Bar has a decoy front window to appear like a lingerie/sex shop. No sign on the outside. Sort of an adventure to find it. It's a hidden gem inside. Fancy, ups ale retro style. Incredible drinks and music. Small relaxed environment. Right next to knight library. Located in a sort of sketchy area. So it's a real gem inside. Street parking. Lock your doors. No dogs allowed.

Very nice spot for a cocktail. Very friendly doorman and bartenders. I had a Free Man in Paris which was a refreshing gin cocktail. Drinks are $8 for classics and $12 for the house creations. Almonds, olives, cheese and charcuterie are also available for a light bite.

Loved everything about this place but the bartender. Not sure if it was just an off night but she was incredibly rude, and we were almost the only customers in there on a Friday night. Wouldn't look at us, waited a very long time to take our order, snapped at us impatiently several times, and for the most part acted like we were some terrible nuisance rather than customers paying $17 for cocktails. What a bummer. Won't be returning.

So the concept was very interesting to me and was appealing at first. The execution was not great. While I fully expected the dark atmosphere and the place looked great, the welcome left little to be desired. The music choices did not fit the atmosphere at all. The bar tender was pretty stand off-ish, and the man who let us in did not really entice us to want to stay. It was a little early in the night for crazy foot traffic but the 2 men at the bar seemed to only want to talk to the only other man who came in for a drink. My friends and I each had one drink, which were ok. All in all the place felt seedy, boring and as a woman, a bit uncomfortable. Would not bother to go back. Themes are great when you have people who are dedicated to making it an experience and worth your time. This place unfortunately fails on that for me.

A very chill and relaxing place to hangout with friends. Located behind a semi fake lingerie shop, this speakeasy style bar had great drinks and seat to lounge in and hang out with friends. The only downside being a short menu of food, but I still recommend the cheese plate. Just be aware it has a dark and moody ambiance to bring a flashlight/phone light.

On a Saturday night the bartender was angry that she had to make drinks for four people… She was incredibly rude and made a nasty comment after each person ordered. It doesn’t matter if you’re ordering one of the four cocktails on their menu - she’s going to be aggravated that you’re there - and you’re going to wait ten minutes for one drink. bring back the old owner.

Great concept, cool place. Old speak easy disguised as a lingerie shop. Drinks were good but the service really wasn’t great. Gotta get up and get your own drinks, which is fine, but the bartenders aren’t really quick to help even though it’s really not too busy. Definitely recommend checking it out, good ambience.

New ownership. The lingerie selection in the front room is not as well maintained and now less relevant as the speakeasyesque storefront from years ago. The curtains remain wide open now, also taking away from the original character of the place. Music is played very loud and while the drinks are good, it has lost its charm entirely. Once a Providence fave of mine but sadly I doubt I'll be back unless I hear of changes from others.

Love Justine's! Very fun to take unsuspecting people to because you have to walk through an unmarked lingerie shop, give your ID to the bouncer, then have him open the curtain for you to go inside. Plush corner couches, attentive bartenders, and delicious drinks. A memorable date night spot!

Justine's strikes the perfect speakeasy balance--hidden enough that it feels special, but not overly pretentious or trying too hard. The drinks are less pricey than most cocktail bars, so you can stay here a while and get fully immersed in the Great Gatsby vibes. If you're ready to venture out of downtown and try something new (but vintage), Justine's is just the ticket.

When I think of Justine, I always think of Theodore Huxtable from the Cosby Show "Justine! Justine! Ba da da ba ba ba ba da da ba da da boom" great episode! Now I will think of Providence RI! A great speak easy with truly crafted cocktails that are easy on the palate and wallet! I got the Sunny Days - Amazing!!

Nice spot,very vibey inside and some really good and unique drinks. The only thing I'd say is i wish the music a little bit louder, but the ambience of the conversations was also nice.

