Where to Stay in Hanoi?

"A sleek, contemporary‑and‑futuristic stay that goes beyond the conventional hotel, this property serves as a testament to Hanoi’s modernity, offering views of the National Convention Center rather than the Old Quarter. There’s still a touch of colonial charm, and the overall polish mirrors chic establishments in cities like Singapore and Shanghai. The spa and fitness centre are exceptionally well‑appointed, featuring a breathtaking indoor pool, while dining ranges from Japanese and Cantonese cuisine to the vibrant Cool Cats Jazz Club. With a lively atmosphere and contemporary‑classic leanings, it’s an excellent choice for couples and honeymooners seeking a romantic getaway, and it also caters strongly to business travellers thanks to its location within business districts, high‑speed internet access, comprehensive business facilities, and luxury amenities that balance relaxation with productivity." - Pruepat 'Maprang' Songtieng

"Gallic Flair at French Grill Although the new JW Marriott Hotel is slightly inconveniently located in a new business district a long way from the centre of Hanoi , it is is worth making the trip there for this fancy restaurant alone. As the name suggests, there's an emphasis on French methods here. However, there's nothing fiddly about the stunning steaks and seafood morsels grilled by the expert chefs."

JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi (Hanoi, Vietnam) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi is, among other things, a symbol of the Vietnamese capital’s aspirations as an ultra-modern, cosmopolitan city. It’s a contemporary, even somewhat futuristic structure, overlooking not the Old Quarter but the National Convention Center. And if there are echoes of colonial style in its interiors, they’re faint ones — it’s reminiscent instead of the modern luxury hotels of other East Asian capitals, from Singapore to Shanghai. An expansive spa and fitness center includes a remarkable indoor pool, and among its bars and restaurants are Japanese and Cantonese options." - Tablet Hotels

Amazing hotel!! |+ Lovely ambience, very lux feel, |+ large/roomy feel throughout the hotel, grand lobby, huge rooms|+ Executive lounge is impressive.....huge selection of food at breakfast, high tea and evening hors d'oeuvres, which in reality has large enough selection for passing along as dinner. We are vegetarians of Indian origin and had Indian selections at both breakfast and at dinner in the lounge|+ Service is amazing. Everyone is always so willing to help and so polite. Hospitality is a culture here......special shout out to Simon (SY) in the lounge. He always has a smile on his face and is very willing to go above and beyond to help. |- Location is a bit far from Old town but the hotel runs a complimentary one way shuttle to the town at 9, 1, 6 so that helps a bit. Taxi/Rideshare is super cheap but it does take a bit away. That said if I were to do this again I would stay here as we would never find this quality hotel in the Old town area.

I stayed at JW Marriott Hanoi for a 3D2N business trip and had a truly enjoyable experience. The hotel is modern, spacious, and beautifully designed. During my stay, the hotel was hosting a Christmas Village event, which added a festive and charming atmosphere. The decorations, music, and overall setup created a warm holiday vibe — a pleasant surprise during a business trip. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, and the service throughout the stay was excellent. Staff members were attentive, professional, and always ready to help. The hotel’s facilities and ambience make it a great choice for both business and leisure. Overall, a delightful stay and I would happily return on my next visit to Hanoi.

I recently visited the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi for an event, and even though I didn’t stay overnight or see the rooms myself, everything I read and observed confirmed that the hotel is truly luxurious. The property is large, clean, and beautifully maintained, with a very high level of service. There are several dining options on site, including a Japanese restaurant, a French restaurant, a buffet, and (from what I noticed) a cafeteria as well. The hotel is located within a spacious park area, surrounded by beautiful greenery, a lovely lake, and well-kept walking areas. The atmosphere feels peaceful and upscale at the same time. Overall, I was very impressed, and if I have the opportunity in the future, I would definitely choose to stay there.

Staying at JW Marriott Hanoi feels almost like stepping onto a different island every time you return.. calm, secluded, and refreshingly different from the bustle of the city. The stay was superb. While the rooms show a little wear and tear, they are still very comfortable, with spacious bathrooms and a great views overlooking the lake. In terms of amenities, the pool is a highlight with a proper 25m indoor rooftop lap pool and the gym being open 24 hours is a big plus for flexibility. Breakfast was lavish with a wide array of choices, even including avocado juice, which was a nice touch. During my stay, there was a Christmas party at the hotel. The vibe was so festive, almost like a European city Christmas market. It would’ve been nice if there was more effort to include or welcome staying guests to the event. Overall, a solid and memorable experience.

This property is particularly impressive - large, modern interior and rooms. It features an indoor pool, multiple bars and restaurants, a casino, spa and separate sauna, jacuzzi and steam rooms. It was a perfect retreat during the rainy weather. My Titanium Mariott Bonvoy membership was recognised and I was treated to a suite upgrade plus, late checkout and access to the lounge which includes afternoon tea plus drinks service. The only cons in my opinion were: the walk to the rooms located at the end of the hall is long, the food served during afternoon tea and dinner in the lounge is not as good as I’d expect and the location is far from the main tourist attractions but is close to Korea town and business centres.

What an enjoyable stay! I chose this hotel on my way through Hanoi at the end of the trip, and it was a perfect choice. After a string of smaller local hotels, the exceptional comfort and quality of the JW was a perfect reset. I was upgraded to a suite, which was far more than I needed, since I spent most of the time lounging in the superbly luxurious bed. The food options were very good as well, with local dishes done authentically and the breakfast buffet a perfect example of the unbeatable asian-region JW quality. Service was personal and professional, and the executive lounge had a decent tea and happy hour. Would absolutely stay again.

It's probably the only hotel I stayed all my years of business travel that I have only praise and appreciation for the room, the service and the food provided by this spectacular JW Marriott in Hanoi. The look of the building is simply majestic and futuristic. The view from the executive lounge is breathtaking. The service at the breakfast hall is more than just treating the customers as family. The spaciousness of the hall and variety of food makes one feel so pampered. Worth every penny spent here.
