Both Miami and The Keys Loosen Curfew Restrictions | Eater Miami

"Mentioned alongside Zoo Miami as an open-air amusement attraction that can resume operations at 50 percent capacity, Jungle Island’s reopening is part of a broader easing — which also includes tour boats running at 50 percent and parks being allowed to hold night games again — reflecting South Florida’s decreasing COVID-19 numbers over the past two months." - Olee Fowler

Went for Luminosa last night and had a great time! The lights are gorgeous and our entire family had so much fun. We love that they change it up every year so it's different each time you go and this year was beautiful! They also have a great Christmas section this year with gorgeous Christmas trees and themed treats. Parking is separate from your ticket entrance so keep that in mind

Google
Luminosa at Jungle Island is nice, but definitely on the mediocre side. The lantern displays are colorful and make for good photos, but the whole experience is pretty quick — about a 30-minute walkthrough. Parking is also pricey at $20, on top of the ticket cost, which feels steep for such a short visit. It’s worth seeing once if you’re already nearby, but I wouldn’t call it a must-do. Overall, a pleasant experience, just not quite worth the total cost.

Our family of 5 attended jungle Island while visiting Miami before a cruise. We enjoyed the animals that were on display that all looked to be in good health and content with their environment. The decor was nice and would have been nice to have seen the light show and exhibitions at night. Staff were very interactive and friendly. We especially enjoyed the capaberas, owls, and the various monkeys. Parking being significantly extra was probably the biggest disappointment for us and would reduce the amount of times we would attend in the future.

The Jungle Island light show was absolutely magical! The installations were stunning, vibrant, and full of detail — every corner felt like stepping into a fantasy world. The atmosphere was fun, safe, and perfect for enjoying with family. Everything was well organized, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout the experience. I loved it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and memorable night out.

Google
Everything in this park looks magnificent and beautiful, but I'm really surprised that parking costs $20 at the entrance and you have to pay another $20 at the exit, otherwise the barrier won't open. And, of course, you have to buy tickets. $125 for us (one child and three adults) came out to $125. So be prepared to pay $40 for parking.

Google
Oh this place was awesome!! I loved the animals, the aviary, the tree treks. I took my 5 y/o and 1 y/o and they loved it. Petting the turtles inside the aviary made them so happy! Be aware though, the parking is an extra $20.00

Google
This place was awesome! Kind of like a small zoo but the REAL experience is the Lemur Experience. Getting to feed and hangout with the cute little Lemurs was an experience of a lifetime. Highly recommend if you're able to stop by.

Recently visited The Jungle Island while on a trip to Miami. We payed for the lemur encounter and it was totally worth it! Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative and he made everything even better! Definitely a must-visit 😊

Yelp
We visited Jungle Island on a weekday and it was a pleasant experience. Not overcrowded at all and most of the guests were part of kindergarten and elementary school field trip groups. Parking was $20. They were setting up for the light show and putting up holiday decor, which I'm sure is going to be beautiful. I enjoyed the live animal show and thought the entire place was well kept and clean. The aviary featured lots of macaws and tortoises. Their place grounds are very cool and features lots of natural materials to blend in with the landscape. Older kids have the option so doing their canopy walks and zip lines. There really is something here for all ages. This is a great place to spend with kids for about half a day. One slight downside was the limited food options available when we were there.

Yelp
TAKE NOTE!! I suffered so you wouldn't have to!! Disclaimer : I signed up for the thrill seeker trek. If you want your heart rate to be in the 100 and have fun, do it. In the thrill seeker there are 4 courses total: easy, medium, hard and WTH. The first two ones are lower and kinda prepare you for what to come. You are hooked the whole time so it's completely safe. Here are my suggestions 1- Do it EARLY . I did it at 12 and it was HOT, the line was hot, I was sweating like crazy, I finished my water before I made it to the 3rd course. 2- BRING GLOVES: I had long nails so I lost 3 of them and the cable was hot so I also hurt my hand and I did not stop yall. 3- Bring WATER . After every course you can drink some and will definitely need it. 4- If you are doing the thrill seeking, get ready to work your upper body. That is not a joke. The blue line is crazy and I was praying to make it out because I was drained after all 3 courses. 5- I honestly suggest gym outfits. I took my shirt off half way because I was sweating in pores I didn't know existed. *that was my very first time. I am not used to all that. Would I do it again??? YESSSS no second thoughts specially now I know what to expect. Would I come more prepared: DEFINITELY. Overall: get ready to have fun, do the explorer trek as starters if you don't know what you can handle. I don't know when to stop so please don't do the whole thing if you're not sure.

