Super comfortable stay, everything is perfectly distanced within the property regarding spa, casino, pool. The zen walk was being remodeled/in construction- this seems like a great place for a conference, family trip, pool day.||Steve at the front desk was super helpful and nice, Brett at the valet (tower with spa casino) was super helpful. Both went out of their way to make my arrival and stay amazing! Thank you!!||Rooms are spacious and clean,I love the alarm clock with phone charging pad and the speaker in the bathroom.

It's been awhile since I've been here, and the hotel has been refreshed and updated with modern technology. The aesthetics of the hotel are great, and this is a calm, off the strip hotel/resort that is minutes away from downtown. There are restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores nearby and you're right off the freeway with easy access to downtown if you'd like. |The staff here really made our visit the best! Everyone, from the valet to your pool staff were so pleasant and friendly. I do want to acknowledge Jessica, who took the time to ensure that our group was in the same tower, same floor. Jessica worked on this for each family! I appreciated her so much for taking the time to do so. Jena G. and Nicole F. were so gracious and flexible with our group and made sure every family in our group was well taken care of and we were able to book so easily. |I highly recommend the JW Marriott in Summerlin, if - you appreciate top-notch customer service & friendly staff, you want to stay off the strip (but close enough to downtown, you want to play golf (they have a golf course), you love a good sized relaxing pool, you'd like to stop by the spa or barber, you need Starbucks daily, you like a variety of reasonably priced cafe/buffet options or a nice sit down dinner AND you feel like you're valued as a guest.|Feel free to ask me any questions. This is my sixth stay here and I just keep coming back.

Very nice stay, though not your typical Marriott Resort. Rooms are spacious, which is a plus! The pool was great from 10-11:30ish, a little disappointed it was only open from 10-7. The food we had was average. All employees were professional & always willing to help. Loved the landscaping & views. Enjoyed being off the strip, yet close enough to hop over for some fun.

Google
Solid place to stay if you want to be closer to the edge of town and away from the chaos. The rooms are very spacious, so nice and seem to be freshly renovated. Housekeeping is awesome, great team and friendly too. Overall, however, the place is pretty pricey for what you get but the name is under license from Marriott (not Marriott managed or owned). The pool is absolutely slammed by people that aren’t staying there, no seating preference for paying guests so get there early to secure your spot. The gym is weird but decent…young children sometimes running around unattended, missing weights, and odd “men” wearing no shirts. The funny part about the gym is there is no method to sanitize anything…see my video. There’s a sign that tells you to clean down after use, but the sanitizer has been removed from the wall. Instead you get a package of dry paper towels to absorb your sweat - hilarious. For the record, in case you forget something and need to have Amazon drop off a package…that’s a $10 mail fee per parcel added to your bill (not included in the daily resort fee). Good thing we had a deal to stay here. Never pay asking price for this franchised/licensed Marriott.

THE GOOD: The resort was beautiful and it was close to the strip. They gave us a cool discount coupon book that had some freebies and discounts for the resort, like 2 free well drink coupons, free 2 hour bike rentals, and a free round of putting golf. THE BAD: Despite it being memorial weekend with sold out rooms, they only had 1 working elevator. This caused the guests to have to wait long periods during "rush" times as there was only one working elevator and it would stop on every floor. The bikes for rent had broken seats, and it took them over 1 hour to get maintenance down to fix the issue. After they "fixed" it, the seats were still broken/ moving around and it was a hazard. Our room had a cool jacuzzi inside the bathroom. It worked wonderfully once-- when we tried using it again after the failed bike ride, the jacuzzi stream/ bubbles feature just stopped working. Lol. Normally I wouldn't bother writing a review if this were just a normal $100-300/ night hotel. This resort was over $480/ night. So i expected much better. Do better next time please!

Google
The rooms were absolutely lovely. The bathrooms were large and clean. It is the rest of the resort that leaves a lot to be desired. If you go, rent a car. Ubering is too expensive since it is so far out. And they do not offer a shuttle service. Restaurant food was not good. The only bright spot was Lucy the Server in Earl Grey. $6 for a soda is ridiculous. 3.5 mile round trip walk to a store. For those of us who went for a conference you feel very much stuck, which is probably what they want. But it is not an enjoyable experience. Conference food was terrible.||The casino may be run by another company and not Marriott but a $5 free play credit is laughable. I played for days and lost for days and did not earn anything more than $2. Other casinos around the country offer free food for playing, as well as additional free play. I would never recommend going to this casino if gambling is important to you. I definitely played enough to get a free lunch. ||The casino waitresses avoid eye contact and do not want to offer anything to drink. I was not offered a drink the entire time I was there. One night I stayed at the same machine for three hours. Not one drink. I'm not pushing a button for service. Service should be offered, not requested. The clientele is definitely old school so offer up a drink or a water.

