The physical space and menu underwent a revamp in 2017. Takeout orders can be placed online; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Nadia Chaudhury

July 2025 Finally got to try Juliet Italian Kitchen where did not know there was a North Austin location. This restaurant was classy with top notch service and the food was amazing. The decor was modern Italian. The menu had some great choices so for lunch selected the Pasta Primavera. It was an unexpected take on this dish where at first looked like three enchiladas but was pasta wrapped around wonderful filling that was mouth watering with nice flavor. The bread that was on top was the best I had in a while where was so soft and fluffy. I you are looking for a place for a romantic setting or business get-together then this place is perfect.

I thought the food was great!! All these bad reviews must be because those people love to complain. Our server Lora was truly incredible and super sweet, the food was good. I mean it was like Michelin star food, but for the price it was really damn good. To top it off the food was quick to come out.

Google
Great food! It's a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. It's perfect for family or business meals. Outside seating and plenty of space in the parking lot. The service is amazing!

Google
Good service, good atmosphere But their food, oh my sweet lord! The pizza, pasta, bruschetta- everything was just way too much tangy and zesty! The pizza was uncooked, my jaw hurt post chewing that food! If I am visiting Austin, never coming back here again.

Google
What is going on with this place? Every time I come here, the experience gets worse and worse. It got to the point where after our last visit, I told my partner no more. It’s a perfect example of a typical Austin business that is trying to scale up and just can’t. The menus are different at each location, the prices are different. The style of service and quality vary wildly. I heard the owners were trying to sell the business, maybe they’ve already franchised off some of the locations? It’s like the people in charge have just given up altogether and no one is flying the plane. It’s reflected down to the waiters and bar staff. I was meeting a friend for lunch today and she convinced me to give Juliet another try because the location was convenient. Okay fine. Then when we got there? CLOSED BY THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT. The restaurant failed its health inspection and forced them to close. Now I’m grossed out thinking about all the times I’ve eaten there wandering what nastiness I might have consumed. I used to hope this place would turn around, now I just hope they close quickly. Stay away!

Google
Beautiful atmosphere! Attended my niece's college graduation dinner at Juliet. Delicious. Table was ready and decorated beautifully ahead of our arrival. The restaurant even gave us 2 complimentary appetizers! The wait staff was superior and attentive. Very accommodating and even took several pictures outside for us. We will be back again!

Google
Juliet Italian Kitchen (Arboretum location) The experience was just all right. Surprisingly, there weren’t many vegetarian pasta options on the menu. We ordered the only vegetarian item available — it tasted good but felt like it could’ve been better. That said, the atmosphere was great. It’s located in the Arboretum shopping center, which is full of great clothing stores, art galleries, boba spots, sweet treat shops, and even a little observatory view and a bench — perfect for a quick, relaxing hour.

Google
Juliet is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in North Austin. The ambiance is stunning, creating the perfect setting for a great dining experience. The food and cocktails were equally impressive. We tried the white lasagna and mushroom manicotti, both were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. This place is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Italian cuisine!

Yelp
I met a business colleague for lunch at Juliet's Italian Kitchen in the Arboretum shopping center. The restaurant has traditional Italian food with an updated flare. We both ordered the Cesar salad. It was bit heavy on the Cesar dressing. I ordered chicken piccata (chicken breast with wine caper sauce), spinach and polenta and my colleague ordered mushroom manicotti. The manicotti came with Italian bread, which I am told was delicious. My chicken piccata was perfectly cooked...slight crisp on the outside and super tender inside. The spinach and polenta were equally good. While we did not have any drinks at lunch, you can see from the bar an extensive collection of spirits, and their wine room which had a broad selection of wine choices. Our server was helpful and attentive. Our food was delivered fast and steaming hot, which was greatly appreciated. Juliet's features both indoor and outdoor seating on its spacious patio. The vibe of the restaurant is modern sophistication. Whether you are coming for lunch or dinner meeting, date night, group meeting (enclosed portion of the restaurant) or a meet up, Juliet's excels in its Italian culinary skills, and distinctive service.