Yelp
I left feeling jibbed. There were no zoo animals when we were here. I wish I could have received a refund because the only animals I saw were the talking parrot, more parrots, a few monkeys, a little white fox in a log, fish, lemur... that's it. Skipped the insects because I don't have any interest in them. I have seen more animals at a golf course than my time at this zoo island. Perhaps I came at an off day? But I was so bored. The only interaction I experienced was talking to the parrot saying "hello!", and the fish eating the seeds that I had to buy for additional charge to feed them. It was a let down experience when I came to visit Miami. I don't recommend it. Also, it was so pricey. Let alone the ticket, but also the two types of food for the fish. I bought the expensive packet as the employee told me this is healthier and more enjoyable rather than the low cost option. I don't want to feed them not tasty food. I would not come back.

Yelp
Cute experience for kids - went on a weekday so it wasn't crowded - animal show was educational and cute - they offer packages which include animal encounters but we didn't feel the need to do that. Nice activity!

Yelp
Jungle Island holds a lot of sentimental value for me. I have fond memories of visiting the original Parrot Jungle location with my dad as a child. Now that I have a son of my own, I was excited to share a piece of that experience with him. We've visited Jungle Island twice so far, and both times, my son had a blast. Our favorite part of the park so far is the kids' splash area. It's a perfect way to cool off and let the kids burn some energy, and it's what we plan to take advantage of the most this summer. Conveniently, the splash zone is located right near the food trucks, which offer some surprisingly good options, making it an ideal lunch spot while the kids play. That said, I do think the park feels a bit underwhelming unless there's a special event or themed night happening. The experience becomes much more enjoyable if you're willing to spend a little extra on animal encounters or the petting zoo as those activities really enhance the visit. I would love to see more interactive, kid-friendly experiences that don't come with a hefty price tag, as well as improvements to the animals' enclosures to make them more spacious and stimulating. A few small upgrades could go a long way in elevating the overall atmosphere. One highlight this summer was their "Buy One Day, Come Back All Year" offer, which we definitely took advantage of. It's perfect for families looking to stretch their summer fun. I truly hope to see some new additions or renovations in the near future, but for now, we're making the most of it and enjoying the moments we can create together.

Yelp
The treatment of the animals is so sad. They are secluded and kept in small places. You know it's bad when the workers (mentioning the sloth) stated that they're not meant to be alone and separated. Don't support

Yelp
Jungle Island had a Luminosa display during Christmas, and our family went. It was great. Beautiful illuminations, and an absolutely fabulous show with Chinese performers where children participated, and they had lots of fun. One of the performers did a Chinese Face-Changing routine that was amazing. A Christmas Village with costumed carolers and a mini Café inside was also located inside the venue.

Yelp
Jungle Island was a pretty interesting place to visit in terms of how it's all operated, but I'm always a little sad to see animals in any form of captivity. I was on a tour planned by friends and I didn't know what it all was before going. I will say that the staff who were handling the animals did very much seem like animal lovers themselves and that they really cared about the animals they worked with. In a few spots there were staff members who would be introducing guests to a certain animal - we got to meet skunks, alpacas, snakes, penguins, parrots and more. There were also areas where animals were just living and you could see them from afar, like a heard of flamingos, a group of kangaroos, and emus walking around. They had a few stadium shows where they gave lectures and introductions to some animals (ones that weren't just out on the paths with a handler to meet). These were not "shows" like you'd see at SeaWorld or The Seaquarium. I appreciated that, as I definitely do not like seeing animals made to perform or anything like that. With those of its positive aspects, I still do consider this almost a "zoo" type establishment. They do seem to take okay care of the animals, but they should be in their own habitat and free. In terms of non-animal things you can do - you can also see some cool sights from/inside Jungle Island. There are views of the Miami skyline and the water of Biscayne Bay. On the property, you can see palm trees, waterfalls, and a few cool gigantic Banyan trees, just to name a few. I'd say this might be a little more "fun" for kids, if you bring them. Adults may like it too, and some may be a little sad seeing animals in captivity. You'll have to make up your mind on that and do research before you go to see if a visit here is for you.

