Google
I had such a great experience at Jun’s Bistro! The food is really good and tasty, and I especially love how they offer so many different varieties of mushrooms in their dishes — it makes the menu unique and fun to explore. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Google
The mushroom cuisines here are incredible, super fresh, and cooked to perfection with just the right seasoning. It really captures the unique flavors of Yunnan cuisine. Highly recommend!

Google
Jun Bistro totally exceeded expectations! The Spicy Ground Pork Rice Noodle Soup had the perfect heat and depth of flavor, and the Signature Herbal Roasted Steak was incredibly tender and aromatic — worth the wait. We also loved the Fried Quail with pepper salt and the crispy Yunnan street fries. Every dish was bursting with bold, authentic taste. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

Google
One of the best Asian fusion restaurants in the Bay! Seems like it’s newly opened, but everything (atmosphere, ambience and etc.) are superb. Even their menu is very interesting to read! There’s a little background story of how they wanted to start this business hanging on the wall. Very cool place! Highly recommended!

Google
Not as good as last time but still ok. The new dish is fried quail and it tastes very good. It could be better if it can be served with gloves or already cut into smaller pieces. The stir fry mushrooms are good as always. Rice cracker pretty crispy and sweet. The fish is ok but it doesn’t absorb the taste of other ingredients like Banana leaf.

I had an amazing experience at Jin’s Bistro! The food was outstanding — flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The hot pot was rich and comforting with the perfect balance of spices and herbs, making every bite deeply satisfying. The side dishes complemented the meal wonderfully; the fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and the dipping sauce paired perfectly with it. What really stood out was the quality of ingredients — from the tender meats to the fresh vegetables and fragrant broth, everything tasted top-notch. The portions were generous, and the presentation showed real care and attention.

Google
We ordered the wood ginger beef vermicelli hot pot — huge portion, very filling and great value for the price! The beef was tender, the vermicelli soaked up the flavorful broth, and everything was delicious. The crispy rice crust was also amazing — super crunchy and tasty. Overall, a great dining experience. Highly recommend!

Google
Pleasantly surprised by this lil cafe tucked away amidst tons of other Asian restaurants. The flavors were delightful, the service was prompt, and portions were plenty! The menu surprised us as there were many dishes that we haven’t heard of. Will be back to try more things!

Yelp
had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was flavorful and freshly prepared, with the noodles standing out as a personal favorite -- perfectly cooked and full of rich, savory taste. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was cozy without being too loud. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or a relaxed meal, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
I recently dined at Jun Bistro and was blown away by the experience. The atmosphere was warm and intimate, with a modern yet cozy design that made it perfect for both date nights and casual dinners.

Yelp
Nice restaurant with good interior design. I love their seasonal drinks and dishes. Seems like they change menu periodically

Yelp

Yelp
Pretty good! Clean environment. Authentic Chinese food. Self order. Tip starts with 18%

Yelp
The concept of this place is pretty special. We liked all the dishes we got. We ordered: Fried tofu Stir fried rice noodle roll Spicy potato chicken pot Laksa fried rice Herbal roasted steak with rice Would definitely return.

Yelp
Food was really good. Wild mushroom main course and stir fry cheung fun was excellent, super flavorful. Whole sea bass in banana leaf was alright, too many bones to pick out. Fried chicken app was decent, should've been cut up smaller imo and the dip was just ok. Service is typical but food came out fast and hot! Would come back

Yelp
4.5 stars rounding up. I was initially suspicious of the high reviews since there were a lot so I was wondering if it was inflated. BUT! I really enjoyed everything we ordered. The spicy potato pot chicken was supposed to be spicy (I didn't think it was spicy), so we added more spice to it. No complaints about the taste and flavor though. The fried appetizers were perfectly crispy & flavorful. The rose pu er latte was very fragrant, and the tea flavor was pretty good. In terms of the service, I thought they were attentive. The server offered to bring us an extra bowl because she saw us struggling with putting the potato on the pile of rice. They also do water refills pretty quickly. I'll definitely be back to try their other dishes. Our neighboring table ordered the mushroom rice and it smelled soooo good.

