We really wanted to try a Montreal bagel style, and here you can get one with salmon + cream cheese. If we definitely prefer NY bagel style, it was generously filled (salmon was excellent) and staff very friendly ! They do salads, coffee and other morning stuff.

Wow. Service, incredible and friendly, those guys are just awesome. This comptoir has the perfect amount of light and greenery making it a perfect little place to relax and take a break no matter the chaos outside. Coffee made to perfection, as a costumer I feel spoiled. Their pressed braised beef and cheese sandwich is heart warming and their salmon bagel with dill, cucumber and cream cheese is a dream packed with flavor and crunchiness! Yes, I will go back again! 😉

What a great find near Mount Royal Park! Was a great way to refuel after walking up to the Chalet. Excellent spot for brunch, breakfast, smoothies and coffee. I had the tuna poke bowl with quinoa and my brother had the breakfast bowl with a side of berry pancakes. Everything was absolutely delicious. Their decor is really soothing too with lots of plants and natural light. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

The food is delicious...like..."stop yourself from eating so fast" delicious. And it's the only place to get a decent smoothie in the area. Staff is great. Everything is easy to take to-go, or dine in. It's all the best parts of quick diner service and chef-made healthy food. Good for breakfast, lunch, or a hangover.

Been here multiple times. Great food, friendly staff. The poke-moi salad is my favourite. It's a big meal, very filling. But also very healthy (lots of quinoa, edamame, etc.). Good vegetarian/vegan options.

I was so curious as to why this place had such good ratings, but now I know. This spot is a hidden gem. The food was amazing! I had the unicorn salad, and I think it was probably the best salad I've ever had. My friend got the chicken burger and said it was extremely juicy, tender and flavourful. The prices are fair, even on the cheaper side in my opinion. The inside decor is so adorable, and the staff is extremely friendly. Would 11/10 recommend. I will definitely be coming back again and again!

While on vacation in the city and walking down St. Laurent, we stumbled upon this place by coincidence since it was lunch time. We ordered the Unicorn tuna tataki salad and the Cubano sandwich to share between two people. The portions were good and the food tasted great. Ingredients were fresh and the food preparation was fantastic. The people working here should be proud of the food they serve. It's a small spot but it had a few tables and just by the people coming in alone, it seems like a popular takeout lunch spot. This was a very great find by complete accident. I would highly recommend stopping in at this place if you're in the neighborhood.

The BEST pancakes you will have!! They are fluffy and delicious. The toppings go together super well. I’d recommend the potato fritters as a side because pancakes alone could be a lot of the same flavour. *Bubble tea is not sold there

Estaba caminando y me llamo la atención este lugar y entre para pobrar algo, ordene el GRILLED CHEESE el cual estaba bueno pero tal vez de falte un poco mas de relleno o de repente no aplastar mucho el sándwich osea en lugar de aplastarlo solo ponerlo en el horno un poco con la forma original del pan, el lugar es súper pequeño pero bien bonito, es básicamente para pedir y comer en el parque

Found on Yelp looking for a sandwich. This place did not disappoint. A lunch spot (closes at 4). The staff friendly smiling and helpful. There were 4 of us. All of our dishes were excellent. I got Le Bète, and others got gringo salad, le frenchie , and grilled cheese w braised beef. Small place but seating avail and nice atmosphere.

Delightful find in a cute neighborhood. Friendly owner, agreed to convert my grilled cheese to vegetarian. My sons enjoyed the veggie burger and veggie bowl with tofu. It is definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. Small challenges, but not dealbreakers, especially for tourists, are: - it is tiny, so best to try outside of the busy hours or picnic in the adjacent park. - it has no restroom, so you have to hold it, or wander the streets for a willing store nearby. Small suggestion to the owners - find and confirm nearby restrooms so you always answer "yes!" and direct customers to a place you know is close and allows public access. Overall, though, fun, fresh food for all palates and very reasonably priced !

