Today in Double Entendre Reviews, I just found a new spot. They will take the time to toss your salad for you. You should check it out sometime, see if you like eating out here. It's called Just Salad. I used to go to Cosi, Corner Bakery or Panera to get my salad tossed. You never knew when you pay in advance if they will actually toss your salad, or just pile on top, with a little creamy cup on the side. Not surprisingly, none are still operating downtown. They keep getting shut down, despite how popular they were. Likely for the poor service and inconsistent effort in tossing. Nice to see someone else is rising up to fill the void. And the price was fair for the service you get. Downtown these sorts of places can get very pricey, and you leave disappointed or still hungry. I was fully satisfied and didn't even feel bad about my choices in the end. As an added bonus, this location seems really popular with hot young women. They all seem to like eating out here. They come in pairs, trios or even larger group of hotties. I didn't even feel out of place being one of the few men getting their salad tossed here. Everyone seems welcome to get a tossed salad here. I will be coming again and again. Thank you Just Salad, you are all I wanted.

Yesterday we placed an order online and I got a wrong order (the driver misplaced bags I guess) , I called the store back and the lady apologized and confirmed they will send me my order shortly. Upon receiving an order again I noticed that no one bothered to read my order instructions and still put a crispy breaded chicken even though I asked for oven roasted one. Very disappointed with this location.

I walked three block to pick up my salad and then walked back to my office and started eating the salad. I got about half way through and realized they forgot the protein. I walked all the way back and politely told them about the omission, and they refused to add it, because I had already eaten some of it. If you get food to go from here, make sure to examine it before you leave. I will never eat here again. They have terrible customer service.

Absolutely amazing bowls for vegans and vegetarians! They are so amazing. I ordered an Earth bowl and my european credit card wasn't accepted by their system. So they just allowed me to eat it for free! Amazing people, thank you so much!!

We ordered for delivery and we were not disappointed. I chose the Buffalo cauliflower salad with the homemade buttermilk ranch. The salad was delicious and will definitely order again.

Came here for a healthy lunch while visiting Chicago. It was after peak lunch hour during the week, so it wasn't crowded. Walked up to the counter, was immediately greeted, and ordered my Plant Power Salad. Worker was very efficient and had my salad made in less than a minute. It was less than 5 minutes from walking in to sitting down and eating. Greens and other ingredients were very fresh. The chickpeas, edamame, beets, onions, and pumpkin seeds went together very well. The pickled onions made a big difference. I enjoyed the salad, but the wraps and bowls looked very good too. Good place to come for a healthy meal.

Just salads is my go to spot for great salads. My favorite is the Balsamic Chicken Avocado and it never disappoints. The staff is very friendly and they move things along quickly. I stopped by today and Gaby was very helpful.

I've been here dozens of times. Great salads with fresh ingredients. The folks behind the counter are quick and kind. My favorites from here include the Chicken Fajita bowl and Crispy Chicken Poblano salad. Their seasonal offerings. are usually worth trying too!

While I can safely call myself a salad girl, I was on the search for a wrap since I needed to eat while on the go at work. Luckily, Just Salad offers a vegan chick'n wrap that was perfect! Crunchy pieces of vegan chicken packed with fresh veggies and topped with a tangy Chipotle sauce. Everything was mixed and wrapped well so there were no issues enjoying it during my event. I only wish that there was a way to toast the wrap since that would have made it extra good. But for a $13 wrap in the city, it was great to be able to enjoy a completely vegan option on the menu that wasn't just greens and a dressing.

Yummy salads and great service! Great spot for healthy lunch if you work in the loop. Even during peak lunchtime the line usually isn't too long.

Delicious and convenient food that is reasonably healthy too. Good place to go to for lunch if you work in the area. A better sweetgreen.

I find myself craving the Crispy Chicken Poblano salad often! The flavors mesh perfectly from the corn, pickled red onions, and cheese. The chicken is just ok as most chicken at chain salad places is but I like the texture of the crispy chicken with this salad. They also give you a fresh lime wedge which is the perfect addition. I like the bread at Just Salad too, it's simple as expected but more of a focaccia which is a little different from other chains. For the price, I wish the portions were a little bigger (sometimes I am still a little hungry after my salad) but I like the flavors enough to make it worth going. Highly recommend this salad!!

It's an alternative to Sweet Green if you're looking for more salad variety. The place is packed at lunch time. The line snaked through restaurant. It moves quickly. It was my first time - I tried a warm salad (Chicken Cilantro) that was filing and tasty. You move through the line pretty quickly if you order off the menu. They'll prep your salad in minutes. It can be chaotic. Receipts were falling into servings bins and cutting services being re-used. In minutes, the cashier will have rung up your order and you're out the door.