Yelp
I went yesterday night with my nephews sister and mom. We went to the Luminosa Festival of Lights. We all enjoyed the lanterns and designs. They were beautiful and very unique. Each sections that we visited, were awesome. You could tell that there was time and hard work put in. We admired the dedication and hard work put in for it. We will definitely come again!

Yelp
I loved jungle island. Haven't been here since I was a kid. My son got honor roll and I decide to take the day for jungle island. Best idea ever. There was a inflable water park. We spent the whole day seeing different animals and shows. I would recommend to come and bring the kids. The burger was a little too pricey. Between the burger and one drink it was like 45 bucks.. honesty I could've gone out to eat somewhere else before and would've enjoyed it better.

Yelp
we thought was going to be a nice day out seeing animals was not. We arrived to a obnoxious pool party that was definitely not appropriate for a park nor for the animals that were visually disturbed by the high bass sound. How can a park rent their spaces to party like these. This is definitely animal abuse, this place should be fined for it, and will definitely be reaching out to the city. Such a horrible experience.
google avatar

Andrea F.

Yelp
Luminosa at Jungle Island was a magical experience. I feel it was really worth the visit with beautiful lanterns and lights everywhere. It was fun to stroll along looking at all the lit up figures and a bonus you still get to see some of the animals. I think it would be a fun family event
google avatar

Leanna S.

Yelp
My kids were very happy to be there. They were able to interact with animals and use the playground. The watersides are fantastic but make sure to bring towels and rent a cabana.

Yelp
I have been wanting to check out Luminosa for the longest but the opportunity didn't present itself until over the Thanksgiving break. It is beautiful to see but was definitely crowded. Tis the season right? So with that being said have fun but be prepared for potential lines to get in and mindful of those around you. They do have bites to eat like popcorn, pizza, corn dogs etc. but it is on the pricier side. After all that walking we were hungry so we def needed food. The pizza is freshly made so that's a plus. My family and I chose the 7pm time slot but I would consider going to the first showing or the last just to enjoy the park with less people.

Yelp
Jungle Island is located on Parrot Jungle Trail in Miami and is a place for specific animal-lovers of all ages to enjoy. While zoos may have lions, tigers & bears (oh my-lol), Jungle Island has wildlife that includes flamingos, sloths, tropical birds, wallabies, goats , etc. Although the kangaroos were unavailable & Jungle Island is limited w/ the variety of animals that they have onsite, it was cool to spend time there and to see some animals. Garden Admission tickets are free & available when you order online (limited w/ 2 day advance registration required). The Garden Admission tickets were easy to order online and provides access to the main areas, their botanical garden & their playground. Specialized Packages, VIP Tours & other programs are available as add-on options & additional fees vary. Some of these include the following: 1.) Treehouse Trekking - walk fron different treehouses along a section of the Jungle Island property, etc. Open every day 9:30am - 5:30pm 2.) "Animal Encounters" - ability for patrons to interact w/ animals. These include the Lemur Encounter, Sloth Encounter, Wallaby Encounter, Wallaby Encounter, Flamingo, Bunny Encounter, etc. 3.) Jungle Kids Program The front entrance has a beautiful, well-manicured garden setting w/ gorgeous greenery. When you arrive at Jungle Island's front entrance, you walk indoors & are welcomed to the gift shop (a bit pricey just like other animal attraction venues...$5 for a can of soda? - the outdoor mini-concession stand was also a bit expensive / pricey), that has the admission area to purchase / get your admission tickets scanned by staff, etc. Staff also provide visitors w/ a Jungle Island Garden Admission Map / Park Guide before beginning the journey to roam the Jungle Island facility. Staff are wonderful, polite, friendly, answer questions & give information. The Educational Presentation occurs twice a day @ 11am & 2pm. The Educational Presentation in Jungle Island's Amphitheater was the highlight of the visit. Staff brought out various animals (ex. snakes, birds, goats, etc.), shared facts w/ the audience about each animal & allowed people to come up onto the stage, to hold them, pet them, etc. It was cute.... Jungle Island Hours of Operation - 5:30pm-9:30pm Luminosa "Festival of Lights" Hours of Operation (returned on Nov. 21st) - Sun. - Thus. - 5:30 pm -9:30 pm Fri. - Sat. - 5:30 pm - 10:30 pm Website - jungleisland.com Instagram - @jungleisland - @jungleislandevents Currently, one can visit Jungle Island and see their "Jungle Bells" holiday interactive show every Sat. & Sun. until 1/1/24.

