Juniper - Greenville

This place is absolutely stunning, and the service was exactly what you’d expect from a restaurant like this. While the food overall didn’t quite match the atmosphere or level of service, we did enjoy several items, including the focaccia bread, oysters, lobster roll, and bao buns. Even though the food didn’t fully hit the mark for us, I still encourage others to try it for themselves. The ambiance, service, and drinks alone make it worth the experience.

Amazing atmosphere! The decor feels like a garden and creates such a unique experience. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful, and the chef kindly worked with us to make substitutions in our meals. Dessert was great and the view topped it all off. It was a bit pricey and you have to dress up some.

This spot was super cuuute! The ambiance was so nice. They had a live DJ playing smooth vibes. The scenery was amazing over looking Greenville. And, the cocktails were delicious 🍸🍸

The atmosphere is absolutely stunning! Our waiter, I unfortunately, cannot recall his name, was amazing as well! The food however, was not to our liking. Our waiter advocated for me and I appreciate that very much. The manager even brought the food back out to me and I also appreciated that! The drinks were fabulous, the service was great, the food was just not our cup of tea. I do encourage others to try it for themselves. We compared the old menu with the new menu, and I would like suggest adding some of the items from the old menu, such as the wagyu steak and Brussels sprouts. ❤️

Laura was the best!! Gave us honest feedback on menu options and checked in on us constantly despite a busy shift. She even took the time to give me 8 olives when I asked for a few extra in my martini - out did her self! Thank you for your hospitality, Laura!

More of a bar than a restaurant, it has an absolutely GORGEGOUS interior with beautiful floral almost fantastical decorations. I visited for brunch with a small party and while the service was prompt and considerate, the food itself left something to be desired. My French toast was overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. The pears and walnuts were spot on though, but I was hoping for something better from the main portion of the dish. Overall, no one was impressed by their meal, each dish lacking the care and attention that would have made it actually satisfying. The drinks were good though. Word to the wise, make sure you double check your vegetarian plates because there was a bit of meat mixed in with one of my friend’s vegetarian dishes by accident.

This is my fourth time eating at Juniper. Juniper never disappoints me! I currently rank it in my top 5 restaurants in Greenville. The cocktails are absolutely phenomenal. I also love the mocktails. This trip we got the focaccia, rich girl, fool's gold (twice because my husband loved it so much!), spice for your life, filet mignon, duck l'orange, and hazelnut panna cotta. We loved it all, and the filet mignon was the ACTUAL BEST filet mignon we've had in our lives. I always love the atmosphere of Juniper. The decor and lighting are awesome. I also love the modern music playing! After going to Juniper for awhile, the only thing I wish would change overall is that I wish some of the food menu items would stay on more permanently. I know I'm going to get awesome stuff & trust that because I love Juniper, but it'd be nice to be able to recommend people specific dishes and know they will be on the menu. Love all the seasonal changes, just wish there was like a small signature dish section. There are some friends I just don't feel comfortable bringing to Juniper because I need to know for sure what some of the options are when I make a reservation in advance to be able to recommend things since they are particular and less adventurous than me with food. This is the main reason I will chose other restaurants over Juniper when reserving for more than two people for a fancy occasion. Also wish the focaccia had more oil with it so we could've dipped all the bread in it, but the bread was still tasty without the oil 😊 PLEASE consider making this filet mignon with the shallot butter, carrots, and broccolini a permanent item. I will recommend it to so many people! The flavor profile would be good year round, and it is simple enough that it would appeal to my pickier friends as well! I also distinctly remember a lemon-y beef carpaccio I have had here before that I wish I could have again!

Bailey, our server, was such a sweetheart & made us laugh several times. The food was really good but a little pricey for the portions. Atmosphere is so flowery and gorgeous!