I loved this spot. I was staying at the Hyatt Regency next door to the Illinois Center and came by here a couple of times. It was really great to get a fresh and healthy salad for lunch a few days. I like how everything is customizable but they have such great combinations. I tried the chicken poblano one day and that was kinda like a zesty caesar type salad. I had the vegan salad the next day and that was also good. I feel like the portions are a good lunch size. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. I did wish they were open on the weekends though I understand that they mostly cater to folks who work in the area and not the tourists who come by.

Just Salad... ilysm. Please can you come to Milwaukee? I come down to Chicago now and again to visit our office in the Merchandise Mart, and this spot is always, always my go-to for lunch. Here you'll find customized salads, wraps and smoothies (aka my dream). When I say customized, let me tell ya, you can literally make anything you want, or make alterations on an existing menu item. Most recently, I oped for the Thai Chicken Crunch salad and it was a delight. The romaine was extra crispy, and all of the toppings paired well together: roasted chicken, sliced carrots and cucumbers, fresh cilantro, shredded cabbage, and wonton strips. Oh and let's not forget the best part, which is the spicy Thai peanut dressing + squeezed lime. The whole thing was very light, refreshing, and tasty! Also, they have drink options that I love (but are often hard to find), like the Poppi prebiotic soda. I went with watermelon flavor and it was great. The staff here are immensely fast, like it's no joke. If you approach the restaurant and think "oh that line is long," fear not! Because they are so, so speedy. It doesn't make for them being the most friendly, since they clearly have a fast-paced job to get done (no time for chit-chat), but hey, ya come for the food, em-i-rite?

Got the Crispy Chicken wrap and it was delicious. Also got the detox smoothie and that was a huge disappointment. It tasted of watered down pineapple juice while it was supposed to have apple, spinach, lemon and ginger in it...didn't taste any of that. She put about 2 leaves of spinach in, a massive cup of ice and then poured water in it so it's not surprising there wasn't a lot of flavor. Definitely not worth it.

I am disappointed as I am a frequent customer here. Recently I ordered a salad and was charged accurately but missed the tofu and found a hair . Do better Just Salad for the prices u charge.. do better!

Slightly above average. Salad was good, but restaurant was dirty. Staff was reasonably helpful but not very cheerful.

I ordered Just Salad for the first time ever during my lunch break, and I think I'm in love. I built my own warm bowl with the broccoli/cauliflower rice, oven-roasted chicken, golden beets, balsamic mushrooms, avocado, cucumber, roasted sweet potatoes, and the spicy turmeric tahini sauce on the side. The broccoli/cauliflower rice is a MUST (so good) and I loved this dressing. I ordered online and it said the expected wait time was 20 minutes, but it was ready to go in probably 10 or less. I love the sustainability aspect of this company too with compostable materials! The ONLY reason this isn't getting a 5 star review is because the cost of my bowl was $15.50 after tax (a little pricey imo), and I felt like it wasn't big enough of a portion when compared to Sweetgreen's bowls.

Yum! So many healthy choices to choose from. I think I have completely overdid it with all the toppings but my salad still turned out to be quite delicious. I'm taking one star off because I wasn't asked about my choice of the dressing, my salad was tossed with Buffalo sauce which is not my favorite. Oh well. I will certainly be back and will recommend this place.

For a $13+ salad-only place, I think most people expect it to be filled with fresh greens. To be fair, it was a Monday and was probably a batch from Friday but someone should have checked the freshness before making salads on Monday. Probably will return but not on a Monday.

Phenomenal! I had incredible service and a wonderful salad. I had never been here before and the young ladies took the time to tell me all the options. I went with the build your own salad.

Ive ordered three times. first was great. second and third my stomach didnt do so well and others in the group said the same. i let the staff know on the second upset stomach and they offered a free sandwich but i declined.

Stopped in today since this is one of the most convenient places for me to grab lunch and I was out running errands on my lunch hour. Their crispy chicken salad is really, really good, and the salad dressing is so delicious! Ever since I visited another place in Asheville that had a spicy jalapeño (or other pepper) dressing, I have been craving it, and the spicy dressing they have here is fantastic. I wish they'd bottle it. I'm glad it's near work so I can get some veggies in easily if I like.

I got a surprise bag of leftover food from Too Good to Go, which is an app that lets restaurants sell food at a discount that would have otherwise been thrown out. I appreciate that Just Salad is on the app and fighting food waste! I got a bowl with lettuce, rice, Brussels sprouts, pico, and tofu (I did not get to pick what was in it). The bowl was pretty good and had a good amount of food in it. The only issue was that the tofu had a weird, offputting texture. Also, it took awhile for a staff member to come out after I walked up and called out "hello".

