Solid traditional Korean food, large menu and well made. Korean fried chicken was very tumeric forward but the batter was crispy and delicious and with the sauce it was great. Kimbap with the bulgogi was some of the best we've had, and the Korean Hot Dog (corn dog) was a neat treat we've been looking to try. Portions were big and reasonably priced for the size.

I’m a novice at Korean cuisine and a vegetarian. So it was a delight to find a restaurant where the staff could actually identify dishes that were vegetarian and even vegan. I had Jajangmyeon with a rolled omelette as a side and tteokbokki. All were superb. Better than anything I ate at Korean restaurants in the DC area. Thank you for bringing another superb international experience to Evansville!

Ok this was my first time here and I will most definitely return. The food here is just delicious. The folks working in here which I assume are owners were awesome with their customer service. She made great menu recommendations that were spot on. This place is easy to find using Google Maps. There is plenty of free parking.

The food is fresh and delicious. The rice was soft and pillowy. The dining area is very clean. I enjoyed talking with the owner who even gave me recommendations on what to order :)

This is a place where customers order at the front then go get their food when it is freshly cooked and number is called. Update 4/2/25 I’ve been three more times. Once, the waiter was rude and had he been the one I saw first m, I wouldn’t be back. Then I went again and it was fine. Not super friendly but who cares. Food was delicious. I really enjoy the fried cheese logs.

We have been to jumak several times. Most of the time we dine in. Today was different as we ordered carryout. We ordered Korean BBQ fried chicken with 1 side. We didn't receive the side nor sauce on the chicken. We were told there was a 30 minute wait but waited over an hour. They weren't busy at the time. There were 4 people eating in the restaurant. I'm not sure if we will be back at this point. A 25 minute drive home does not end well when discovering half your order is incorrect and missing. I do take partial responsibility for not pulling everything out of the bag and thoroughly checking it. Technically I shouldn't have to. Especially after spending $40 for 2 items.

-You will pay more than the menu price if you use a credit card (not sure if you pay less with cash) -Tap water is not free My girlfriend and I were very excited to eat here as we had heard a lot about it and read a lot of reviews, so we drove 45 minutes from Owensboro, KY to check it out. The restaurant is very clean. There isn’t music but they did have what looked to be a Korean soap opera on the tv. If aren’t familiar with Korean food like we weren’t, well, good luck. The virtual menu on the back wall has pictures, but there aren’t any paper menus to describe what it actually is that you’re ordering nor does the guy at the counter really help, so we just picked stuff and hoped for the best. The prices seem reasonable. I will say the food was hot, fresh, and appeared very authentic. The flavors are similar but different in comparison to Chinese and Japanese food; I honestly don’t know how to explain it exactly. The Korean corn dog has sugar on it; I dno. The spicy cucumbers were neat. Apart from that, the gentleman started putting the chairs up and turned off the open sign 49 minutes before they were supposed to close…while we were still eating (only ones there), so that was off-putting. Also, I guess it’s just a lady and her husband that work there; she makes the food and he runs the register. The guy is not nice or friendly at all and even after we told him it was our first time he didn’t really help us with ordering; the whole atmosphere and vibe was extremely off-putting. If you like Korean food and want to order it to-go, this is probably a good spot; just make sure to bring cash and don’t stay too long.

Coming out of Yelp retirement to leave a review for Jumak. This place is amazing and affordable. The fried chicken changed my life and the japchae nearly did the same. Literally drove over an hour to come back!

10/10 experience ! Everything was made extremely fresh and you can tell they really care about the quality of their food. It was my first time trying a Korean corn dog and I absolutely loved it. The sweet potato noodles were great and so were the vegetable dumplings. The owner is really nice, he takes pride in his business and it shows ! The place is nice and clean too, they even serve Korean wine , they have a large selection. I will definitely be back

Food tasted amazing, will definitely be coming back. Service was great and a good smaller sized ambiance. Wait time for food was about 10 minutes. I highly recommend the Korean BBQ - very big portion for a small!

I'm a big fan of Korean food so I was happy to see this go in at the former Oasis restaurant location. The guy at the counter was super friendly, I think his name was Mike. The food is made to order, so don't expect it to be out quick, But when you get your order it's hot, looks brilliant, and you can tell they care about their customers. Just a wonderful new Korean restaurant. So, it is kind of an Oasis in the middle of a restaurant desert . Definitely worth more visits.

Half Korean here... this place is absolutely legit. Will be back weekly. The tall guy, Mike, he isn't an asshole.. promise.. thats what we thought at first but he is really a great guy. So this place gets an all around 100% from me.