Yelp
On a hot day I decided to visit this place with my fiance. There was no wait. The inside fits about 7-10 tables and had a lowkey feel. They have lofi hip hop playing in speakers with a minimalist table design. Their utensils are newer. We ordered some fried mushroom and tofu, spicy pot chicken potato, and beef offal saltado. Tofu / mushroom: amazing. Very crispy and yet soft on the inside. Warm and fresh. Spicy chicken potato pot: not spicy enough. We had to get 2 plates of spicy powder to make it spicy. They should have more spicy levels because it was not enough. But it was very flavorful. Beef offal saltado: pretty good. Soft intestines and chewy tripe with veggies. Well seasoned. Overall a solid visit and I would recommend to anyone craving yunnan food!

Yelp
Everything was really delicious! The Yunnan street food home fries --my favorite dish out of all-- had so much depth of flavor for such a simple dish. The broth of the Angus beef noodle soup was seasoned perfectly; rice noodles had the perfect consistency. I even love the Stirfried cheung fun that had here. I think it's the only place that makes them besides my family. And it did not disappoint. The other dishes also shined uniquely on its own as well. The whole atmosphere was really cozy and the interior was absolutely beautiful! Very tranquil in fact.

Yelp
Google map directions are wrong and while we were on the freeway said we are here just Google directions to the 99 ranch market to get here. Seating was quick, order from the QR code on the menu and food came out quickly. They had kids bowls and utensils for the kids which was nice. Tried the truffle mushroom and it was tasty. Would recommend this.

Yelp
Mushroom & Daisy leaf salad: 10/10!!! The salad exceeded my expectations - everyone at the table loved it. It wasn't too sweet or sour, or had too much dressing like a lot of salads do, it had a lot of umami. Tomato chicken w/ potatoes: 6.5/10 I like tomato dishes, would've preferred more chicken and less potatoes though lol.

Yelp
Really good restaurant if you enjoy mushrooms! Came on a friday and the wait was about 20min for 3 people.
google avatar

Samuel L.

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant on a Friday and was surprised to see it packed with people -- always a good sign of great food! We ordered the banana leaf steamed fish, fried rice, and the fried mushroom appetizer. The mushrooms were amazing -- crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The fried rice was flavorful, but I have to give a big shout-out to the steamed fish: incredibly soft, fresh, and delicious. The sauce was a bit too spicy for me personally, but overall, everything was spot on. The staff were friendly and attentive, which is always a plus. Definitely adding this place to my go-to list. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Beef offal saltado is a must try. The taste is very unique and it's very delicious! Fries with spicy beef tripe, aorta, and intestine are great combinations. Lemongrass pot chicken is good too. Chicken mixed with mash potatoes and tomatoes makes a creamy and fresh taste. Jun Bistro is a Yun Nan style Chinese restaurant. If you want to try some unique and fresh Chinese cuisine, this is a great spot to explore.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything is very delicious! The yunnan puerh latte is amazing! Nice environment and authentic Chinese food.
google avatar

Lina L.

Yelp
This place is a total gem! They've got some super unique food options that you can't find anywhere else. It was pretty packed since we rolled up on a Friday night. We ordered the beef Angus noodle soup, banana wrap seabass, short ribs soup with daikon, fire-roasted eggplant, and Cheng fen - and honestly, we loved every single dish! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I've had Jun Bistro bookmarked for a few months and finally tried it out. Best decision ever! Every single dish we tried was amazing! Flavors are popping and so unique. Not your typical Chinese place. They're a Yunnan-inspired Asian fusion of Malay, Thai, Taiwanese, you name it! The interior has green all around with plants and trees separating the middle section. Very welcoming environment. The place was packed even on a Monday night. Scan the QR code and peruse the menu before ordering. Staff were pretty chill and actually asked us which dish we liked most at the end of the meal. We couldn't decide! I thought it was cool we got the fancy green water glasses while most people got plain clear ones. Eats: Signature Fried Tofu Crispy Oyster Mushroom Tempura Laksa Shrimp Fried Rice Stir Fried Cheung Fun Side of Braised Beef I've had laksa noodle soup before and expected more of a coconut flavor for the rice but the bits of pineapple threw me off a little. It was still delicious though because I love fried rice! Cheung fun was fried in little pieces, fun to eat! This also had thick slices of chopped bacon. Braised beef was savory and tender. Absolutely love fried tofu and mushrooms. For a minute, I couldn't tell which was which based on visuals alone. They offer plenty of drink options such as fresh sugar cane juice, tea lattes, plus coffee lattes with flavors like soy coconut and rose. For the adventurous, they also have "True Warrior's Fry Pupae", yes they have fried silkworms! I'll have to come back and bring the fam for some banana leaf wrapped sea bass, truffle mushroom rice, and all the food I already ordered.

