion size are great to two to share..
google avatar

Jack C.

Yelp
Los Andes food with casual atmosphere. Very friendly staff and clean restaurant. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a good meal but don't want the wait line of los Andes and it's BYOB
google avatar

Amylynne F.

Yelp
I came here Bc I love Los Andes, and whenever I tell someone that, they say I have to try Julianna's. I got the arroz con mariscos, which is similar to the paella at Los Andes (yes yes, I know there is a difference but flavor wise it is similar). I found the portion size to be huge, and while there was a ton of rice, they also did a good job packing in shrimp, calamari and mussels. My gf had the ribeye with plantains and while she loved the plantains, she complained the ribeye was tasteless. She also had a size of beef stew and enjoyed that. The server was extremely sweet. There was also a parking lot, which was nice!

Yelp
Very rude answering the phone "hello!!!?" Hello is this julliannas? umm YEAH Julianna's restaurant.... Try answering the phone saying "thank you for calling Julian's how can I help you?" When calling and someone says "Hello!!" Like you're bothering them?I ifs so rude . Anyways, i started off by saying "i have a rather large order" and after the 2nd item, and every item after they were like "is that it?" And it wasn't like, normal ordering food time... it was annoyance and a lot of huffing and puffing. ... don't accept orders that people pick up then! I would have gladly kept my $100 and spend it at another local business with similar food. Plenty of them around!! The food was really good. And it was hot. And they didn't mess any of the order up. But the attitude on the phone was unnecessary. One tip- if you have fried food (fries, yuca, platanos...) ask if they should alway go in a separate container from other foods, and pop holes in the top so the items don't get soggy from the condensation/heat of the food. The food was really good, again... could have done without the attir

Yelp
Great food and amazing service! I had the ceviche mixto, yuca fries, tostones, and a maracuya margarita. All was excellent! I loved the quality of the food. The only thing I wish was that the chairs be more comfortable and that there was a drink menu.
google avatar

Yelp
GREAT FOOD ALERT!! If Julianna's was closer to my house, we would go at least once a week. The place is not fancy but with food like this, who cares that the restaurant is dated. My wife and daughter split the jalea (fried seafood platter for 2), and I got the ceviche mixto. The jalea was very plentiful. They could not finish it. The shrimp and mussels were fried perfectly. The ceviche might have been the best ceviche I've had in years. The waitress was very friendly and took great care of us. She explained each dish to us as though she were the expert chef.

Yelp
Need to Try Again We were so pleased to have an opportunity to try Bolivian and Peruvian food at Julianna's. My work colleagues and I sampled the fried fish and raw fish and found them to be pretty good, but I want to try other items. They also have many meat options. Fernando the waiter was friendly and charming. The owner was very welcoming and gave us a free appetizer to welcome us on our first visit. She was also conscientious and checked in with us during both of our visits to make sure we enjoyed our meals. The food isn't fast since it is made to order, but we found it well worth the wait. The atmosphere is clean but not overly cozy a little stale. There are a couple of televisions in the dining room. I'm not a big fan of televisions in restaurants, but since they are set to Spanish language channels they seemed less intrusive to us. We found the prices to be very reasonable and the portions generous. We look forward to returning there and trying new dishes. Thanks
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
For take out, I very much enjoyed the mixed seafood ceviche! It was fresh and such a large serving. Location was easy to find and easy parking. The atmosphere is nothing fancy, as you can see from my pictures, however don't let that fool you on how amazing the food is. Very friendly service. We ordered our food for pick up and it was immediately ready-in and out. I will definitely be back to try dine in option.

Yelp
Best Peruvian food I swear better than Los Andes their service is good always and I been here over a handful of times.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
It's good food Bolivian food. I have not tried the Peruvian side of it yet. *As far as the Salteñas they are quite small and cost more compared to other places. They are tasty but they could be bigger for the price. "3 inches in average" *Customer service is wonderful . *excellent portions on the dishes and soups.
google avatar

Yelp
Very expensive restaurant,I felt very uncomfortable, when I went to the register there was a young girl and a male both completely ignore me for like 10m without any customer service whatsoever, finally a older lady came out and took care of me,I felt rush the atmosphere was so heavy I just grab and payed the lady and bounce.this happen on March 2018 just recently..gd food tho, they have to work on not being to rude and treat customers like if they are family visiting from PERU.LOL

Yelp
I love coming to Juilianna's. The decor is simple, the space is a little bigger than they probably need and there is plenty of space between each table. Usually when i come in there aren't very many people eating in the restaurant. They typically do a ton of take out. The waiter here is very attentive and sweet. He's the type of guy who calls you honey and you don't get weirded out by it. He always makes suggestions on what we might like and always makes sure our water glasses are full. Though the waiters reccomendations always sound great i usually end up ordering the Lomo Saltado. The steak is so flavorful and when the rice and french fries soaks up the sauce which accompanies the steak it can't be beat! The soups, when they don't run out, are very hearty and tasty. I've tried all of them except the peanut soup (as i'm allergic). I think if i had to pick a favorite it'd be the beef soup. The hominy and larger portion of corn and beef in there are great. The owner of the restaurant usually comes by and checks in on us and thanks us for coming in. She's really sweet and nice. You can really tell she loves what she does. During my last visit she mentioned that they were looking into changing locations to somewhere on/near chalkstone blvd. I can't wait to see what the new place will look like. This hidden gem could definitely give Los Andes a run for it's money! The food is just as good if not better at Julianna's, the prices are much more reasonable, and there are no scary mannequins like there are at Los Andes. Give Juilanna's a try! You won't be sorry!
google avatar

Yelp
First time here tonight. Can't wait to go back and work my way through the menu. The flavors were delish. I had the pique macho. Bursting with hot spicy flavors. My wife had chicken and rice. She asked first variations of the dish and they accommodated her with no issues. The garden salad was very very very fresh. Not like other places who serve it after they prepare during the day and refrigerate it all day. Also, it's BYOB. That's a plus. Plenty of parking too. Clean place.
google avatar

Matt T.

