"Rico Birndt, who made a name for himself at Munich's mural farmhouse, has come up with a modern, sustainable concept that makes vegetables the heart of the meal. In addition to two surprise menus – one comprising seven courses and the other 11 courses – there is a small à la carte selection. Canned, cured and pickled ingredients also have their role to play. The airy, modern interior and the relaxed atmosphere are certainly inviting, the large window front provides a view of the outside. There are a few seats at the small bar – here, jars of preserves are part of the decoration, in keeping with the philosophy of the house. Absolutely blown away by this place. We came across it by accident and ended up having the best 12-course dinner of the most innovative, delicious and mind-blowing food. Chef is incredibly creative, using only locally sourced ingredients and putting his own twist on every single dish.

We had dinner at June in Übersee and it was a real highlight. The setting is modern yet relaxed, with a great atmosphere and a beautiful outdoor terrace full of herbs they actually use in the kitchen. We went for the 12 course menu and was really impressed by how seasonal and locally focused everything was — creative without being over the top. You can really tell that there's passion behind every dish. If you're near Chiemsee and looking for something special without it feeling too formal, I'd definitely recommend it.

Sehr gutes Essen, was mich durchaus oft überrascht hat. Die Gänge waren sehr abwechslungsreich und es hat mich immer wieder beeindruckt wie viel man aus Gemüse rausholen kann. Der Fleisch Gang war leider der schwächste Gang. Die alkoholfreie Wein Begleitung hat wunderbar funktioniert. Wir hatten uns für die 12 Gänge entschieden. Im Nachhinein wären wahrscheinlich 8 Gänge auch ausreichend gewesen, da man auf jeden Fall sehr satt wird.
Der Service war sehr freundlich und wir wurden haben uns wohl gefühlt.
Die Atmosphäre war etwas kühl und am Fenster zog ein kleiner Windzug. Die hohen Decken und die großen Abständen zwischen den Tischen haben den Raum etwas leer erscheinen lassen.
Wir hatten insgesamt einen sehr schönen Abend und würden uns freuen mal immer auf der Terrasse zu sitzen. Reservieren sollte man grundsätzlich mit Vorlaufzeit da Tische sehr begehrt sind.