Yelp
Jun Bistro is a charming gem in Milpitas Square, bringing the bold, vibrant spirit of Yunnan street food to the Bay Area. The menu offers a flavorful journey through regional delights: we indulged in crispy fried chicken paired with a zesty housemade Tom Yum sauce, while standout dishes like braised Angus beef noodles capture the comforting essence of Yunnan cooking. Playful touches--like coconut coffee lattes--add a refreshing, modern twist to the experience. The service was quick and courtesy.

Yelp
I always complain how it's hard to find a specialized mushroom restaurant in the Bay Area, and then.... Here we are. Jun bistro takes a unique speciality and stays true to it - from mushroom shaped cups to high quality mushroom dishes. The steamed rice with the assorted mushrooms was so delicious. I usually can't eat much rice in one sitting, but I felt like I wanted a second bowl. They have both affordable and pricier options as well, alongside unique desserts! There was a huge line here by 6 pm, but I'd definitely recommend if you're in the area to try something different

Yelp
4.5 stars This place is baby friendly. They provide a high chair and baby plates and spoons. They also provide crayons and a coloring picture to keep them occupied when they get antsy We ordered four entrees Truffle mushroom rice 10/10. We all loved this dish so much. Lots of mushrooms and can smell the truffle oil. Toddler loved this too Soymilk beef hot pot - 8/10. Lots of veggies and mushrooms. Savory soup. Cheung fen - 7.5/10 a little too greasy for me but my husband enjoyed it a lot Banana leaf sea bass - 7/10. Served with a curry sauce. The curry sauce is a bit mild.

Yelp

Yelp
Delicious and satisfying meal! The beef and mushroom stew was rich and flavorful, the stir-fry had a great balance of spice and umami, and the cold eggplant dish was refreshing. The tomato noodle soup added a nice, comforting touch. Great flavors and well-presented--would definitely come back!

Yelp
Yummy! Authentic Chinese cuisine. Nice and clean environment. Service is good as well. Recommend!

Yelp
Heard there is another Yunnan flavor restaurant opening in the area and decided to check it out. Jun Bistro is awesome. I ordered the chicken noodle soup and it taste authentic. The mushroom salad mix is also unique and good. The service is relatively fast too, but it is getting more popularity and I recommend you arrive early (hours picture attached). There about 12 small tables and nicely decorated inside. Plenty of parking as it sits in the shopping mall. Recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Authentic Yunnan flavors that hit every note -- earthy, spicy, and deeply comforting. The wild mushroom stir-fry was a standout. Yunnan is known for its mushrooms, and this dish did them justice -- chewy, umami-packed, and perfectly seasoned. You could tell everything was fresh and cooked with care. Service was great! Will be back

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time ever but the wait times are usually over an hour. I finally got to try it today and there was minimal wait time on a Tuesday afternoon. The mushroom rice was the best dish here. highly recommend trying out their mushroom specialty dishes because that's what they're known for!!

Yelp
Really good Yunnan-style restaurant. I'm a big fan of Yunnan cuisine and really love the mushroom dish with its good spicy flavor!

Manman C.

Yelp
Food: Every dish was bursting with flavor and clearly made with care. The hot pot was rich and comforting, loaded with tender beef slices, mushrooms, and fresh veggies in a savory broth. The cold eggplant with chili was refreshing and had just the right kick. The stir-fried squid and mushroom dish packed in great texture and umami, while the fried tofu bites were perfectly crispy and seasoned. The rice noodles paired beautifully with everything, and the tomato topping added a nice tang. Truly a satisfying spread! Service: The staff was attentive and efficient without being overbearing. Our food arrived promptly, and they were happy to explain some dishes when we asked. Small details, like keeping the table tidy and checking in without interrupting the flow of the meal, made us feel well taken care of. Ambiance: The restaurant had a warm and cozy vibe, ideal for both casual lunches and dinners with friends. The wooden table, modern tableware, and subtle lighting added to the pleasant atmosphere. Even with a full table of dishes, the space never felt cramped -- just relaxed and inviting.