Yelp
For all that are new to Bolivian Peruvian food this is amazing. I used to frequent Los Andes until they became over populated. You will always find a seat at Julianna's . They have the same menu as Los Andes . Same dishes and same flavor. Give it a try! They won't disappoint. Also its byob

Yelp
Last Saturday evening Diego, Isa, Miyako and I returned time Juliana's at the new location on Pocasset Ave. First- the new location is much nicer than the Hartford Ave location. It is bigger and much nicer decor and general vibe. They have a nice outdoor eating area and a parking lot next to the restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted politely and directed to sit anywhere we wanted. The place wide open likely because of the Bolivian Festival at the State house. We ordered Salteñas for appetizers- a couple chicken and beef. We enjoyed both, though I'm partial to the chicken.4/5 Diego order Picante de Pollo and said he enjoyed it, though he didn't find particularly picante. 4/5 Isa ordered Picante Mixto-lengua and Pollo and also enjoyed it. She eating 4/5. Miyako and I ordered Silpancho- for non Boliviana this a breaded think steak w/ fries, rice, 2 fried eggs, rice and salsa We gave the Silpancho- 4/5... Please bear in mind that my Mother was a great cook and my sister Maria has followed suit- hence my standards for traditional Bolivian food are quite high Overall the experience was great and we all like the new more modern and cleaner lo action. We will be back and I recommend Juliana's as a less expensive alternative to Los Andes Bolivian restaurant on Chalkstone Salud!

Yelp
My first time at Julianna's. They offer Peruvian as well as Bolivian food. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. We had a large group and our food took a bit long to make it to the table, but we were pleased when it did. While we waited the waiter was attentive and brought us drinks and offered appetizers which we ordered; the yuca frita (fried root) was excellent, salchipapas (hotdogs with french fries), my niece ordered an empanada which was not to her liking as it was a bit sweet. I was a bit disappointed at how some were served their food before others instead of all the food arriving at the same time, but like I said we were a large group so I can only assume the order must of been difficult. We were offered drinks and since the kids were thirsty we were given the option of getting a 2 liter bottle instead of glass after glass (maybe because there were a lot of us). I liked that the waiter was able to separate the orders so at the end each family could pay for their orders (heads up, the tip will be included in your total, you don't have to tip separately). Pros: food is good, staff is friendly and accommodating. Cons: food takes a little long and food came to table at different times (reason for 4 stars instead of 5) I will be returning .

Yelp
Place is good but not great. They serve big portions but quality is not all there. I enjoyed my cheviche but I would not go out of my way to get it again. My cousin kept it basic by ordering arroz chaufa. Looked good, but I mean who messes up chicken fried rice? Anyhow, the reason I opted to give it a 4 over a 3 is because staff is friendly. Micah was super nice and made me feel welcomed.

Yelp
I always order the bisctec a lo pobre. Very delicious food and recommended the salteñas!! Good place to eat with family.

Yelp
Love it, nice place, service excellent, the food awesome especially the Bolivian cuisine,
google avatar

Kristina M.

Yelp
Had the ribeye steak which I ordered medium rare and it came well done and flavorless but good thing the plantains saved the day. Also had beef soup and it was ok. Servers super nice and plenty of parking. Prices reasonable for the portions.
google avatar

Hannah R.

Yelp
I love Julianna's restaurant, they have the best tamales and Bolivia food. I think the owner is also Bolivian so I don't know why it says only Peruvian. Amazing food & great service.
google avatar

Rebecca D.

Yelp
The girls wanted pan seared steak so we went here for churasco. Both steaks were juicy and flavorful. it was just what the girls wanted.
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
Love Julianna's! They have a very friendly and knowledgeable staff, the food is always great and their portions always seems to stretch for about a day or two worth of leftovers. I would recommend trying their Bolivian pastries (humintas, cuñape, empanada de queso or their salteñas) and also the Bolivian drink "mocochinchi". I always eat my meals with their homemade Bolivian spicy sauce "llajua", it taste good with everything!
google avatar

Angie O.

Yelp
I'm soo happy they're only down the street ! Food is amazing and wonderful service ! I will continue coming here .

Yelp
Great food and great price! Also love that that they have lunch specials from Monday to Friday. Serving is great, I go there at least 3 times a week

Yelp
I finally checked this place out after walking by it a bunch of times because its next door to my favorite bakery, (bonos) and I can't believe I waited so long! The food is up there with the best I've ever had! I always get the grilled chicken or steak with white rice, potatoes and a salad. It is the best in Rhode Island. I know that's saying a lot because the food is so great in RI, but its the truth. Surprisingly large for what seemed to be a hole in the wall and extremely clean!! I can't say enough about the flavor of this food. It's also great for take out being right off route 6. I Sometimes order it if I'm in a rush. In and out very quickly. Great food. Especially for the price. Highly recommend!!!