I have been going to this hotel for over 20 years. Well, I must admit that the employees are wonderful. I do have some concerns. It seems to be a plumbing problem at the hotel. I had to wait 17 minutes every day to get hot water. When I went to the front desk, a woman said oh well that’s the desert. With all the water problems in Las Vegas it seems to be an awful waste of water to leave it on all that time before I can get a hot shower.||Secondly. The hotel was said to have undergone a major renovation. Unfortunately, and I’m here now, the spa is closed and the Italian restaurant is closed and it appears that Chinese restaurant is on a renovation too. I would’ve never come if I had known all this renovation was going on when I made my reservation, I haven’t been able to make a spa appointment as they have limited evening and weekends available. I only wish they would advertise. The hotel was under construction because clearly the renovation is not complete. ||Let’s talk about the grounds. The thing that attracted me to this hotel 20+ years ago was the beautiful nature and wildlife at the hotel every day you will see someone planting flowers, trimming the palm trees, and cleaning the water with the Koi pond they have this completely go. They no longer mulch and all you see is pipes everywhere. They don’t seem to take care of any other bushes trimming them, etc. They have two outside swings that have been the same since I’ve come here 20 years ago. They need to put some money on maintaining the property.||And lastly, the pool area is a disaster. They’ve had the same cushions on the lounge chairs for at least 10 years. Prior to the blue they were orange. They are nasty dirty with animal poop on them. They used to rent out umbrellas, but they tell me they all broke. I believe I counted only 12 umbrellas around a very large pool. With the strong desert sun, they definitely need to have more umbrellas available. ||I’m staying here now at the hotel and I hate to say it, but it might be my last visit. There are newer better hotels in the area now. Hate to give this awful review. It’s a reality.

Google
Beautiful hotel/resort outside of the hustle bustle metro area. Clean and fresh w/ no lingering aromatic odors. Service was outstanding.. didn't feel rushed in the mornings at all. One glitch we had was we decided to rent a car as we found out the hotel does NOT offer shuttle service anymore..which was contrary to what was told to us when we made phone reservations. Anyway with the distance from the hotel to downtown I would highly recommend a car rental, it's well worth it.we rented from fox. So far so good...love the courtesy valet parking and extra discount tokens the resort offers.. The sites are wonderful w/ the mountains in the background, golf course across the road. It can be $$, but we scored a deal at just over $200/night, so look for that type of deal 1st.. either way you won't be disappointed with your stay here. Thanks for reading. Mark C.

Yelp
This is a difficult spot to review because the overall property is beautiful. It's huge. Has tons of amenities. Is walking distance to a great upscale shopping center with wonderful restaurants. However, the rooms have not been updated since the place was built. They are clean. Functional. Nice. But not up to JE Marriott standards in my opinion. I was upgraded when I checked in to a two-bedroom suite, which was wonderful, but wasted on me traveling by myself for work and for only one night. Everything looks dated. See the pics. Staff was friendly. Common areas chill and well maintained. Self parking was a long walk, but you could valet and I didn't expect anything else at a large resort. I would stay again but would temper my expectations and would look for a good rate until they remodel the rooms.

Yelp
Stayed here for 5 nights in December. Location is great and staff was friendly. As a Platinum Elite, I did get upgraded to a larger room which was very kind and made for a comfortable stay since I was working during the day and room had a separate table which I used for working. The bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Shower pressure was good. This hotel is connected to the Rampart Casino. As part of the daily resort fee, you get $10 free slot play per night of stay which was a fun treat. As a Platinum Elite, you can also opt in for the free breakfast over points which I highly recommend. The breakfast is located at The Earl Grey Cafe which is a diner in the Rampart Casino. You get a beverage, entree and side item from a special menu. Lots of choices and everything I tried was good, notably the BLTA...at the very least you should make sure you get the bacon! :)

Yelp
I can't say enough good thing about Jamie and Lyn and team at the JW. First class service all the way! Such attention to detail. Thanks for everything to make our event a success!

Yelp
Thanks to one of my good friend he got my other 2 friends and myself 5 free night at the JW Marriott resort located in Summerlin. 10 mins from the strip and about 15mins from downtown . Small casino although very convenient to Red Rock canyon and Traders Joes also nearby Red Rock casino . Nice swimming pool with a waterfall also a wonderful spa located in the lobby of hotel . Several restaurants as well a Steakhouse, coffee shop , buffet, Starbucks and Chinese and a deli shop . If your in the area I highly recommend to check them out because it's not as crowded compared to the Strip hotels . Thanks to my friend I would never be able to afford this property because it's a JW Marriott property one of Marriott high end hotels

Yelp
The JW is a great alternative from staying on the Strip. It's quiet, peaceful, classy, and offers guests a resort stay that actually is a resort and has a casino. The staff were awesome. Everyone from Valet to Front Desk were courteous and helpful. My room was gigantic. I had a balcony with a view, a bathroom with dual vanities, jetted tub, rainforest shower, and of course a toilet with a hand-held phone on the wall. We ate at the Earl Grey restaurant and did mobile orders with the Starbucks located at the JW So, here's the deal. If you enter in the Spa Tower, you may not be in the Spa Tower. It's important to note that there two towers with the casino, restaurants, ans shops in between. The other tower is the Palms Tower. They have a separate Valet and entrance. Knowing which tower you'll be in first will help you after your stay if at all possible. A couple more notes. The JW is about 30 dollars Lyft / Uber from the Strip one way. There is a Whole Foods and shopping including a Target with Liquor within 5-10 mins. If you stay at the JW, and if you don't have a car, you'll be on the property which may suit so guests but if you have an itch to be on the Strip, you'll need to figure out how to get there and back due to the distance. I would stay at the JW without hesitation as it is an oasis in the desert.

