"A seaside resort centered around five sea‑fed lagoon pools set back slightly from the beach and surrounded by palm trees; two of the lagoons serve as a turtle rehabilitation area where guests can stop by on their way to the beach. Permanent residents such as Humpty (12) and Dumpty (7), both injured green turtles unable to be released, live in the warm, calm lagoons and are fed diets of fish, squid, prawns, mussels and occasional vegetables. "How did it strike you on arrival?Al-Naseem is the most modern option in the gargantuan Madinat Jumeirah complex. The low-slung stucco buildings blend in with the adjacent sea, and the lobby has complementary touches like white draperies, glowing lanterns, and lots of flowers. The centerpiece, however, is a sculpture of camels running on water, created by Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.Many of Al-Naseem’s 430 rooms have views of the Burj Al-Arab, another Jumeirah hotel. If you’re a high-roller, the 5,300-square-foot Royal Suite has two bedrooms, a movie room, a gym, and private landscape gardens. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase?The mini bar is full of packaged candies and salty snacks. Better to skip than to pay the sky-high prices. Rooms have extended terraces, a perk that lets guests close external balcony doors on hot days while still occupying the extended living space. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.Baths are spectacular with a separate mosaic-tiled bathing area, hanging mirrors, and carved wooden silk bowls. There’s also a spa bench and large wardrobe. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Wifi is free and fast and extends to the property’s beach area. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.Wild Wadi Waterpark is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel (tickets are included with your stay). Al-Naseem is home to one of the Emirate’s most fashionable eateries, one that is packed with ambiance and African flair - Flamingo Room by Tashas restaurant. Bottom line: worth it, and why?Al-Naseem is the most recent property to open at Madinat Jumeirah.
