Super delicious! It was perfectly like being in Korea! The real and genuine Korean food! Hot barley tea was also great and side dishes were great, too! Thank you for your wonderful food!!!

Google
Best Korean restaurant in the LA or South Bay area if you’re looking for authentic home style Korean cooking! Menu has a good variety of dishes that are cooked so good 😋 Small place but food and service is fantastic. They have the best banchan(side dishes). Check it out when in Gardena you won’t be disappointed.

Google
Small restaurant with authentic taste (not crazily sweet like many new Korean restaurants now). The banchan is abundant. They serve the food very quickly.

Google
This restaurant is a simple place. You wouldn't think of it as a very famous or popular restaurant. However, the food is really good, the kind of food you would hope to eat from a Korean home. The Sul Lang Tang soup is a very very popular dish among Koreans, similar to how Pho is for the Vietnamese. It's a good place for other traditional Korean food.

Sylvie Y.

Google
Always come here when I’m out of idea what’s to eat.

Google
Small Place but very authentic flavor!! The Soup options are endless They have cow knee soup!!! I had trouble communicating with the waiters but everything worked out.

Restroom: one single stall, all genders. Food: Delicious! One of my favorite places for duk mandu guk. They change up their yummy banchan throughout the week. #LetsGuide #accessibility #allgender #restrooms #bathrooms #wc #LetsGuide #losangeles #southbay #gardena #yummybites #soup #affordableeats

Google
what a great find! This is some of the best Korean food we’ve had in a long time. The restaurant offers family-style dining with a great selection of soups and a clean, inviting atmosphere. Unlike many Americanized Korean restaurants where the food can be overly sweet or oily, the dishes here are perfectly balanced—flavorful without being too salty or sweet. We’re so glad we discovered this place and will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Small Korean owned shop. Came to try the Samgyetang soup since I was feeling under the weather and it didn't disappoint. There was ginger and garlic stuffed inside the chicken, and the chicken came right off the bone and broth was light. The service was good and they offered good variety banchans (kimchi, radish, black beans, japchae, zucchini).

Yelp
I always come here for their sul lung tang. But just recently, I noticed that they also have the Spicy Black Goat cassarole/stew. and I AM IN LOVE! This is now my GO TO for the black goat stew. great dipping sauce too. Their banchan selection has always been good.

Yelp
I Love supporting "mom and pop" shops. I've had ox tail soup from LA (H..) and places in the Southbay (W..) This place is true to the traditional way of Korean ox tail soup. Please come support

Yelp
A decent spot for sullungtang as the broth was a bit thin and not as milky as our favorite places, perhaps a result of less bone extraction during preparation. We also tried the lunch chicken teriyaki 'bento' and while I appreciated the variety of dishes, I wish there was more protein served. Not a bad place by any means, but nothing memorable enough to return as we've had better execution at other Korean restaurants in the area.
google avatar

Yoon L.

Yelp
Picked up food to go. Tried this place for the first time because our normal go-to was closed. When I opened the packaging, I could already smell that the sullungtang was not normal. It had kind of a sweet smell to it, that is a normal. Tasted funky. Won't be going back.

Yelp
We ate here on a Saturday morning. There was only one waitress. She was very quick and our food came out just as quick. We got the kimchi jjage and it was spicy and flavorful! We probably shouldn't have ordered the pot since it was just my fiancé and I but we enjoyed it and the left overs! Sides were great I enjoyed the cabbage omelette one.

Yelp
One of our go-to for Korean comfort dishes! Even with all the new Korean restaurants opening in the area, Jun Ju is still one we go quite often. This spot is known for their soups with a pretty big menu. Can't really compare this spot to places that specialize in one dish only but it's solid all around! Of course, seolleontang is probably the most popular. The galbi tang and gamja tang is also a few of our favorites. They have other soups that's more rarely seen in other Korean restaurants around the area like cow knee and even black goat. There's also some of your classic BBQ dishes like LA galbi and bulgolgi. Whatever we get, we also like to add the stir fry pork belly kimchi. It's a huge plate and we like to take it home and then making our own fried rice from the leftovers. Parking can be a mess at times but there's street parking available.