Such a cool place! Would've been one of my go to dive bars in Providence if not for the location. Stumbled upon this place on a Friday night after exploring few other places. I was also skeptical since most of the reviews seemed like they were from couple of years ago. The entrance is sort of speakeasy styled, and you do go through velvet curtains into a semi dim lit room. There are some tables around the bar and few couch seats otherwise, so not a huge space. The prices of their standard cocktails have gone up to 7$ which is still pretty good and the speciality ones are for 10$. Rose, the bartender was amazing and did a great job! They do have few finger foods on their menu if you're craving a little snack. The decor is simplistic yet modern and pretty well done. It wasn't packed when I went in but people came in groups and waves and wasn't loud or anything. Overall definitely a cool place that you must check out in Providence if nearby; it is a little away from other places and parking is limited. Overall 4.5 stars.

Cozy. Dark (but not as dark as Lily Marlene's which was the ultimate) A nice place to spend some time. No posers, no pickup scene, no yacht boys. There is some good talent behind the bar. The drinks are Just a little too sweet for my taste, and that's similar all over the area.

Stopped in for a quick drink after dinner and had s lovely time. From the street it looks like a lingerie shop but once you enter you are greeted by a dude checking IDs. You then pull the curtain aside and walk into a very charming bar. We grabbed a table up front while we looked over the menu. We both ended up getting a delicious cocktail but I cannot for the life of me remember the name. This is a great spot for both, a group of friends or an intimate date. Swanky, cool vibe and delicious cocktails!

Great speakeasy experience tucked away in a small shabby building. This place is hard to find and is by all means a real speakeasy. On entering a dingy lingerie shop, yes lingerie store you'll find an attendant who stares at you like what the heck are you doing here.. and then opens the curtains behind to let you in to the bar..Decent ambience ; dark, I may call it perfectly intimate for my liking. Drinks are wonderful for 7-11 $. I am into whiskeys so I had the Bourbon, Manhattan and the suburban.I was pleasantly surprised they were all good. The place has a very speakeasy kinda vibe and because of its stealth location you are not going to find crazies and binge drinkers. It's people who like to enjoy great cocktails and conversations. The bartenders are friendly and willingly explain the ingredients of the cocktail which is rare. The owner also owns magdalene room in Providence so he really knows what he's doing.

Great Drinks The theme is a 60's or 70's artsy cocktail lounge with a speakeasy entrance. The concentration is craft cocktails and they do it well. If your looking for a dimly lit, craft cocktail lounge playing great old classic music and looking to relax and actually speak face to face with whoever your with, than you'll like this spot. Thanks

So this speak easy is presented as a store front and you have to ring a Bell to be admitted. The decor once inside reminds me of a true speak easy from the 1920s. There are velvet seats, amazing fresh flowers, and chill jazz music. It's a must see!

A magical hidden speak-easy with a lingerie front and bouncer, opening its curtains to a vintage decorated, budget-friendly elusive niche. Pros: Cheap drinks, strong drinks, vintage vibe, comfy chairs, speak-easy sleekness, not over-crowded Cons: Drinks are small (probably why so strong), street parking, can be tricky to find What we ordered: We loved Manhattan and the Mary, both surprisingly strong for their $7 cost. Manhattan had the perfect tang to it and the Mary was delicately sweet. Two drinks of each and we were delightfully content. Ambience: Floral wallpaper and classy, yet causal, waitresses are perfect. Blue velvet couches are quite comfortable. With bar stools available as well. Prices: $7 cocktails. Enough said. Can't wait to be back :)

Cute intimate speakeasy behind a lingerie storefront. Location could be better because this place has so much potential once you get in. Service is personable and the vibe here is cozy and truly embodies a 1920s speakeasy feel. Parking is not easy ... take an uber here if you can.

