"A seaside resort centered around five sea‑fed lagoon pools set back slightly from the beach and surrounded by palm trees; two of the lagoons serve as a turtle rehabilitation area where guests can stop by on their way to the beach. Permanent residents such as Humpty (12) and Dumpty (7), both injured green turtles unable to be released, live in the warm, calm lagoons and are fed diets of fish, squid, prawns, mussels and occasional vegetables. The facility runs public feeding and education sessions (daily at 11 a.m.), hosts turtle releases on its beach, and is integrated with wider conservation and outreach work that encourages guest and local involvement." - Nicola Chilton