Dan C.

Yelp
After all these years, still one of the best, solid, consistent, and authentic Korean restaurants in the South Bay. Service is good. Food always hits the spot. Not Americanized flavors but like home cooked Korean food.

Yelp
Great little hole in the wall with delicious food! I was trying to beat this heatwave, so I ordered the cold buckwheat noodles. It came with an extra bowl of icy cold broth and vinegar and mustard to adjust to your liking. It was delicious and refreshing. My husband ordered the tofu, pork belly, and kim chi dish. It's one of my favorite Korean dishes and it was even better the next day! But don't leftovers hit differently? Their ban chans were also very good! Ive never gotten boiled eggs with whole garlic or eggplant as a side before. I can't wait to return!
google avatar

Phattharaporn S.

Yelp
A nice restaurant for Korean comfort food. The bibimbap was good. It feels less Americanized than most restaurants, which was a good thing. We were a bit sad that the samgye tang didn't have ginseng in it. I think it might be in the broth when they cook it but we usually get the real ginseng our dish too when ordering this. Overall, the taste was good.

Yelp
What a gem I found in the city of Gardena. Mom and pop shop that serves the best Korean soups. They simmer their broth for hours and hours and you can definitely taste the deliciousness. Their meat dishes are also very good, the la galbi was so flavorful and I enjoyed making wraps with the pork! Service is A1 and there a lot with plenty of parking. Will definitely be returning.

Yelp
I'm so glad this place was open! We had a layover and ended up here, and all five of us loved the food. Seriously, you should check it out, especially if you're missing Korean food.
google avatar

Yelp
I was looking for a place to have Korean soup and bossam. There were many places to choose from, however, based on the menu and reviews, I selected this place. It truly is a hole in the wall, nothing fancy, seems like family operates. Most things on walls are handwritten instead of printed. We ordered Yukgeajang (spicy beef soup) and Dwaegi Bossam (Sliced Pork Belly with vegetables to wrap them with). Food was really tasty. The ban chan (side dishes) were simple and fresh. Service was good. They sent us a complimentary appetizer. We couldn't finish the food ... there is a charge for to go containers. I enjoyed our meal and was glad that I picked this simple restaurant.
google avatar

Joyce T.

Yelp
A bit disappointed since this place had great reviews. There was almost no one on a Friday night, which surprised me given its reviews. It's nestled in a plaza that was packed full of cars, but for the other places I guess. I ordered the seollongtang, which was not bad but also not good. Especially given that it's in the name. It was a thin broth that didn't have much flavor even when salt was added. The banchan was good and it's always nice when they bring you a giant pot of freshly cut green onion to add into the soup. If you want to take your leftovers to go, you have to pay $.50 for a small container and $1 for a large container.

Yelp
Located in a strip mall. Greeted with a warm ambiance and sweet waitress. Presented with delicious brisket sullungtang to nourish the soul. Solid spot.
google avatar

Maria F.

Yelp
This resto is in a busy strip mall competing for limited parking slots with a KBBQ place, a sushi place, a boba place plus other establishments. We last visited this place years ago and was underwhelmed. Mind you, we can't remember if it's the same place or not. The second visit proved to be favorable. We ordered: Galbitang Sullungtang Mung bean pancake We definitely order all three again! We ate here on a Wednesday after work. They may have just cleaned as the scent of antiseptic wafted through the air. There were only a few other patrons that night. Service was quick and efficient. This is an option if the line at the other places are too long! Enjoy!

Yelp
Omg! Authentic sul lung tang (traditional korean bone broth soup) is deliciously amazing at Jun Ju. Soup is served pipping hot, broth is rich flavored & served with salt, green onions & black pepper on the side. Speaking of side, their side dishes are exquisite & authentic. You'll enjoy the unlimited fresh ban-chan (side dishes). We also ordered korean seafood pancake- served crunchy with loaded seafood. Absolutely heavenly. Service staffs are friendly & well attentive. Place is clean & seating is limited. You'll see tons of elderly Koreans as delightful customers who are enjoying their meal. Parking is plenty in the front lot. Hope you get to dine at Jun Ju and experience authentic korean cuisine. Bon appetite!