Yelp
One of the more beautiful JW Marriott's you will find in the country. This is truly a resort with some of the most beautifully manicured grounds you will find. A lot of winding walking paths amongst waterfalls, ponds, a huge swimming pool complex, hot tubs, wedding venues and more. They keep the grounds pretty pristine. The one problem with the ponds and waterfalls is that it attracts geese which lead to the geese "relieving" themselves in some areas you must then maintain. The geese actually pooped in the pool which lead to the young lifeguards simply not reacting! The guests were complaining which lead to the round lifeguards not reacting! The guests actually stepped barefoot in the geese pool on the pool sidewalks which lead to the lifeguards not reacting! Approximately thirty minutes later a person from housekeeping came by to clean the sidewalk! Other than a lack of protocols, the resort is gorgeous!

Yelp
Expected More, Received Less. This is definitely not the JW Marriott experience that I'm accustomed to. Dated building, freezing cold throughout, way too far away from The Strip for what you get. I've been traveling to Vegas weekly, so I knew how far away I'd be, but in return for traveling to The Strip I assumed this resort would have similar amenities and experiences as the JW is Scottsdale. Not exactly. I appreciated the opportunity to use Bonvoy points, but in retrospect would've used them for a Springhill Suites closer to The Strip. Average resort, at best.

Yelp
5 Stars are for the looks and customer service! The customer service is amazing here- everyone is so helpful, friendly and accommodating. It is a great hotel if you wana get away to somewhere tropical in the middle of the desert. You must do the Zen walk! What makes it 3 stars? Quality of food for room service, hardness of the beds, out dated decor. The rooms need to be given some extra love. I ordered room service twice- I love room service when I travel! Both times not great, items missing, guac was spoiled, flavor was okay. This hotel is a solid place to stay.. you won't be blown away but you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last 15 years. At one time, this was a really nice place to stay. Not anymore. Today, this hotel is an abysmal shell of what it once was. The beds were horribly uncomfortable. The room was dusty (My nose plugged up and I began sneezing within a hour of entering the room). Room service is delivered in paper bags. The fountain near the lobby has been turned off. Want a cart to help you carry your bags up to your rooms? Too bad. Those are only for staff. Much of the close-up parking is reserved for the valet. Even though most of that area is completely empty, you have to park much further away. They really seem to want you to park in the structure, which requires you to walk through the casino (which reeks of cigarettes). The doors to the rooms are not sealed, and so you can hear everything that happens in the hallway (including the guy talking on his phone outside your room at 3:30 a.m.). Never again.

Yelp
Love it here, especially after the renovation. I have been coming to this spa for many years, and always experienced excellent customer service. I have had great licensed massage therapists (LMT) as well. Even the gym of the spa is amazing & well equipped with both free & stationary weights. One of my FAVORITE part of the renovated spa is the quiet/meditation room. It is immensely serene to relax in there! Love all the amenities as well. Can't wait to return for another pampering massage in the near future.

Yelp
People rave about JW Marriott's, but I don't think they rave about this one particularly. If you're OK with an outdated hotel where you won't be in the room often, then this is hotel is OK. if you're OK with no hot water in the shower, no heater that works properly in the room, and not being able to get a late check out on a Monday, then I'm not sure it's the place for you. I regret not complaining while I was there.

Amber Z.

Yelp
I love this hotel. I travel to Las Vegas for work often and typically stay at the Westin. I much prefer this property as you can get the casino Vegas vibe if you wish, or stay away from it The pool is wonderful and gorgeous. The rooms are amazing. So large and really comfortable. The bathroom is huge and nice with a large vanity and bathtub. A ton of healthy and much more affordable food at all the neighboring centers. The Asian restaurant has incredible happy hour prices!

Lori M.

Yelp
Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, and the staff were pleasant. The one bad review I would say is the pool closes at 7PM. With the heat it would have been nice to be able to cool off and swim in the evening.
google avatar

Yelp
I loved this property. Before I start, I'll say the only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it is showing it's age and could could a refresh. That being said, the property is awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurants are ample. The pool area is incredible. The rooms are spacious, nice, and luxurious. Parking is free. There's a full casino, so if gambling is your thing, they have everything you're looking for. For a Vegas resort, it is really perfect. Off strip so it isn't so crazy, but all the amenities you could be asking for.