Yelp
Wanting to be Adventurous on a Saturday Morning we Booked a Couple of Events at Jungle Island to Explore the Grounds. If you get there right at 10am or a Couple of Minutes Before you will get a Prime Garage Parking Spot! As we watched people walking in since this was our First Visit we saw Closed Toe Shoes, Ponytails, No Bags, and Keep Your Clothes Simply Lightweight Athletic. The Entrance is a bit Confusing but once you find the Entrance it is Simple and you are In! The Staff is Very Friendly once you are Checked In. We bought their Capybara Experience along with their Tree-Tops Excursion which is 2 Separate Companies at the Jungle Island. As we waited for the Capybara Excursion we Roamed the Grounds. Parrots Overtake this Island as they are every which way! Beautiful Parrots but A Lot! They also have Monkeys, Goats, Flamingos, Kangaroos, Reptiles, and More. The Grounds are Decently Clean with Restrooms on every corner. They also have an Amphitheater for Showings. Our Capybara Experience was One to be Desired... as Guinea Pig Owners we were Quite Excited for this Experience as they are to be Called "The Largest Rodent Guinea Pigs". In Our Minds we are going into a Room with the Pigs to have a One on One or possibly having a couple more Join. This was Not the Case.. You go into the Capybara Cage with them and will have about 20 People in Your Group. You get a Canister of Lettuce & Veggies and are Free to Feed either Hermione or Her Husband. They are Soft with Taking the Food from You but their Hair is Extra Rough and Not Pleasing to Touch. It would have been Nice for them to give us a Brush to Brush them. The Whole Cage Experience for us and most others lasted about 15 Minutes or Less.. On the Day we were there to do the Tree-Top Excursion it was Extremely Hot so we Rescheduled. They Gladly Rescheduled us for another Date. Once the Date came around we get a Text Message that the Tree-Top Excursion is Permanently Closed due to Maintenance.. Refund Granted.

Yelp
Came for my first time on New Year's Eve Day. The entrance fee is $43 by per person. They offer a few discounts for teachers and military personnel. The park itself is relatively small and can be done in a couple of hours. They also offer animal encounters and tree to tree adventures for an additional cost. Unfortunately, the cost of the entrance plus the $20 flat rate fee for parking does not justify the value of what you get. Also, the acrobatic show is not available on Tuesdays and yet there is no discount offered for coming on Tuesday's. The website shows the show available every day. The bird/animal show was underwhelming. Lastly, food is priced for a typical park but a can of soda is $5 which is crazy expensive.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
We planned ahead and found free tickets online to get in. Definitely not worth the $30 so we're glad we secured free tickets. The place was smaller than I expected and there weren't too many animal exhibits. Most of the animals were sleeping or hiding under the shade because it was so hot out. Parking was $20 flat rate.

Alaina M.

Yelp
Excellent experience! I came here to do the thriller tree course for my boyfriend's birthday. It was a fair price for how many courses and zip lines there were for us to do. It was nice being able to do it alone without a guide.
google avatar

Yelp
I had the pleasure of stopping by Jungle Island for their vamped up "Luminosa" experience that had hundreds of blown up and carefully decorated sculptures and inflatables infused with the animals here in Miami. There was an oriental acrobatic show lined up for certain hours of the day and it was almost as if I was able to once again experience the incredible skills of the performers I saw back on my previous journeys through Asia. The cool Miami evening was brisk that night and it was super cool to experience this setup. My group and I were even fortunate to meet Burkey, who is such a great salesman & got us some pretty sweet photos to take with us. He rocked! Hope to be back soon!

Yelp
Perfect family fun day! Thanks to being at jungle island. I've been a south Floridian for about 20 years now, and never had I ever been here lol. So finally, made it out. A link up with family and friends is highly recommended. I invited one of my daughter's school friends, along with two acquaintances and with my own fam bam crew. We had a time! From the shows, the animal encounters, and the scenic landscape of the jungle.

Yelp
I visited Jungle Island for Luminosa a few years ago. It was pricey but not surprising for Miami. When we entered, we had option for photo with a parrot. The lights were vibrant and there were several displays that took over 2 hours to walk through. We had a toddler with us who thoroughly enjoyed her experience as did we. They also served food and alcohol at different spots which was nice!