Yelp
Hey cousins lean in! I have visited this location twice this year. The first time was for a Valentines and the second was to celebrate a good friend's birthday. Reservations were quite easy. I came to the up app and follow the instructions. The option to sit outside on the patio with live jazz. Music was definitely going to be a vibe, so I made a reservation for four. Seating and reservations were quite accommodating One of the favorite items in this location are the photos on the wall and the beautiful glass wine cellar. I am not necessarily a wine person that knows anything other than the beauty of it. We did order a wine for my friends birthday, along with several hors d'oeuvres and individual plates. We listen to the jazz music, did a lot of catching up And bugged "Shay D" our waiter who took great care of us. When things aren't on the menu just know that you're at an Italian establishment and they can make it for you. At least that is the way our waiter made me feel. After helping in accommodating all of our request, our waiter brought out a nice dessert to celebrate our friends birthday. By this time, the jazz players had already left, and the restaurant on the patio area was pretty empty. We took an opportunity to do some photos, place some music, and just laugh and dance. my friend had an amazing time and our go bags were quite yummy. Thank you, Shay D for your assistance and helping us have a great celebration, and thank you Juliet for a great experience

Cristy S.

Yelp
We found this gem of a place today! Everything was on point from the service to the food! We plan on coming back tomorrow to listen to the live band which will add to the great atmosphere! We didn't leave without having a housemate dessert!

Yelp
I think I've reviewed this place before, but I was here on my own tonight and actually sat on the patio for the first time.Normally I sit at the bar. I called first because I wanted to make sure I could bring my pup and enjoy the experience together. Service was fabulous, good food and very relaxing. They immediately brought a bowl of water for my dog, which was a touch I always look for. It was not busy for some reason but the weather was spectacular. I ordered a dinner salad. Lightly dressed and very tasty. Next I asked for an accommodation by subbing shrimp on the scampi dish for salmon. No problem! The pasta was a but gummy and the sauce was quite oily but flavor was good. They served the dish with crusty house made foccacia! Yumm. My complaint would be for saucy dishes to have a different to leftover/to go container other than paper based so it isn't soggy or leaky. The bag was also paper...feel me?! I'll be back for the things they do right because those were done well.

Yelp
Visited here with a friend for happy hour and the food was great! The decor is beautiful and cozy making it nice to sit at the bar area or outdoors. Service was fast and friendly. Our food was flavorful and the charcuterie board was my favorite. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Came here for an event. I like the decor of the restaurant. Very elegant and upscale. The food however, was just alright. We had a butter lettuce salad, bruschetta, and meatballs for the appetizer. For the entree, I got the pan-seared salmon. And finally for dessert, we got cannolis, cheesecake, and tiramisu. The staff was attentive though.

Yelp
Nice ambiance. Average food. It's in walking distance of the Renaissance Austin Hotel.

Yelp
I'll be honest, I didn't go into Juliet Italian Kitchen with super high expectations, mainly because of its location in an area that seems catered to hotel guests. But wow, I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience! First off, service was quick and our waiter was fantastic -- super friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. The food? Delicious. I started with the Mozzarella-Stuffed Arancini as an appetizer, and let me tell you, it was soooo good. Crispy on the outside, cheesy goodness on the inside. I could've eaten a whole plate of them! For my main course, I had the Chicken Saltimbocca, and I scraped my plate clean. It was that good. My friend ordered the Italian Sausage & Cheese Ravioli, and they loved it too. The cocktails were great as well -- nice balance and paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, Juliet really exceeded my expectations. Delicious food, great cocktails, and excellent service. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Met a friend I haven't caught up with in a while for lunch here today. I haven't been in a while so we agreed it was a good location to meet. She had the Caesar salad and butternut squash soup. I had the butter lettuce salad with salmon, which is what I usually get when I go there. It's consistently good! I forgot to take photos of more than the bread this time. I noticed they switched up their dipping sauce for the bread from olive oil to something else, which was interesting with what I think were pieces of cucumber?