Who doesn't love a good speakeasy? Justine's is actually a great speakeasy, and is one of my favorite places in Providence. Hidden in the backroom of a tiny, dark lingerie shop, this little place is a fairly thorough embodiment of the term "hidden gem". Once inside, the bar has an understated, authentic Art Deco vibe. Some places that style themselves as speakeasys come off as kitschy in the same way that 50s-themed diners do. Not the case with Justine's. The space is accented with fresh flowers, and a great drinks menu with cameos by a lot of classic players, like the Bronx cocktail, daiquiris, and stingers. Just be aware this is not a restaurant. They do have a limited food menu, but it's small, and mostly snacks. This is a place to just sit with one or two friends, and enjoy a quiet drink. And you will enjoy them, because they are both delicious, and inexpensive. I had two delicious French 75s for about $20, which is pretty much unheard of in other places that don't even offer half the atmosphere of Justine's.

Go ahead, just TRY and find this place. I dare you. It's in the sketchy part of town hidden behind a super secret storefront, but once you find it, you'll be in love. It's going to quickly become a hot spot drawing people out of Downcity into the Olneyville section of town to sample the cheap classic cocktails and tasty little plates of well-thought out food. Checking it out opening night, I got the Manhattan and the Ward8. I shared some bites with friends, including olives, some salmon and cheeses. A wonderful find - a great thing for that section of town!

Though Justine's does seem to be a signal of impending hipster-ification (the first step to gentrification) in Olneyville, it's nice to find a place a bit tucked away from the usual spots. We stopped by on a rainy Saturday night, made it past the burly (but very friendly!) bouncer through the velvet curtains, and found ourselves in an Art Deco/Nouveau room, lit with great vintage light fixture and vaguely Chinoiserie wallpaper. This place could be a speakeasy set for some kind of 1920-1930s era period piece movie. One qualm: the layout of the place isn't the most optimal; there could be more seats (or a banquette) replacing the tiny two-tops lining the walls. But it just looks great, so I will respect aesthetic choices. I think the cherries they use are either Luxardo or home-brandied. My estimation of a bar's quality ratchets down about 10 notches if I see that there are the fluorescent fake-maraschino cherries I hate behind the bar, so I knew upon arriving that I was in for a treat. They stock quality ingredients so even your basic drinks aren't made with some awful rotgut-quality well liquor. The drinks menu is well-curated -- no fluff, no filler, no dumb sugar confections with tiresomely risque names. Instead, classic cocktails for $5 each and a few inspired original creations for $8.50 each. I saw some people drinking Miller High Lifes (yeah, yeah, champagne of beers) and this seemed out of place to me, but to each their own. We had the vodka rock & rye and a Manhattan, and both drinks were generously poured and expertly made (the Manhattan is strong and vermouth-heavy, so keep that in mind if your preferences differ). I saw a group of ladies having French 75s, and while I do enjoy a good French 75, I wanted to try something a little more obscure. My drink was great even if the bitter lemon soda wasn't quite a real quinine-based bitter lemon (they use Polar brand seltzer/mixers). This isn't really a place where the bartender wants to have too much small talk with you: this place focuses on delivering well-made cocktails, not conversation. And I respect that a lot.

I was told about this place by my friend Diego, who learned about it from a Yelper....Social Media does work, I hope the owner recognizes how much business he is getting from the Yelp community. It is never a good idea to alienate any particular group (in reference to Elena's comment back in May 2013). There is no sign just look for the number 11 on top of the door and the sexy lingerie front......I guess the street is Westminster......as you walk into the bar, you are greeted with a nice cozy, warm lounge that has lots of class and warmth. The decor is kind of 50's with nice comfy couches and plenty of little tables. We were there on a Tuesday night and around 9 o'clock..there was a nice group of patrons. Love the fresh lilies, the cool flat screen TVs showing old movies and the cool decor. The cocktails were just OK, I tried 4 of them and I was not blown out by any of them....but they do serve wine and beer, if you want something not made in-house. Great prices on cocktails, nice small plates available too.

Very cute speakeasy, but pro-tip apparently during Covid you have to make a reservation. We were at first told me we couldn't get a seat but then they sat us outside, they said due to Covid everything was a bit different. But, the whole time the manager was a super nice guy and even sat us inside right away once another table left. Drinks are strong, good and reasonable priced, will definitely be back.

