"My favorite place in the whole world for breakfast when you’re near Navajo Nation is called the Juniper café. And it's the only place I've ever found that you can get blue corn mush."

Google
Exciting to observe a healthier food option in a cafe setting with local ingredients. I had the blue corn mash bowl with almonds, honey, chia seeds, blueberries, and strawberries and tried the blue corn waffles. Both were lite, revitalizing, a delicious at a reasonable price. I've read some reviews and it sounds as though it can be a hit or miss, we didn't try the coffee, but the today was satiating.

Google
Cute little coffee shop. They have an outdoor seating area as well. Came in for brunch and ordered the Breakfast Burrito Bowl and an Iced Latte. The breakfast bowl was good, but I should have gotten it as a regular burrito. It was a little tough to eat everything together. The iced latte was sour, I had added simple syrup which made it palatable. Would come back for the breakfast item but not the coffee.

I don't know why it's taking me so long to try this wonderful little coffee shop! The location is conveniently located across the street from San Juan College, so I'll call Lewis and I stopped in for a quick cup of coffee and a bite to eat before a meeting. I visited during the winter and indoor seating is not extensive. The decor in the shop is wonderful contemporary Native American art. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful in deciding on choices. I highly recommend going for breakfast and trying the blue corn mush bowl!

The second I walked up to the counter, I felt very rushed to order and pay.. Guy kept asking if that was everything and kept giving me the total while I had questions about the menu. I purchased two different pastries, a breakfast burrito, waffle plate and a cold summer soda for $40. The meals were good, but the pastries were dry and overcooked

Google
Unbelievably amazing space to recharge after a tough morning. Food is absolutely unbelievable, and I had a beautiful strawberry latte to go with my out of this world blue corn waffle. Highly recommend, would call in sick to go here, tell your friends, go now!

Google
Blue corn waffle is one of the best waffles I’ve had. Solid coffee as well.

Google
Service: 5/5 Quality: 5/5 Bathrooms: 5/5 This place is delicious. Their coffee is amazing and their breakfast is delicious. Very spacious and plenty of seating room. Music is nice and calm, they have unique pictures displayed and overall the aesthetic is nice. Such a unique coffee shop, definitely a staple of Farmington. You can tell they put a lot of creativity behind their menu. If you’re looking for a modern take on some Navajo delicacy’s try Juniper! My whole family loves this place.

Google
Wow! The food and espresso-based are fantastic. In fact, my wife and I could not believe how amazing the blue corn waffles were. The absolute best we've ever had! The blue corn blueberry muffin was also delicious. Wish this place wasn't 3 hours away from us.

Yelp
Staying anywhere we always look for a good spot for coffee and breakfast. So this place is it if you are in Farmington NM. Coffee is excellent as is the menu. And I recommend the Blue corn cookies.

Yelp
Setting, atmosphere and vibe is all good!!! Coffee was okay, ordered a Cobb salad to go, got it home and started eating.... Found a bread tie in my salad after bitting down on it, you know, the kind with the little metal wire in it. Thank God I chew my food well.... Then about 5 minutes after finishing, made a mad dash to the porcelain throne and had explosive diarrhea..... I would say proceed with caution....

Yelp
Arrived at 1 pm and they advertise they close at 3 pm. Sign on door announced they closed at 1 pm. We drove out of our way to eat here. This is extremely poor management. Don't go out of your way planning to get food because you cannot count on their posted food hours.

Isabelle H.

Yelp
Stopped here for breakfast & coffee on a road trip. A standout spot traveling through New Mexico! A bit north of the rest of Farmington, but worth the extra 10 min drive. My partner and I both got Oatmilk lattes--so good!! I got the veggie breakfast burrito and he had the regular breakfast burrito. The veggie burrito was full of fresh veggies (could really taste the quality) and still satisfied time burrito craving! Clean, simple, nicely decorated spot and locally &Native owned!

Yelp
Giving Juniper 4 stars because the food was really good. When it finally came. I walked in about 11am and it wasn't busy. Sweet! I'd read that service can be slow. I placed my order and waited. And waited. 45 min later my plate arrived, but it was wrong. Dang it! So now I had to wait longer (couldn't eat what they brought or I absolutely would have). They were then out of one of the ingredients, so I had to change it up. That was fine; when it finally came out it was delicious. The best customer service comes from extra little touches, especially when mistakes are made. I'm not looking for a freebie from a small business, but when you mess up? Offer a drink while the customer works (and don't charge). Offer a coupon for a return visit (like a free drink or 50% off or something). Or think about the review and word of mouth recommendations and just comp the item. In the long run it's so much better for business. They no longer have crepes, like Yelp menu photos show. They offer blue corn waffles (savory and sweet), burritos, bowls, and sandwiches.

