This place is awesome! Reminds me of real NY pizza - doughy and greasy and cheesy and delicious! You basically have to stand to eat, just a few chairs here and there, but it’s not a big deal. Service is great and quick too!

If you are not going to serve hot cheesy pizza then close down. You should not charge $10 for a premade Luke warm pizza in a box and a hot can soda. This is the worse pizza ever!!! I say close down or get new management, renovate, do something because the name on the door is very misleading. When I think of a jumbo slice I assume it is going to be piping hot and gooey cheese I could pull off the top…. In the middle of Adams Morgan after a good party who doesn’t like a hot slice of pizza too bad this place missed the mark.

This place is awful. Bought 4 slices of pizza tonight and opened one box to find someone’s broken glasses in the box with the pizza. Disgusting!! I called and the woman who runs the shop said “sorry what you want me to do about that” with total attitude and then hung up the phone. I was getting pizza here frequently but if that’s how you treat your customers, you just lost one.

Was on the 90's Hip Hop U St Bar Crawl this weekend on U St this weekend and this was absolutely 1 of the many BEST stops on the Crawl!!!! A Pizza Pit Stop. Mad I couldn't take it all with me because the slice was super huge. The pizza tasted great and was cheesy and gooey. 😆

The pizza itself was very good. I couldn't give 5 stars because no hand sanitizer was available and not restroom to wash my hands before eating. When you walk up, you may question if the place is even open at first sight but once you order and bite into the pizza, you'll be glad you came. I will come back next time I'm in D.C.

The pizza was so good, the slice was bigger than my head. Perfect place to go when your having fun in Adam's morgan or need late night eats! There is no. seating inside but a little outside. They give you a pizza box for your one slice which is so nice so you dont get oil everywhere on you. Slice will run you about $8

Nothing better than the hottest, cheesiest, pepperoni pizza after one a long day, and even longer night dancing and drinking in the District area. Hung out in DC for a few days. On this night had a few dranks and needed something to soak it all up with. It was a late Sunday night and most places were either closed or to far from our location. So we walked over to Jumbo and ordered a couple of slices of pizza. The place was quiet so not wait. We placed out order and waited about 20 minutes with NO idea what to expect. My mind said a measly slice of burnt paper with a dash of cheese and sever heart burn. but to my suprise...it was sooooo the opposite (gooey, hot, cheesy, pepperoni) and BOY did this place not disappoint! And the staff was very nice. I would highly recommend this spot if you're in the area and want some drunk night goodness.

The name says it all, this place sells jumbo slices of pizza that are twice as large as your head. It's pretty much the perfect late night drunk food. We came here around 2 AM and they were out of any slices that had veggies on them. I guess if you're out that late, it's not worth trying to be too healthy right? We got the meat slice (ham, sausage, and pepperoni) instead and it hit the spot. The pizza itself is definitely not the best -- it's pretty rubbery and difficult to eat by picking it up. We had to cut it up or rip with our hands since it wasn't strong enough to be lifted. I would probably only come back during late nights out because that's when it will taste the best!

Good edge crust however, the rest of the pizza was poor. It was like a day old slice reheated. The center crust was soggy saturated with dried out sauce. It was not fresh tasting.

I mean, this pizza place is exactly what you would want on a drunken night out. My first time trying this was a few months ago and it was probably the best pizza I've ever had, but I had I had a little bit to drink?yes, actually a lot . My second time coming, here was about a week ago, and it was after a comedy show, and I was not nearly as intoxicated. The food was pretty cold, so my boyfriend kindly asked them to please reheat it, and they actually laughed at him. they reheated it while giving attitude the entire time and it still wasn't even warm when we got it back. Did I still eat it? Yes. Will I come back on another night out? Yes What can I say, there's a time and a place for high expectations and this isn't it

This place is definitely interesting! Lives up to the late night, sketchy, street food name. The pizza slices are definitely jumbo, so I'll give them that! And they are open til 0230 so that's another plus. That might be where the positives end. I ordered the Buffalo chicken slice for $11. The slice fills up the whole box and is even folded over a little at the end. The chicken was rubbery and had almost no Buffalo flavor. It also had a red sauce base which I find really off putting for Buffalo chicken pizza. It was not hot when we received the pizza and we were even in the store waiting for it, not like we waited for delivery and it had time to cool down. My friend got the mozzarella sticks (which she did accidentally drop on the floor and the nice people replaced them for her free of charge so that was really nice), but they weren't even hot. How do you have "fresh" fried mozzarella sticks that aren't even hot?? The place itself is very dirty, tiles falling off the wall and bugs flying around. I know this is a late night place and I'm probably being harsh, but with so many pizza options I would recommend trying somewhere else.