I want to love Justine's but I can't at this time. The ambiance is exceptional but we found the drinks to be off-balance. They should spend a little more time developing their recipes because Justine's could be an awesomely sexy spot if the drinks matched the decor.

What i love about this place more than ever is it's secretiveness. It's like 007! You almost need a secret password to get in. The outside is a sleazy lingerie shop and then right through a secret passageway is the bar! Very dark, very quiet gem! The drinks are cheap and very good! My fav is the Charlie Chaplin, south side and kosmonaught. We sat at the bar this time, bartender was cordial but not very inviting.... More mysterious just like the place.

Such a fun place. We started going here years ago when it was a secret. Now it has been widely discovered but the fun of entry hasn't changed. It can get a little tight in there when it's busy but you can always grab a drink and leave to experience the "hidden bar". If you want something different and like mint, ask for a grasshopper. Their Manhattans are really good too!

I would go there just for for the speakeasy secret entrance. The entrance is lingerie shop on the main drag. The Uber map sent us to the back entrance in alleyway which was confusing. The cocktails were decent. Their whiskey selection was limited. The bar tender was friendly.

It is a very nice and very hidden speakeasy. It took my boyfriend and I about 5 minutes to find it. I had to go on yelp and look at the reviews of the venue to direct me. So thanks everyone for all the reviews that you left before my visit there . Like most of the previous reviews explained, you have to go through a lingerie shop before you come in. There is a bouncer at the counter where the register would be and after checking for IDs, he opens the curtains for you to enter the bar. The drinks were very good. The place is very intimate and romantic. The decor is very nice (look up at the chandeliers) . Overall it was a nice visit. I will definitely recommend for people who enjoy romantic and original venues.

Enter through the lingerie shop. After having lived in Brooklyn, NY for 14+ years, I love a speakeasy that's really speakeasy-ish. Some friends of mine had been talking up Justine's for a while, and it did not disappoint. From its clever hidden entrance, to its amazing mid-century modern decor, Justine's feels like the real deal. I had an El Diablo. Loved it, and only $7. I also loved how the bar went from playing Twin Peaks on the tvs to the-flashes-of-male-nudity-infused Lady Chatterly's Lovers without hesitation - an unexpected bit of quirk. Would've tried another cocktail, but I was driving. I made a mental note that Justine's is worth an Uber.

Genuinely a true speakeasy, hidden in Olneyville behind a dark lingerie shop, an intimate date spot. My girlfriend and I love this spot and the drinks are always on point. We'd go more often but the prices are starting to climb from the once $7 anything on the menu. Regardless, great hidden gem

Cool vibe, great service, meh cocktails. Four of us went to this bar on Friday night around 7:30. The speakeasy vibe was pretty cool -- it didn't feel too exclusive, but it did feel private. We were the first people there and were warmly greeted by the bartender/barback. People started showing up promptly after we did and by 8:30, the actual bar was full (though there were plenty of tables for others). The bartender was super kind and helpful. They answered any questions and made suggestions. It was super inviting and we were really excited. The drink menu offerings were okay -- nothing terribly inventive, fairly standard cocktail fare. I ordered an aviation for my first cocktail, which was by far the best made drink (it's also a classic). Another person ordered the White Lighter (a mezcal cocktail) which didn't really work somehow. My second cocktail was the pineapple juice/rum/grenadine cocktail, which surprisingly didn't really come together. The others ordered the Pimms Cup which was fine, standard, and is relatively easy to make. I don't think the problem was the bartender; the drinks just weren't that interesting. Or, put another way, the drinks didn't match the cool vibe and excellent staff. Maybe they'll revamp their menu? I'll probably return at some point, just because the vibe and the bartender was so great, but I might just have some bubbly or beer (or maybe I'll try another cocktail since they were only $8).

