Restaurants to Try This Weekend in Las Vegas — August 1 | Eater Vegas

"Legendary Brooklyn-based diner brings its iconic cheesecake and comfort classics to Resorts World, with breakfasts that are big and nostalgic — think custard-soaked French toast crusted in cereal and omelets that barely fit the plate. Lunch and dinner bring more to crave, like the brisket melt with juicy shredded brisket, mozzarella, and sautéed onions and peppers on grilled bread, served with a glossy au jus for dipping. Skip the fries and get the thick-cut, deeply golden onion rings, all crunch outside and tender, sweet onion within, and save room for cheesecake — the original is rich and creamy, though I’m partial to the one topped with a dense, fudgy brownie." - Janna Karel

Yasmin Khan’s Grub Street Diet

"A Midtown/Times Square classic where the pastrami Reuben on wheat (with extra dill pickles) and corned beef on rye were enjoyed and the chocolate milkshake was called amazing; the restaurant’s famous desserts were noted as a tempting next-time treat." - Chris Crowley

Roy Wood Jr.’s Grub Street Diet

"A place he turns to occasionally for dessert: he considers their chocolate mousse cheesecake the best he’ll touch and treats it as a rare indulgence, though he generally prefers pie over cake." - Chris Crowley

Stopped in for dinner while staying at the Conrad Hotel. I sat at the bar, since it was just me dining and the bartender was great at taking care of me. His suggestions were helpful and their menu is huge, packed with many appetizing options. I opted for a cup of matzo ball soup and a chicken salad sandwich. The soup was a cup, but it looked like a bowl size that came out – there was a huge matzo ball in it and the broth was tasty. The sandwich was excellent! The chicken in it was fresh and nicely mayo’s and seasoned. The challah bread was great with this sandwich and it was toasted perfectly. Overall, definitely a really nice visit and tasty meal!

Great service and food options. Lines look long but they move pretty quickly. They have an inside bar with TV screens. Veronica and caser were our servers and both were great. Despite how busy they were they consistently checked up on us. You don’t have to wait in line to grab cakes. Eggs Benedict was cooked well, eggs was perfectly poached. Portions are big so may want to think about sharing. Great location to grab grub.

I got there at 11:31pm. After the Erykah Badu concert. It was too late to eat inside. The website said closed 12 on Saturday. But, I was able to purchase cheesecake togo. I ordered devil's food, red velvet, chocolate mousse and carrot cheesecake. I have had the cheesecake before. But, never had the chance to try the food. I guess I will have to go back during lunch hours. Everyone was very friendly and nice!👍🏾👍🏾

Stopped in here for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed our breakfast. I'll start by saying that the service was exceptional. From the host to our waiter Thomas was great. He was probably the nicest, most polite, and helpful server we've had in recent memory. The menu is pretty good for a breakfast spot with a lot to choose from. I really enjoyed my pastrami omelette. Never had one before but the pastrami was good quality. The rest of the family enjoyed their food as well. We'll definitely come back next time we stay at Resorts World.

We were there for a late lunch. Our server was great. We had a BLT and a cornedbeef and pastrami Ruben with a side of fries. It was just under $50. The portions were large, and the food was good. We both only ate have of our sandwiches, so we took the rest out. I would recommend Juniors to eat at.

I came in not expecting much - just be grossly overcharged for Vegas food like usual. I was dining alone as my fiancè was out with a bachelor party and just needed something to eat. I ended up selecting the steak burger (ended up not being my favorite, should have stuck to a classic burger, oh well) which came with two onion rings and some steak fries. It only listed tomato and lettuce for the toppings so I requested pickles on the side. They brought me 3 pickles (aka my favorite food) and to my delight, they were identical to a pickle that was made years ago in Portland, OR that was a local favorite, Mrs. Neusihin's Pickles. It was like a trip down memory lane and getting to have several was such a treat. Another bonus, they serve Diet Coke. But the absolute cherry on top is the delightful staff. I've stayed and dined at many hotels on the strip and the Resorts World staff is top tier! A gentleman served me initially and was nice, polite, and hooked it up with the pickles. Then Juliane served me next. She kept me entertained, engaged, and full of Diet Coke! It was an absolute pleasure dining here-your staff is phenomenal!

Heard of Junior for a long time, but never had a chance to try when i visited New York. Only tried their cheesecake from Costco’s frozen aisle. Spot the restaurant when i was about to get hangry. Super excited and doesn’t want to wait, so went straight forward to the bar seating. We tired: Pastrami Omelette with home fries, generous portion and nice flavor pastrami what wasn’t overly salty! Fluffy egg blanket with fresh fried potato, pretty good for a hangry person. Avocado Toast was more on the plain side, avocado was fresh and creamy but that’s kinda it. My most excited moment is obviously with their cheesecake! We ordered key lime cheesecake! Very good and balanced flavor, that pair with my black coffee super well! Really enjoy the food, and our bartender/ waiter was super nice too. I will come back to try more cakes if I have a chance!

They had plenty of different cheesecakes to try. I went with red velvet cheese cake & the Key Lime is my favorite usually. The red velvet was pretty decent but I was a little disappointed at the key lime . It was “o.k.” But from a cheesecake place I was expecting greatness !! All the food there looked good with big portions. I would go there again to eat and try their signature strawberry cheesecake!