First off I want to start by saying our server Raymond was the best. He had a great personality and was cracking jokes with us from the jump. He was attentive but not over bearing and was super helpful with recommending drinks to my mom and I. I would give him 10 stars if I could- y'all need to give him a raise! I also have to comment on the atmosphere and ambiance- the design concepts in this restaurant are well thought out and engaging. It was a lovely immersive experience. Now on to the food- it was meh. I could've made the bolognese so much better in my own kitchen- the sauce was watery and unimpressive. The mussels were tasty but the chunks of ground meat in it were odd. The squash was nice and had a surprising curry/ turmeric flavor- but the mozzarella cheese on top threw me off. I know it's more of a cocktail bar, but the menu could be better and the food itself needs to be amped up. I would go back for Raymond and the cocktails but that's about it.

Ambiance is great Curated cocktails are amazing - lots of gin options... Id go as far as saying this is a gin bar with every other option available as well. The outdoor area is beautiful any time of year - Your experience starts before the elevator - its just so well decorated Enjoy the glass wall as your ride up to the top floor :)

1000% recommend this for nice dinner w drinks! I wish I could have tried more drinks but had two: Rich girl and Beaches of Yucatan in that order and perfect. We went for girls night and every seat or spot in this place is beautiful! Photos don't do justice it's a very nice instagramable hot spot. From the entrance your start your experience in my opinion. We ordered Biria tacos and Brussels sprouts for appetizers and both were excellent. My entree the steak w asparagus and mash potatoes was probably one of the best steaks I've had this year and last! Really really good. Now this was a nice splurge outting so be prepared. But worth it. Our waiter was nice but we kept looking for him. Note: I don't think I saw kids menu options.

Was it cute, yes. Was it worth it, no really. Service was lacking and food just was nothing to write home about. It's cool if you liked to take pictures for socials but other than that, was not worth the hype for us.

Stunningly beautiful place! The downtown views are amazing. The decor inside is just so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. I went on a Sunday for the brunch buffet and they had a special event of drag bingo which was so much fun even tho I didn't win! Lol. Everything was delish, but sadly I didn't think to take any pics because I was just so in awe of the decor of the place lol. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to go back and check it out at night to see downtown all lit up.

Wanted to absolutely love this place. It has amazing ambience and the live singer who walks around the restaurant was awesome. Our waiter was attentive and the food and drinks although pretty darn pricey were delicious. We were so excited to be there - immediately started with pics as soon as the elevator opened. We had a reservation and one of our friends was already inside waiting for us. We walked up to the hostess and an extremely rude woman ( supposedly security) per our waiter when asked once inside immediately started to speak to us quite harshly. She would not allow us to go to our table - apparently the rule is you need to be walked to your table - fine but no need to be Rude. She continued to speak so sarcastically to all of us which was killing our vibe. It got so bad several girls in our group wanted to leave. There was a party of 3 beside us and ended up outside close to where we were sitting. It was quite chilly but we had a nice fire pit to warm us up. After about 20 min or so the 3 ladies we walked in with got up to leave. I had to know why- they were told they could not have a fire pit bc their wasn't enough people in their group. Ridiculous- so those 3 woman walked out. Hopefully if you decide to give this place a try you will not be faced with the Rude woman in the front !!! Good luck It's so sad bc the drinks were really good, clever names and the appetizers were delicious.

This was literally the worst experience. We have a group of six was planning to have dinner. They sat us outside in front of a fire pit. The waitress was very accommodating by bringing us small tables. When the ticket arrived, there was no indication of a grat, I always like to tip in cash so I proceeded to give her my card and give her the cash (20%). The card was ran and it turned out that we were also grad. 20% and she never mentioned it. Even after I gave her the cash first and clearly stated that was for her. I get it, I waited tables for yrs and sometime large parties suck, but if I was gonna grat a table i always told them, especially if they tipped me in cash.

Amazing rooftop bar / restaurant with city views and gorgeous interior. Loved the little fire pits and wide selection of drinks. Our server was very friendly and quick + checked in on our group frequently. Overall, this is a great place to spend a night with friends.

So....when we arrived I asked the server about the bottomless mimosas ... he told me my glass would never be empty. Well that was true for the first 3. After that....he ignored me. The menu said it was $25 my bill showed $28. There was a group of 7 so tip was automatically added....i get it but I feel like that was his ticket to no longer be present. The food was good but the service.... Welllllllllll.......