Yelp
I met up with girlfriends for a Sunday brunch that was fine, but nothing special. Despite several ingredients that should pop (e.g., caramelized onions, smoked cheddar), my breakfast pizza was shockingly bland. The only flavor was the heavy handed everything bagel seasoning on the crust. My meal wasn't offensive, but it wasn't good either. FWIW, one of my dining companions raved about the caponata on her egg platter and another remarked that her salmon was perfectly cooked. Perhaps I might return to try a few other dishes before ruling out Juliet altogether? On a positive note, our waiter was a delight, striking the perfect balance of engaging us without hovering.

Yelp
I came here with a group of 20 for a wine and dine experience. They have a private room off to the side for such groups which can be closed off to keep the noise out. This room has two flatscreen's on either side of the room and can seat about 30 people. It can also be bisected into two separate rooms. The only problem is that the room gets pretty warm quickly and there are no ceiling fans. The restaurant itself has a nice open feel to it and there's a nice covered outside dining area. We did not have a sitdown dinner so they brought out numerous appetizers instead. About half the appetizers were basically untouched, but the pepperoni pizza was devoured and never replaced. The service was decent, but the apps didn't hit the table until half an hour past the starting time. We had a good time and I'd probably come back another day to try some meals from the menu. Apps***, service 4*, overall 31/2*.

Yelp
Finally got to try Juliet Kitchen with a friend for dinner! It's located in the arboretum with other stores and restaurants so there's plenty of parking around. A lovely restaurant, with beautiful decor. A nice place for a meal with a friend or a special occasion! They serve bread with pepper, olive oil, and salami (I think). Which was a nice starter. The staff was very friendly. Plenty of services on the floor, refilling drinks, and clearing away any dishes. I got rigatoni pasta and added shrimp. It was pretty tasty, I think it could've had a bit more flavor, but overall it was a good meal. They have a good wine selection as well!

Yelp
We were a party of 5. We arrived at 12:30pm on a Sunday and were seated right away. The service was friendly and fast. Generous portions from the salads to the lasagna. Everyone was happy at the end of our meal.

Yelp
Went for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Space is beautifully decorated and they have a large outdoor patio as well. The weather was nice and so the doors were open so it gave it an indoor/outdoor feel. Sat at high tops in the bar area- our server was quick and attentive. They have wine flights and an overall large wine selection. Lunch special was an app and entree for $19 or a sandwich and salad. Ordered the bruschetta and sausage spinach pizza and the caprese sandwich with Caesar salad. Everything was yummy but the star of the show was the pizza. The rich cream sauce with the spice of the sausage and the spinach went so well together. Overall great lunch spot with a variety of items to choose from.
google avatar

Yelp
Went to Juliet Italian Kitchen in The Arborteum and enjoyed the evening and the atmosphere, the food didn't wow me, though. Started with the caprese bruschetta and risotto/gorgonzola balls (don't remember the name) as apps. They were pretty good but the bruschetta had too much pesto. The entree was the Italian Sausage Ravioli which I enjoyed, it just came out in less than 5 min from ordering which was surprising. Finished the meal with some cannolis. Great wine selection here.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Yesterday we went for dinner. The ambiance and service attention were fine. Regrettably some of dinners were of poor quality. To start, we each had Caesar salads where the lettuce was old and very dry, and the croutons were stale. My entree, the red fish, was below par. The fish itself had little flavor, and the bed of risotto tasted as if mixed/heated in the microwave. My cocktail had no special flavor to it.
google avatar

Greg B.

Yelp
This is a great place to grab a yummy bowl of Bolognese before a Zach play! Place is always bustling. Great location and friendly staff.
google avatar

Aus-Tex B C.