Myan S.

Yelp
Previous reviews steered us to Juniper while on a road trip. We were not disappointed. The menu had some interesting options. Many featuring blue cornmeal. We had a blue corn blueberry muffin while our food was being prepared. It was light, moist, and fluffy. I had a deconstructed burrito in a bowl, thinking I'd avoid the tortilla, but then, the tortilla itself was delicious along with all the goods of a tasty breakfast burrito. My husband had the blue corn mush. It was beautiful! Creamy corn porridge topped with fresh fruit. We left feeling lucky to have found this little gem.

Kyla P.

Yelp
The chai tea was delish but I am not a fan of the savory blue corn mush. It was very bland and the only flavor came from the egg or bacon otherwise you were just eating bland mush. I would go back for coffee/tea or maybe try a pastry. The service was acceptable.

Lori K.

Yelp
Food and service good- pricey though!! That's why not 5 stars- not sure it's worth the price- worth trying at least once though!!

Judy H.

Yelp
Clean, friendly and the food is really special. This is a Native American owned and operated business that served foods based on the Navajo locally sourced ingredients. Blue Corn is featured in serveral breakfast items. Don't miss this opportunity. They do not have lots of space and there is sometimes a bit of a wait. But they make the food themselves and you know it is fresh and homemade.

Alaska G.

Yelp
Had a great sandwich on sourdough here with a friend and we both got chai lattes which were yummy and had latte art unlike a lot of "fast food" type coffee places do obviously which I loved. Very clean, nice decor, great service.

Leyla D.

Yelp
Took my niece, we wore our masks upon entry. We ate inside and enjoyed the food with matcha latte and coffee. Burrito had sausage, and the tortilla was perfect. We shared the blue mush. I recommend and will be back!

Ray N.

Yelp
Lovely little cafe with authentic and beautifully prepared Navajo food. The decor is tastefully done and the environment is relaxing and clean. Above it, the food was just right in quantity and flavor and one can tell that it was made with a lot of heart. Highly recommend.

R W.

Yelp
Always have a great experience here. Staff is very friendly and the food is great. Recommend the spam breakfast burritos. Awesome

Rachel D.

Yelp
Placed order online, received confirmation text stating order would be ready at 12:10pm. Got to establishment and they did not have anything on order. Showed cashier order confirmation at which time we were told an item on order (burrito) could not be filled because they discarded the items used to make it. Even though we ordered it well before the cut off time. We had to wait for the order to be filled which took a long time. When you only get an hour for lunch it didn't leave any time to actually eat the food we had already paid for.

Jared B.

Yelp
Nice little ambient coffee shop with some food options. Their outside seating area is very nice and we were than a cooler morning so we took advantage of it. We waited quite a while on our food and finally got it. I had the sausage and cheese panini and it was toasted perfectly but in my opinion was pretty average. Someone in my party got the blue corn waffle and raved over it. As for the coffee, I only had the basic drip coffee and it was good. Plenty of fancier lattes and other drinks to choose from.

Tresa W.

Yelp
It felt good to support a Native owned business that represented native ingredients like Blue corn mush with flare! I really wanted to try the crepes but they weren't available. I did have the blue corn mush with fruits and honey. I regret not buying a blue corn muffin. I saw Navajo women buy a few before we placed our order. That's gotta be a good sign right?

Emily B.

Yelp
Excellent menu. Great atmosphere. Easy to find restaurant in the heart of Tulsa. Will definitely visit again.

Clay T.

Yelp
Blue corn pancakes...with bacon and a fried egg with honey. Kinda like chicken and waffles.....but better. Super clean.

Kam J.

Yelp
Update: Popped in to Juniper today for lunch and mentioned that the grilled cheese I ordered last visit was missing the requested green chiles. The response was a very generous comp; Juniper is most certainly worthy of five stars and remains my favorite establishment in Farmington!

Sophi B.

Yelp
Beautifully fashioned, delicious, wholesome and SO amazing wonderful. Staff is friendly. Coffee delicious...ahhhh. Take time to visit b4 2pm!!

D. Mariah F.

Yelp
You can never go wrong with the salads and bowls. I've heard the sandwiches are pretty good too. If you are in the area, this is a must stop at. I enjoy my visits and the employees are nice too. Love the environment of this place.

Mikaela F.

Yelp
I love this place. The employees always make yu feel so welcomed. Great good love there coffee and espressos. The food always take me bck.