While it is absolutely beautiful inside and out, we're glad we tried it out. Even just for a drink. Arrived around 6:30pm on a Friday night with no reservations and was able to find bar seating. We weren't looking to eat. Just wanted to check it out and have a drink. Super instagram worth. Bartenders were super nice and informative. Didn't make us feel rushed. All in all, would be back to at least try their brunch but would recommend having a reservation set. Doesn't look like some place easy to get in for food or at least be able to walk in. Hostess did let us know that "patio" seating was for larger parties, which is kind of a bummer if you want the pretty spot with the windows and it's only 2 of you.

Can only speak to the drink, service and ambience. This place is stunning. It gives chronicles of Narnia vibes with its gorgeous winter decor. The service at the bar was top notch. Bartender was attentive and friendly. There is an outside seating area with wonderful views but we needed reservations so we just walked out there for a few minutes to take in the views.

The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive. The brunch buffet had almost anything anyone could want; salad, fruit, salmon, eggs, sausage, shrimp & grits, short ribs and an omelette bar made to order. Then, there are the desserts. Absolutely amazing. Whatever your heart desires, you'll find it. The atmosphere is incredibly unique. The snow flocked trees and gorgeous decor was like nothing I'd ever seen. The views of downtown Greenville are fabulous. The only negative is even though the enclosed patio area has some heating, it was still very cool even with jackets where we were seated. However, it's definitely worth a second visit.

This drink is super refreshing and light great for a hot summer day! Service was awesome, just a little busy!

We just stopped at the bar to get drinks and enjoy the rooftop, and it was great! I had the strawberry basil gin fizz, and it was fresh, refreshing and hit the spot! The drinks are pricey ($15), but they are well-made and the atmosphere was great.

Everything about this spot was awesome it's located in the middle of pretty much everything in downtown Greenville.The service was awesome from the time we walked in to the time we walked out.Live music playing during dinner it was a great experience low light setting great for a date or just a night out on the town.Food came out nice and hot and my server had a refill coming before I could ask.Highly recommend coming back soon to try some more menu options

It was TO DIE FOR!! The yuca fries are a must, sauce is so good. I also had great service with Allyson. It was fast but there was a live singer there also and the decor was simply beautiful! Great ambiance. Such a yummy dinner.

Unique. Girly. Reminded me of Athens, Greece. Bartenders were attentive and friendly. The drink i had was too sweet for my liking but the bartender was more than willing to change it. The best surprise of all was the woman who was walking through the restaurant singing - wow she was incredible! What a cool and must visit place.

I LOVED Juniper now let me get specific: the drinks and appetizers were a 10. We got the focaccia (some of the best I've had) and the Asian style shrimp appetizer which were both awesome! I also got to try two of their drinks and they were both awesome but a little pricey. The entrees on the other hand were decent but I wish I would've tried the lamb sliders instead of the steak. The steak was nothing special. I would 1000% go back! I recommend Juniper for a fun date or girls night and sharing apps is the way to go! Until I return I will be dreaming about the fig and walnut butter on their rosemary focaccia...

This is a beautiful ambience instagram aesthetic type place. Beautiful venue on top of hotel downtown with some great views from their big windows and outside patio. It's definitely more of a bar than restaurant- their cocktails are great and creative. The food was more small plates style and didn't blow us away for the price. The exception is that we did really enjoy the rosemary focaccia bread and butter, that was very good. Overall you're paying for the atmosphere and the vibe. Really cool for a date night or girls nite or drinks after dinner or celebration etc. Not a family friendly type vibe definitely more adult. My favorite aspect is how they always decorate for each season and it's truly gorgeous! We've been in each season and it's always great. Service wise is usually good but on our last visit the hostess was pretty rude- just not friendly and kind of had a bit of an attitude. But everyone has their off days! Overall a fun and trendy type of place

Juniper was an absolutely spectacular experience! It's a rooftop of the AC motel. The restaurant is such a total vibe and very Instagram worthy. The beauty of the decor is just breathtaking. The service was great and Cassandra was very attentive. I do wish the food was a little better, but it was very decent out of everything we had the shrimp was most likely the best. If you're in Greenville, this is definitely the place that you want to visit perfect for a girls night out or a date night.