Yelp
So I was brought up to recognize that Marriotts were generally nice hotels and the JW Marriotts were the most luxurious of the Marriott brand. I think this particular JW Marriott relies too much on, It's beautiful grounds and pool. Let's start with the positive, absolutely beautiful grounds, beautiful pool, very nice workout room, the rooms are quite large and the Jacuzzi style bathtub is fabulous. Now, let's go with the negative's and the reason for the three stars, the bed in the room felt incredibly old and stiff. The most uncomfortable Marriott bed I have ever slept in, not to mention the awful pillows. The room needed some upkeep love. Next up the complete failure to resolve a simple problem we had with our room. We had already completely unpacked everything and noticed that the bedskirt had a disgusting stain on it that in my mind, use your imagination based off of the photo, was absolutely unacceptable so we kindly asked just to have the bedskirt switched. We patiently waited, five hours in which we went back-and-forth asking if they were going to switch it for us or not. They came to " clean" the bed skirt while we had left the room and when I came back nothing had been cleaned it had been simply stuffed under so you could see less of it. Finally, we had had enough ripped off the bedskirt ourselves and brought it to the front desk, hoping that would generate a solution. Nope no solution no replacement. We just got barraged for the next few days about switching rooms , which there was nothing wrong with the room. It was just a nasty bed skirt and we had obviously settled in by then. As a luxury hotel brand that JW Marriott Markets itself as, a problem like that, should've been resolved real quickly without completely hassling, and inconveniencing the guest the way a roadside motel would. I understand, maintaining a hotel this large is difficult, but they certainly can give it a little more effort.

Yelp
I've had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in Las Vegas for my fifth visit, and I must say, the level of customer service here surpasses any other hotel or resort I've experienced. Faith (pictured on the right), my front desk associate, despite being a trainee, provided such exceptional service that it exceeded many seasoned professionals in the hospitality industry. I can't emphasize enough how genuinely friendly and accommodating Jordan (pictured on the left) and Aulani (pictured in the middle) were when I needed assistance at the front desk. Their warmth and professionalism truly made my stay memorable. If only I could package their customer service and sell it... I'd be a millionaire! Who needs to gamble with great people like this! Faith, keep that beautiful and wonderful smile!

Yelp
Stayed here for a wedding (which was also partially onsite). The venue is clean and well kept. The rooms are comfortable, and the fixtures are in the best shape of any I've seen in Clark County. I'm never staying on the strip again after this.

Yelp
We love JW Marriott! This property is beautiful felt like we were away from the city. So peaceful with flowing waters, koi ponds, and waterfalls. Parking is free. Room was incredibly enormous with a walk in closet, full hot tub, standing shower, and two sinks. We have never had a huge room like it before. Kids literally could run around. You can hear the flowing waters when windows are open. Soothing sounds to your ears. Pool area was awesome with a waterfall where you can just sit right behind it. There's a casino on property so it was convenient for adults to gamble. No need to drive anywhere. It's amazing place so don't hesitate to book this for your next getaway.

Yelp
One star is too much! Worst customer service I've ever experienced!! The grounds are very nice and the room I stayed in was OK. The room was old and needs remodeling, the sofa was stained and something was left in the tub jets that caused an allergic reaction. Of course I complained because I suffered for a month dealing with skin condition. I had to cancel a cruise, I missed a business conference and I had to deal with painful itchy burning skin all over my face, legs, back - IT WAS AWFUL. I submitted a complaint and all they gave me was a denial letter. Not even an apology for what I went through. Never ever staying at any JW Marriot.

Yelp
Our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and wedding reception were at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa, and their Events team was outstanding! They were so helpful throughout every step of the planning process! Our guests really enjoyed staying at the hotel, and the food and drink options were exceptional at each event. They go out of their way to ensure their events are a success! The property is beautiful and truly a special place for weddings and other events!

Yelp
I had tried the Spa before right after it reopened and it was awful and had a sewage smell coming from the bathroom area. I complained about the sewage smell and being locals they offered us a day pass to return at a later date. We did on Oct 23, 2023. The smell was fine, not "good" like I expect a spa to be, but not bad either. We enjoyed the day and left with a much better impression that we had last time...until I got home. One of the pools was clearly over chlorinated. This is not the first time I've been in a pool in this swim suit...it is the first time I've ever had the color mess up in a pool. One of my friends said her's was messed up too.

Yelp
This hotel might be "dated" to some because of its older decor, and is on the outskirts of the city, but honestly it's a much better deal and experience than many places on the Strip. Seems like it'd be great for a family reunion or wedding, as several of the buildings aren't open to the public. Ample free parking, wide casino floors with large walkways for minimal crowding, plenty of restaurants to choose from, and a gigantic pool that has its own bar and a waterfall. The grounds are definitely the coolest part of this place, including several water features (with plenty of cute bridges/seating for photogenic moments) and outdoor activities such as bocce ball. The rooms themselves are very spacious (if sparsely decorated), and you get a fridge and bath robes. However the water pressure isn't great, so it's difficult to wash soap off with the soft water. But that's a common problem here so I didn't take it personally. The giant jacuzzi tub with jets was a plus as well. Very basic room service offerings (the mashed potatoes I got with my entree were definitely instant), but they are open until 11pm which is nice. If you're a Vegas local looking for a quiet relaxing "staycation", this is a decent place.

Yelp
Stayed here recently for a weekend wedding being held here. Location is roughly 30 mins south of the Strip. Property is huge with a variety of restaurant cuisines along with an adult spa as well as a separate large pool for families. They also have a salon, a barber shop for men and a decent size casino. Our room was nice and large along with the bathroom which had his and her sinks, a separate soak and jacuzzi tub and a rain shower. Overall the property could use a refresh for the Back of the House but it's not a deal breaker considering we only paid $209 a nite not including tax and resort fees.

