Cute, curated and cozy coffee shop steps off of Magazine Street. Excellent brews and a great space to chill, study, or work. If you’re near by definitely pop in.

Junk Drawer/Sports Drink is such a positive spot for our community! The coffee is great, the treats are yummy, and the vibes are impeccable. I come here to work some days, I bring my dog at the end of our walk for a quick treat, and they’re always a great stop at the end of my morning run for a pick-me-up served with congratulations for a workout well done. I’m excited about the different events they have going on too!

I am visiting the area for work and am so happy I checked this place out before leaving! I love exploring coffee shops and Junk Drawer Coffee did not disappoint. Located right off of Magazine street, it was the perfect place to enjoy an iced coffee, breakfast taco, and relax. Andrew took time to introduce himself and discuss what type of coffee I was in the mood for. I ordered the fly swatter iced coffee. It had coffee iced cubes and I substituted oat milk due to a pecan milk allergy - it was so tasty and refreshing! If you are in town I highly recommend visiting!

Not an anxious human?! You’ll love it. Anxious human? Read below Pros: ✨Quirky in the most original way ✨Clean ✨Good coffee ✨Everything you need water- tea- coffee- Wi-Fi posted in a good location Cons:(my opinion- would not be everyones) ✨A bit small- Which makes me (an anxious human) a little awkward? Like sound echos. No false sense of privacy lol. I feel like I the screech of my chair or the sound of my couch is SO LOUD. ✨please ( for the people who are made anxious by being loud) WD 40 the front door hinges. Possible fixes for noise echo issue? Sound damping devices like in private offices? louder music? I want this place to be my go to shop so bad! Ha

The best shot of espresso I’ve ever tasted. (And that’s coming from a former barista.) Awesome service, the barista even gave us an extra shot on the house. Cool chill vibe / atmosphere.

Google
What a charming and distinctive coffee shop! I was delighted to discover that they also offer a wonderful selection of spirits. After dinner, we dropped in for a delicious spiked coffee. Andrew, the owner, was friendly and welcoming! If you’re ever in the area, be sure to pay them a visit. We didn’t stick around long because they were getting ready to close. However, long enough to take time to write this review! Oh! They also host stand-up comedy nights and have a couple of swings for those feeling playful-as we did!

LOVE Junk Drawer especially with their expanded menu and always fun events. Even has some food options suitable for vegans. Great atmosphere and always a welcoming environment. If you’re looking for a great option to beat the heat this summer, have a drink, a drank and make some good friends; this is your place!

This place is not only my favorite coffee shop in New Orleans, it’s one of my favorite spaces period. The people there are so welcoming and lovely. They are always taking steps to foster community in their neighborhood. I have met so many wonderful people through events that they host. As for the coffee, I have to do decaf for health reasons. I am super picky about my decaf espresso and this place is the gold standard. Their decaf cappuccino is top notch. The space is great for co-working. I have found it to be a very safe, inclusive, queer friendly environment.

Yelp
This little gem of a coffee shop is located just off Magazine Street New Orleans. The vibe is fun and friendly. Coffee is seriously good. Breakfast Taco awesome! Cozy spots to read or converse, lots of outlets for the student/ WFH set, even swings!! We met so many really nice people here and had engaging conversations. A great place to gather or get a cup to go!

Yelp
Cute coffee spot off Magazine Street. The baristas are super nice. There's plenty of indoor seating and indoor stage for comedy nights.

Yelp
If you haven't stopped by one of Junk Drawer's comedy events, you're missing out big time!!! We stopped by for a coffee earlier in the day which was so good and then came back for Moral Panic! Stacked lineup, loved it Also super cute atmosphere, designs, and it's awesome that they collaborate with local artists and creatives:) See the photo for a recreation of us laughing so so hard at this comedy show

Yelp
This place is a cute cafe. I didn't have coffee during my visit, but I did enjoy the green tea I ordered. The barista made sure I was satisfied with the sweetness level before I sat down. I will say, the vibe is more of a place to grab a coffee and chat with a friend versus remote worker friendly. It was definitely a bit noisier than I would have liked, and I did eventually leave to find a quieter place. So just know if you're going catch up on some work, this *might* not be the best spot lol.

Yelp
The other day I stumbled across this new neighborhood coffee shop just off the beaten path of Magazine Street. It is absolutely adorable in here. As soon as you walk in, it's very warm and inviting with some pretty cool seating options (there are swings, y'all! How cute is that?!). I didn't try any coffee, but I did see that they had all of the usual suspects as well as a really nice selection of teas. They also have a grab and go selection of beverages like mineral water and a small assortment of pastries if you're in need of a snack. It's super quaint and cozy, but doesn't feel too cramped. They have a gender neutral restroom which was spacious and clean. The music selection was good and not too loud--there were some folks in the space using their outside voices which was a little overwhelming for such a small space, but other than that it was a solid. I was looking to change up my scenery and get some work done and it was the perfect find. On most evenings, it looks like they go from coffee shop to event space and they have a very well stocked events calendar so definitely check that out as well.

Yelp
Cute little spot with small but tasty menu. The specialty drinks all sounded great even if I only got a matcha latte. Based on other reviews I'm guessing the guy who took our order is the owner and I have to say he is SO welcoming and hospitable.

Yelp
The best coffee shop in New Orleans. The best place to bring friends that are coming visit the city and then walk around Magazine St. I couldn't recommend this place enough! Such friendly workers

Yelp
Great services and good "cortados" that make a family memory. The food and muffins were a great combination with the environment. Great vibes.

Yelp
FUN evening of comedians - good drinks, funky atmosphere. Service was good - although understandably they were slammed with the crowd. We didn't buy any food - but those near us did and it looked yummy & the certainly enjoyed it!!! Will definitely be returning.

Yelp
food and coffee is great, ambiance comfy n fun, full of personality. The owners Andrew & David are the best, so neighborly and genuine. love it here

Yelp
best shop in the city since congregation shut its doors! i'm so happy to be able to come here on the daily and get work done -- so many outlets, always a reprieve from the heat, and really good coffee & music.

Hanna M.

Yelp
The specialty drinks are so unique and delicious! I also love that this cafe focuses on darker roasts, which is definitely something missing at most coffee shops today. There are lots of outlets for plugging in and sitting for a while.

James B.

Yelp
Great vibes all around. I love how this place doubles as a coffee shop in the morning and entertainment at night. The staff is great and I'll definitely be back!

Kristine N.

Yelp
This place is really cute! I love the atmosphere, everyone was really friendly. I went later in the day so they didn't have a lot of pastries (as most coffee places dont around that time), but the had a slice of Focaccia bread that was delicious, and they were baking cookies. I didn't see a drink menu, but since it's a coffee shop I figured they had the basics and just asked if they had Oat Milk which they did, so I got an iced oat milk latte, and it was fantastic. I can tell it's still pretty new so I'm sure in like 3 weeks it'll be even better. I'll be interested in seeing if they have any special flavored drinks or food planned. And it looks like they have live entertainment there too. It's definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
What a wonderful new spot to visit. I was visiting from Berkeley and the owner, David, was so generous, welcoming and friendly. The coffee is amazing. Next time I'm in NOLA, I will definitely return more than once. Great place!