Being Korean food lovers, we were quite excited to dine at Jumak. We came in with visions of spicy pork dancing in our heads. Upon arrival, we were given the stink-eye by the man behind the counter. He was somewhat surly with us. Not off to a good start. As the meals came out from the kitchen, he would yell either the name of the dish, or a ticket number. We had to walk back up to the counter to get our food. Our meals were hot and fresh from the kitchen. We all were able to share our generous portions, and had enough for leftovers as well. Of note was the Kimchee rice, very tasty and satisfying. The pork belly and spicy pork were very good, and came with a nice platter of fresh crisp lettuce, onion, and hot peppers to make wraps. There are no sauces at the tables, so we had to walk back up and ask the man for sauces. At the end of our meal, we had to bus our own table. The saving grace to our experience was the sweet lady, who we assumed was the cook. She was so kind, and asked us how everything was. She genuinely wanted to make sure we enjoyed our food, and we did. If you love Korean cuisine, and don't mind getting your steps in, I would recommend Jumak. Many thanks to the kind lady. 5 star food, 2 star counter service.

I am NEVER disappointed when I come to Jumak. The owners are so friendly and are extremely helpful if you have any questions about the dishes! The food is always delicious and consistent.

Cannot order online for pickup. Male staff was rude over the phone. Korean fried chicken was boneless and I'm not a fan of that. The spicy cucumber was great 8/10. I like that rice comes with the meal too. I wouldn't go back for the chicken but might try a bowl next time.

I lived for years in South Korea, while in the Navy and let me tell you: this is the first place in the area that clearly understands Korean fried chicken at a high level. Not only is fried with such a deft hand that I have to assume that they've made my multiple trips to this establishment on point every time but if you get it sauced: chicken is juicy and well fried the you're going to get a second threat to the front of your shirt. Service is solid and it's the only place I have ever seen where they make a mistake and the chef comes out to apologize (like, you just accidentally packaged my food for takeaway instead of dine in, it's gonnna be okay).

Found out on my next visit that they DO offer a sizzling plate bibimbop - I missed it on the menu. Why are you waiting? Go get some NOW!

Ordered the bibimbap and beef mandu. Both were very good. Will definitely return! Looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu.

Amazing food. Great people running the place. Mike took our order and was really nice and gave us great recommendations. A lady came out of the kitchen (I believe the owner) and asked how we liked the food and was extremely nice as well. The Korean Fried chicken confirmed that Korea does Fried Chicken better than Colonel Sanders. Corndog half and half rolled in potatoes and cinnamon sugar is a delicacy. We will be back.

Fast service, I tried the ramen with beef bulgogi and a side of kimchi. The broth is very flavorful and the beef was delicious. The egg in the ramen was empty but that's not a problem for me. The ramen texture was not my favorite but again, the broth made up for this. The kimchi was standard kimchi. I didn't try the Korean corndogs, but they look worth a try!

This is a gem of a restaurant! The K dogs are fun and delicious. The Korean fried chicken plain with sauce on the side is probably currently the best fried chicken in Evansville. The meat is succulent and the coating is extra crispy, yet not greasy. And it's boneless! The sticky rice is perfect. The ramen is very generous, but a bit too spicy for me, but still good. The pickled radish is tangy and crunchy goodness. Do yourself a favor and visit!

We love this place! Prices are decent, but the food is always fantastic. Their Korean corn dogs are a must to get and their Korean fried chicken is so flavorful and good. They recently added more to their menu so I'm excited to try more! The service is always quick, so the wait isn't super long if you order it to go. The place is always clean and the staff is super friendly.

Nice little spot for Korean fried Chicken. Their bulgogi is good and so is there kimchi. I try something different every time because I haven't had anything bad yet. Prices are reasonable and the guy taking the order is always real nice. I can't wait to go back and try something else

tteogbokk-i is 2 out of 10. As 100% Korean,this is shameful. Not even close to real one I used to eat after elementary school. Chili paste drenched and flour cake not the rice. You can do better. Corn dog 5/10 at least this one is edible but flour is slightly uncooked and again, not even close to standard. Cupbab is just leftover garbage they prepped overnight and reused. Kimbab 3/10 how the f can you drench the kimban with so much sesame oil! ? No wonder 2 third of Americans are fat If you want to feed American people then, do the freaking job right.

I came months place with my wife and 7byear old son. There was an older man I'm assuming the same from the other reviews who was behind the counter working. He was berating and arguing with two women who order prior to us while we stood there. When it was our turn I questioned something that was on the menu. He appeared to be very angry and under t he influence of something in my onion and his response with my wife and child standing there. Was to begin yelling that he was sick of everyone's $#it and if I didn't understand rhe menu get the $#ck out of his restaurant. This place This man needs help....

when I was ordering my food on feb. 3rd a guy was taking my order- he had a red sweatshirt on and hat he was also white- and once I told him what I wanted he said first of all I can't even hear what you said and is it to go or for here. I literally couldn't even hear him so why was he yelling at me.