Yelp
Old hotel , pool is not good for adults poor ambulances, buffet is just ok. For money you pay much better stay in strip . Not recommending

Yelp
Wow !! This place is amazing!!!recommended by my daughter who's stayed there before, from the initial valet parking, registration, my second valet on the palm tower my bell boy, Concierge, was Amazing The Rooms were amazing!!! The pool staff was a bit understaffed and slow:( I had to go to the bar to get my own drinks and food On another day My lunch took over 1:30 hrs To arrive. But when a guest was down ( on that same day) Everyone was prompt to respond. Including me as a Nurse, then I had to wait a long time to sign My bill off, no comps but I had to write up a report For helping out. Overall it Was a great Experience!! Oh the waterfall in the pool were not on Was disappointed, was soooo looking forward to that since I love waterfalls.

Yelp
This review is for POOL. we rented out a cabana to celebrate a friend. In comparison to other cabana rental prices at other hotels.. the JW Marriott cabana prices are one of the cheapest you can find, and as I quickly found out, there is a reason for that. Saving grace of our experience is how thoughtful Emily was and how easy she made hooking the cabana. The price on a Sunday was $365, and this price is for cabana only, drink and food purchases are separate. No locals discount, however they offer a military discount. Upon arrival, the cabana quite frankly- looked a mess. The cabana included a table with four chairs, two lounge chairs, and a cabana with a tv stand, fridge, small seating area. The floor had leaves all over, the lounge chairs looked sat in and dirty (see pics). The TV stand was dusty, had sunblock (what I'm guessing) marks, and it also came w a little friend in between the TV stands.. which I believe speak to the lack of cleanliness in caring for their cabana. The pool otherwise was great and very family friendly! I would say go to the pool, skip investing in a dirty cabana

Yelp
We had a great stay at the JW. It allows you to enjoy Vegas but have some peace and quiet as well. The hotel may be slightly dated, but everything is comfortable. The Earl Grey restaurant for breakfast worked out very well. The buffet I didn't care too much for, but was fine. We visited bingo once during the stay, that was fun. You get a drink with your buy in, I didn't realize you had to order fairly immediately. The spa was pretty good we had two services during our stay. The hydra pool was quite nice. Much warmer than the hotel pool. The excellent part of the stay was Trae at the palm tower check in desk. He was fantastic. Got us checked in, made sure we had what we needed for the daily resort fee, and our titanium benefits. He was friendly and helpful, but towards the end of our stay we had to leave quickly due to an emergency and he took care of us. We felt like we knew everything the resort offered after checking in with him. We would definitely visit again.

Yelp
Place is nice. Room was big and comfy but a little dirty. The bathroom was big and gorgeous but had a lot of stains which were very obvious. There is a starbucks in the casinos which is nice. The drinks are not so great and staff at the bars were not always the most pleasant. The buffet is good.

Yelp
I called from the airport to inquire if a shuttle existed. She said no longer and gave great advice in Uber versus a cab. Uber is cheaper! Pros -Big full length mirror -Big room -Big bathroom -Lighted makeup mirror -Flattering lighting in the bathroom -Friendly check in -Everyone seemed happy -HUGE TV in the room -You could open French doors and air out the room -Concierge Claudia in the Palm Tower was very good. I asked a question and by the time I got to my room, my phone was ringing; she had the answer. -Good sized gym- two bikes, one regular one recumbent. TVs, ellipticals and plenty of circuit machines. Balls, kettle bells, foam roller- they thought of everything! -Very zen atmosphere. Outdoor spaces to relax. Loved the zen walk. -Lots of maids carts in the hallway in the morning; easy to get towel replacements. -Housekeeping super friendly. Cons -There was a mini fake balcony- would have been nice to fit a chair there. -Still doing covid no housekeeping everyday unless you request 24 hours in advance. -Spa under renovation. No steam-room. -Outdoor pool under renovation. -Gift shop wasn't always open. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This hotel is interesting. That's one way to put it. We stayed here during a business trip since they could accommodate our rather large group, as well as provide us with conference room space for our daily activities. The main lobby is tucked away and when you check-in the front desk provides you with a map (that's how large this place is!). Then you schlep your luggage through the casino floor to the tower they put you in (ours was the Palm tower) and you notice there is another lobby there as well, albeit a bit smaller. The room I was given was huge with two beds, a jacuzzi tub, a walk-in closet, and a balcony you could sit on (table was provided). Way too large for one person but I suppose it's better than being too small. The bathroom fixtures were old and rusted but they worked and did what they needed to do. They could definitely use an update. The bed was comfy as all Marriott beds are. The balcony was bare bones but would have been nice to use on a warm night (it was only 44 at night when we visited). The walk-in closet was completely unnecessary and I never used it. The casino downstairs does have a non-smoking section and the ventilation in the smoking section wasn't terrible so that was good at least. The elevators to the rooms do not require a key card and that made me a bit uneasy since anyone can enter the casino, go down to the elevators, and start checking out hallways for people's rooms. One major pain point for all of us was the lack of dining options. Only the Earl Grey Cafe is open 24 hours and it's a sit down type of spot, not grab and go to your room. The other dining options had odd hours, including the buffet. The clubhouse deli provided us with undercooked chicken during one of our daily excursions. It's also impossible to find a place to grab water or snacks unless clubhouse is open, which is not very often. Considering Vegas is also known for food we were left disappointed by the lack of food options here. There is one small store that claims they sell sundries but the fridges were broken and there was barely anything to choose from, also odd hours here much like the rest of this resort. Regardless of all that it is close to Red Rocks and some other hiking if that's more your speed. It's about 20 minutes from the strip so a cheap Uber ride got us there and back plenty of times. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The rooms themselves just need serious updates and the food options need to be improved, as well. The only in-room dining option was for Starbucks and that only runs from 7-11AM daily. Makes zero sense. If you're okay with just a decent casino and huge rooms but don't care about food you'll like it here.

