The Best Boba Shops In LA & The SGV - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Located in Westwood, Junbi is a favorite boba spot among UCLA students. While this place does offer a selection of classic milk teas and coffee, which you can get with boba and other toppings, they’re most famous for their matcha drinks. The owners put a lot of thought into the matcha they use and only source it from farms across Japan. Additionally, their matcha drinks come in 15 different flavors, ranging from a creamy blueberry to yuzu dragonfruit and rosewater. On top of that, there’s a small snack menu, featuring matcha soft serve and onigiri." - audrey fong

Google
"Prepare Daringly" is the Junbi founders' motto and you can find it prominently displayed at their Irvine location and at all their locations nationwide. I found their decor to be bright, colorful and eye-catching. I visited on Friday afternoon and had to wait a bit to be served, but David greeted and helped me when it was my turn. I was surprised Junbi had already been open two years and I had not heard of them before. I ordered the seasonal Golden Peach Matcha Latte and the Tsukudani Kelp Rice Ball. Their drink menu is overwhelming, but David helped me narrow down the choices and customize my drink which I found most refreshing. The peach flavor was blended in nicely with the matcha, and I could taste that the matcha was lighter and higher quality than what's available locally. I appreciated that they separated the nori (seaweed) from the rest of the rice ball so it remains crispy while you consume it. I was hungry so I scarfed it down but savored the flavor of the kelp, and my only wish is there was more of the kelp in the rice ball. If you’re looking for a place for a refreshing beverage and a small bite to eat, look no further!

Google
By far, the best matcha I’ve ever had combined with fruit (even gotten a few misses with strawberry at other places) and this place has executed perfectly. Ordered a few drinks: - Guava matcha latte - Mango matcha latte - Sakura lychee matcha latte I did add the house made almond jelly, but it was a little sweet for me so I’ll probably forgo it next time. Staff were friendly and nice! Easy parking.

Google
Soo disappointed after my husband gave me one rice ball I went to get the second one and notice they wrap their hot rice balls in A LOT of saran wrap. Basically putting everyone who eats their rice balls in danger of toxic chemicals. Love their teas but find this super disappointing 😞

Google
This shop has teas, little bites and ice cream. Came for the bobo tea and ordered a guava match latte. They use real milk here, but have non dairy option. The matcha guava was a nice blend and with boba hit the spot. I ordered it with 0 sugar and for me it was sweet enough already. I need to come back and try the ice cream one day.

I've tried a lot of Junbi's on the west coast, so I decided to try the Irvine location since I was in the area. Location itself was good. Still don't prefer kiosk ordering since it takes awhile to navigate. I ordered: -cold matcha with boba $6.25, pricier side, wasn't as smooth as I would have preferred -salmon sushi $3.75, pricier side, but good snack There is some seating inside. Overall, not a bad spot to stop by. Easy parking in the plaza.

Google
The strawberry chrysanthemum tea was not too sweet and was a large size at 7.00. However, I don't recommend this place to have online meetings at because the noise level in here is pretty loud via the music they play. Its a shame because they do have two large size outlets for you to charge your devices as necessary, plus free wifi. I think I'd only come here for the drinks and thats it.

Google
Tbh, it might be a bit overrated… drinks and soft serve are way too sweet. We got: - Dirty Taro Vanilla Matcha Latte, less ice, less sweet : tasted like drinking syrup without any matcha… dirty = adding espresso, but no coffee taste at all. Everything I taste was like a strong vanilla milk with taro paste. Really don’t recommend this $9 “matcha”. - Cocao Cascade (matcha vanilla swirl w/ light hojicha dusting, boba, red beans, a LITTLE cacao nibs): the sweetest soft serve I’ve ever had. Matcha flavor did not stand out and the whole combination was just overly sweet. Again, not worth the $8!

Camryn N.