Yelp
Had high hopes for this place, our server was great and helpful. Ordered the chicken parm and the presentation was good, but the chicken was overcooked & tough and dry, the spaghetti was mushy and not al dente as normal Italian restaurants. My wife ordered the tenderloin and from all looks of it was appetizing, it was very tasty but it looked like a filet put together with meat glue. I hope I'm wrong but that dish did taste good. The fingerling potatoes were good but the broccolini was undercooked and tough. For the money I would go rise where for Italian.
google avatar

Susan L.

Yelp
This restaurant is boring. It's a chain. I only went because I was at a meeting. Someone else picked it because she likes the MALL, and she paid. We were in a weird back room with two tvs and a long table. The food was boring - mediocre "Italian American." The good news is that my gluten free friend could find enough to eat. The staff was fine. It was clean. If you must go, it's fine. It could be in any town in America. Meh.

Ella A.

Yelp
First time at this location and it is lovely. The mocktail and the Malbec were both wonderful. We ordered the rigatoni in vodka sauce and the bolognese spaghetti. Both were very good. Lovely server.
google avatar

Ray T.

Yelp
Eaten here a couple times now. One for lunch and once for dinner and we really love everything about this place! The service, food and ambiance is all excellent! I cannot express how great, fresh and inventive their dishes are. Simply the best!

Yelp
Me and my husband were visiting Austin and needed a place to get dinner. We stumbled upon Juliet & I just gotta say, they have some pretty good Italian food. The interior gave off a fancy vibe. Service was good! Our server was very friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
Great Italian .food, ambience and excellent service would recommend this to anybody in the Austin area. Worth the drive.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
We came to celebrate a birthday and looked forward to the meal for 5 days. Ordered appetizer meatball. It came out meh. Was not pipping hot, it was lukewarm. Ordered spaghetti bolognese and that was too much tomato sauce base. The only good was their Tiramisu which was a generous portion. All in all I don't recommend for the food choices I made. I won't be going back.
google avatar

Neil O.

Yelp
This was a great dining experience for a nice & easy Italian cuisine date night and a truly great deal for cost vs. quality/quantity. Our bill including a few glasses of wine was only a bit over $100 for the two of us and we both left feeling incredibly full. Food was great all around and our server was very attentive.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
I've been wanting to check this place out because I've heard great reviews. I made a reservation and was able to get seated pretty quickly. They brought some bread but it was only two slice which is fine since there was only two of us. I do wish we got more bread though. We ordered the bruschetta and that was yummy. I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni alla Vodka and while I don't like vodka sauce, this was delicious! I love red sauce pastas though so I am biased. The sauce wasn't too overpowering and mixed with freshly grated Parmesan cheese was lovely. Staff were friendly and I definitely would come back!

Scott W.

Yelp
This review is not about the food because we never got a chance to taste it, this is about the service. My wife and I tried to have lunch there today. My wife is blind and partnered with her fifth Seeing Eye Dog. We came in the door with her current German Shepherd. Things went downhill from there. They first tried to seat us in the outside patio area;when we made it clear that this was a professional service dog, they tried to seat us in the bar area away from the other patrons. When we pointed it out that that would be a bit uncomfortable, they shrugged and said sorry that's the way it is. The place was only about half full, so there were plenty of regular tables available. When we pointed out that this was not in the spirit of federal law that didn't seem to make any difference, I don't think they understood how serious this was. Their management and employees need better training on legalities and proper procedures for service animals. We will not be eating there again, and rest assured our other Italian food eating family and friends will not either.
google avatar

Natasha S.

Yelp
Service was slow but good, pasta was pretty good. The restaurant is a bit loud and service could be more timely. Drinks were good as well, try the limoncello mule.
google avatar

Charlie D.