Washington, DC has slowly morphed into what can be best summarized by something I saw in someone's dating profile as "the Chipotle of cities," but Jumbo Slice Pizza is a remnant of a time past when DC was a force beyond copy and paste architecture and management consultant swamp creatures who achieve and do nothing for a living. Is Jumbo Slice the best pizza in terms of technique or taste? Of course not. Is it divine at 2 AM when you're drenched in sweat, your shoes sticky from having stepped in lord knows what, a bit tipsy (or a lot tipsy) and you're craving something...anything? Hell yes! Some of my best memories of being broke and hungry but finally being satiated are at Jumbo Slice and maybe it speaks to some nostalgic romanticizing, but those memories are certainly cherished and I look back at this place with fondness beyond just food. Adam's Morgan was a place that was festive and fun and you'd show up here with expectations and somehow those expectations would be exceeded even with only a few bucks in your pockets. Considering I've witnessed multiple individuals drop their slices (face down) on the sidewalk and then proceeding pick up and consume that same slice, that has to be worth something. The jumbo slices are greasy, don't hold up well, and may leave your tummy rumbling the next day, but embrace them with the reckless abandon of youth because the moments you share with good company over gratuitously large slices of oil dripping pizza in those in-between moments between "the big stuff" is what is truly meaningful in life. I remember a constant buzz of energy during the late night hours at this place in the early 2000's when DC had a vibrancy and unique culture outside the industry of feckless ineptitude of the Federal government and hollow suits. You can't put a price tag on the most worthwhile exhibitions in your memory's museum, but the best memories often cost $0.00 and I certainly remember the jumbo slices manifesting themselves in my hands through the kindness of others even when I was down to $0.00 of my own, but even when I had a few bucks to rub together this place never broke the bank so you always spotted someone else a slice when you had abundance enough to share. I honestly don't know if I'll ever set foot in DC ever again, considering the city's downward spiral into a third rate version of Boston with far less interesting people, but I will forever cherish the joys of a jumbo slice on 18th Street NW when you could party like it was Mardi Gras every visit to this strip and finish with the perfect post party slice of slightly gross but perfectly satisfying greasy goodness.

It's located in the heart of Adam's Morgan, and while the line to order might seem long, it's definitely worth it. I'm pretty used to not having any restaurants around me that stay open past 10pm, let alone 2:30am -- so this made me happy. My friend ordered a "Jumbo Cheese Pizza Slice" and I ordered a "Jumbo Supreme Pizza Slice" with almost all the toppings you could think of (cheese, pepperoni, Italian sausage, ground beef, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, ham, black olives and basil). I definitely underestimated their definition of "jumbo," but I've never been more content to spend $8 on a slice of pizza larger than the size of my head. For those of you wondering, I ate it all and proudly at that. Definitely check this place out (I'm thinking the earlier the better so they don't run out of your favorite toppings). I know I'll be coming back!

Getting called sir isn't something I appreciate. Nothing like being in one of DCs most gay friendly neighborhoods to be misgendered and called sir while trying to just grab some food. The slice was good, but overall I cannot give this business a good rating after the way I was treated. NOT LGBTQ FRIENDLY I was contacted by the manager or owner to apologize for the incident, but when he contacted me he apologize on behalf of a male employee who he believed to be responsible. This wasn't even the person who was responsible. He claimed it was an older gentlemen who.

I love Jumbo Slice Pizza just because it's the place you can go in Adams Morgan to get a simple big slice of pizza. It's been around forever and always incites some nostalgia in me from when I first was in D.C. many moons ago. I came recently during the COVID-19 pandemic and it's definitely weird to see the lobby barren. Albeit, that slice of pepperoni is still amazing and worth the ~$7! It's hard for me to not want to get a slice from here after hanging around Adams Morgan having a couple drinks. Thanks for a slice of heaven JSP, even in these crazy 2020 times we're living in!