Google
The drinks are pretty good but be sure to reduce sweetness since their items can get pretty sweet! First time I had a matcha latte reduced sweetness and it was really good and second time I had a matcha blend normal sweetness and it tasted like vanilla ice cream (I couldn’t taste the matcha)

Yelp
Had an opportunity to check this place out and it did not disappoint. I'm so honest I don't regularly have matcha unless it's a hot tea, but in wanted to try their cold duck with mango flavoring. It was pretty tasty, and even though it's not my thing, if try a different flavor just for fun. Was l this place was clean and the lyb took my order right away while another couple was using the self order system. Very friendly and pleasant service. I had no idea that I would seriously enjoy the right ball. In just the salmon rice ball and i wanted to take it home and enjoy, but I decided to get into it to taste it in the car. Needles to say I ate it all in the hat because it was warm and really good. That actually was the star of my trip. I ate it so quickly I didn't do too take a picture. Trust me, you should get a rice ball. Enjoy!

Yelp
Food/Drink 3.5/5: Came for the matcha soft-serve only to find out that they were all out! Super disappointed, but considering we had come all the way, we got some drinks instead. The strawberry matcha was delicious, but the Madagascar Vanilla matcha latte was just alright and not something I would order again. The drink was a little chalky which I'm not used to with high quality matcha drinks. Service 4/5: Service was very quick, but disappointed that basically half their menu was unavailable by 7pm. Price $$: We paid about $8 per drink

Yelp
Junbi is currently having a collab with BT21 so you know I had to check it out. I got the BT21 galaxy coffee latte with no sweetness. I don't like my drinks overly sweet or sugary. The taste was fantastic and I love myself some purple potato and black sesame. Those two are my weakness and having it with espresso was heavenly. I tried to order the drink through the machines but they didn't offer the BT21 galaxy series drink there or the merch. I went to the counter to order my drink and got one of the blind box glass drinkware. They had all the BT21 characters out on display and it was SO SO cute. I loved all the merch but it was really pricey so I only got one blind box. There's limited seating inside since the BT21 display took up the front of the store. There is plenty of seating outside as well, which is where we chilled out.

Yelp
The vibes here are so welcoming -- bright yellows, cozy, and super cutesy! Perfect spot if you love cheerful, aesthetic cafés. I got the Guava Matcha (regular sweet) and really enjoyed it -- the flavor was refreshing and balanced. My friend tried the Blueberry Matcha (regular sweet) and rated it 3/5, saying it tasted a bit watery but still cute for photos. I choose the "less sweet" option for my Guava drink as well! It does taste a little bit watered down, It was both of our drinks, other than that! Overall, great atmosphere, friendly service, and such happy energy inside. Definitely coming back to try more drinks!

Yelp
Came by to try out the tea. Originally ordered the peach green tea. To find out that they had ran out of peach topping for my drink. So the staff asked if I'd like to change my order. Ended up with the yuzu dragonfruit tea instead. The drink was presented very nicely with the color contrast. The boba was chewy and not mushy. The place was in bright and cheery with lots of yellow throughout the place. Decent amount of seating for us to enjoy our order here.

Yelp
Came by with a friend a little after 5pm on a Monday afternoon in July, and there was no line! Only a couple of other customers were there, so it was pretty quiet. There were two tablets available for ordering, but if you go up to the cashier, they'll add an extra shot of matcha free of charge. - Matcha Latte (less ice, less sweet, whole milk) - refreshing and not too sweet, but I was disappointed that it was more of a matcha-milk drink and not a really concentrated matcha type of drink. My friend was not a fan - Matcha Vanilla Swirl Soft Serve with Red Bean - definitely much stronger flavor compared to the matcha latte. I think the vanilla overpowers the matcha a bit, and if you try this before drinking the matcha latte, I don't think you'll like the matcha latte much haha Overall thought it wasn't bad, but I've heard people rave about Junbi, so I'm wondering if I didn't order correctly. They have a couple of locations near SF so willing to give it another shot!

Yelp
I visited on a Sunday. It was nice and quiet. There are a few seats so I wouldn't say to roll in with a big group unless you plan on taking it to go. Team member was very kind and helpful explaining the different matcha drinks and topping options. She recommended going less sweet which was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet. I got the blended matcha strawberry drink. My husband got the golden peach blended matcha and they were both good! The strawberry did have more vanilla flavor but the golden peach was super peachy - delicious! Not sure why it's not talked about more tbh! If you're looking for good matcha I'd recommend Junbi!

Yelp
I visited Junbi Matcha on a Thursday afternoon when there were only a handful of people there. There was parking available right outside the store which made stopping by super convenient. I got Junbi recommended to me as the place to try hojicha for the first time, so I ordered the hojicha latte while my friend I was with got the lychee oolong tea with milk & a salmon rice ball. The hojicha did not disappoint. I might decrease the sweetness next time, but it was still very good. I appreciate the generous cup size & the wide variety of drink options--it definitely made it difficult not to order another. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their drinks!