Husband took me here for V-Day. They had a set menu with alcohol options paired with food options. This meal was one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. Thank you so much Juniper and Mia for such a great experience and service! Here are some picture. We will for sure to be back to try their main menu.

We came here for a drink before dinner. The bartender had great recommendations and even made cocktails according to our taste with the kind caveat that if we didn't like them, he would find us something we did like. Even made me a rad vesper. The decor was really cool for Christmas as well. It can be a little tough to find though. We had to ask at the hotel front desk then do a little searching.

My husband took me to Juniper on Friday night. We made reservations and we were seated immediately. First of all...it was a very enchanting journey from the downstairs lobby to the top floor. The entrance downstairs...was decorated with FLOWERS! And the elevator is a painted mural. The main entrance was...you just have to experience it yourself (or you can look at the pictures attached). But it's BEAUTIFUL!!! We had a window seat which overlooked the city. Our server was courteous, helpful and she had a great personality. Juniper is known for is large selection of Gin! I'm not a heavy drinker but I ordered a chocolate martini only because I've never tasted gin before. We ordered Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer and my husband ordered a drink called "caught in the rain" which he enjoyed (I wanted to taste but it had pineapple in it and...I'm allergic ). Husband ordered the Southern Chicken and I ordered the Cajun Spiced Salmon. Our food was good! Since the appetizer was so large, we ate Brussels Sprouts with our meal. Around 7:30 or 7:45 we were graced with live music! A violinist played and a young Beyonce-ish young lady sang...and it was lovely! Juniper was a BEAUTIFUL experience and I will definitely come back!!

I've been here a few times and I just love the atmosphere!! You really need to get reservations when coming here because it can be rare to just walk in even if you are just wanting to get a drink at the bar. The florals and whole decor is so amazing. They took so much time decorating all this. I got a mocktail and I really liked it. Yes, $10 is a lot for a mocktail but it was more the atmosphere that you are also paying for. Plus they had live singing and violin playing. This place is great for a girls night out or even for a date night. I highly recommend!

This is great for drinks and apps but dinner was overpriced and not great. For ambiance... it's a 5. Beautiful decor and beautiful sunset. Staff was a 5. Drinks and focaccia were a 5. Entrees not so much. Stuffed zucchini was super bland. Not worth it. Jambalaya was just ok. Sea bass just ok. All of it was overpriced. It's also very dark so don't expect to see your food.

After hours cocktails for 4 I had been looking forward to our visit to the rooftop bar during our stay in Greenville. Originally, I made a reservation for 8:30, but due to a delayed dinner, I had to reschedule it to 10:30. I called and called and called the listed number with no answer, so I had to make this adjustment through the Resy app. We walked over from our hotel and found the entrance on the side of the AC hotel . We took the elevator up to the top floor and immediately started snapping some pictures. Instagrammable pic options are everywhere.  We approached the hostess counter and advised we had a reservation.  We were seated relatively promptly; however, once seated, we were somewhat neglected. The person who had seated us failed to return to take our drink orders. I had to go back to the hostess counter and let her know that we were waiting a long time for our server.  She followed up on it and a new server finally showed up.  We expressed our disappointment with the service and placed our drink orders.  We ordered a couple of rounds, snapped some more pictures, including some in the outside seating area, and then decided to leave. The ambiance of the establishment was very impressive, but regrettably, the slow slow service left much to be desired. And don't even try to show up without a reservation.

Excellent 21st birthday experience! Wanted to go somewhere with a super cool ambiance and yummy drinks to try, this place had everything I wanted and more... Beautiful decor and delicious cocktails, delish appetizers. Service was really good and the food came out fast. Focaccia with the spreads were awesome, spicy shrimp could have been spicer but still yummy! Yuca fries were different, but still good. About 15 minutes after sitting down they had a wonderful live singer walking around SINGING BEAUTIFULLY! (She even did a outfit change after a few songs, so cool to me.) To my understanding they always have some sort of music/entertainment. (Maybe just on the weekends). Would definitely come back for another special occasion. A little expensive but I totally understand for the location and experience you get!