I've been here twice (most recently 10/19/22) for lunch, and LOVED both items I chose, though 1 more than another. First time I ordered a warm bowl, with butternut squash, goat cheese and balsamic dressing. I subbed out the chicken thighs for Beyond Chicken. It was SO GOOD!! Yesterday I ordered something else, the Chipotle Cowboy, also with Beyond Chicken. Super tasty, but a wee bit spicy for me, I think next time I'll ask for 1/2 ranch, and 1/2 Chipotle dressing. It's nice they have protein options, even for vegans!! I also tried the reusable bowl option, for $1, and it came with a free topping. Will def go back!!

Annie & Yari crush it at Just Salad located in the Illinois Building! I have been in multiple times now and both Annie & Yari are fast, efficient, helpful, accommodating, and know what they're doing. There have been times when I've been in and my bowl is 1/2 full. Annie & Yari make sure you get what you pay for - these are not cheap salads! I will definitely keep going back to this location for lunch

As a Californian, I have to say that I am jealous of Chicagoans for having this awesome place for lunch all over the place. You can build your own salad, Subway style, or pick one of their pre-arranged salads. They even have some quick take-away options. I had the Chicken Shawarma Salad - for $11.50, it was a generous bowl of chopped romaine and shredded red cabbage, lots of chicken shawarma chunks (that were warm), feta cheese, chickpeas, Kalamata olives and cucumbers in a creamy yogurt herb dressing. It was protein packed, super fresh and absolutely delicious. While my salad wasn't exactly tossed, I could get the good stuff from the middle and mix it with the greens. The staff is efficient, and there are plenty of them. They are definitely working on getting people through the door. They aren't the friendliest group of gals, but they get the job done. I wish that they were in my neighborhood! This is a great place for a modestly priced lunch.

I like Just Salad. Ingredients were fresh. It's hard to eat healthy (for me), and this makes it a little easier. Good service. The place was pretty clean. Lots of seating. You can buy a bowl and feel good about taking care of the environment.

Erica is always super patient, beyond positive & chill af when it comes to ordering off the menu. Erica is such an asset to hangry, picky patrons at Just Salad. Crown her with a raise!

I sent the following message to Just Salad customer service a few weeks back: "They were out of the Daring chicken today, so they offered another protein. I don't eat meat so I changed course completely and ordered a different salad. The staff member & manager both apologized. I've seen the manager there before. She's always helping the employees out and offers smiles to customers. We shared a laugh about something further on down the line. By that point I had decided I would send this message. Then the employee told me my salad was comped - nice! This is the second or third time I've been pleasantly surprised when visiting that location, aside from getting a well-made salad with fresh ingredients. I'm convinced that the manager is helping the place run like a well-oiled machine (even if the Daring chicken occasionally runs out during the lunch rush), and for that, she should be lauded." Everyone at this location is super friendly yet efficient. I recognize that can be a challenge when there so many people coming through at lunch time. Even when I order a MealPal, they jump right to it if it isn't already made. They also offer promos if you purchase or bring back one of their bowls, so they're saving the earth as well as keeping their customers healthy. Sure, $10-12 for a salad with tax is a bit steep, but I'm happy to pay a little more for healthy & sustainable eating on top of excellent service. Oh and the app is helpful to make payment and includes rewards after you buy a few salads. What can I say? I'm a fan! Edit: After perusing some of the other reviews I see the manager's name is Rosie. Just Salad is a great spot to grab a healthy and filling lunch in the loop. My go-to salad is the California Salad with balsamic and olive oil (about $11 with tax). Perk Alert* (1) Buy a $1 reusable bowl and get a free topping (like avocado) with every use; or (2) show your student ID card and you get a 10% discount. Lunch rush in the loop can draw long lines so order ahead or stop in early around 11:30 a.m. or after 1:30 p.m. Service is good and staff are friendly!

I love Just Salads. Not only is the food tasty and fresh, but the service is outstanding. The staff are friendly, service-oriented and efficient. I just tried their new plant-based tortilla - definitely going back. This has become my go-to lunch spot in the south loop!

The best Just Salad location in the loop and an amazing healthy lunch option. I come here two to three times a week and highly recommend hitting up their rotating seasonal menu. They always put together new fresh and crisp salad recipes in the summer, and transition to more belly-warming rice and veggie bowls in the fall/winter. There's something for any dietary preference or restriction (gluten free, low carb, meatless, you name it) and the reusable bowls are a big plus. Just pay $1 for a bowl and you get free avocado forever. FOREVER! Highly recommend it. Have to end with a shout out to Esmerelda, who is always so kind to new and repeat customers alike. She and Rosie will brighten up your day, even if you're in a rush and need to zip in and out!

