So I was brought up to recognize that Marriotts were generally nice hotels and the JW Marriotts were the most luxurious of the Marriott brand. I think this particular JW Marriott relies too much on, It's beautiful grounds and pool. Let's start with the positive, absolutely beautiful grounds, beautiful pool, very nice workout room, the rooms are quite large and the Jacuzzi style bathtub is fabulous.
Now, let's go with the negative's and the reason for the three stars, the bed in the room felt incredibly old and stiff. The most uncomfortable Marriott bed I have ever slept in, not to mention the awful pillows. The room needed some upkeep love. Next up the complete failure to resolve a simple problem we had with our room. We had already completely unpacked everything and noticed that the bedskirt had a disgusting stain on it that in my mind, use your imagination based off of the photo, was absolutely unacceptable so we kindly asked just to have the bedskirt switched. We patiently waited, five hours in which we went back-and-forth asking if they were going to switch it for us or not. They came to " clean" the bed skirt while we had left the room and when I came back nothing had been cleaned it had been simply stuffed under so you could see less of it. Finally, we had had enough ripped off the bedskirt ourselves and brought it to the front desk, hoping that would generate a solution. Nope no solution no replacement. We just got barraged for the next few days about switching rooms , which there was nothing wrong with the room. It was just a nasty bed skirt and we had obviously settled in by then.
As a luxury hotel brand that JW Marriott Markets itself as, a problem like that, should've been resolved real quickly without completely hassling, and inconveniencing the guest the way a roadside motel would. I understand, maintaining a hotel this large is difficult, but they certainly can give it a little more effort.