Yelp
Plenty of parking. Not as many seats inside though. Free wifi. So many choices for matcha. They only use high end match powder form a single farm in Uji. The strawberry matcha latte was pretty good. I tried the guava matcha cold brew. I forgot to ask for less sugar. Was a little too sweet for me. The yuzu dragonfruit refresher was excellent even without any sugar. My favorite was probably the matcha soft serve. So good. I feel like it was as good as any we had in Kyoto/Uji.

Yelp
This place has such a cute aesthetic but that is unfortunately the only thing going for it because the matcha flavor is nonexistent in the drinks. I tried the location in Hawaii before and ordered the Madagascar vanilla matcha latte. It was just a vanilla drink, absolutely no matcha flavor at all. We decided to try and give our home state's Junbi a chance and we were utterly disappointed. I ordered a matcha latte with coconut milk and an extra shot of matcha in hopes that it would help with the flavor and because it was free for that day lol! Suuuuuuper disappointing! Just slightly sweetened water with the faintest hint of matcha flavor. 2/5 Overall, I really don't understand why this place is so popular. I've been to 2 locations already and they both had the same problem with their drinks. For a place that specializes in matcha drinks, their matcha lattes are not good. It's especially sad because their drinks are on the pricier side too. I'd spend your money elsewhere for a good matcha latte.

Yelp
Super delicious! I got the dirty matcha latte. I believe it's matcha and coffee mix(?) but it was super delicious! Probably will keep you up at night so beware. I would like to try out their soft serve next time. Inside has limited seatings. There are kiosks where you place your order and pay. Interior is clean. They also sell some merch and matcha powders I believe. Outside, there's plenty of parking. Will definitely be back to try out other items!

Yelp
Junbi is a great place to get drinks or snacks. My favorite drink is the mango refresher which is absolutely delicious and refreshing. The menu also features other fruit drinks, milk teas, and coffees. The menu also has rice balls for snack. They have various options for the filling such as mentaiko, salmon, crab, and kelp. My favorite flavor is the mentaiko. They each have a very generous portion of filling, which I like. I just wish that they wrapped it for you. The cashier is very friendly as well. I like the decor inside.

Yelp
I love this place so much !!! This is probably my 4th time getting this place but my first time ordering in person and I must say they know how to make these drinks . I love the topping choices that they have to offer and their matcha drinks are amazing . Super refreshing and never bitter after taste . I wish they had crystal boba as one of their topping choices but it's still delicious either way. I love how spacious this place is perfect for when the it gets crowded but there's not a lot of seating inside tho gotta get lucky if you want to make sure you have somewhere to sit if you come here with group of friends . The service is pretty quick you can either order at the kiosk or at the cash register. Either way you will get served and your drinks out right away. I love the how quick they made my drinks tho . I ordered at the kiosk and about 5 10 mins later boom my drinks were ready. But gotta keep in mind it wasn't busy when I went so I don't know how it is during their busier hours. But all and all this place is amazing have welcoming vibes and perfect place to help cool you off in warm/hot weather. THANK YOU JUNBI ! For serving amazing boba drinks ! 10/10 I recommend ‍‍

Yelp
Junbi is a convenient location if you are craving matcha. The menu is extensive and includes other types of tea and coffee, however they are most known for their matcha. I actually find the matcha too light and it could use more matcha flavor, but as I mentioned, the location is convenient and a good choice if I'm in a pinch. Casual. Indoor and outdoor seating. Order via kiosk or in person. Good service. Easy parking. Please come and create your own adventure.

Yelp
I went to Junbi in May and was surprised by their spring miffy theme! They have some collab merch which was so cute and have a whole set of seasonal drinks on their menu. I didn't get any of the seasonal drinks lol oops. We got the strawberry matcha latte and the dirty taro vanilla matcha latte. The strawb matcha kinda reminded me of strawberry jam lol but in a good way. The matcha flavor wasn't too strong here, but it was still an enjoyable drink. Same with the taro one- it was a unique drink and tasted good. Honestly, this wouldn't be my go to for a proper, creamy, strong matcha, but I admire the variety on their menu. Their menu is HUGE! They have tons of drinks and dessert options. I will definitely be back- it looks really good!!! I went here to see if it was a good study spot, and it was! It was so chill, as it's a smaller space, so it wasn't crazy busy either. They have good seating, tables, and some outlets. Honestly, I was just obsessed with the spring miffy theme

Mia P.