Yelp
I stayed at this JW Marriott over MLK Weekend 2022 and it did not disappoint... This was the hotel that our soccer team selected for our group to stay at during the big Vegas Cup tournament that happens annually. We purposely decided not to stay on the strip and despite a bit of a drive to get to the fields, the location was convenient to a wide variety of restaurants and activities. The rooms were clean and spacious, had comfortable beds and nice bathroom amenities. The hotel also offers some green space that we took advantage of and a handful of restaurants on property too. The staff at the hotel and the restaurants were attentive and friendly, which isn't always the case, especially with the staffing shortage due to the pandemic. They are still enforcing the masks indoors, which we appreciated. Our room was in the spa tower, which worked out quite well. We ate at Jade the first night and at the buffet for breakfast one morning. We also took advantage of the Starbucks onsite, some takeout from the Earl Grey Cafe. I somehow got in a ladies night with my fellow soccer mom friends and had a nice meal at the upscale Hawthorne Grill on one of the nights too. The ambiance was better than the food there, but I won't complain. Aside from the green space, there isn't a ton for kids to do on property, but that worked out for us since we were in and out with our busy soccer tournament schedule anyways. I utilized the gym for some quick workouts, which I was grateful for... The spa was under construction when we were there and we didn't gamble despite the onsite casino. As with most Vegas venues, there is smoking inside, which is pretty gross, but it could have been worse. I would definitely return if seeking a decent hotel off the Vegas strip!

Yelp
Had our Semi-Annual Sales meeting held here. I read the reviews prior to staying here and the reviews seemed pretty solid. Upon arriving and checking in, the guy was very friendly. They were also very accommodating. I had a package re-routed here since I wouldn't be home when it arrived. They had it ready for me upon check-in. The resort itself wreaked of cigarettes. Non smoking or note. The rooms were... eh. It needed a refresh. Carpets were dilapidated and dirty. Overall though, room seemed clean. The resort boasts of their amenities but when we went to check out the pool and spa when we got there, they were closed for repairs. Unlike some resorts I've stayed at in Vegas, this one actually had a casino. Probably explains the overpowering smell cigarettes. On a convention outlook, this place was great. The convention side was nice. The rooms were neatly organized and snacks and drinks were available all day. Food was decent. Not bad. Would I stay here again? Probably not. If I had to for business? Yes. Plenty of other better resorts in Vegas that I would go back to in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The hotel was beautiful and the location was perfect. Downtown is a short drive away. The staff was friendly and helpful. I got great recommendations from the concierge for restaurants and things to do before we came and they were all perfect. The rooms are nice and the grounds were well kept. Will stay here again when visiting Vegas. Shout out to the valet staff for being super friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Do NOT stay here! Rooms are filthy!!!! Stool all over the toilet seat! Dirty sheet with hair and stains! Cleaning people said " Yeah the day crew hasn't been cleaning that well"! This is disgusting!

Yelp
The amazing staff is what really makes this place great. Every staff member we interreacted with ( from valet to waitress) were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Our room was clean and didn't have any weird smells. We attended a wedding and stayed here for three days with no issues. Our friends room did have issues with the hot water but a quick call to the front desk and someone was there right away to fix it.

Yelp
Let's start with positives for this resort which is the staff, primarily the valets and housekeeping plus the location which is right outside of the red rocks and an easy drive into the strip if that's important to you! Sumerlin is a nice area with good food outside of the resort as well. Parking is easy and included in the resort fee paid on check in. I was in town for a wedding at this hotel, I am a Marriott gold member and usually am offered some perks at check in. Was told there was nothing to offer, but what I didn't realize is I'd be given a room with no hot water in the shower, and a dungeon darkroom. This was "fixed" but never worked during our three night stay. Was told the hotel was full but saw multiple open rooms Pool was clean! Chairs we're not and many we're falling apart, waterfall pictured was not running. Was a chill vibe and kind staff as well. There is a casino and golf course which I can't speak to but they are there! This hotel is a decent price, therefore do a small amount of homework and you can find something FAR better I'm certain as I've stayed multiple places on and off the strip over the years. Ps I got double charged for the room and fees that I've called twice already to get removed.