I absolutely love this place! The Food is fresh, the place is clean, the staff are friendly and welcoming. They have A variety of salads/wraps/smoothies to choose from. Great if you're looking for something filling but not heavy!

So my first experience here was rather stressful.... I was in the city temporarily for work and just looking for a quick, simple salad for lunch. Unfortunately within the loop, the lunch "rush" is a bit ridiculous and you can spend the majority of your lunch break standing in line waiting for food. I lucked out and saw there was a small line for Just Salad... I was new to the concept, but right away you can see it's just a quick assembly line (Chipotle Style) where you can customize your salad or pick from a number of pre-set options on their menu. Once I talked to the nice person at the front of the line, I got a ticket and then proceeded "into the funnel" and gave my ticket to see my salad assembled. You can customize the pre-set salads as well... just need to tell them. Once your salad base is set, you are sent down the line where your name will be called to one of 4 chopping stations where the salad will be finished. They will ask you if you want bread, how much dressing you want mixed in, and if you want your salad chopped. Your salad then goes into a plastic container and you proceed down to the register to check out. When this place does get busy, it feels like the employees are yelling at you, but I think they are just trying to keep the line moving. Looks like they have plastic washable containers you can buy for them if you frequent this place a lot and want to save the environment from all the extra packaging. Overall, I've returned as a "veteran" but this is a place to get a fast, affordable salad for lunch in the loop. The dining space is modern... nice art on the wall that promotes green farming, fresh food, and clean eating.

I've been back in the office for only a few weeks, and Just Salad has been a highlight. The service is great--they already seem to remember me and go out of their way for me--and so is the food. I also appreciate that their to-go containers are cardboard instead of plastic, and they offer so many plant-based meat options. I'll be a regular!

I work around the area and Just Salad is a good place for a light lunch. I've tried several of their salads and the seasonal ones seem to be my favorite at most times. You can always build your own, but I recommend choosing a menu option as it can be cheaper. The service here is always great and the staff is extremely friendly. Jacquia did an amazing job with my order. I ordered the Sweet Valley however asked for several substitutes and she made sure I got exactly what I wanted. Very professional and efficient. Thank you for a wonderful service. I will continue to frequent this place every now and then, hopefully it doesn't disappoint!

3.5 -- this is a review specifically on the smoothies... Just salad offers 5 smoothies. They are all under 400 calories each, which sounds awesome until you read what is inside each. For me, sometimes im hungry but not hungry enough for a full blown meal, and usually a good hearty smoothie can satisfy that, however I dont think that is the case with the smoothies here at Just Salad. The smoothies pretty much all only include fruits, no veggies whatsoever. Not even spinach or kale?! And to add spinach or kale, it cost additional, making the smoothies $7.75!! Majority of the smoothie is ice, roughly 1.5 cups of ice!! Its not filling and so watered down. The fruits are all measured to a half scoop of everything. Unfortunately I don't think its worth it whatsoever. Id also like to add, ive purchased three smoothies here, all hoping it would change my mind but, all three times ive been disappointed. Sigh. Ive had much filling and cheaper priced smoothies around the loop, but my favorite spot to get your best bang for your buck is Mariano's.

Fresh, Fresh, Fresh!!! I've checked out many places in the loop looking for a good salad and this is by far my favorite place! They have such a good selection of proteins and additional mix in ingredients. Great selection of salad dressings as well.......I love the miso vinaigrette it is so good. I could eat here every day. I usually make up my own salad but a co-worker got the pre selected Buffalo Chicken salad and I tried that, it was yummy. I just cant get over how fresh everything is. I highly recommend this spot!

I'm currently sitting in California really upset that I'm not sitting in Chicago because there is no Just Salad near my house here. When we were in Chicago, we were staying just around the corner from Just Salad and found it on Yelp while we were looking for a healthy option. We had NO idea how popular Just Salad was in the area. We understood very quickly how delicious it was and came back two days in a tow because it was so tasty. I tried the Thai Chicken Crunch salad one day and the Buffalo Chicken salad the next. Both were amazing. I was also impressed with how much food was included in each salad! I got the full salad the first day, and the pick two the second day so I could also try some soup. The food was amazing, the service was SO fast (almost overwhelmingly so), and this location was clean and so convenient. Just Salad will always have a special place in my heart because oh my gosh was it such a delight!