Yelp
This was my favorite matcha place since they opened. I don't know what happened to their original matcha. Flavor and consistency have been off for the past few months. It's not Junbi matcha. They must be sourcing from other places. On top of that, their matcha ratio in their drinks is all over the place. Eyeballing is not the way. Some are way too strong and some I can't even taste the matcha.
google avatar

Sharon T.

Yelp
The matcha drinks here are delicious and I love the vibes of the cafe! There's some small tables, but otherwise not much by way of seating. They have a self-serve ordering system which is nice and efficient, and the drinks are prepared pretty quickly. I really enjoy their Miffy collab drinks so far - the sakura lychee is delicious! I've had the sakura lychee matcha latte and I enjoyed the mostly matcha flavor that I got from it with a light lychee flavor and lychee bits. I couldn't taste a ton of sakura but it does have a very light floral aftertaste. I also purchased their matcha to make matcha drinks at home and it tastes great as well!
google avatar

Marina L.

Yelp
Came to this cute cafe with my friends for some delicious, refreshing drinks! The staff were friendly and took our orders quickly. I really liked the fruity matcha drinks, and the drinks on the Miffy collab menu was a nice balance of floral and fruity.
google avatar

Roben B.

Yelp
Junbi does Matcha beverages and ice cream very well because they use Ceremonial grade matcha. I really enjoy their Mango and Guava Matcha Lattes. They have a simple selection of toppings and milk alternatives which is appreciated. The Matcha soft serve has a very deep matcha flavor just like the drinks, but it melts very fast. Not as big a fan of their loose leaf tea selection. It was good to try, but that's definitely not what we come here for! Service: Everyone that works here has always been very nice and communicative. Ambiance: The inside is very spacious as there is minimal seating. On busier nights there are definitely a lot of people standing around. There is a lot of seating outside where the food court is, but not directly outside of the storefront.

Yelp

Ordered a few drinks: - Guava matcha latte - Mango matcha latte - Sakura lychee matcha latte I did add the house made almond jelly, but it was a little sweet for me so I'll probably forgo it next time. Staff were friendly and nice! Loved how they added decor for the Miffy spring specials.

Yelp
Steep Thoughts: Florence's Quest for (Her) Perfect Black Milk Tea Black milk tea: 1/2. I got the House Black Tea with fresh dairy, less sweet, less ice. The black tea blend is very fragrant with toasted and malty notes. This drink is less creamy than I personally prefer because it uses fresh milk rather than non-dairy creamer, but it's pleasant and not watery. Other drinks: 1/1. This shop clearly focuses on matcha as matcha drinks take up half the menu. However, they still have a good variety of milk teas, fruit teas, non-caffeinated options, and coffee drinks. They even have soft serve and rice balls if you want snacks. Ambiance: 1/1. Very pleasant with bright decor in citrus colors and several tables and chairs. Free password-protected WiFi! Great place to work. Service: 1/1. Order at two digital kiosks or at the counter. Drinks come out quickly. Total: 4/5
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
Come here for the soft serve & the matcha. DON'T come here for the tea. I tried a plain oolong tea and a plain black tea. Both were ridiculously bitter. Soft serve was bomb though. Plenty of parking since it's in a plaza
google avatar

Nicole H.