Rachelle F.

Yelp
Good coffee and yummy breakfast bowls!! The lavender matcha is delicious! Highly recommend!

Michelle H.

Yelp
Ohhh I want to put all the good vibes out for this place to succeed and not succumb to whatever Farmington's curse is about letting delicious places die. Juniper! So so so tasty. Coffee drinks first. They have all your basics and for a reasonable price. They will make you a beautiful latte (if you can drink milk) that is oh so social media worthy. If you can't drink milk (like my sad self) they have milk alternatives and will make you a delicious drink anyway. I'm a big fan of the London Fog with Almond Milk. The food!! I think Juniper's food is what really sets them apart from other coffee shops. They have breakfast and lunch items. For breakfast you can get blue corn crepes or bowls, also breakfast sandwiches. For lunch food they have sandwiches and salads. Okay I know that sounds basic but hear me out. Their food is way beyond basic! I had one of the healthiest and tastiest salads in all of Farmington here (Autumn Salad with mixed greens, quinoa, chicken, pumpkin, pomegranates and feta mmmmm)! And their sandwich bread is perfectly toasted and buttery on both sides!! I can't wait to go back for their roast beef, green chile harvati sandwich omg. And they are native owned and operated which just sends them over the top for me. I'm not the first to say it and I won't be the last, Go support this local business!

Penelope A.

Yelp
Stopped in this morning for some coffee. I also picked up a London fog with vanilla and a matcha tea. Loved my medium roast coffee! The drinks were a hit fir all. The pastries I picked up for later included savory scones, blue corn muffins and banana bread. The burrito with spam was delicious . The potatoes are sliced and fried to a great texture. The egg is also fried with the slices of spam in the mix. Homestyle is what we called it. We also had the peach pastry not sweet but the right balance for a side to my cup of coffee.

Wendell T.

Yelp
Excellent coffee. AmaZing breakfast burritos with healthy ingredients. Right across from the college. Best part is, it is American Indian owned.

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
We are locals, and this is our favorite weekend morning spot! Great coffee and Native American themed breakfast dishes. Beautiful natural patio for warm weather coffee and snacks. Local artists work on display on a rotating basis. A great local place to hangout and talk with the residents of the 4 corners! If you're traveling through Farmington this is a great alternative to the corporate places. The owner, Hamilton is always welcoming, great to visit with, genuine and interactive!

Gayla M.

Yelp
Loved the coffee and pastries. There were a lot of people but we got our items quickly.

Saul L.

Yelp
Road trip from California i stopped and Order some food here and let me tell you it was delicious it is a family owned business and I see they support the local artists which I think is just amazing After a good conversation i can see they have such big hearts and it shows in their food they make. Highly recommend this little place!

Jamie B.

Yelp
Besties!! This place is sooo good. I had the blue corn bowl and it was amazing!!! Customer service was excellent as well. Will be coming back again and again and again.

Susie E.

Yelp
Oh my dear god! No one tells you that the tortillas are homemade and everything is freaking phenomenal! Get a bacon burrito. My life is forever changed. This is the best burrito l have had in my life.

Katherine B.

Yelp
This is a super cute breakfast/lunch spot tucked away in Farmington. Off the beaten path it offers a relaxing environment with indoor and outdoor seating (when the weather permits). The food is delicious, I got the winter salad and my son got the blue corn waffles. I am always trying to find a good fresh salad and this is one of the best in the area. I got the beet latte to drink and it was lovely. This restaurant is Navajo woman run and has great customer service. They were very patient and helpful when my baby spilled water. As a mom of two that patience and assistance is always appreciated.

Pierre W.

Yelp
Nice food. Coffee was good. Nice break on the road. Give a try. Paninis were good and generous.

Ashlee B.

Yelp
This place is a gem! I'm so glad that Farmington has a native-owned coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch. The menu is short and not overwhelming. I'm all about the small selection and making those foods well. I arrived later in the afternoon and was able to place an order right away. The cashier was very kind, asking about preferences and acknowledging our requests. We choose to sit in the cute patio area to feel the warmth of the sun while we wait. I ordered the autumn salad and my mom ordered the Cobb salad. I was tempted to try the crepes but the salads sounded so delicious. Our food arrived within 10 minutes. The waiter/maybe chef of the day delivered the food and noticed that our table had dust. He asked to wipe it and made sure we were comfortable. The salads looked amazing. Food aesthetics were on point! The salad was so good. The blend of squash, quinoa, chicken, feta, cranberries, and vinaigrette with greens was exactly what I wanted. My mom enjoyed her salad and couldn't quite finish it, so it was boxed up for later. The food was delicious, and the prices were good, nothing crazy. Let's keep this place going and support the local business!