Yelp
TLDR: Small portions, but tasty food We had 6 people, which automatically incurs a large party charge (20%). So be careful. We ordered a lot of dishes, but for the most part they were small-sized portions. We had 1 small quail for $9. It was ok. The meat wasn't too dry and the pepper salt adds some nice subtle flavor. We also ordered the fried chicken, which was easily our favorite. We ordered 2 orders of it, because it was finished off VERY quickly. My wife always loves soup, so she ordered the fish tomato soup. That was probably the only thing that was large-ish. It was the only thing we took with us, as she really liked the soup. We also ordered cheung fun as well as fried rice. Those were good as well. Finally, the dishes I didn't try at all were the fried tofu, mushroom tempura and the eggplant. I think everyone enjoyed those as well. If the dishes were bigger, I would definitely give it 4 stars. But not only are the dishes small, the prices are large. So I don't think it's worth it, to be honest. The restaurant is small, so there's always a line. We went kinda early, and still had to wait 30 minutes.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
The restaurant is very unassuming. The front doesn't look like it's an aesthetic restaurant but when you walk in there's this whole garden in the middle. I didn't enjoy the special where you have random animal parts. The soup base was not my taste either. I preferred the beef noodle soup. Personally the best things to order here was the crispy fried mushroom and the truffle fries. Service was great! But overall the food didn't hit for me.

Yelp
Been wanting to come to this place for a while. First time trying Yunnan cuisine. Atmosphere is cute with a lot of green decor. Someone had a dog inside too. No wait around 2pm on a Sunday. Everyone was amazing. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.
google avatar

Sree S.

Yelp
Very unique food, the fried tofu was amazing. The eggplant and chilli dish was cold but very flavorful. My daughter loved their fresh cane sugar juice. We also enjoyed the mushroom dishes but not a fan of the fried naan.
google avatar

Dixie L.

Yelp
No wait time! Pro-tip: leave a review and they'll give you a complimentary drink or ice cream So far I tried the 云南玫瑰普洱拿铁 Yunnan Rose Pu'erh Latte and coconut coffee latte. Orders came out fast and perfectly sweetened. 酥脆炸蘑菇 Crispy Oyster Mushroom Tempura: came out hot, crunchy, juicy and perfectly seasoned mushroom goodness
google avatar

Alice Z.

Yelp
This restaurant specializes in mushroom dishes and has a unique style. The stir-fried mushrooms are fresh and flavorful, and the potato chicken is well-seasoned. A worth trying!
google avatar

Tiger W.

Yelp
Jun Bistro in Milpitas delivers great flavors with a few standout dishes. The herbal roasted short ribs were solid, but the real highlight was the wrap-style way of eating them, which made the dish even better. The cheung fun was flavorful and well-prepared, and the smashed eggplant with rice cracker was good--though not something I'd necessarily get again. If you go, definitely ask for the chili oil--it adds a great kick. The pu er cocktail was smooth and well-balanced, pairing nicely with the meal. Prices are worth it for the most part, given the quality. The only downside is the parking, which is a nightmare, so be prepared to circle a few times. Service and ambiance was amazing!
google avatar

Alisa B.

Yelp
I had a pretty great experience here! No complaints really. Quick service and perfectly flavored food. Everything I tried was a hit! Coconut Coffee was strong and creamy. Caffeinated well. The Spicy Lemon Fish was tender and had the perfect amount of sauce. Not too spicy! The Laksa Shrimp Fried Rice is also definitely worth the hype! I highly recommend. Sooooo good.
google avatar

Yingshi H.

Yelp
I love the food here! It might be the best Yunnan cuisine I've had in California. It's quite popular, so we had to wait a bit for seating. The interior features a wooden design that gives off a natural, earthy vibe. The restaurant was clean and well-kept. Stir-Fried Cheung Fun: Infused with a smoky, fire-kissed aroma, this dish was seasoned with soy sauce and stir-fried with pork belly--flavorful and satisfying. Banana Leaf-Wrapped Seabass: The fish was incredibly tender and fresh, with a subtle spiciness and the fragrant essence of the banana leaf. I highly recommend trying their fish dishes! Wild Mushrooms Conserva: Rich mushroom aroma paired with perfectly balanced spicy seasoning--simple but delicious.