Yelp
Review is for the Catered Food; not the event space. I came for two events in the span of a week. A candlelight four string Mother's Day Warner Brothers film and TV ensemble and a non profit annual dinner with 300+ guests. Net net: you need a new caterer. Fritanga in every dish, no vegetables, no bold flavors, and bland entrees. You can do better. And you should. I hope you make an attempt to liven up and modernize your event catering options.

Yelp
We got the private sitting with Lemurs, and I highly recommend it. Ryan was the guide, and he works with these lemurs. They trust him (said he's Papa to them), and he trusts them. Queen Natasha, Loki, Peter Parker.. each had a name and knew their names, too. Each had their own personality. It was hilarious. Ryan would put some snacks in our hands, and the Lemurs would hop on your head or lap and have a nibble. He had us take off hoop earrings, and when one tried taking a button from my shirt, Ryan said, "we do not steal, leave the button," and Lemur would let go. Soft balls of fluff with these tiny grippy hands that had incredible balance. Ryan mentioned they were about 11 months old (the 4yrs elsewhere in Jungle Island were aggressive). Side note, near the kids playground they had snacks, we got a plain pizza and it was Hella delicious.

Yelp
Wow! Bucket list check off for me. Always wanted to go to the Candlelight concert. It comes every year and I'm so happy I actually came to see it. This was a beautiful surprise. Thank you so much. We attended the Bad Bunny dedication. So beautiful hearing his songs played in such a beautiful melody. Would definitely recommend anyone who has not attended one to try it.

Yelp
We had family visiting from Switzerland that used to love Parrot Jungle back in the day and was so looking forward to coming to Jungle Island but everyone was so disappointed with our trip to Jungle Island... First of all, admission price we thought was great at $20 a person for an adult but then we entered the "park" and you walk around for maybe 15 or 20 minutes and it's over you have literally seen the entire "park" if you can call it that. What is that?! What's the point?! It was great to see the parrots sitting on their perches and that you can walk right next to the birds and take photos with them (without being charged for it or without them being in an enclosure) which was great but besides that there wasn't much of anything to do or see at Jungle Island so it was disappointing. You walk for 15-20 mins and there are some lemurs in a cage, a few birds in smaller cages here and there, a small pool with flamingos hanging out... and that is it. Everyone kind of looked at each other afterwards and was like that's it? Then when you leave you have to pay $15 for parking for the 20 mins you were there for which is absolutely ridiculous... Honestly for the price and the 20 mins we spent here we could have saved the gas and the $60 for parking and admission tickets and gone to Zoo Miami instead or even the Flamingo Gardens where there is much more to see there. It's really sad because we were expecting so much more - we won't be coming back.

Yelp
Nice place to visit with kids! They have cute monkeys, capybaras, flamingos, sloths, owls, parrots, and more. You can pay for animal encounters. There is a playground area where you have to pay an extra $10 per person. But my son loved this the most so I think it's worth. However, they do have another smaller playground as well. There is a food truck and nice waterfront views. There are special events throughout the year. I highly recommend Luminosa during the winter months. It is truly magical!

Yelp
It's free to get in and walk around but that's about it. Everything else costs a lot. And I mean everything. Every single kind of animal encounter they have is $ Want to walk around the top of trees? $$ Hungry! $ Came in your vehicle? $$ Nice way to spend about an hour but that's about it

Evelyn C.

Yelp
The nettance is very expensive, it doesnt include feeding animals or any animal encounters. It was still noce. What really bothered me. Was when i purchase a simple hotdog and fries for 14$ and a cesar salad with fried chicken that came in a samll plastic bowel more like a publix salad. That comes with a prepackage of kraft cesar sald for 17$ they charge you, a managment fee. Wich you have to pay. But on the reciept it showes as gratuity of 15%. Not only i got really expensive food and low quality. They are making me pay their employees? No one see es me in my table, or i picked up to take away. So why they are making me pay their employees? On too they had an a option to pay extra gratuity. Does the management pays the employees sick time? Health care?
google avatar

Yelp
So had to come back during the day to enjoy jungle island. Really cool lots of different parrots and other animals. Can go zip lining here there is a really cool tree house play area for kids and kids at heart. And lots of different animal encounters. 15$ fee to park.

