This place is truly special. You can feel right away that this is a Thai family whose only goal is to delight their guests with honest, deeply authentic Thai cuisine. The food is outstanding, and the warmth of the people and the atmosphere is just as memorable.
Amber was our waitress, and her mother Annie -- the owner -- was there assisting as well. Annie has owned other successful Thai restaurants in the past and decided to open Just Thai about a year ago. So thankful she did.
We started with the steamed chicken dumplings, perfectly cooked. The Tom Yum Goong soup (shrimp, mushrooms, chili paste, lemongrass, tomatoes, and lime juice) was excellent.
Pad Thai with shrimp is a fantastic version -- the best I've had in Florida. The Massaman curry with pork (bell peppers, onions, potatoes, peanuts, and coconut milk) was deeply satisfying and full of flavor. The standout, though, was the roasted duck: half a boneless duck served with stir-fried vegetables and a house dipping sauce. Truly amazing. Annie told us her husband roasts the ducks himself and only makes a limited amount, so if it's available when you visit, it's an absolute must -- especially if you like duck. Just look at the photos. Do not skip the coconut ice cream, made by Annie herself.
