Where to Eat Fondue and Other Swiss Food in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"While a few places on this map offer chocolate-based dessert fondue, this local chain is probably your best bet if you have a hankering for it. It comes with an array of fruit, waffles, and marshmallows for dipping, and you can choose which high-quality chocolate the fondue is made with." - Holly Tousignant

Ordered with the 2 for 1 sale on uber eats. At $14.99 for both its about the right price. And the ice cream is good. It's pretty much mostly good vanilla ice cream with some caramel on top. But at $14.99 for only 1, I don't think so.

Google
Beautiful place to get your delicious sweet deserts but also very good meals. They have beers, coffee, juices, smoothies, it's a very well rounded place to get together with friends and family.

went there for brunch 2 days in a row, amazing crepes, lots of choices!

Desserts are good but overpriced. I don't think it was worth it. My favorite was the chocolate cookie.

The desserts we ordered were delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful. They seemed to be a little understaffed, but we didn't wait long and had a lovely, unhurried visit.

I recently stopped by Juliette and Chocolat in Little Italy for a coffee with a brownie and cookie. Both treats were delicious—crunchy, fresh, and perfectly paired with the coffee. The service was professional and friendly, making for an all-around great experience. Highly recommend for a sweet treat in the area!

I recently visited Juliette & Chocolate at 196 Rue Jean-Talon E, Montreal, Quebec, H2R 1S7, and had an amazing experience! We tried the Granny Cookie, Juliett’s Tiramisu, Cheesecake Brownie, and a Latte. The Granny Cookie was absolutely fantastic, and the taste keeps me longing for it every day. Juliett’s Tiramisu was incredibly delicious, definitely a highlight of our visit. The Cheesecake Brownie, while flavorful, had a slight tanginess and was a bit too heavy for me, so I couldn't finish it. The Latte was also delightful. The atmosphere was cozy and beautifully designed, making our visit even more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful place with delicious treats and a great ambiance. Highly recommend it!

Google
A very classic dessert place in Montreal and a paradise for chocolate lovers. I've heard some complaints about not being what it used to be, but it's still a sweet spot (pun intended) in the city. Service can get slow sometimes and not a good atmosphere when it's fully packed. I just wish they'd have some salty options for those not in love with chocolate.

Yelp
After visiting Marche Jean Talon (Jean Talon Market), my husband and I decided to stop by this dessert place. We entered from the back entrance and were greeted by the employee behind the counter at the front. We ended up ordering the following: Le Dome Mangue-Coco, $7.99 prior to tax- This dessert has a nice smooth chocolate mousse inside, with a nice mango dome on the outside. It was delicious and the size was perfect for 2. Creme Brulee Blondie Brownie, $6.69 prior to tax- This brownie was very nice, especially with the brunt top. The employee placed the brownie on a place from the display case. She then placed a little bit of sugar on top and then torched it before putting it in a to go box for us. The top layer of the brownie is custard like (like creme brulee) and the bottom was a nice chocolate brownie that you would be familiar with. The combination of the 2 really goes well together and makes me want to try to recreate this brownie on my own. ------------------------------- (Total= $16.96 after tax) Wait time wasn't too long and service was friendly. The employee who helped us spoke both French and English. There is seating inside if you wish to dine in. We parked outside, in front of the front entrance (which is metered parking). I wouldn't mind visiting this location again if I was in this area again.

Yelp
Loved the nutella crepes! Very slow service. It's cool to see the cooks making the crepes. I don't recommend the hot chocolate

Yelp
Initially we were placed by a nice girl to our table. This is the smallest Juliette et Chocolat branch I ever seen. It's cute though. The menu is super extensive. Next, this is where I had to remove the stars. Service by Audrey was very abrasive. We were speechless. I am not even sure what was the problem? I guess she wanted us to just order with questioning anything. I asked for café au lait. My parents asked for regular coffee. My sister asked for ice coffee which comes with ice cream on top, and she didn't want the ice cream. Audrey, the waitress, is arguing with her with tons of attitude that it will be the same price so take the ice cream. So my dad told her, can you put the ice cream on the side in bowl then. She rolled her eyes and she said whatever. She brought our drinks; she gives my drink over my dad, and tells here is your latte. I tell her that I asked for café au lait. She rolls her eyes again, and tells me it's the same thing. I wanted to scream at her, but didn't because our food haven't arrived yet, and you know ... what if she does something to our food. My mom and dad didn't get the milk for their coffees, so we asked another waitress for milk. Her name is Melodie, thank god she was nice, and thank god, afterwards she took over. We haven't seen Audrey afterwards. Then we shared a mix of fruits and delights with fondue. We got Juliette et Chocolat fondue. It is a mix of bananas, strawberries, waffles, marshmallows and brownies with three different (dark, milk and white) chocolate fondue. Despite the rocky start, our drinks and our food were delicious.

Yelp
My first time at Juliette et Chocolat did not disappoint! I came here with some friends looking for a sweet post-exam snack. I ordered the Viennois hot chocolate with a tuxedo crepe. The hot chocolate is one of the best I've ever had - rich and creamy and very chocolatey. Although the crepe isn't the most photogenic thing on the menu, what it lacks in looks it makes up for in taste. It was topped with a cheesecake flavoured drizzle, brownie bits and chocolate pebbles. On top of that, the service was great, they had a nice holiday-themed decor and cozy atmosphere. Only downside is that it's a bit pricy. However I will definitely be back to try one of their delicious looking brownies!

Yelp
fondue and molten lava cake... what more is there to say?! many options for chocolate fondue (white, 33% 50% 66%), fresh fruit and a deep, rich chocolate cake. The cake was a little too dense for me and the chocolate to fruit ratio was a little off (had to secretly dip some strawberries from the market across the street to use up the chocolate!) Prices were a little on the expensive side ($9 for lava cake and $14 for the fondue set).

Yelp
Honestly the girl in the front was very nice and that's the only reason why this place is getting a one star. My hot chocolate was luke warm and my waffles were old and hard, probably heated up in the toaster oven when I said that, the gave me the back the exact same ones just a lil more toasted and browner. Dont be fooled by how it looks, it does not taste good at all and the waitress just confirmed to me that they receive frozen waffles.

Yelp
Went with my visiting family members to have brunch. I got the blueberry cheesecake waffles. The waffle was a little over cooked but the topping was tasty. I also had the mango sun to drink which was really tasty. I had the fleur de sel brownie which was the right amount of moist. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes.

Yelp
Enjoyed this place. Shared a combo with my daughter (one savoury and one sweet crepe). For an extra few bucks, we upgraded the chocolate crepe with loads of marshmallows and whipped cream - yum!!! Price was very reasonable, service was extremely friendly, and - most importantly - the food was good. Nice place to relax in on a Sunday morning visit to the Jean Talon - especially when your kid isn't feeling adventurous on the food front!

Yelp
All the coffee shops in the area were filled to capacity. Popped in for coffee and crepe. Cost over$20. Very expensive.

Yelp
It's a beautiful place, the chocolate is good but I think it was a different place like a machine

Yelp
Wow I can't believe the rude treatment we had our small children with us and they had no children's menu so even though we bought a large order for five people and my wife got the children some ham and bread from the market this rude server Ingrid told us our children couldn't sit and eat their bread and ham at the table because it wasn't from the restaurant. I am appalled at this treatment and would never recommend this place to anyone not to mention the food was mediocre and again the service abismal

Yelp
Great food and drink. Lots of great options but the service wasn't great. Very cozy inside though, and great outdoor seating. It is a great place for a snack or a drink or a quick snack after the farmers market!