Pnyin C.

Yelp
We went on the website it showed there were ligers but There was no liger and false advertisement on website and we finished the Jungle Island within 20 minutes, and we were suppose to have a good time but we didn't. DON'T waste your money on this crappy place trying to find tigers lions or ligers this place is so bad and it smells, only 1 restroom on the property. Clean the place and clean the restroom. THERE WERE POOP ALL OVER THE PLACE AND POOP GOT ALL OVER MY SHOES AND NOW ITS MAKING MY CAR STINK ALL OVER THE PLACE so PLEASE CLEAN THE FLOORS. It's the most stupid jungle island in history!!

Yelp
I'm speechless! This (Jungle Island) was the most memorable, interactive, zoo like attraction in south Florida I've been too! So many gorgeous birds and animals! They gave a 50% discount for veterans which is so amazing, and they have reasonably good prices! You have to pay 15 dollars for parking, tho, just a heads up for anyone wondering! It's worth every penny. I will include some of the beautiful photos that I took here we bought food for the flamingos and feeding them was so interesting and fun!

Yelp
Just wanted to say a special thank to Jungle Island, for hosting Fashion gives back, that is collaboration with Children Nickalaus Hospital. Had such an amazing time!

Yelp
This was our first time visiting outside of doing HorrorlandMiami. I have to say I highly recommend this place especially if you had kids. I would of rate this a 5 star if there were more animals as a lot of them were not in their cages. Also the aerial walkway was a bit pricy. But we saw a lot! The place is well kept but a bit smelly around some of the cages. Lots of parrots and lots of them were loose which was cool. Perk: if you book in advance the admission is free!!! We are coming on Saturday with the kids!
google avatar

Adriana G.

Yelp
Decided to see the Luminosa event they had going on at Jungle Island. At first it was confusing getting there. To our surprise, parking was free!! We went on a week day just as an FYI. I believe it was $25 per person. They have a bar, some food spots, a pop up with handmade art. I wish they had a little more to offer because it wasn't much to see. I guess that's why tickets aren't crazy high. There was plenty of parking tho and I didn't have to drive too far back home. Overall it was good to get out the house and see how beautiful some of the exhibits were.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying this place is relatively small. If you want a full day activity, youre better off going somewhere else. This is a max 3 hour activity and an expensive one at that. The birds in cages made me sad, but what is even sadder are the birds NOT in cages. Let me explain: There are a ton of birds sitting in branches waiting to be seen, but are unattended by staff, which means they are exposed to people who dont read the DO NOT TOUCH sign. I witnessed mutliple toddlers/kids/ adults slapping the birds, pulling its tails, and bothering the poor birds. And, since the birds wings are cut, there is no where they can escape to. TRAGIC! The birds in cages are a sad sight too, with little to no food or water, and no space to fly or live. The few animals that they got ahold of (some monkeys, lemurs, sloths, etc.) were in similar cages and conditions. All of the animals looked depressed and rightly so. Some were even by themselves in cages, which makes you feel sad for the lonely creature who probably spends their whole lives by themselves. As for costs, we got in for free but the sign said 29.99 and there is no way anyone should be paying that price to come in and see this. This doesnt include parking, food, beverages, or the encounters that they promote so vastly. Poor animals dont have enough torture being in cages, they have to tolerate people getting handsy with them. There is one show in the whole park, which was no "out of this world" performance. There is a staff member that takes out a bunch of birds and aniamls in front of a crowd, talks about it for thirty minutes, and leaves! Yikes. Overall, its two starts because, like i said, i did not pay to come in here, it was completely free (except for the 15 dollar parking). The tree trekking looks okay, but i went to an awesome one in Orlando so my expectations are high. This place rlly isnt want it used to be when it was called "Parrot Jungle Island." Dont waste your money.

Yelp
We had a wonderful afternoon at Parrot Jungle Island during the presentation of the mini Christmas circus. Although the abrupt escorting everyone from the facilities after the show disappointed us, the manager completely turned our experience around. His kindness in allowing us to remain after the show was exceptional and made a significant difference. We appreciate his generous gesture and the willingness of the staff to accommodate and make our visit memorable. The park itself is spectacular, with interesting attractions for both children and adults. We highly recommend Parrot Jungle Island as a charming destination for families. Thanks to the manager Jorge and his team for their exceptional hospitality!