Cet endroit est excellent!! I randomly took a group of buddies to eat lunch here because of the 5 star rating and the fried chicken sandi pic caught my eye. I had a good gut feeling about this nondescript tiny restaurant. John and I formed a La Bete/grilled cheese w braised beef alliance that exceeded expectations. It all starts with the bread which was fresh & delicious. I highly recommend this combo. The poutine and chorizo mac'n'cheese were incredible. Friendly service. Frankly, I would rate 5+ stars if that were an option. How did I not take any pictures??? Nothing over hyped here folks, c'est magnifique

Julian by the Mountain The duo @julianscomptoir are not to be messed with. Ex-Tapeo folks, they're cookin' up healthy, creative, colourful dishes with fresh ingredients. Poke Bowls, salads, sandwiches & anything on the menu is good even the coffee! Right on Mt. Royal, the decor is nice, staff is friendly, & parking is a mess, but the food... oh Jacky! Close to perfection. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich (La bête) and the potato croquettes on the side. There must be a pathological slovenliness which accompanied a fast order restaurant and a deep fat fryer to just HAMMER the out of food. Such travesties, one shan't find here. Perfectly done fried chicken, moist and tender on the inside, crispy, light and well seasoned on the outside. Creamy red cabbage slaw, well dressed, with just the right hits of brightness and acidity. Croquettes were perfectly cooked, like the dreamy Caucasian cousin of a pakora you had only friended in FB but never met in person until now. Somehow we only discovered this place yesterday. A welcome addition to the Plateau, with some inspired sandwiches and salads that are a cut above the usual. We ordered 2 cod fritter sandwiches for takeout and their homemade ginger iced tea. All good, and reasonably priced. Check them out.

I can't believe I've been paying nearly 20$ for a god dam salad lol But it's HUGE and had all these different things in it! I always feel super stuffed all day after eating it since it's so filling. I've ordered this same salad 3 times and still can't remember it's name lol Glad they let me switch the lettuce for kale, cause the fk I care about lettuce when paying this much lol. I also got to switch the carrots for beets too ^_^ That was nice, I wonder what else they've got. The tuna is a nice touch. I like how it's raw in the middle, cooked outside and covered in sesame seeds ^_^ Pickled ginger slices, cucumber, avocado, tempura crunchy bits, and wasabe-no-idea-ness? Hey, it's a nice substituion when you like sushi ^_^ I really liked what they did with the sunflower seeds. Some sort of green beans, can't tell if it's soy or edame, but it's nice. So, I finally get to try quinoa and I like it a lot ^_^ Their creamy dresing is also nice. I like how the salad is not mixed. Everything is separated so you get to control the balance of every bite. I know I should try their other salads, but it's hard for me to venture away from something I like a lot xp I like their coffees. Not super expenive or small and really nice/flavorful. I did get the chance to try one of their smoothies: Banana expresso! And it was soooooo good :) The restaurant itself looks like ... a little girls bedroom lol I mean it is very cute, not cluttered, small and clean. I wouldn't change anything. I just find it funny to see a place like that, but all the staff are these big muscular tall cute men lol fkn hipsters, right? lol. Unexpected, but it's fine the way it is.

The butternut squash veggie burger is probably the best vegetarian burger I've ever had. I keep ordering this burger over and over-- the cabbage and spicy mayo on top are so good! I've also had the breakfast bowl and it's very filling and has a great combination of flavors. Everything always tastes very fresh and REAL, which is the most important thing to me if I'm going to eat food that I have not made myself.

Absolutely loved the salad I had from here today (the tataki one) and the inside is absolutely adorable. I'll also add that the folks working there were helpful and efficient, making it a welcome respite after a long morning of walking around.

This place is a true gem. So cute inside and an awesome healthy feeling but also hearty menu. We ordered: Mushroom Tartine - the bread was perfectly crisp and the flavors were all spot on. Fried Chicken Sandwich - perfect combo of sweet and salty with a nice crunch from the cabbage. Poke - I could eat this every day. Simple quinoa poke with great flavor. The seeds (sunflower and pumpkin I believe) were a great addition. "Breakfast Potatoes" - these are actually mini latkes in a dill sour cream sauce. Wayyyy better than breakfast potatoes. The icing on the cake for this place is the two guys who own it. Super welcoming and friendly. They make you feel right at home.

We had an amazing meal catered from Julian's that got us through our day of counting inventory. The chicken sandwiches were my favorites as well as the chocolate mousse deserts.Thank you Danny!

This place is absolutely incredible. They have a solid set of lunch options, with tartines and sandwiches and salads, and they also have some baked goods up at the counter. All the food was fresh, delicious, and quick. I had L'Avocat, and it was absolutely amazing. I was very pleasantly surprised. The coffee was excellent as well, thought i didn't manage to get a snap of either because i scarfed it down immediately. Both guys at the counter were friendly, kind, thoughtful and courteous. The place is very clean and the ambiance is lovely. Has free wifi. Very very cute modern place. Will be back often!!!

Sick service, the 2 owners are simply amazing! We both had amazing sandwich, I tried the fried chicken sandwich and I still crave for it. That place is a must!