We all know why you're at Jumbo Slice Pizza and it's not because you were looking for the best pizza in DC. It's because it's 2AM and you've just stumbled out of some bar on 18th or even further afield and needed some sustenance before heading home, and the only thing this city offers at that time of night is greasy jumbo slices of pizza, which is convenient because that's also the only thing you probably want at 2AM in the aforementioned scenario. I would say this place delivers what is expected of it. Which is more than can be said of a lot of places. I don't have photos of the pizza because who thinks to review a pizza place at 2 in the morning. But they're large (at least a quarter of a normal medium size pizza), pretty greasy (mop it up with a napkin), and delicious. It doesn't seem better or worse to me than the other similar pizza places nearby.

Have you ever seen one slice the size of a whole pizza pie? Well this is it. One slice after a night owl will have your full to the next day. It's literally like five slices in one. Surprisingly though, it doesn't fall apart. It is pretty greasy... So you'll have to go through like 50 napkins. But I guess you walk into this place expecting that. Bonus points because it's open super late.

First time in DC and my friend suggests this spot. I ordered a veggie calzone and it's huge and undercooked, the dough was RAW. I asked for a refund because the dough was clearly undercooked in the center and was denied because she gave me water and one packet of ranch. (in lieu of the bottled juice she charged me for but did not have available) Would not recommend this establishment-

A lifesaver- one of the few places still serving food so late. A delicious and fast place to get a jumbo slice of pizza after a long night out!! I was happy to have leftovers for breakfast. So convenient! Primarily a takeout location but they do have a couple outdoor tables.

My cousins and I were walking back to the hotel and planned to stop at another Pizza Shop we saw the night before, but I saw that Jumbo Slice offered Beef Sausage and Beef Pepperoni. We decided to stop because one of my cousins does not eat pork and it was a good chance, she may get disappointed at the other shop. Jumbo slice lives up to the name in that you get a huge slice of pizza. 2/19 they were only serving Cheese or Pepperoni slices. They didn't have the salads, or a few other items listed on the menu, so we kept it basic. It's a basic slice of pizza nothing fancy but will fill you up. We reheated the rest of our slices as we couldn't finish them, and they reheated well. We considered braving the cold to get a second slice later that night! They are open until 3am and will satisfy you hunger.

We got the classic cheese at Jumbo Slice Pizza in Adams Morgan. Overall it was very okay. The jumbo slice was cool, but I've had big pizza before! Other than the size there wasn't anything special. I'd recommend it if you're really craving pizza or want a cheap meal in Adams Morgan!

Of course we wanted pizza after a night out. However this is NOT my usual place. Still give it a try, the pizza is ok, meaning not really, it was soggy. After walking a few blocks there and a little wait not what I expected. Maybe next time I would ask for crispy if that's an option. The good thing about eating a humongous slice Of cheese pizza is that you can sleep in as you don't need to eat breakfast right away! Will give it another try. I still recommend this place after a night out of drinking.

I remember how delectable this place tasted as we were leaving a Bachelorette party 10+ years ago, still sloshing and laughing it up. For a couples dinner, we had left our restaurant feeling hungry and felt it was ok to just stop by here and grab a bite. Quick and dirty this place is for sure. Best pizza ever? Don't count on it, but do count on enjoying the largest single slice of pizza you'll ever have. Best to ingest folded in half. So we didn't stop here buzzed beyond belief this time, but it was a def nice memory, and so was this I would say.

I regretted my purchase after about two bites. For $5.50 for a cheese slice that's way bigger than my face, I wasn't expecting to eat it all - but I had a serious craving for pizza before a Yelp event nearby and knew I could bring most of it home to my husband. I don't know how after a decade in DC this is my first experience getting a Jumbo Slice, but it will probably be my last. The ratio of cheese to bread to sauce was way off. And I guess I should've assumed this, but you just can't get a good bake on the crust at that size. Extremely doughy, too thick, and tastes underbaked. When I brought (most of it) home to my hubby, he was super excited...until he tasted it. We ended up tossing the majority of our jumbo slice. The joint itself is no frills which is what I expected and the guy working was quite nice. I'm sad that I can't speak any higher of this place but the pizza just isn't worth it.