Yelp
Omg I had the time of my life here!!! Anyone can visit! You don't have to visit with children or someone else - you can go alone and still enjoy yourself. I really enjoyed my Sunday here. It was well worth the travel. The staff were super nice especially Alejandra and they even took pictures for me because I was a solo visitor. I love how the parrots are right in the open. My Jungle island experience is better than what I expected. I love that there's a lot of shade to wade off the heat. Initially I was down at the Fairchild botanical garden but left because it was very hot and decided to visit Jungle Island instead. I am so glad I did. I told my friends about it and will be returning. Jungle Island is a must-go for all ages. Put this place on your bucket list. Kudos to management and staff! Bravo! Job well done.

Yelp
I used to love this place as a kid, but their prices have gone up and standards for animal care have gone way down. Any facility that offers "encounters" with wild animals is inherently exploitative, as some of these babies are WEEKS old! When these animals are not sitting outside in the sun (with no fans and water misters) or being paraded around during "shows", they are stuck in inhumanely small, filthy cages with no enrichment or consistent access to fresh food and water. They even use birds as decorations, lining pathways and entrances to indoor pavilions with tiny bird cages with large parrots stuffed inside; parrots, I might add, have the cognitive function of a five year old human child. Would you lock your five year old in a small room with no toys all day every day? It's incredibly depressing to see these animals so beaten down and defeated. If you're visiting Miami, this should NOT be on your list of things to do.

Yelp
Attended a private event in the tree top ballroom. Staff was friendly. The portions provided were well plated.

Yelp
I don't think I would go back. We finish the jungle within 20 to 30 minutes and having to pay $20 for parking is outrageous with the prices to already enter the park itself.

Yelp
Honestly, not the best place. I remember this place being so much bigger when I was younger and with so many more activities for kids to do. The entrance is cheaper than the parking. $11 for the entrance and $15 for the parking. I personally won't be going back here. To go in, they're extremely unorganized. There's one long line and everyone was asking if that was the entrance or a line for something else. There were barely any animals as well. I was in and out of the park within less than two hours. If you want to check it out, go for it. But I personally don't recommend. There were also a couple of birds that I noticed that seemed to be in distress, they were missing a couple of feathers. Made me pretty sad/mad. There was only one cool thing that we experienced and it was a parrot that said "hello" & "hi" when we went up to it.

Yelp
0 stars if I could. If you love animals, don't come here. If you have slightly any heart - don't come here. We came only because it was a free activity to do with our toddler and I thought it was a sanctuary. Upon arrival, you see it's a place to just exploit these poor animals that don't deserve this life. The entire enterence area can fit all the cages in it with extra room. The cages for each animal were SO tiny it was depressing. They couldn't even be bothered to put greenery for them. The fact the place is covered in greenery itself just makes it seem like the animals are in a proper environment but they aren't. Thinking about them in there 24/7 is depressing. Some of the animals that had food just had a little cabbage thrown around. The parrots had pellets that were tipped over, parrots that are able and should have a diet of fruits + veggies - just weird looking pellets instead. The water bowls were all filthy if they had any at all. All the animals had was a rope in there if they were lucky. The animals themselves did not look happy. Beautiful animals put in a small wooden box, cage or glass. Imagine that. With no access to actual greenery and space to fly, roam and just simply live. They had a huge kids play area but god forbid they give some extra space to the animals that bring in all the money for them. Which absolutely doesn't go to the animals. Saw a woman vaping literally IN a parrots face, not even a foot away. No one was supervising the parrots they scattered around for decoration which makes me wonder how they trained them to just stay in place while people harass them all day. All the money they make and they don't even give the animals a fair place to live. This isn't a beautiful place. The only beautiful thing about it are the animals that don't deserve this cruelty in the first place. These places shouldn't be allowed to be open but humans are nasty greedy creatures. If it wasn't free I wouldn't go and even if they do have free days it's not worth it to go see these animals being exploited and mistreated. We used this as an opportunity to show our son how animals shouldn't be treated. They also have endangered birds here which is sad.

Yelp
Definitely not worth $30 per person, but plan ahead and get your tickets for FREE on their website! The place is cute with mostly birds to view. The highlight of the trip was seeing an iguana jump or fall from a tree and scare the flamingoes. This place is maybe about an hour experience, but it has many shady areas to get out of the hot Miami sun.
