The 30 Best Restaurants in Munich, Germany | Eater

"Featured on menus across Munich, young baker Julius Brantner is ingrained in the local restaurant scene thanks to his sterling sourdough. With a contemporary design and just a few products on display, his two bakeries look nothing like most others in the city. Head over for the organic rye bread with fermented apples, but arrive early if you want to try the daily specials; the cinnamon buns and almond croissants sell out especially quickly. Julius can often be spotted out back, kneading dough, folding pastry, or checking the ovens." - Kate Mann

Favorite bakery in Munich hands down. I went today to get my typical Saturday order and was surprised by a new item- olive and feta sourdough that was INCREDIBLE! 🤤

This is the best sourdough bread I’ve ever had! The quality and taste are exceptional. It stays fresh for at least three days, maintaining its moist and tender interior without drying out!!

It’s good, but there are only roll bread and plain croissants available. A store like this in Munich should offer a variety of products for tourists.

A destination for bread lovers in Munich. I love how it marries the Copenhagen bakery model with a distinctly German sensibility - focusing on high quality bread. As someone with the sweet tooth, the cardamom bun was incredible, one of the best I’ve ever had.

Really pleasant front of store staff, great quality baked goods. They sell seasonal stuff, and specials on certain days which makes it more exciting. Their Pistachio croissants, Easter breads, saffron cardamom buns and other pastries that I've tried have all been very good!

I went here to get bread on a Saturday morning while visiting Munich and when I arrived, the line was at least 10 people deep - which is always a good sign! I ended up getting an apple loaf of some sort and it was absolutely delicious! I am honestly sad I didn’t get the bigger loaf to take back home with me. I also got a brezel, which was soft and super fresh. The woman that assisted me was helpful and explained all the bread to me and spoke in English to accommodate me. Definitely recommend this place!

Bought today a classic sourdough which is uncooked in the middle, very sticky and sticks to the knife. This should not happen for 10€ a bread. Long queue but it went by quite fast, still 10 mins tho. The bakery looks good but all in all my experience was not very pleasant and I can’t say I would recommend it.
