The long, awaited anticipation is finally here! As soon as the park opened at 10am, I beelined straight towards Jurassic World: The Ride, of course! I was fortunate to have ridden Jurassic Park: The Ride one more time before it officially closed down in the Summer of 2018.
Tip: If you happened to sit in the first four rows, you will get soaked. If you want to be fully drenched, aim for the first two rows. I sat in the fourth row with this lovely European couple and we were soaked. I also brought along my backpack and it was soaked too (luckily, nothing inside was wet and/or damaged). Next time, I'll leave my backpack in the lockers. If you bring your phone and/or camera along, make sure it's somewhat waterproof.
Wait Time: Depends on the time and day you are going. Since it was my first ride of the day on a weekday that I went, I waited no longer than 5 minutes. This ride also has the Express Pass and Single Rider lines, yes!
Estimate Ride Time: About 8 minutes.
The first part of the ride is through Mosasaurus's aquarium. You get to see her swimming around, eating the marine life. She'll also attempt to crack the glass, which will prompt the first series of splashes on you. I was slightly bummed with this first part. I was hoping that there would be some kind of animatronic with Mosasaurus jumping up and eating the great white shark like how they did in the movie. Nonetheless, the audio and visual effects are crystal clear and stunning.
Next, you'll continue floating through the "scenic" attraction. The dinosaur animatronics are cool looking, and you'll get "spit," on by some playful and mischievous dinosaurs, lol! From the Studio Tram Tour (where they have the Jurassic Park/World vehicles), I honestly think they should've brought over the round, blue vehicle and place it in this section.
Finally, you'll get to Predator Cove. Here's where the ride starts to get bumpy, exciting/spine tingling, and yes, you'll really start to get soaked, lol! You'll see the Raptors around the cove and the Indominus Rex attempting to bite you overhead. Finally, the pièce de résistance: Classic TRex roaring overhead with you shooting down a final chute/drop and getting soaked one last time before the ride is over.
Overall, I enjoyed my first ride here at Jurassic World: The Ride and look forward to coming back here again whenever I visit Universal Studios, yay!