Yelp
Their matcha and vanilla swirl with red bean topping dusted with cocoa powder is cool, refreshing, and yummy. It's not too sweet, though, the vanilla is sweeter than the matcha. I think next time I'm just gonna get all matcha. The only downside is that it is hollow in the middle instead of completely filled. $6 for the cup and a nice way to cool down during a heat wave. Service was fine, and it was very nicely air-conditioned. The interior is cute and minimalistic. I can see it being nice to study there if it's not crowded. The music is also always hip.
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
After lunch was feeling some good ole boba in this plaza. Saw this boba place and decided to try it. There was a short line to ordering at the machine. They seemed pretty busy. Everything looks matcha oriented, which I'm not a matcha person and opted for the black tea with milk (milk tea), my go to drink for any boba place. When I got it, it wasn't pre mix, like the black tea was at the bottom, milk top half, I shook it and it then looked like a normal milk tea. The taste is very tea oriented strong, I like it bc I know it's real and not a powder! The boba could use some work. Initially when you taste the boba it was good and soft, but when you got to the center, it felt a little undercooked or hard or stale. I would return if I were in the same plaza for some milk tea.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
Got the brown sugar milk iced boba at 75% sweetness. So good! We tried ordering from the kiosk but they didn't have the basic drinks (or we couldn't find them) so we ordered at the counter. The order came out lightening fast! By the time we found a seat to wait for our drink it was ready ! Cute place to enjoy your drink. Regular boba prices (around $6).
google avatar

Joy C.

Yelp
It was busy for a weekday, they only had 2 associates behind the counter. They had Miffy merchandise, which was cute and also specialty drinks. I ordered a matcha latte with less ice and it was nice and refreshing. I forgot to ask for less sugar as well. Thankfully, it wasn't overly sweet. Can't wait to try their other drinks.
google avatar

Natasha T.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Junbi when it was Sip Matcha back in LA at Smorgasburg, and to have them here in OC and soon to be in San Diego is a worldwind. (Also, they have a location in Hawaii, can't wait to head back there) Their matcha to me by far the best one, I mean, this is how I get my monthly matcha tin to make it at home. I live in between OC and San Diego, so any chance I get it, I stock up and get a couple of drinks before leaving. Now this location doesn't have much seating and it's first come, first serve and I see alot of people come in with their laptop to study or do work while have their drink of matcha, seating is limited but there are outside seating in the plaza. Since we got there at 11AM, there were still seating for us to sit and talk for a bit before hitting up a local KBBQ spot in the plaza. I always get their Matcha drink, no milk, normal sweet and my friend got the Guava Matcha and 10/10. Now if you wanted to do more, my friend and I head over to the katsu bar, in the same plaza, got a strawberry sando and head back to junbi for the matcha ice cream to make a summer combo and that was delicious. (pssssshhh Joe or David are reading this you should definitely add the matcha rice krispy, the rice ball and rice bowl are hella good.) The services was fast, we came here on friday exactly at 11am when they open but second customer, ordered on the kiosk and food came out decently as we were not in a rush, just wanted to get our matcha fix before eating kbbq. I got my friends and family hooked on Junbi, so much that my niece who lives in New Jersey got her going to Princeton location. I love seeing this wonderful company growing and franchising all over United States, and I hope there would be a NYC location in the future. Congrats on the Forbes list by the way!
google avatar

CJ C.

Yelp
Great boba, easy to order, and they're quick to bring the drinks out. Nice inside and great hot and cold options! Would come back again!
google avatar

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Still my favorite matcha boba spot in Irvine but extremely disappointed with my recent visit. The seal they put on their drinks often are not sealed all the way and can cause leaking. Usually they put a cap over the drink to prevent this but when I got to my car to shake my drink it spilled all over myself and the car. I was already on the way home so I did not feel like driving back and when I gave my second drink to my friend, her drink also was not sealed properly and spilled everywhere. This happens way too often with the seal not being covered. Please fix your machines.
google avatar

Gwyneth N.

Yelp
Strawberry refresher 5/5 Matcha latte 5/5 The miffy collab was so cute and the drinks were amazing while being not too sweet! A great study place but it is a little packed, and clean bathroom! I would say the rice ball was good and an easy snack if you're on the go! Overall give it a try!
google avatar

Maheen K.

Yelp
I went here after hearing some good personal reviews but ended up not liking two out of the three drinks. I got the brow sugar milk boba with added tea and my daughter got the mango juice with boba. She hated her drink. It was flat out nasty. They had told me when ordering they Pulp out the mango for the juice and I am not sure if it was just old juice but we had three different people try it and everyone agreed on tossing it. Sad. My drink is a simple drink also but I have had way better. This lacked so much. Very disappointed that I spend close to $25 for 3 drinks and did not enjoy them.
google avatar

William M.

