Pistachio yuzu cake, espresso hollandaise, creative brunch
"Juliet's is only open until 3pm in the week, so best for early birds. This Tooting cafe serves a smoked pumpkin omelette with a massive whack of lemon salmoriglio, plus an excellent anzac cookie. At peak times it’s good form to sit at the big communal table. Best for: Solo work, breakfast meeting" - jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, sinead cranna
"No dough is safe from birthday cake flavouring and no baked good is above having an entire Kinder Bueno shoved into it. So it’s nice to find simple and outstanding cookies like the ones at Juliet’s Quality Foods in Tooting. The anzac is our favourite. It’s a cookie with notions of health (oats) but loaded with butter, coconut, and golden syrup. The dark chocolate with gooey marshmallow is also a not-too-sweet masterclass." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, sinead cranna
"On a busy stretch of high street in Tooting, this egg innovator looks pretty similar to countless other cool coffee spots in London, but at Juliet’s, flavour comes first. The hollandaise is infused with espresso, smashed avocado gets a toe-tapping, zingy kasundi treatment, and the signature housemade cornbread is a carbohydrate trampoline set for hand-churned butter playtime. And if you ever thought you were incapable of slow-clapping for a tonka bean caramel-topped freddo cappuccino, think again." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"Juliet’s is an exceptional brunch spot that makes us desperate for a condiment WikiLeaks so we can find out exactly what’s in their 10/10 hangover sauce. It’s on a busy stretch in Tooting, and you can expect big, balanced flavours, top-quality produce, and a sensational pork patty bun. The casual, bright space is walk-in-only so you should know about the hush-hush terrace out back." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"Home to a pistachio and yuzu icing cake we’re 100% obsessed with, this Tooting cafe is one of the best spots for brunch in London. And it also serves coffee and an iced latte out of a glass bottle, all of which you can enjoy in their sunny backyard terrazzo." - rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