Edith F.

Yelp
Absolute --it how. Absolute worst Korean food on the earth. Do not waste your money. Bouillon soup base!!! Really ? How sad! Wet mushy rice ?! How sad. Close your business and save us from the disastrous food.
google avatar

Joseph L.

Yelp
Service is normal. The brooth on the meat was not drained properly. The meat was a little rubbery. It was not terrible but not the best. Comfort food if you need something quick.
google avatar

Vicky C.

Yelp
The foods fresh. Bossam cut was too fatty for me. However, the ladies provided incredibly fast service, the banchan was fresh, and there was no wait time. Interior is clean.

Lorraine T.

Yelp
I was sooo disappointed with their food!! Flavor was lacking on the rib bone soup Galbi tang as well as the daengjang chigae. Has the ownership changed in recent years?? Unfortunately I won't be going back.
google avatar

Tae K.

Yelp
The Sul king tang was ok. The broth was watery and not as savory as some of the better places in k-town and portions are small and it came out barely warm Dine in is rather slow.

Yelp
Was feeling under the weather and some chicken soup sounded amazing. There weren't many options to choose from but this place seemed decent so stopped by on a weekday night. Parking: The lot is shared with a couple of other businesses so, during peak times, it can be difficult to find a spot. There is residential parking nearby within a couple of minutes of walking. Service: welcoming and nice, even if you're not Korean which is always a bonus. There were just 2 older ladies managing the register and other tables so please be respectful and understanding if they don't get to you right away. Food: Ordered the chicken soup and I have to say, the takeout containers they use are simply amazing. Drove home and with a couple of sudden stops where the bag actually flew and flipped over, I thought my dinner was done for but the box actually held everything together! Everything was held together perfectly even though I wasn't haha. There was actually a surprising amount of banchan included and altogether, it could be split into 2/3 meals. The soup was very comforting and cooked well. will definitely order this again next time. In this area, there are a couple of other options to compete with this place but just for the quality of everything alone, I would come back as a solid choice whether I'm under the weather or not.
google avatar

Marisa Y.

Yelp
Every time the weather gets gloomy, I always crave a nice hot bowl of soup. My father and I often come here for one thing and one thing only- their dogani tang, also known as the cow knee soup. I love it because the broth is hearty and the soup comes with lots of tendon and tender meat. The service is always quick, and the employees are attentive. I have been coming here for a couple of years now and the quality has always stayed the same. I also really enjoy the kimchi here the most because it's aged perfectly to compliment the soup. When you walk into the restaurant, it feels like you're being transported into a Korean grandma's house - it has such a homey feel to it. Parking can be a little tough on a weekend but there is also street parking available. They also accept card and cash!

Gabrielle P.

Yelp
This small but mighty restaurant is a gem! The service is amazing (& fast) and the food is AMAZING. I had the samgyetang and it was so delicious! I'm just sorry that I live so far away as I would be there every week if I lived closer. Please try this place, you won't regret it!!!
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
We often overlook this place because of all of the other shops in the plaza but we decided to come here for a quick dinner. The servers are nice and friendly but I don't know if it's because we came closer to closing but it's like they forgot about us. We had to ask for water, napkins and other things. I got the sul lung tang and I thought it was ok. It's a hearty soup which will definitely warm you up on a chilly night. I thought the noodles were a little on the soft side but the banchan selection was good. Maybe I'll have to come back another time and check out other things on the menu.
google avatar

Priscilla V.

Yelp
This place serves the most delicious sum lung tang and my favorite bibim cold noodles. The workers are so friendly and prepare the food perfectly every time. I always visit when I'm craving cold noodles because their spicy sauce is the perfect amount of spice and sweetness. I also love that it comes with a soup on the side.
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
I have tried several places in South Bay and so far this is the local Korean soup for something that is not spicy. My favorite is the cow knee soup. comes with side dishes. Kimchi, radish and other sides.
google avatar

Yammie B.