Yelp
Assholes with an attitude. Hostess fiddled with her display for five minutes before she decided that she could seat us for lunch, but the restaurant was mostly empty! And it didn't get better. Once seated, I observed that other tables had bread baskets and oil. I signaled a buss person to ask for bread and got a look of pure hatred from her. She responded with "Spanish only" in perfect, unaccepted English. Once the waiter came, things improved. Order was taken, bread delivered, beer arrived and was happy. Lunch was served and it was not great but good, and plentiful. Ambiance is okay, but very noisy, and flying insects galore.
google avatar

Sara O.

Yelp
The fresh mozzarella was a bust. Not fresh, not great, but the kids don't know the difference and they ate it, but I wasn't into it. My meal was good, mushroom manicotti, yummy! My husband enjoyed his Alfredo. Brussels were perfect! My mule was great, we really enjoyed this place and will be back!
google avatar

Diane L.

Yelp
Food is amazing. I think they still have growing pains because they are very busy. I wouldn't take a large party. Its a tight fit. Be sure to reserve table ahead.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in North Austin. Their seasonal drinks never disappoint. And the food is all delicious. The sausage ravioli is my favorite. All of the app options are delicious and make great shareables. I've never had a bad service experience and love the beautiful modern decor.
google avatar

Halie R.

Yelp
We went to Juliet's Kitchen for my sisters bachelorette dinner. We called ahead to see how long the wait was and were able to be seated immediately upon arrival. Although the staff mentioned they were short we never received any lack of service. The waiters were super attentive. Would definitely recommend!!
google avatar

Karla F.

Yelp
Such a cute place! We felt very fancy dining here for our girls nights! We had two of the cocktails that were delicious! I ordered the sausage mushroom pepperoni pizza, which was actually really good. The crust was nice and crunchy with a good flavor. My friend got the chicken piccata, which was delicious! The chicken was moist and the polenta with spinach was so fresh and lemony! The service was great and very courteous. Overall, would definitely come back, and next time try the pasta!
google avatar

Steffie S.

Yelp
I have a fondness for this place because I used to be a regular patron before movie dates with my good friend when it was Brio's. I also met my longtime guy here for our first date. Enough, reminiscing... I like the bar area. It's pretty with nice light from the open patio area. The service is always very good. The cocktails are better than the food. A nice place for appetizers and a couple drinks. Enjoy. I'm
google avatar

Maggie L.

Yelp
We were there a few weeks ago and the service was very slow. The waiter was struggling to keep up. We never got our drink order to go with our dinner and the fries that came with the steak were so salty they were inedible.
google avatar

Paula L.

Yelp
Had to downgrade my review after several more visits. Service just wasn't great. They keep seating me and my family outside in the patio regardless of whether it was hot or cold. I think it's because we came with kids. Food is also a hit or miss. I find the lunch service to be better. Probably won't come back for dinner anymore.
google avatar

Christine A.

Yelp
Wonderful service, great menu and cozy atmosphere. Enjoyed a delicious plate of Chicken Piccata. A lovely fresh salad of tomatoes and lettuce and a glass of white wine. Will go back soon as I noticed many yummy dishes I want to try. We selected the Barton Springs location. Easy parking.

Yelp
Came here to eat with my friend and his husband for a birthday celebration and had an awesome time amongst friends! The vibe is good for any special occasion! The food and drinks were so good I forgot to take pictures of them BUT I highly recommend the drinks that I did post along with the Midnight Stroll...top notch drinks! The favorite at the table that night was the Frosé, like I'm sure at least 10 were ordered (within our party of 7)! For apps we tried the calamari and arancini! Definitely yummy I ordered the Italian farmhouse salad and it was soooooooo GOOD!!! My husband ordered the chicken piccata and it was so hard not to pick off his plate! Finally the waitress was absolutely awesome! I believe their name was Brittney (sorry if misspelled) but the service was top tier! Britt was super patient with us and had such a cool vibe, made the night that much better!
google avatar

Lavinia D.

