Just Poke

I’ve got to say, the customer service at Just Poké is absolutely top-tier. When I first started going, I was honestly a little embarrassed because they knew me by face and name — and even what I was going to order. There were times I’d walk in and before I could even say a word, they were already making my bowl! From day one, I fell in love with this place. The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful — seriously addicting. Every visit just kept getting better. The staff is always friendly, fast, and welcoming, and the setup is always spotless and ready to go. I can’t think of anywhere else in Bellingham that offers the kind of service and consistency that Just Poké does. If anyone ever needed to find me on short notice, they’d know exactly where to look — I’m guilty, I’m addicted. This place is the best.

Outstanding customer service! I have celiac disease and accidentally ordered something with gluten. At the end, an amazing employee named Emma caught it and kindly said, “This actually has gluten in it, can I remake it for you?” She went above and beyond to make sure my poke bowl was completely safe and free from gluten and any cross-contamination. Delicious food and even better service, give Emma a raise!

I like how their bowls are customizable. They were out of a few things the last few times I’ve went (ahi tuna, crab salad, etc.) but they had substitutions. The staff here are sweet and it’s always very clean inside :)

Update: Decided that maybe because it was new ownership that they just needed to get it together, so tried them again after about 10 months and that was not the case. It is clear that the new ownership has just started offering a lower quality product. Really wish I could have the old one back because it was amazing and the new owners ruined it. Previous Review: They are The last few times I have ordered the torched salmon bowl it isn’t torched at all. I even put in the special instructions “extra torched please” but I keep getting raw not torched at all. M not sure what the point of offering something if that’s not what you are going to provide and why give option for special instructions if you aren’t going to read them. Been going here for a year and a half and this is a new problem, it was not an issue as of two months ago. Update: the owner stopped buying the special bowls for the torched bowls and the employees can’t torch in the reg bowls because it burns them. So that is why I keep getting raw bowls now when used to be perfect every time. So this is 100% an owner problem. Employees are very good.

Been here twice. The ingredients are good. Portions are a good value for the price. This is in 2023 after it just opened. Let’s hope it stays like this long term and it will be a frequent spot for us. The place is clean. One thing that is inconsistent is how the portions are served, in terms of appearance, quantity and the general appeal. We’ve had really good and average. Hopefully that gets streamlined.

We have loved Just Poke through the years but have been disappointed the past couple of visits. The rice has been under cooked the past 2 visits. Also, the quantity in fish has drastically been reduced…a bit off putting seeing the girls weigh the fish and re-weighing it couple of times to get it just right. However, we understand the cost and inflation these days. The miso soup is extremely bland with little to no flavor. The service has been marginal and not as friendly as it was over the years. Please get the rice cooked right and not hard and under cooked. Lastly, the restroom toilet is awful and not clean like it used to be. I really wish I didn’t have to leave this review but we really care about this business and want to see improvements made. We will continue to support you all and hope this feedback helps.

Im a regular at the downtown location, never have issues there. On Saturday I got a heat wave bowl and There was not much brown rice in it, there was a brown hair on my food too. Upset and wont be back here.

I got poke here yesterday and I was so sick that evening. I’ve had poke from their downtown location and it was fine. This one didn’t taste the freshest. I will definitely not be going back.

The food is so fresh and delicious!! I love the salmon, rice, edamame etc...bowls. It's all very good. I love that everything is very fresh and flavorful.

Quick, enjoyable food allowing my wife to get mild while I get spicy add-Ins. Lots of choices with friendly staff. Usually it's very quiet inside even with multiple tables occupied. We mostly dine in but we have taken food to go--either way we have plenty to eat. Can't go wrong with poke.

Conveniently located and the ingredients satisfying. However, the service has declined. Especially, with the orders for pick up. More training needed. Possibly lacking tolerance for certain individuals. I was picking up an order around 6:30pm that was ready. I walked in and there were two staff members, each with a customer. One was finishing up an order. I waited until she rang him up. I received no acknowledgement. Plus, it was obvious I was there to pick up because I was standing on the side where the register is. After the girl rang up the customer she was with, she walked away. Then more people came in and she started to help them instead. The second girl, also, no greeting or acknowledging that I was standing there. I had to step in and ask to pick up my order. Her response was, "What? This order?" It was the only bag and she didn't apologize or say thank you. Other customers ordering and sitting were watching. She looked a little stoned / ragged. At least there were chop sticks in the bag. Usually, I'd have to grab utensils on the way out but it's no big deal. People place pick up orders for a reason. Also, some customers work in film, catering, etc. It's difficult and humbling work but carpe diem because opportunities can walk through the door anytime, and can be missed over something as trivial as an ego.

I've been to Just Poke many times and love it. The food is consistently fresh and tasty. They've got lots of choices with plenty of tasty Sauces, tooi prefer Barkley location because it isn't as busy as their downtown location. It's a great place for Poke.

I am so happy that this location has opened! The lobby was quite clean and inviting with an intuitive flow from door to register. Their pricing is standard for Poke as expected. They do have some pre-made bowls if you aren't familiar with the flavors, as well as vegetarian options. I forgot to ask the name of the person who helped me, but they had plum hair and were super nice. They took the time to help me feel comfortable while I looked over their toppings and mix-ins. Even hovering by as I packed up to leave offering help without being asked! Food was tasty and well prepared. Just a great job by all involved. Recommended for a workday lunch!

Very disappointed with the whole experience here. I am a huge poke fan, so I trusted the reviews and tried this location, and everything was disappointing. It was very hard to give my order over the 6-foot high barrier, I had to get on my tip-toes just to SEE through the glass. I had to SHOUT to place my order because the server kept saying "what?" When I got my fish, she weighed out every scoop (which I understand she is supposed to do, no biggie) but then when my husband ordered, she gave him two scoops of everything! My bowl looked sad and empty next to his. To top it all off, the ahi tuna tasted so foul I had to spit it out. Very unimpressive for a close to $20 meal

Good food good service. Better than the downtown location in my opinion. Wish they had the blackened tuna as a protein option, that was the best dish.

stopped in for a quick weekday lunch to go & was the only person there, surprisingly! a large specialty bowl was around $18 before tip, but super yummy and seemed fresh. the dynamite bowl had some good kick to it! would definitely come back to try their other options

This was a new experience for my boyfriend and I and we loved it. Absolutely delicious.

Service is sssssllllooooowwwwwwwww and they don't care. If you have no sense of urgency for your customers, it's noticed. Don't waste your time with this place.

Very helpful and friendly service, food is good and clean. Been a few times here and we prefer this location than the other one but both are good.