Yelp
Food is good. Just make sure that when you pay with a credit card, double check the charges before leaving. Its such a hassle to deal. I was charged several times for the same transaction. I went back the next day. The owner assured that it will be settled after a week. It happened in January. Well, months went by and nothing happened. Few phone calls and still none. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
Quite yummy korean food. Good variety. The whole family enjoyed it very much. Delicious side dishes and fresh watermelon slices for dessert.
google avatar

Emily Y.

Yelp
Best priced for scrumptious food! My kids and I loved the gomtang, seollangtang, bibim nengmyeon, and all the banchans! We ordered it all to-go and they did not skimp on the portions! We were able to eat it for lunch and dinner. Def will be coming back as a regular!!
google avatar

Ririmukit Kris L.

Yelp
Good as usual. Came here since Covid thing start. Now they do dine-in too. They don't have a lot of tables so plan first if you have a big party.
google avatar

William L.

Yelp
I always go here when I want Seolleongtang. The banchan selection is also very good. Service is efficient and never had to wait long and the place has an authentic Korean ambiance.
google avatar

Chrissy C.

Yelp
It's not quite as impeccable as Han Bat Sul Lung Tang, but if you live in the South Bay this definitely hits the spot. Broth is very very hearty and the ban Chan was really tasty too. Came on a Sunday night for a late dinner and was the only one, service is friendly and fast. Would definitely come back to try more of their dishes!
google avatar

Jocelyn P.

Yelp
This place is pretty good, and I like that they open pretty early on the weekends. I got a haejanggook (semi spicy soup with cabbage) and the hubby got a galbi tang (beef rib soup). We got it to go, they have about 3 tables outside but this is the type of food that's still good if you take it to go. I think I liked my haejanggook more than the hubby liked his food - the ribs come separately so they have more room for the soup but he just didn't like it as much. Their prices have definitely gone up in the last few years, so take a look at their most recent menu for prices.
google avatar

JoAnn H.

Yelp
Probably the best sulungtang place in South Bay. We loved JinKook Sulungtang but it closed down couple of years ago. This is the best place we found since~ The only negative is that their radish kimchi is inconsistent in taste.. one day it's sour, one day it's sweet.. Other than that, great service and love the soups~
google avatar

Rachel Y.

Yelp
Was looking for some soup in the early morning and found this gem again! I had ordered here once during peak quarantine when they were only doing take-out so I'm glad we got to dine in! FOOD: - hae jang gook +4.5/5 Known as the Korean "hangover soup," this soup delivered: it was hearty, steaming hot (served in a stone pot so that the soup stays hot throughout your meal,) and exactly what we needed. There were plenty of vegetables & meat in the soup also. While I couldn't finish my portion, because I got too full, my boyfriend gladly finished his and ate literally until the last drop of soup was gone. - side dishes/banchan +3.5/5 I personally think the banchan could have been a bit better. The kimchi was overripe and sour and some others were just average. SERVICE: - is fast! There was only server and around 7 groups walked in and were seated after us within 30 minutes. Yet, our waiter worked quickly and got all our food/banchan/check/waters on a timely manner. Overall, I'm so happy to have solidified a Korean soup spot and will be coming back to try the rest of their menu!

Yelp
My initial experiences with Korean cuisine was rocky. Not only did I not speak the language, I tried it without someone to guide me as to how to eat certain foods or what to order that more matched my taste preferences. Over time, that's changed and Korean food is one of my favorite foods; I just don't have it all the time. Skip forward to last week. I ended up here with a fellow Yelper (Niki S) after watching a movie (Joker) at a nearby theater. Parking can be challenging. We both were able to find parking however, the lot was pretty filled and available street parking looked to be scarce as well. Upside is that it's free - not metered. On each visit (twice), service has been great. Attentive and nice. Not complacent or rude. Refills not really needed as a pitcher of Barley Tea is left for the table. Banchan is regularly replenished, upon request. As for the food - Good size portions served hot, fresh and quick. There's a homemade feel for me which gave me a warm feeling each time I've eaten here. I've not been to Korea to feel comfortable stating whether it's authentic or not - however, on my first visit here, I dined with another fellow Yelper (Soy Y), who is Korean, and I trust her take. As for me, I'm a fan!