Yelp
Came here with a coworker the other day for lunch and really enjoyed my experience! I thought that the service was great and the ambience was also really nice. Food came quickly and was very good! Portions were large so we were able to share two appetizers in an entrée and were absolutely stuffed. Highly recommend the Gorgonzola arancini and the pappradelle pasta

Yelp
Second time visiting Juliet Italian Kitchen chain, first time at this location, and both times are amazing. The number one dish is Mushroom Manicotti. The pesto cream sauce is perfect. It's not too rich. It's balance in texture and flavor. Pan-seared Flounder: everything is just enough on this dish. The rice, green bean and the flounder, no more or less. I'll be back for sure.

Ryan P.

Yelp
Rude & slow service. The waitress actually threatened my wife. I'm sure the other staff is good and she was just having a bad day. I've never written a review in my life, that's how bad it was. Just be carful when going to this restaurant there is a very unstable waitress there. It took her 7 minutes to greet our table. I know because she told me. She didn't think 7 minutes was very long time wait to get greeted at your table. As far as I can tell, she had one other table. We are not the complaining type we just quietly got up to leave, she approached us at the door, she asked why we're leaving and we told her why. She slammed the large glass door behind us and flipped us off. (It was quite the show ) Didn't even bother to talk to a manager, we couldn't get out of there fast enough. Never tried the food Never even got to try the food.

Yelp
My fiancé and I had never tried Juliet, but a few months ago, I decided to surprise him with a reservation. We were seated fairly quickly at a high top table near the bar. It was prime people watching seating. We went in the early evening, so there were loads of families dining, as well. Our server was kind and understanding of all my allergies and dietary restrictions, and was able to suggest some really amazing drinks for my partner and I both to enjoy. We ordered their special as an appetizer and holy moly, it was incredible. It had this sweet potato purée that was absolutely to die for. As far as main courses went, my fiancé had a better meal than I did. I ordered a gluten free pasta with bolognese sauce. The sauce was great, but the pasta was wildly undercooked. Not al dente, but much harder. I let my partner finish them. He'll eat anything. This meant I also had extra room left for dessert. We ordered this cookies and cream ice cream cake that the server suggested and holy god, it was my favorite part. In all, it was a great experience, and I'm definitely willing to go back and try the pasta again to see if it is better a different time.

Yelp
I was invited to a nice happy hour, and I have to say it turned out great. Service: I was greeted the moment I stepped into this establishment. It looked very clean, and it was not loud or crowded during this time (5p). My waiter greeted me and was willing to assist with any request I may have had. In addition, provided courtesy while hanging out with my guest by not continuously felt like customer and not a dollar to make. Provided suggestions with items that were offered during happy hour. Last, the staff was willing to assist with items on the menu as well. Food: There were some great options to choose from off the menu. In addition, my pasta option tasted fresh, and it was a nice portion size as well. My drink was great and made to order. Overall: I had to give it 5 stars for the parking outside. Cars are parked too close as the same effort is being applied for the tables inside the establishment. The tables are too close as I kept getting bumped by the customer that was sitting behind me and when the waiter would try to squeeze in between the tables. Unfortunately, the butt on the waiter seem like it was on my table and food while they were trying to take the orders of the customers next to me. Finally, I wouldn't mind trying them again but hope this time I would be sitting in a more spacious area.

Yelp
First time in and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food. We sat at the bar and Kimberly is fantastic, she was very attentive, personable. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
I been coming to this places since they open. Today I decided to go for Brunch. It was not busy at all but sadly my order was terrible. Not only cold but the croissant tasted freezer burned. I have never like to complain or send my order back, you never know what could happen in the kitchen with a return meal. My waiter only came to the table to take the order and bring the check.

Yelp
The bar is a nice place to wait for your table. Bartenders are friendly and the drinks are delicious. Everything our table had tasted great and portions are satisfying. Good wines and service too.
