Justine's Secret House

As a couple with a limited wedding budget, we realized early on you have to prioritize the elements most important to you. For us, it was good food, intimacy, and personalization. Justine's Secret House knocked it out of the park for all of them! Good Food: Two months after the fact, and our friends are still raving about the prime rib and roasted chicken. The dinner was hot, fresh, and served promptly. Justine's service staff were very proactive in clearing plates and refilling drinks. My partner and I especially appreciated that we were served our plates first, so that we could finish eating with enough time to visit our guests. Intimacy: You cannot find another venue better-suited for a small, intimate event. It felt like we were having a party at our cool friend's house. The venue is thoughtfully laid out: moody rooms with cozy tables for personal conversations, comfortable outdoor spaces when you need a breather, and a large reception space that fit all of our guests AND a 3-piece live band. Personalization: This element was achieved by Aly, the venue coordinator, who really deserves her own 5-star review. From our first inquiry, Aly was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. She went out of her way to ensure that the event felt true-to-us. Through thorough email threads, numerous venue visits, and a special tasting night, Aly took the time to get to know us as a couple and made us confident that our wedding was in capable hands. Thank you again Justine's for a wonderful wedding!

Our recent wedding at Justine's Secret House was absolute perfection. From day one Aly, the event coordinator, just made the process so easy and comfortable. All of our guests were raving about the food and how cool the space was. It really felt special and intimate. Everything was taken care of for us and all we had to do was relax and enjoy the day. The location was perfect for us. All of our guests came in from out of state so they were able to stay close by and enjoy some Austin nightlife while they were here. They were also incredibly easy to work with when it came to dietary restrictions. I can't say enough great things about this venue and the staff.

Justine's Secret House is little hidden gem owned by Justine's Brasserie. The house sits tucked away on the east side, and offers a beautiful sexy, french, red interior with gorgeous artwork adorning the walls. I had a surprise wedding here and the staff were so gracious and helpful, the food was phenomenal, and the aesthetic of the house had guests awestruck. This venue offers the perfect canvas for your event and you seriously won't regret booking here. The staff does all of the thinking for you and take out any of the guess work. Aly+Erika were amazing to work with, I had so much fun planning with them.

A rare find of a venue to host a party in downtown Austin I have been photographing weddings for 20+ years and Justine's Secret House is a charming and unpretentious venue for an intimate wedding or event. The historic house is located in downtown Austin, a couple of blocks east of I35, and provides a convenient location for guests and vendors. The house has several different rooms painted in deep reds and blues, with a high ceiling and chandeliers. The front of the house faces north with a large windows for great natural light. The entrance to the house is through a tall ivy covered wall that leads you into the courtyard. The courtyard has a large brick patio that extends the length of the house and is lined with palm trees, native Texas plants, and garden statues. Justine's is known for their food and their catering staff matched that quality-- they were professional, courteous, and responsive. 1000% recommend having your wedding/event at Justine's Secret House. Everything about the experience was impeccable. Service and staffing, bartending, food, music, atmosphere. We had the exact wedding we'd been hoping for. Intimate, special, unique. Aly and Erika were both wonderful to work with. We lucked out with a warm December wedding and everything about it was perfect.

This was such a nice place to be at. The staff was very friendly and fun. They had everything under control at all times for the wedding. It was also very nice to see the decor, the paintings, the piano, the backyard and even the bathrooms. It's ideal for any kind of big event. I had a lot of fun and felt very safe there.

My wife and I recently had our wedding here and the venue, the setup, the wait staff, and the food were all top notch! Our guests during and after the reception could not stop talking about how unique/cool the space was and how excellent the food was! Aly, the event coordinator, did an amazing job guiding us through the whole planning process and making it all happen without any issues. If I could give Justine's Secret House 10 stars, I would. My wife and I got married here last weekend. The venue is beautiful, the staff that worked the event was fantastic, the food is amazing, and Aly made the planning process so seamless and fun. My wife and I could not be happier with how our party turned out. Our guests could not stop complimenting the venue and party. It is so unique and is such a special atmosphere. I recently attended a wedding at Justine's Secret House. I was trying to find some information about the venue ahead of time, but they really take the "secret" part seriously - the website is just photos. It was a smaller wedding so the ceremony part took place in the front courtyard area, which was intimate and cozy. It's right on the street so we heard some loud vehicles but nothing that really took away from the wedding. The venue is a house, of course, with many rooms and different nooks. One small room had the bar and an appetizer spread laid out, and another room had the dance floor with a DJ. I liked the different areas to mingle and hang out. The reception dinner was held in the back courtyard area, which was beautifully done with lights and great ambience. However the ground is a bit uneven back there, so I was slightly tilted on my chair throughout dinner. That was a little annoying and could be limiting for those with mobility or balance issues. The employees I interacted with were all very polite and provided great service. The wedding was beautiful and I think this is a unique venue that's perfect for a smaller wedding or party.