Honeslty ....one of the best services I've EVER received it was such a long hard day but the warm energy as soon as i walked in CHANGED MY ENTIRE DAY...specifically the manager Rosie gave such a warm and vibrant service that i decided to make this a regular spot...she ensured that after i received my order everything was exactly perfect BUT what made the experience special was her conversation and how at HOME she made me feel...after such a grueling day at work it made ALL the difference and felt OBLIGED to make a review although i usually never make any...recommend 100% if your looking for a great meal and a space to unwind and catch you're breath...thank you thank you thank you!!! Hope others can experience the beautiful service and energy of this team at this location...thank you!

I've stopped here before a class a couple of times and I am a fan of Just Salad! You can build your own, or pick from a bunch of the menu ones, I have only done the latter the couple of times I've been there. I've had the chipotle cowboy and the Tokyo supergreens. The chipotle cowboy was decent, I have had better but I think it was because there wasn't enough dressing. My own fault though because they literally put the dressing on and you say "when" and they stop. I did get adequate dressing on my Tokyo supergreens and that was excellent. It had grilled chicken, carrot edamame slaw, avocado broccoli, almonds, furikake seasoning and of course the super greens. I really like how you can have them chop it up for you, such a convenient idea so there's no need for extra knives or silverware, you can just dig right in and save yourself the trouble of cutting and tossing the salad. Portion sizes are huge, but the price is also high, most of the full size salads are over $10 after tax. I can't complain though because the food has been really tasty, healthy, fresh and filling. Everyone in there is super nice. I will be a regular here for sure!

I got my salad with ritual the app today for their 1 dollar offer till March 22! Yes one dollar! One the side note my salad came exactly as I customized it on the app and tasted very fresh. Just salad is a good healthy alternative too a lot of fast food in the loop and it is also made quickly if you are in a rush!

I came in twice this week and both time employee Caesar was awesome, food was great I love the bowl options, so yummy!

The food itself wasn't horrible but if I knew the portion sizes were so small I never would have bothered. When I took my food out of the bag back at class, it shifted and you could see that the bowl was half empty. Horrible value for the money - 10.58 with a student discount and a half empty bowl of mostly rice. Never again.

Just Salad is my go-to lunch place. You cannot go wrong with the Chipotle Cowboy salad. ITS SO GOOD. I usually switch up the dressings and get it, although there are a lot of other options that also do not disappoint. Staff is friendly and welcoming. They just added mason jars with succulents in each table -- super cute. Im fortunate to have JS nearby, where eating healthy is both affordable and delicious (which is why I go a little too much!). I pay through the Level Up JS app and have also raked up points and gotten free meals. I super recommend this place.

This is a review of the food only, as we did delivery through Door Dash. I ordered the Autumn Caesar Wrap, which is a play on traditional Caesar by adding pears and dried cranberries, and it was delicious! The ingredients were well mixed in (a pet peeve of mine with wraps is when it's unbalanced and you get one bit of all lettuce and the next of all chicken, etc.), and they put ample dressing on, almost too much. Price was reasonable too, especially considering it was a pretty good-sized wrap and was more filling than I expected. The delivery took quite a while, we got a notification it was on its way and it still took a good half hour despite being only a few blocks from my apartment, but that's Door Dash's issue and not theirs, so I won't ding them for it. I plan to go check them out in person soon to try something else since they had so many good-looking options.

I was never a big fan of salads, but when I was craving one, I bumped in to Just Salad, my perspective of salads change. The salads here are amazing and the people here are quick and efficient at their jobs, especially @Cesar who prepared my buffalo chicken salad, which was amazing. I will definitely come back for some more salads.

Service was so friendly, and they had great recommendations for us first timers. It's great to have fast service, fresh food options when we're all so used to seeing a burger and fries on the menu. Would recommend the spicy avocado dressing and the build your own salad option!

On my way to the post office on Adams/Clark, I decided to stop and place a order. I ordered a Caesar Salad in a bowl. The salad was good. The ingredients were fresh and staff were great. My new lunch routine will include Just Salad.

I bought the miso ginger shrimp bowl and also the reusable salad bowl. I was told my next order would be in the plastic bowl, as what I was getting was a "warm bowl," I guess just used for cold salads. Okay, no big deal, but once I got back to the office, they completely forgot the "warm" component of the farro & quinoa base of my salad. I can't believe I spent $12+ on an incomplete bowl, and a reusable bowl they wouldn't let me use on my first visit. Meh.

Great service from Tyler in the Boca Raton location. He explained how everything works. Great service. If they work on the prices, I would come more to enjoy Just Salad delicious salads. The prices are expensive but Tyler gave outstanding customer service.