-- Providence underground! ;) -- It's kind of in the middle of nowhere!! From the outside it looks like a lingerie shop with no signs. But don't worry, just enter and you'll be greeted by a bouncer who will check your IDs and will open the curtain for you and voila - the lounge will appear!! ;) They have awesome cocktail selection. The service is good. The crowd is better. It gets busy on the weekends so you might just have to stand and enjoy the drinks! Overall, a great place!

Cool vibe, mediocre cocktails. Perhaps we had a bad bartender or didn't order correctly but in my group of 4, none of us liked our drinks. I ordered an old fashioned which was off-menu but I feel like it's a pretty standard cocktail. An orange slice was muddled into it which is not like any old fashioned I've ever had, it was more like a whiskey-juice which is peculiar and I would not recommend it. Everyone else ordered on menu from the main cocktail list and we all tried each others' drinks and no one really liked anything. It's a fun place to take someone for the novelty of entering it but I'd suggested grabbing a quick drink and leaving. It's not a place to spend the night sipping cocktails.

Favorite Bar to get away at, without getting away from the city. Look for a pink-faced building in Olnyville Square, thats it. Yeah it's hood, outside. Inside you will find a welcoming treat behind the curtain. Specialty drinks are $5/$8.50. Right on point. Try the Jakarta Sling!

This is a really fun speakeasy type bar in Providence. They have really great drinks and ambience to match! This is a great spot for a date, or just a hangout, whatever suits your fancy.

Easily missed from the outside, but this spot is nothing to overlook. In the front is a Lingerie shop. Cute pieces too, but not for a thick-chick like me lol. Anyhow, this place is dimly lit with is cozy vibes and cute decor. The drinks were great, and the bartender was very personable. Next trip to RI, and this place will see me again! Hope you enjoy!

Equipped with the knowledge that there was no sign, and that the front of this place looked like a schmancy lingerie shop (thanks, yelpers), I knew exactly what I was looking for, so I am among the few that didn't get lost or end up looking like an out-of-place bumpkin on the mean streets of Olneyville... But it's worth repeating: There is no sign. Just look for a schmancy lingerie shop that's totally out of place on the mean streets of Olneyville. Upon entering, you'll get a sly look from the pretty girl behind the desk, who appears to be there to sell you lacy nothings and thigh-highs. However, she'll quickly turn around and open the black velvet curtain to reveal... Justine's. A small, dimly-lit bar with gorgeous furnishings and golden walls. There's no music, so everyone speaks in a hushed whisper, which just ads to the magic. The menu reads as such: classic cocktails that have been kicked up a notch, $5 on one page, $8.50 on another. There's also a decent wine and beer selection, and small plates if you need a nosh, which we did. To go with my Charlie Chaplin (a sloe gin and brandy mix that was sort of a take on the classic Hawaiian Punch - weird, but delicious and surprisingly not that sweet) and my hubee's Manhattan, we ordered a cheese plate. I'm sad to say that, by the time the cheese plate arrived, we were done with our teensy $5 tipples, so we went for round two. That time, I did the Ward 8 - a citrusy rye concoction that was truly fabulous. There were a few quirks, for sure (a snippy owner being the most awkward), but what I like about Justine's is that it's completely different that any other bar in PVD - some may not get it, but if you do, you're in for a treat.