Yelp
Two (2) night intentional disaster stay by marriott in this terribly outdated, could care less property, completely void of bare basics with poorest service across any brand. Property does not disclose or inform guests of pool closure, two days of 'fire alarm upgrades' aka fire alarms continuously set off morning afternoon and night, enhanced without a single working business center, computer, fax, printer or internet. I can only thank the hotel staff for bouncing guests from Palm Tower to Spa Tower back & forth for no reason with absolutely nothing working. I have 100 choices of resorts to stay that have operational amenities, open pools, working business centers with elevated service. This dishonest motel6 communicates ZERO to guests because people would NEVER stay here, no mention of pool closures on website or at check in or inside the room. No disclosure of fire alarms being intentionally set to go off for 2 days, dirty showers filled with mold, broken balcony door, ooey-gooey sticky sofas, absent maid service, room left with soiled towels and glasses, ty. Miesha is the RUDEST least hospitable, yet offensive person. A Hyundai pushing high school attitude bursting with bad manners and aggression blaming the limitless downfalls of the property on 'marketing'...really!?! College 101, but wait...How You Leave Others Feeling After Having An Experience With You Becomes Your Trademark. Bye!

Yelp
A great place to stay when you want to avoid the strip at all cost. I stayed at the JW while on a business trip and I was really impressed with both the resort and the city of Summerlin. There were times it felt more like I was staying in Palm Desert or Scottsdale than in Las Vegas. Rooms were great, mine had a jacuzzi tub even though it wasn't a suite. The comforter they provided was very comfortable. The bathroom lights even had a beauty light which I guess women need for makeup and grooming.. It kinda makes your reflection appear in high definition. That could be either good or bad heh heh.... Unfortunately like most Las Vegas built hotels they all have poorly framed doors. Meaning the room doors have big gaps which means a lot of hallway noise (specifically people slamming their room doors closed). Fortunately the nature of this resort and the age of the guests mean that the noise will stop about 10pm.. I didn't dine at the hotel but there are so many nice "locals" restaurants near by. Places like Ohlala (casual French), Al Solito Posto ( romantic Italian), and Jamon Jamon Tapas (Spanish) are all recommended. Age profile of guests - Over 30, majority over 50. Not the resort for kids looking to party.. Casino and sports book - Small, but it was relatively smoke free. Pretty convienient seeing it's inside the resort. Gripe - My biggest gripe was the AC and fan would turn off after a few minutes of non-motion in the room. So it would turn off while you were trying sleep. I like the white noise of a fan while traveling and it did get warm in the room when the AC would turn off. Dropping the temp in the room to a crazy low number seemed to trick the system for a while. Tips - Uber and lyft are about $25 to $35 to the strip each way.. Remember that there's little to no free parking along the strip. Be sure to check both services for the best price. They can vary dramatically for the exact same pickup.

Yelp
We went to Vegas to see U2 at the Sphere. Didn't want to stay on the strip and wanted a spa experience. Can't say much about casino because we only walked through. The spa was amazing and worth the 20min trip to the Strip in my opinion. I took advantage of the entire spa for the morning. It was clean and inviting and super relaxing. My male massage therapist was professional, sensitive and responsive to my requests as a female guest. I'm so happy we booked here. Definitely a great representation of the Marriott luxury brand.

Yelp
We were lucky enough to be invited to stay with friends for a mini-vacation. The casino is smaller than most and we like it that way. We enjoy the Bingo games as well. The suites are amazing! Now that we've stayed at the smaller and the larger suites here, we feel spoiled and don't want to stay elsewhere. If you're looking for a hotel & casino away from the strip, I highly recommend the JW Rampart Hotel.

Yelp
Week stay for a recent conference. This property is really nice. There is a casino by one of the room towers. If you request the Palms tower it's off the beaten path. Which for this trip was exactly what I needed. Quiet. Room was large with a mini fridge. Would definitely stay again if wanting to stay off strip...

Yelp
Hotel is beautiful! Room is cozy and inviting. Gym space is nice and I was happy they have Peloton bikes. My gripe is the busy pool area. No lounge chairs available....they were quite a few empty with towels on them. Pool bar overpriced, spent $15 for 2 bottles of water. RIDICULOUS if you ask me. This is the worst pool I've been to in Vegas. Ended up just coming back to my room.

Yelp
Oh my gosh such a beautiful property! See you soon Now that I have received the proper information to use the pool I am very excited Thank you for having clean rest room as and a smoking area! Mahalo America

Yelp
The hotel was great and house keeping was awesome. However, the pool is a different story. First, the pool deck was littered with straws, old drinks, chewed up limes and dirty towels from the day before. I ordered fries on 10/7/2023, I noticed a wait staff walking around the pool deck looking for me then went inside the pool bar area with my food. I got out of pool and went to go get my fries. While waiting in line I over heard a blonde hair lady at the cash register laughing and telling the wait staff ( in orange shirts) " it looks like you have free fries. The wait staff, in the orange shirts, then proceeded to eat the fries. When I approached the lady I said I think those are my fries. She walked over took the fries from the staff and gave them to me. I said to her, two times, " they where eating my fries" she looks at me hands me the bowl and started helping other people. I was extremely upset, but didn't want to cause a scene. Other people where watching and by the looks on their faces, they seemed to surprised by what this lady did. I would highly recommend to bring your own food to the pool. This was extremely unprofessional and shocking.