Jeff R.

Yelp
Great little Korean place. We always get SOUPS here. My wife orders Mandu to go (they make their own).

David W.

Yelp
Generally good food and wholesome. I had the spicy beef organ and vegetable soup, not much organs only for tripe, no liver, kidney or heart. The amount of tripe in the soup was small and apt of it was very chewy so you couldn't really swallow it, they need to include more variety and less of the indigestible organ parts
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
So glad we found this place! Was looking for yummy Korean soups that wasn't crazy expensive. This place has delicious soups, great service and a homey feel to it.
google avatar

Angela H.

Yelp
Stopped by this little hole in the wall place early on a Sunday morning in search of some homey comfort food. Service was efficient and quick- we received our side dishes and soups within ten minutes. Food was fantastic and we were offered free ban chan refills. Total bill was $33 for two people. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
Open 9:30am-9pm. Lots of parking in the lot. Next door to RB boba True traditional Korean hot soup. Great when it's cold out. They have a bowl of salt, where you can self add your own salt to your soup to your liking. Banchan- excellent selection, all fresh, and great tasting. And they refill the dishes too. #3 Galbi Tang (18.99) meat mixed. Great hearty broth. 2 large beef rib withnice large chunks of meat. And they have radish on side you can dip it in #1 seolleong tang mixed (13.99)- beef slices were good and if you like intestine, they were nice and soft.
google avatar

Eva L.

Yelp
We decided to give this place a try since it's next door to our favorite boba shop. We ordered the galbitang (Korean beef short rib soup) and it's pretty delicious. The short rib was flavorful though we wished that it would fall off the bone easily. Portion size is decent and they give you a decent amount of banchan (side dishes). Price can be a bit pricey, credit cards accepted, there's plenty of parking.
google avatar

Marie P.

Yelp
Looking for a hole in the wall place with authenticity? This place is a gem! You don't have to drive all the way out to K-town for seollungtang. My kids loved it, and I ordered kalbi tang (rib soup) and holy crap talk about generous portions! I chores Korean food isn't just KBBQ. We are a soup nation, and this is the heart of Korean food. Winter is coming, so come over here and enjoy yourself! This is an actual Asian place, so waitresses will not bother you unless you call for them to help you. Different service style, so just be aware. The food is so good. Give the place some love! I also really love the ggakddukgi (daikon radish kimchi) here. I would just buy a sh*t ton of it if I had the choice !
google avatar

Connie S.

Yelp
I usually don't go to Gardena for my Korean food fix but this occasion, I met up a friend here. I was pleasantly surprised. From the outside, the shopping plaza looks a bit run down. There is free parking with plenty of spaces. I don't think you will ever have trouble finding a spot here. I got the gamjatang (spicy pork neck soup) and it was delicious. There were a few varieties of banchan and they were more than happy to give refills. If I'm in the area, I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
I wanted to try a traditional galbitang and oh my goodness, this was delicious!!! This is technically my first "real" galbitang, so I don't have much to compare against. The broth is clear but still very flavorful. The portion size is pretty good and they don't skimp on meat or veggies. One could argue the meat by itself is plain but if you use their dipping sauce and eat with the marinated onion/radish - it's next level. The banchan that's provided is also pretty standard (in a tasty way!). I'll definitely be back. It seems to be a local favorite and I would love to try more on their menu.
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
What we have ordered: #1 seolleong tang #5 yukgaejung Reason of two stars: Lack flavor in soup and poor quality of beef. #5 (yugaejang) taste a lot better than #1. At least two of the side dishes do not taste fresh. Green onion is not fresh either Also, it's in a small plaza with limited parking space. You might have to find street parking near by. Overall, would not come back here for awhile.
google avatar

liz t.

Yelp
Yummy! They do korean soups the right way. Broth has alot of flavor and very tasty. They are generous with the meat in the soups. The side dishes are also delicious but wish they gave bigger size for togo orders. Will definitely be back.