It lived up to the hype of being a jumbo slice of pizza. Considering there was only one person working he was making the pizza and taking the order we got out pizza fairly quick. $7 gets you a cheese slice that will leave you full the dough and cheese very acceptable. It's not your fancy pizzeria but if your visiting or just hungry and want a cheap meal. They have a meat supreme slice it if packed with ham sausage and pepperoni so much so that it falls apart good flavor can get messy

If you're in Adams Morgan and on a tight budget this is one of the places I would direct you to. You get one slice of cheese pizza that is the size of a medium sized pizza starting at $5 and change. I ordered a slice of cheese and a slice of buffalo chicken pizza. Toppings are extra, of course, so the buffalo chicken slice was around $7.50. The taste was just okay. It was kind of bland. I needed to add hot sauce to my cheese pizza. The buffalo chicken pizza was lacking too. However, It was cool eating a giant slice of pizza. It's definitely worthy of a picture post on social media.

I mean....what can you say. It's good drunk food, and good enough for the price. I've been here 2x during my bar tours of Adam's Morgan and it as close to NY pizza that I'm going to get whilst in DC so why not? My advice, stick with Cheese or Pepperoni. My friend who recommended this place decided to get buffalo chicken pizza and he wasn't too happy about it. Meanwhile, I drunkenly enjoy my pepperoni slice. Can't wait to indulge again

Huge slice, doesn't have the nice roasted brown cheesy top but not soggy for walk in pizza. I'm filled and ate it all and loved it (sober!) we got the Veggie Slice and split it as a snack before dinner and it was about $12.00!

Everything about this place checks the boxes of adequate for a post-bar greasy food fix. The pizza isn't great, but it's good enough. It has bread-y crust and cheese that's easily on the greasy side of the spectrum but within the range where it can be considered a positive. It's pretty plain inside but fine. Bathrooms exist. It's fairly affordable, running between $6 and $9 per "slice" when the slices really are jumbo... One slice is almost a medium pizza's worth of food. No one would need two. This place jumps to a four star rating for the people who work there (mostly one of them, but others are cool, too). They're fun, funny, sarcastic in a charming way, and prepared to make the kind of witty banter that's the perfect end to a night at one of the nearby bars... unless you're feeling cranky and want to take yourself seriously, in which case I you might not like it. I've been there a few times now, and each time I've left laughing with some good quotes to use as inside jokes with the friends I accompanied there. If that's not what you're looking for, you might not love it. But, I greatly appreciate it.

Probably one of the only places in Dupont Circle open until 2am for a late night snack (and soaking up alcohol) and serving up decent pizza. One cheese slice is $4, but definitely big enough for 2 people. And the staff will even slice it for you. When you're in the mood for pizza, this place will hit the spot. A bit oily, but it'll do! Beggars can't be choosers. Two thumbs up in my book.

This is a just novelty......like something you'd expect at a carnival.....a jumbo slice of pizza for about $10. It's not very good though and there is absolutely nothing special about it except that it's a giant slice of pizza. Girl at the register could use some manners too! Went here after a night out at A League of Her Own, which is just a couple businesses down from Jumbo Slice Pizza. The pizza slices came out quick, but everything else has a bit of a wait - not bad at all though! The breadsticks with cheese is more like a round pizza sized cheesy bread - still very yummy though! A good late night snack!

What is not to love about jumbo slice? If you do not like this pizza, then I question your sanity. The pizza is absolutely delicious whether you are sober or drunk at 2 am. The service is never very friendly but I guess that's half the charm. The pizza slice is the size of a small child. My fave is pepperoni.

Just what your little drunk heart desires! The price is right, the feeling is right, and you can't leave without it. It is convenient, quick, and perfect for the morning after if you cant finish it! Just trying to save someone else the heartache, do not get their Buffalo Chicken jumbo slice. It has RED SAUCE on it. Absolutely disgusting. Stick to cheese or pepperoni for your late night pizza needs.

This pizza was actually pretty good but I was a bit grossed out by the fact that the place has a funky smell like it needs a deep cleaning. That smell is more potent than the actual smell of food. The pizza slices are pretty big and you can probably get full off of one or maybe even 1 and a half slices if you have a big appetite (if you still have one after the restaurant's smell). Drinks are cans only. There isn't much seating but the place was pretty deserted. We were the only customers. We opted to eat on the patio tables and chairs outside of the restaurant as the smell was pretty pungent. I asked to use the restroom. That was also disgusting. It smelled pretty bad and it was pretty dirty. It looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time.