Tofu D.

Yelp
If you're looking for a nice cup of espresso, and you're getting out of class. This is the place to be. Here, you'll find amazing cups of coffee, espresso, and the likes just within minutes of ordering. You'll also find great tasting food, from burritos, salads to sandwiches and baked goods, you can't find a better place on this street. The place is tucked into a shopping center, across from the local community college. The atmosphere still has that new feel, and it's modern and clean. If you're looking to do some computer work, there is a limit of outlet plugs, so be prepared for that. Plus, it can get a bit crowded at times. But, the staff is very quick to take your order and to make your order. They also have an outside patio section, but at this time of year, I don't know if you want to brave the cold weather. You may have to ask them for chairs, as I didn't see any outside, due to the weather. All in all, I recommend this place, if you're nearby, give them some business, as they making amazing food, excellent drinks and tasty treats. Oh, and bring some friends too.

Jenne A.

Yelp
Stopped in for a healthy breakfast and coffee on the road. We chatted with the owners for a bit, they were super accommodating, friendly, driven for success and they're doing everything just right! Our lattes were delicious and perfectly prepared... even with their homemade syrups (yes, made fresh!) We ordered two breakfast burritos which were so tasty - also made fresh to order (which you never see anymore these days, what a treat). Healthy ingredients and vegan options. We will be back, thank you Juniper- keep it up!

Clinton G.

Yelp
Just a humble spot that serves delicious food... the Black Forest Ham grilled cheese sandwich was recommended and it definitely didn't disappoint. So good! Looking forward to my next visit...

Carlos B.

Yelp
Best spot in town. Good food, Good people... and that's all that matters when your ordering food.

Brooke S.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. They have an incredible selection of food and 81301 coffee which comes from Durango and is the best coffee Durango has. My friend and I both got the Cobb salad and it was sooo good. The chicken that it comes with is warm and not dry.

Sheridan P.

Yelp
Always a pleasure going into Juniper!! Amazing food and the owners and staff are wonderful. I highly recommend going in to see them.

Trenton K.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast! The blue corn crepes are the best thing I've ever had. And the breakfast sandwiches were made perfectly. Everything is fresh. These people take pride in the food they make.

Val S.

Yelp
I really like this place. Been there twice now and will go back. Both times I had a salad. I've tried the winter salad and loved it Then I had the cranberry salad. Both of these had the freshest greens, super fresh and good fruit and quinoa etc. You can't go wrong My eating parters also ordered grilled cheese and they just kept raving about their sandwiches. There was bacon involved and green chilies. It's a great place and next time we are going there to try breakfast. If it's anything like their lunch, it will be great!

Patrick L.

Yelp
Great casual fare in Framington. We stopped on the way to Taos and loved the Navajo Tea (iced) and their iced honey lavender latte creation. This was possibly the best iced coffee drink we've ever had. The food was excellent, too.

Sarah R.

Yelp
Great service, delicious crepe and tasty tea! Stopped here on my road trip to Texas and so happy I did!

Darah T.

Yelp
Juniper has the best coffee and breakfast in town! Everything is so fresh and delicious. This is my #1 go to spot. My favorite: blue corn crepes, iced almond milk latte, and if you're really lucky a freshly baked scone or cookie. The salads are AMAZING and the burritos are great too. Can not recommend highly enough!

Gina L.

Yelp
This little gem of an eatery was excellent! Everything we had was delicious and the staff was delightful. As a coffee lover I had an iced honey lavender latte that was absolute heaven! Highly recommend!!!

Lallie S.

Yelp
Blue corn crepes with mascarpone and various additions (cinnamon apple, strawberries, etc). Really good coffee, made by the cup (including the Americano). CHECK IT OUT!!! You'll be back. Can't wait to try other menu items and coffees.

Kaytlyn A.

Yelp
Charming little cafe. The people are very nice, the vibe is great. The breakfast sandwich was really good, tasted homemade. Not overpriced. Nice spot for a bite between classes. Looking forward to coming here again!

Meghan R.

Yelp
This awesone cafe has fantastic coffee from an excellent, local roaster. The burritos are on point. Hand tossed tortillas that are not too thick and not too thin. Fresh ingredients. The baristas are friendly and the atmosphere serene and comfy.

Alexis L.

Yelp
If you like spam burritos or blue corn mush, then I'll tell you my friends this place is the haven spot for all of your favorite native foods. The people are soooo nice and the food is nizhoni. Best cafe in town!!!