Yelp
After our Shabu dinner, across the plaza, my brother recommended coming here to try out the drinks. First thing - I'm not a big fan of matcha. I picked the sea salt caramel banana latte - hoping that the matcha would be masked. Unfortunately, I was wrong. If you're a matcha fan, this is the place for you. The rest of my family enjoyed their drinks and have been back. They have a couple of kiosks and you place your order and pay using the kiosk. Our drinks didn't take long. It'll be a pass for me, but my family have been back
google avatar

Finn N.

Yelp
Tried both the soft serve and the drinks here. The soft serve was not what I expected in that it almost tasted like it had an oat milk base rather than dairy, but it was still pretty good. The drinks were the highlight for me (especially the matcha options): the matcha taste is very clear and not watered down, while the strawberry and guava purée are very fresh and flavorful. Their boba is also quite chewy and enjoyable with the rest of the drink. They also had the snow crab rice ball available, so I ordered one and I was not let down as the flavor was great and pretty well-seasoned. I will strongly consider coming back in the future to have their matcha lattes again.
google avatar

Lara C.

Yelp
I was very excited to try Junbi; despite being branded as a matcha shop, I didn't taste it in my drink. I ordered ahead of time and it was done when I came to pick it up. It took me a couple minutes to get there so it's nice the drinks were done fast. The inside of the shop was also very cute. I ordered a taro vanilla matcha latte with regular sweetness and less ice. It was very disappointing; I barely tasted any matcha and the vanilla was way too overpowering. It felt like I was drinking a vanilla drink. The taro wasn't also very good. They were very small and it hard to taste them because of the vanilla flavor. Overall, the drink wasn't that great. I would try it less sweet next time to see if the vanilla flavor is less prominent.
google avatar

Jim V.

Yelp
Was on a mission to look for matcha drinks in OC. Ordered matcha guava and Matcha strawberry. I upgraded to the ceremonial matcha on both drinks! The guava matcha was 5/5 the combination was a good blend. You get hit with the fruity sweetness of the guava. The strawberry was alright. You order from the kiosks and can make various adjustments to the drinks which is a good thing. Service was quick and good. Overall, would come back to get other flavors when in the area!
google avatar

Alyssa T.

Yelp
A great spot for matcha in Irvine. They have a variety of drinks and soft serve options available. You order off of the kiosks/screens and it's nice to be able to see pictures of all of their menu options. My favorite drink is by far the cold guava matcha latte. I appreciate that they have options to substitute the milk.
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
Drinks are very customizable. I would recommend ordering ahead for pickup (usually the drinks seem to be ready before the stated time so make sure to ask at the counter). Love that they give you so many options for your drinks. If I want a midday pick-me-up drink I love that I can order ahead to pick it up (major plus)! My go-to drink is the strawberry matcha latte. If u want to relax & enjoy ur drink it's def an option being that there are tables available inside. It's not too loud inside.

Yelp
So happy to see there is now a junbi in Irvine! I first tried junbi in Oahu and I've thought of it ever since. Junbi specializes in matcha drinks mixed with fresh juice. They also offer onigiri and a large variety of mixed soft serve. I've tried the POG(a Hawaii exclusive), the strawberry matcha and the orange creamsicle matcha latte. All the drinks I've tried here are extremely refreshing. The matcha is always the perfect shade of green. Drinks are served in a large cup and come out to around $7.50 after tax. The location is very spacious with plenty of standing room and parking. There are however, only about 4-5 tables to sit at. You can order at the front with a cashier or self checkout at one of the two monitors.
google avatar

Arthur T.

Yelp
I've tried a lot of Junbi's on the west coast, so I decided to try the Irvine location since I was in the area. Location itself was good. Still don't prefer kiosk ordering since it takes awhile to navigate. I ordered: -cold matcha with boba $6.25, pricier side, wasn't as smooth as I would have preferred -salmon sushi $3.75, pricier side, but good snack There is some seating inside. Overall, not a bad spot to stop by. Easy parking in the plaza.