We came to juniper for after dinner drinks and dessert. My friends loved the cheesecake but I thought it was just okay. The drinks and service was good. They had live music where the singers were walking around the restaurant and going up to the tables. It was very aesthetic there. Good for pictures & girls night.

Allison the waitress got us this view after the rude hostess said there were no seats available. She served us with priority and made everyone extremely happy. Couldn't be happier with her!

Such an amazing experience! The drinks were fantastic and had great presentation. The appetizers were also amazing and tasty. The live singer they had was also fabulous! Overall a fun stop for a girls night or date night!

When you look at the website, the images, the video, the reviews one would think those are the highlights, like a new movie trailer. Nah, this is an experience that starts when you look at the aforementioned, And from the time you step off the elevator and enter the isle of juniper it is all a part of the experience that is juniper. I'm not kidding, when you've been alive as long as I have, and cooked and ran restaurants for 40 years from Washington DC And surrounding I know what is good. I would only have issue with the food temp. Seemed like it was cooked on a diff floor and had to come up to the roofs still outstanding which says even more about the food. Scallops!!! If you love em like I do sometime they are mushy in the middle, kinda raw in the middle, tough. These scallops were like butter!!!! Great mouth feel flavor and that bed or amazing avocado pineapple and more goodness it sits in I would eat that on a boot!!!!! ( stole it from guy ) The shrimp, omg the lamb sliders!!!!! The Brussels sprouts are to die for It was amazing. Our group has been to 5 places for restaurant week and this place is tied for first with two days to go. You will not regret going there, I have to go back to try more

I came here for my 22nd birthday and my REAL SC ilicense is ripped hence it can't stay in perfect condition forever. there was 12 of us and because my ID was peeling after leaving a review they told us to leave. don't come here.

Such a cool vibe. Rooftop views were amazing drinks are so fun a must go to spot. Didn't get a chance to try the food, but will definitely order next time.

This place was so much fun!!!! Great place for mother/daughter date! Or a girl date! Or any date! The decor was whimsical and fun. Felt like a garden party. And the view was so beautiful! Atmosphere I would give 4.5. The food I would give a 3.5/4. It seemed some of the food was over seasoned/sauced. The drinks were so much fun and creative and the service was great! Would definitely go back.

Loved the rooftop restaurant here!!! We were seated outside and the view is absolutely beautiful at night. The weather may be cooler but we were enclosed and the heated lamps made it very comfortable that you forgot you were outside. Our group of 20 had various tapas from spicy shrimp, focaccia, heirloom tomatoes, chicken tingas and buffalo cauliflower as well as yuca fries. Everything was delicious and my cocktail of choice was " Is It the 90s?" which was delicious and sneaks up on you. Definitely love this restaurant and I would love to come back again for my next visit.

Had a group of nine and were sat on the patio area with NO TABLE. Food was mediocre. Definitely not worth the price. Drinks are not worth it either. One person in our party her food was raw and they acted like it was a big deal. 10/10 will NOT be back.

The brunch buffet was great. The service and the views were even better! This place is so cute!

Our waitress (Ashley I think? was wonderful and made sure we ordered in time to get our drinks before the show at the theatre began. Drinks were delicious, the decor was stunning, weather was wonderful. So sad I didn't have time to order my faves (Yuka Fries & Foccacia). We will be back!

My husband and I sat at the bar at Juniper last night and were extremely impressed! Our bartender, Joey, was so personable and took immense pride in his craft making the experience---he was very through in answering all of our questions, so meticulous when crafting each drink he made (for us and others at the bar). He even made the most delicious mocktail for me after asking the flavor profiles I enjoy. The focaccia appetizer was a great choice to go along with our drinks as well! The decor is incredible and a must see for sure!