Yelp
03/12/2025 came here for lunch with a friend The inside was nice; got a few fake plants in the middle. I would say it is pretty elegant. we ordered through the QR code, and the order came extremely fast. stir-fry assorted wild mushroom ($24) had a strong flavor component with a wide variety of mushrooms and red bell peppers. It was slightly spicy, which I enjoyed. Laksa Shrimp Fried Rice ($18) tasted like it was wok-fried. The flavor was not too strong and it was a great combo with the wild mushrooms we ordered. Though I am not too sure I tasted pineapples. The table next to use ordered a lot more and safe to say that the dishes all look like the photos provided in the app. It was a unique experience to try different dishes. There is also fried silkworm for those who want to try.

Yelp
Nice environment, the food is very YunNan traditional. Bought my kids to here, they love the food too.

Yelp
Dinner date at Jun Bistro a Southeast Asian fusion restaurant with Yunnan influence. We came on a friday night around 6 pm which was extremely busy, wait time for a party of 2 was about 40-45 mins. Their menu is interesting with many different options like hotpot, soups, whole fish dishes, braised chicken, stew pots, and many more. Here is what we ordered: For drinks: -Coconut coffee latte served in a super cute mushroom glass. -Pain killer" cocktail For food: -Banana leaf wrapped Seabass -Laksa shrimp fried rice -Tom yum fried chicken For dessert: -Youtiao Bread Pudding With Toasted Coconut -Truffle ice cream Food here is really delicious, everything is tasty and cooked to perfection. I definitely recommend the whole fish was soft and flavorful and the Tom Yum fried chicken was to die for.... That Tom Yum dipping sauce elevated that fried chicken dish. I also want to come back to try the other whole fish dish and the hot pots. I noticed a lot of tables with the burners and hotpot dishes. It must be good

Yelp
Very special yunnan food Tasty and healthy Mushroom from China Super tasty Recommend !!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Our party of three got the last table at a little after 6pm on a Saturday. We ordered a chicken stew with potatoes (not sure of exact name), pate with youtiao, and truffled mushroom sausage rice. Everything was good, except we felt the Chinese sausage overpowered the truffle flavor. Service was responsive in that when we mistakingly received the spicy version of the chicken stew, they acknowledged the mistake and asked us to keep both versions. They also brought out a fun school bus-shaped plate and utensils for our toddler. Many tables around us ordered fish dishes and mushrooms in various forms. I look forward to returning to try more dishes.
google avatar

Chantal T.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday evening for dinner so it was pretty crowded and we had to wait a while for a table. Their fried chicken was my favorite though and the fried rice was really good! Also got a free tea for sharing on social media!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for some authentic yunnan cuisine. They have pretty special dishes specialize in mushroom. Great news for vegan! Great intertidal design. Very hip place
google avatar

Yelp
Food was tasty and flavorful. Noodles had great texture. Service was efficient and friendly. Nice ambiance as well overall. Pretty popular place but tables turn over fairly quickly. Would come back. Every thing was so good .

Yelp
The food is healthy and tasty. The must try spot for mushroom featured or yunnan cuisine. The vibe is relaxing and modern.

Yelp
"I recently visited Jun Bistro and had a great experience! The presentation of the dishes was visually appealing, and the taste was delicious. The service was also top-notch - our server was friendly and attentive. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Jun Bistro for a tasty meal in a welcoming atmosphere. "

Yelp
Service: nice Ambiance: casual Food: This is definitely in my top 3 places to get fish! If you love spicy, flavorful, tender fish, you need to try this lemon thai chili seabass! They also have a seabass wrapped in banana leaf that is less spicy and in a coconut curry sauce! Jun Bistro also specializes on Yunnan cuisine which means many of their dishes feature mushrooms! I recommend getting their Coconut Coffee in a mushroom cup as well as their Steam Chicken Consomme with Matsutake Soup -- it's light, aromatic, and earthy. It's a good soup to start off your day if you like chinese herbal soups! They also have a ton of other dishes I was eyeing like their Truffle and Mushroom Rice, Crispy Oyster Mushroom Tempura, and Chicken Liver Pate with Chinese Donut If you love trying multiple dishes, come with a group and do family style here!