As far as novelty, oversized for shock value pizza joints go, the slices here are actually not too bad at all. After already doing a tour of late night disgusting cheap eats at Ben's Chili Bowl and Amsterdam Falafelshop a few doors down, we figured the night couldn't be complete without trying one of these jumbo slices. We opted for the Pepperoni Slice ($6). At only $1 more than the regular slice, I guess I can see why they are so chintzy with the pepperonis, since it should cost way more to cover such a monstrous slice with enough meat. But anyway, even though the pieces of pepperoni were way too few and far between, the pizza itself tasted alright. As with the typical clientele here, I can imagine this might taste quite a bit better if your senses are highly impaired, so it fills the niche perfectly for this neighborhood. It was a fun, tasty mini-meal, that was nice for the laugh and to try at least once, but I don't think I really ever need to return here again.

$5 cheese, $6 pepperoni, $6 sausage, $7 meat, $7 supreme. Slices the size of my head, and I have a mondo-proportioned skull. The motion-sensor paper towel dispensers are a luxury for germaphobes like me. I went through a few feet of napkins just dabbing grease off the tops and bottoms of each slice. I had half a mind to just wring them out like towels since they were already dripping from every crevice. I won't be back to eat here sober, but it does its job in AdMo as a pit stop for those looking to slow their drunkitude, or recover from it at the end of the night. They ran out of sausage well before 1 am, selling customers on the easy upcharge to meat. I preferred my slice of Jumbo meat to my earlier Jumbo pepperoni, and regret forgoing the condiments that had migrated to the left counter. You can only be so willing to migrate through the flocks of drunken revelry.

Really is jumbo slice. 1 is a meal. Could split it with someone really. Solid pizza and better than most oversized pizza concepts.

After a long night out, a slice of pizza is the perfect way to end the night. Coming from NYC, I haven't had much luck with slices in the DC area. I stumbled into Jumbo Slice by chance as it was the closest pizza joint opened at 3am. At $5.50 a slice, this was shockingly expensive, but when we opened the box, I can see why- the one slice was the equivalent of 3? In any case, it was pretty damn close to a NY slice. The crust could be thinner, but the cheese and sauce, spot on. Definitely satisfied a craving, and I wouldn't mind going back.

Epic fail. On my part. I went there and got a caesar salad...I didn't know they had jumbo slice pizza slices...I was wondering why the place was called...Jumbo Slice Pizza. Dammit. The salad was...different...it had an array of items in it that perplexed me...they were good, so I didn't ask too many questions. I also got a cranberry juice and everything came out to $10. Dunno if I was a fan of that part. The salad wasn't exactly huge...but it felt...exotic...I dunno how to explain it...the salad was good. That much I know. Service was awesome...pretty chill place...when I go back to D.C I'm getting a jumbo slice. That much I know.

The slices are about as big as a medium sized pizza. Definitely get one slice to share. For what it is, I think it's a win. Good price, reasonable taste. I would however recommend you absorb some of the surface oil with napkins before digging in to ease your conscience.

There are many fakes but this is the original Jumbo slice. After seeing this local spot on a few tv food shows I had to try it out so after a girls visit to Pitchers ‍we had our appetite on. The pizza was delish and huge. Everyone was so nice even to the customers that had a bit too much to drink. Don't be discourage by the line it moves fast!! We'll be back!‍‍‍

Wow! This place is appropriately named, no doubt. I ordered a slice of veggie pizza. It was massive!! The cheese was perfectly melted and the crust wasn't too overpowering. All in all, I walked away satisfied.

Do not wast your time or money! The inside has dirty and stained walls. The service is really bad. For example, I requested the supreme and they boxed up a meat pizza. Said the supreme would take 10 minutes. Did not give me a choice! The pizza was only slightly warm and was very very doughy. Within 1-2 blocks there are other pizza choices that I wish I had visited. Don't make the same mistake!

When in Adams Morgan...jumbo slice pizza is a must! After the concert at The Anthem I was famished and most places closed early because it was a weeknight. I turned to my friend and we both agreed to venture out to the opposite side of DC. Two jumbo slices (cheese and pepperoni) to-go and two water bottles for under $20! A slice was $7ish which was such a steal. The name of the pizza shop definitely matches the slice because it was JUMBO alright! I had to dab the pizza with a napkin to get rid of excess oil but it was delicious! I barely made it to the crust but I finished what I could. I'm a pizza feen and this place is a must try!