Worst brunch experience ever! Went for Mother's day. It was only our 2nd time dining here. We had gone for dinner once before and everything was great so we thought we'd give them a try for their advertised "Mother's and Moet" Mother's day brunch at $50.00 per person. Their website stated that as a "special treat" they were gifting three hand painted bottles of Moet & Chandon champagne to 3 lucky reservations attending the brunch. We walked into a lukewarm/snobbish greeting by the hostess. Once seated, we ordered cocktails at an additional cost to begin with which were very good. We asked our server about the champagne give away. She looked confused and said she knew nothing about it. We had to ask her to ask someone else. After 15 minutes she came back and said that she was told that they would be given away "at a later date". There was no signage about it when we walked in. As for brunch they sent us into another room which was very unorganized. Breakfast food tables mixed in with lunch food. People were confused on which way to go. When we went in, there were no plates available. About 20 people were all standing around waiting on them. Food was picked over pretty bad without refreshing at all and our reservations was nowhere close to closing time. Worst omelet ever. Lukewarm coffee. Very limited selections of all brunch items and for 50.00 per person not even 1 mimosa was included. Still no word on who were the lucky 3 that won the champagne bottles. My opinion is that NO ONE ever received one and it was only a ploy to get people in. I can't blame them....they need something to get people to show up for that brunch. We feel it was $100.00 down the drain. Too bad because the place is beautiful although it's very poorly managed.

Juniper is *the* place where all of your rooftop bar dreams will come true. Located in the stylish Camperdowm Plaza, Juniper is ideal for a girls' night out/bachelorette party, or a special occasion. The elevator lobby is mirrored on one side, doubling the reflection of hanging crystals from the ceiling. Once you exit the elevator, you feel like you've been transported into an elevated tropical paradise. Their specialty is gin-based cocktails, as hinted by the bar's namesake. The drinks we ordered were well-prepared, flavorful, and cleverly presented. The night we went, there was live music and the vibe was energetic, but not painfully noisy. I would highly recommend making reservations ahead of time, even a week in advance.

The vibe inside is nice and vibrant. Appetizer was good. Wish they had more selections of food but overall its a great spot to hang out and chill with friends or significant other.. Great date night spot too.

Juniper - Greenville is a great place to go for quality food and drinks in a cool and unique atmosphere. I really like the location and views that they have available here. The staff here is very accommodating and makes sure that you have everything that you need.

I had been wanting to check this place out so badly! We only had 30 minutes because of our dinner reservation elsewhere and then our show. But we made it work! This place is so beautiful inside. It has been raining that day so they had the shades drawn outside (bummer)! We had our one drink and just enjoyed the bar and then walked out into the outdoor part. I'm glad I got to see this place even if it was short lived!

Feels like walking into a fairy tale exploring juniper. Every corner of this place is designed and decorated beautifully. The space is exquisite. The food is fabulous and the drinks are extremely special as well. If you're looking for a dining or drinks "experience" this is IT!! The best one in Greenville. However, if you're looking for a quick bite or somewhere to enjoy a nice sit down meal, this may not be the best fit. Especially if you can't appreciate the design. It is very much set-up as a place to socialize and sip versus grab a normal meal you would find anywhere else in Greenville. It would be nice if they could provide both, but the prices are a bit steep for the area. $18 for a cocktail beats even my "major city drinking experience" costs. But truly, even with the higher prices and small menu, it is worth seeing and experiencing, at least once. Especially if you're heading in and out of town as a visitor. You won't find a kinder staff anywhere around and everything is delicious.

The head of security at Juniper is madly disrespectful. Ruined my entire night. after spending $500 in the establishment with my kids and long time friends , we were reprimanded the entire night by head of security aka "the woman gustapo". if you want to know what it feels like to live in a communist state go to juniper in greenville "ac" marriott and have one interaction with this woman. she had the nerve to tell us multiple times that this was a five star restaurant and we needed to remain seated at all times and could not walk around the establishment without being reprimanded. The bar and bar staff = amazing. In conclusion, she's gotta go. Such a turnoff for what could be, an awesome, lively, electric rooftop bar. Such a Shame. *2 stars bc bartenders are awesome.

We enjoyed a great night here celebrating our daughter's engagement. The staff was great in helping us celebrate. The menu is somewhat slim but the drinks are special here. Live entertainment and photo worthy atmosphere make this a nice place for a celebration dinner or night out.

The vibes are unreal!! The restaurant is beautifully decorated. You can see the whole city from the rooftop. Food and drinks were yummy . Can't wait to go back