Yelp
Long story short, this place is not up to par for a JW Marriott resort. The wear & tear and decor is acceptable for an older Courtyard or Springhill but should not be present at a JW. The staff, of course, was excellent, which is typical of any Marriott property., But they definitely need improvements elsewhere.

Yelp
On October 11th of 2022, I sustained an injury at the Hawthorn Grille located at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa. Their litigation consultant, Kristi Decker with Sedgwick CMS was assigned to my claim and was completely unprofessional. While having lunch with my two sisters and a cousin on the outside patio at the Hawthorn Grille, I was injured. I got up from a chair and the chair had a defect and nearly made me fall. I caught myself on the table and the metal chair proceeded to fall on my left knee and then slammed into my left foot. The security team came over to me and had me write a statement. He also had my two sisters write a statement. The only reason my cousin didn't write a statement is because she was using the restroom when this happened and she didn't see it. When I got in touch with La Cretia Evans (risk management) via email, I was under the impression she would call me, but I had to reach out to her instead. When she replied, she stated she forwarded my statement over to Sedgwick CMS. I received a call from Kristi Decker and I was at an appointment when she called so I was unable to call her back. She told me she would call me back on Monday, October 24th since she was planning to leave work early. I didn't receive a call so I decided to call her instead. When I called her, she was very unprofessional. I asked her what the process for everything is and she said she didn't know because she still had to investigate it. I was injured on October 11th and we didn't speak until October 24th so I thought there was plenty of time in which to conduct an investigation. When I questioned the need to still investigate considering I still have pain and swelling on my left foot, she actually hung up in my face. I then texted her asking for her supervisor's name and she ignored me. I reached back out to La Cretia Evas at the JW Marriott and she claims there was no direct number in which she had to reach a supervisor. I was shocked because how is a company like JW Marriott doing business with Sedgwick without the ability to reach an actual supervisor. She claims she submitted my request to Sedgwick for a call back from a supervisor and til this day, nobody has called me. I texted Kristi Decker again on October 27th and she finally replied after hanging up on me Monday that week. She stated her supervisor was out of the office, but stated when you return Monday I can call her supervisor Jessica Jenkins. I work full time and happen to be a full time college student as well. I haven't had the time to call you prior to this week. I called and left a voicemail at phone number 501-251-2010 which is the number Kristi gave and I haven't heard back yet. I received a letter dated November 3rd from Kristi stating "we concluded our investigation of your claim for injuries resulting from a fall from a chair on October 11, 2022, and determined that our insured is not liable for this incident. Therefore, we must respectfully deny your claim at this time." I want to appeal this false investigation because nobody investigated anything. The patio was filled with chairs and there is no proof whatsoever that they investigated my actual chair and I want to appeal this. I was doing some research earlier and I was able to locate the company's documents on the Nevada Secretary of State website so that I'll know who to have served if this can't be resolved amicably outside of court litigation. Kristi failed to get a full statement from me nor did she keep our interaction professional the few minutes I did speak to her on October 24th. There was absolutely no reason for her level of unprofessionalism and I can't tolerate it. Until this day, my foot is still swollen and giving me a great deal of discomfort and I am not going to accept this letter as a tool to tell me in essence sorry about your luck, but it's not our problem. I have known how to get out of chairs all my life and October 11th was no different. My sisters can attest to the fact that the chair was defective and that the injury I sustained was caused by the chair. I'm prepared to email the executive team at JW Marriott/ Hotspur Resorts Nevada, LTD, Twin City Fire Insurance Company as well as the executive team at Sedgwick because I will not let this go until someone reevaluates the matter and makes it right. My sisters are also prepared to give notarized statements if the statements they wrote were thrown out. Kristi was never going to do the right thing and I knew right away when her tone became unprofessional and then the next clue was her hanging up in my face. I will not tolerate that type of treatment. I need this reevaluated.

Yelp
My 2nd stay at the JW Marriott in Summerlin and once again it did not disappoint. I had the pleasure of working with Diana, the hotel operator (for the last 15 years!). We were traveling with a teen and wanted a suite but they were fully booked. Diana went above and beyond multiple times to accommodate our short notice need for 2 connecting rooms with balconies. This particular property is absolutely gorgeous and a wonderful place to stay in Vegas off the strip, family friendly, super clean and safe. All of the hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. Shout to Matt Kelly, who checked us in. We appreciate you, Matt!!!! Matt told us that Diana is considered the Queen of the property and I wholeheartedly have to concur. Once we were settled in our rooms, Diana called to make sure we were happy with our accommodations, sent us up extra waters since the gist shop was closed and even sent up a toothbrush for our teen who didn't have one. The JW Marriott is fortunate to have such wonderful ambassadors representing them to the public. Thank you again, Diana. My appreciation for you has no limits. Highly recommend.