Do you enjoy the thrill of the hunt? Do you long for discovering the latest hot spot (and delight in telling others that you got there first)? Do you think alcohol and lingerie are a logical combination? Most importantly, do you like classic, serious, expertly mixed cocktails for $5-$8.50? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, hightail it out of your comfort zone and head down to Olneyville Square, where the one-of-a-kind adventure that is Justine's has only just begun. If you answered "no" to all of these questions, I regret to say that there is something terribly wrong with you. Justine's is a challenge to access at first. During the day, it's impossible to find, as curtains obscure what's going on behind its glass windows. And at night, there is no proper signage. Just look for the door with #11 on it, beside a "Cash for Gold" place. If all else fails, look for the two nearly-naked mannequins wearing little wisps of nothing. That, my friend, is no crazy ghetto bordello. That is the entrance to Justine's. This place truly is "business in front, party in the back." Visitors can peruse and shop a fully functioning, tiny lingerie store before heading through a thick curtain into the venue's hidden bar. Word of mouth, whether positive or negative, travels quickly, and Justine's has benefitted from some terrific buzz. If you arrive late on a weekend night (anytime after 10pm), you may have to wait, as my friend and I did, a half hour before being allowed entrance to the bar. I recommend sticking around--sniff a candle or two, play with the lacy unmentionables, chat up the friendly shopkeeper, because the bar experience is oh so worth the wait. After three visits, I believe I've successfully made my way through nearly the entire cocktail list. At these prices and considering their quality, that is easy to do. The strongest: War and Fame. The sweetest: the Charlie Chaplin. The Stinger has a nice, minty bite. My favorite: a two-way tie between El Gordo and The Gibson, which comes with a tiny yet potent cocktail onion that infuses the flavor of the entire drink, making it sweet and earthy (bring mints!). The food menu is abbreviated; this is not a place to settle in for a full dinner. But if you want to accompany all the drinking with a fruit and cheese board, or some delicious marcona almonds, you will be satisfied. The décor is somewhat oriental, dimly lit with vintage chandeliers, and sprays of fresh lilies at the bar. It's all very seductive. I enjoy tucking into the corner booth and watching a strange and beautiful night unfold here. I struggled writing this review because I love the clandestine obscurity that still, sort of, characterizes the vibe at Justine's. I don't want the double edged sword of success to ruin that for the early explorers. But this cool cat is already at least half out of the bag, so what can any single starry-eyed romantic do to keep it from achieving full-on cult status? Phone your friend, lock arms with your lover, recruit your whole crew for a night out in Providence that's - for now - our little secret.

If The Avery and The Eddy hooked up and had a speakeasy child... they'd name it Justine. At first the Hus and i walked by.... a couple of times... i wasn't too happy about this as it's in a semi-sketchy section of town. We hop into the seemingly normal store and say... "Is this.... Justine's?" indeed it was.... After our ID's had been checked by the person at the door we were allowed into their inner sanctum. After bellying up to the bar we were promptly handed the drink menus and we were taken back by the VERY reasonable prices... I decided to go with the Kosmonaut (under $10) - a mandarin vodka concoction which tasted like a fancy Fanta with a kick... not to mention stars on top... a nice touch. For my second i went with the Charlie Chaplin ($5... yes, i said $5). This was my first encounter with Sloe Gin but certainly not my last. It tasted like a fruity punch delight and it was mighty tasty. The prices are great and the quality and care that goes into the drinks is very apparent. Can't wait to go back!

Pretty sure you are just cooler for walking in the door of this place. I refuse to call it trendy - Justine's is too good for that. Sexy? Yes. Edgy? Certainly. Like everyone else has mentioned, there is no sign, and you ARE in a rather sketchy part of town when you come here. Next to New York System, and in a building that houses a lingerie shop that doesn't quite fit the area, you walk in, get carded and behind a velvet curtain is the hippest little spot to hit Providence in a long time. Oh, and did I mention...$5 drinks? Can I get an amen? And these are not weak excuses for cocktails, no no: These are old fashioned, pre-prohibition style cocktails to go with the cool speakeasy vibe of the place. I have been here twice, and my favorites are the daiquiri, and the Southside, which is a refreshing cocktail (do not quote me, but I am pretty sure it is a gin drink), and I am told, one of their signatures. Get there early enough and saddle up to one of the booth tables to snuggle with your date or gossip with the girls. Justine's, I think I am a smitten kitten.

When my reviews are long, then you need to worry. This is a short review. It's nice in here. Real nice. Dark & quiet, you could actually hold a conversation. The drinks are top notch. (Try the Manhattan) This is a place to come when you Know what you want. If you want a drink, come here. P.s. There are no TVs, so if you want to watch the "big game" then maybe you'd better stay home.