Yelp
My friends and I visited Junbi around 3 PM on a Saturday and were able to find two tables without much trouble. We ordered at the kiosk, and my partner and I shared a cold Madagascar vanilla matcha latte with oat milk, along with an onigiri rice ball filled with snow crab. The drink was pretty good! The Madagascar vanilla flavor stood out, kinda to the point of overshadowing the matcha. We didn't mind, but if you're a matcha purist, you might prefer a simpler drink to better evaluate the quality of the matcha. There's also an option to add a ceremonial matcha shot, which might enhance the matcha flavor if that's your priority. The onigiri was freshly made and thoughtfully packaged with crispy seaweed on the side, ensuring it stays crisp if you decide to eat it later. It was warm and satisfying, especially in today's colder weather. However, the snow crab filling was a bit underwhelming, though understandable given its delicacy. My friend ordered the salmon onigiri felt the same and said he tasted more of furikake than the filling itself. Overall, Junbi didn't blow me away, but I'd definitely be open to trying more items from their menu in the future.

Yelp
Tried the Sakura Lychee Matcha cold brew with less ice and a splash of cream. Loved it! Appreciate a spacious and clean shoppe with helpful matcha baristas!

Yelp
Junbi is having a Miffy Collab with Lychee and Sakura! I got my boyfriend and I the Miffy Sakura Lychee Green Tea but on the tablet, it was automatically adding the milk, so it's actually a milk tea. I think also got the Sakura Lychee Slush too. Has actual lychee too!

Yelp
Boyfriend & I like coming to Junbi! Order: Matcha Cold Brew with Strawberry puree (no syrup sweetener) and Matcha Cold Brew 25% sweet Ambiance: Spacious interior, a few tables and chairs, low to moderate noise level. They have window shades to use when it gets too sunny. Clean tables and cute decor. Service: They have two kiosks or a cashier available to order. When we first visited we had a few questions and the cashier was helpful. After frequent visits, we know what we want and use the kiosk. Our drinks are always accurate and wait time isn't long. Taste: The cold brew matcha really brings out the earthy matcha taste since its made with water instead of milk! On a hot sunny day, I add strawberry chunks and puree for a refreshing taste that doesn't feel too sugary.

Yelp
I came her with my sister because we heard they had really good matcha or was known for their matcha drinks. I got the taro vanilla latte and my sister got the strawberry matcha latte, both at 50% sweetness. The matcha was ok but it was way too sweet. I'm not sure if the workers didn't catch the 50% sweetness or if this was how 50% sweetness was supposed to be. I think the sweetness really took away from the matcha and taro flavor in my drink. My sister liked her drink even though she said hers was too sweet too. They have a kiosk you can order at so there wasn't a lot of interactions with them but they were friendly when the drinks came out. A lot of people were studying there so there weren't a lot of open seats. It seems like a really nice place to talk and catch up with friends since it's not too loud with the music or anything. I would give this place another chance on the drinks if I'm in the area but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service, delicious soft serve. Got their vanilla soft serve with Hoijicha powder (here they call it "dusting"). Came here for the soft serve because a near by location's choice's machine was broken. Also tried their iced matcha latte with guava, not bad. Just wish alt. milk wasn't +$1.25.

Yelp
Second time here to get something sweet after lunch or dinner. Brought my coworkers here and everyone enjoyed their beverages. I got the guava Matcha tea latte. I really liked the taste and the Bobas were chewy and soft, just the way I like them. Definitely would try other drinks on the menu. Staff are nice enough and it's cute inside and it looks like they change up their decorations.

Yelp
We came here for the miffy collab and it was so cute! We had the lychee Sakura matcha miffy drink and the lychee oolong miffy tea, and my daughter got the strawberry + vanilla milk. The miffy drinks are pretty but slightly too sweet even though we ordered less sweet. The strawberry milk was very yummy though! The Miffy merch is also super cute too.

Yelp
I'm not a huge fan of matcha tea but I tried it with a friend who was. The inside had such a cute aesthetic and decorations (it was during the miffy collaboration). I came around 7 on a Monday night and it wasn't too busy. We got our orders after about 5-10 minutes. I ordered a hot guava matcha latte since I felt like drinking something nice and warm. I didn't expect it to be so delicious! The guava wasn't too profound to overtake the flavor and gave just the right amount of sweetness to the drink. I would love to try other drinks but I typically stick with the same drinks so we'll see.

Yelp
Very solid Matcha spot and definitely more on the sweeter side. I think they are mixed drinks with Matcha and strawberry or other add-ons are pretty yummy. I've tried their Matcha tins and it's definitely not as good and extremely pricey considering the quality but coming in and ordering a Boba drink is always pretty good.