This bar is definitely a place you feel cooler for knowing about, because your friends or date probably don't. $5 classic cocktails folks. FIVE. DOLLARS. The atmosphere in this place is sexy and intimate. That coincides nicely with having to walk through a lingerie shop and velvet curtain to get in here. (Awesome, right?) The secretive, lack-of-signage, and word of mouth expansion of this bars customer base has made it all the more alluring. A concept unique in Providence, if you ask me. So, sit down with your fellow, your dame, or just your friends and enjoy leisurely cocktails in a swanky spot in our fair city. Don't put your feet up on the cushions, it's rude and velvet is expensive to clean. Order yourself a French 75 and remember: Je ne regrette rien.

I know, I know, an updated review within 2 months? Last night my friends coerced me out of the house, we got to Justine's and the door person already knew who I was. She joked with me a bit about my temporary license and told us to get inside and warm up. She then casually said, oh, yea it's also our first birthday. We walked in and the first booth had a couple of sweet cakes set up and there were several cards being passed around. We had a few drinks, and the man of the night walked in and was in awe of the sweet celebration! Delicious cake was passed around and the owner actually sat with friends at a booth rather than taking his usual stance behind the bar. This is proving to be a cool sexy place, that still has a soul. Thanks for adding another gem to providence. I love the reliable cocktails, warm atmosphere and feeling like I know the best not so secret secret in town. It did get more crowded than it usually does on a thursday night, but I guess the hype is growing still. Please go and have a manhattan or French 75 and tip well. We need more ventures like this around town.

Justine's is a cute bar in Ollneyville Square. As others have said, there is no sign or indication of a bar. Correction to other reviews: it is 4 or 5 doors down from Ollneyville NY System. If you find a dark lingerie shop with bars on the window, you have found Justine's. The cocktails are delicious and only $6 dollars, a deal that cannot be beat anywhere else in Providence. You cannot go wrong ordering off their menu. The crowd is eclectic and fun. This it's definitely a great spot for dates, birthdays, or small groups (less than 6). I went on a weekend night and had no problems, contrary to other reviews. It definitely gets busier around 10:30 pm. The service is friendly and attentive. No one had to make a large effort to get a drink. This will definitely become a regular place for me.

So, I'm pretty sure I'm definitely not cool enough to hang out at Justine's on the weekends. I'm also fairly positive that I don't know anyone who is.. okay, maybe one friend but she doesn't even live in Providence anymore. Regardless, going in on a weeknight is recommended. Cool, speakeasy vibe with a $5 French 75 that was not only fantastic but has convinced me to never order one elsewhere (not even taking the much heftier price tag that normally accompanies one into consideration). The decor is on point and I can definitely see it being the perfect date night spot on a weeknight. I came for the cocktails and did not leave disappointed. I did leave because there was no where to stand let alone sit and I was wearing moderately clean, brightly colored clothing but that was on a Friday. Check it out on a Wednesday and you won't be disappointed. Did I mention to go on a weeknight?

I went here with a few of my friends and it was great! The craft cocktail menu is amazing! Creative and homemade! I tried the ward 8, French 75 and one with tequila. They were all out of this world. The price for every individual drink we got was only $5.00! Cool TVs on the mirrors behind the bar and friendly bartenders. I will be back!

There is no way you could ever find this place if you didn't know it was here. Thanks Yelp for letting me in on the little secret. Knowing that there wasn't going to be a sign and knowing that it was going to be a store front, we still had a hard time finding Justine's. Once we decided that "this" must be the place, I felt a little shady walking into the store and asking to be let through the curtains. But I think this experience is what gives Justine's some of it's charm. Once inside the place is very reminiscent of the Avery and Lili Marlene's. The drink menu has a large selection of classic cocktails and new cocktails. The best part of this is that the classic cocktails are wicked cheap - tell me the last time you paid $5 for a cocktail. I can't That plus the small selection of snacks and the intimate atmosphere will bring me back to Justine's, even if I feel a little sketchy at first.
