The restaurant setting is lovely with a view of the rain vortex. Service wasn’t great and it can be hard to get the waiters’ attention. We were a family of 4. They served 2 dishes and forgot about the other 2. We had to ask when we realised other tables that came after us had already been served. While the food wasn’t bad, there was nothing outstanding either. I had the Yasai Tempura with seasoned rice. They got my rice wrong and served me white rice instead. Get the seasoned rice instead of white rice as that was the best part of the meal 😂 We also tried the chicken katsu curry rice. The curry was to my liking but you can get better katsu in Sg. The Buta don was alright, found the iberico pork abit in the tough side. Overall still enjoyable but I wouldn’t be back.

Updated on March 2021 Highly recommend their Whisky Gelato(~$7). It so yummy, sweet with a sharp hint of alcohol.😋😘🤗 Soba Cha - Tea taste is strong with a light savoury feel. Matcha - Well-balanced of bitterness and sweetness. Amao Strawberry - Tarty, zing & refreshing. The ice cream were topped out with sweet potato by the way. Amao Mocha Latte($8.80)😋 Distinct coffee with chocolate that is perfectly mixed, then topped with a scoop of strawberry king ice cream which is zesty and refreshing. A tastisfying drink for an instant recharge. Matcha latte(Iced)($8.80)😋 As great as ever I had the last time I went years ago. Quite balance in the milkiness and Matcha-Ness. The bitterness and sweetness is just at the right moment. Matcha Latte(Hot)($8.80)😋 Smooth with sugar(can request without it) for the authentic taste 🍵 Taste as good as the Iced version. Comforting hot matcha drink plus it's filled to the very brim.🤗 Matcha Mont Blanc($9)🏔️ Finally, had a chance to try this. Heavy Matcha taste with thick sweet cream in the middle over a base of almond strawberry tart. Their tart still the same as what I had 1 year 8 month ago but with little improvement. Still as Hard as always.😅 At least the Mont Blanc is okay. Matcha Opera($8)🍵 Balance in Matcha taste. Creamy cake. A more "healthier" option for the health conscious. Amao Strawberry Roll Cake($4.50)🍓 Light airy roll cake with tarty frozen strawberry jam and moderate sweet cream within it. A bit underwhelming but great for those who prefer a lighter taste and strawberry. Matcha Mousse Cake($8)🍫 Looks good but isn't as great as it taste. Kinda sweet. Chocolate is too overpowering over the matcha. Meh.😐 Review on June 2019 Matcha & Sweet Beans Roll($6.50) Pillowy light & airy Matcha chiffon cake with sweet smooth milk cream and Japanese "Ogura" beans. Probably, the only pastry I recommend from what I had.👍😋 Matcha Mille Feuille($9) Crisp & flaky but HARD pastry layer sandwiched with creamy rich Matcha butter, custard and sweet chestnut. If it had better pastry layer, this will be a great dessert.🙂 "Sakura" Raspberry Pie($9) Look nice, taste otherwise. Sweet Matcha & Sour Raspberry cream over a HARD base pie topped with foamy sweet lightly torched Sakura Meringue.🤨 Matcha taste being overpower. Just felt a little weird after tasting it.🙄 Matcha Latte($9) Rich & Milky.😍 Not sure why their crust, pie, etc base all so hard.🤔 Do try their Japanese Whisky Ice cream.😋 A classy restaurant with friendly polite staff. Hamburg Steak($42) Soft, tender, juicy & moist Beef Patty with thick heavy creamy Demi-glacé sauce seasoned with soy sauce and 2 kinds of miso paste.🤤 Accompany by Mash Potato & Soft Carrot. Iberico Pork Misozuke($28) Mouth-watering thick cut chewy pinkish succulent tender Grilled Miso-marinated Iberico Pork served with sesame pepper.😋 Come with lightly seasoned soft vegetables & sesame seed. Every set meal comes with either white rice or seasoned rice, a bowl of miso soup & pickles. Choose the flavourful seasoned rice that had chicken cube & mushroom in it.😊 Gindara Misozuke Yaki($42)😋 Ultra smooth tender melt in the mouth savoury Grilled Miso-marinated Black Cod.

Food was exquisite. Attention to details is immaculate. Service staff was very attentive & polite. Price was acceptable for these considerations. However we wasn’t really blown away by the food. It wasn’t bad by any means. Perhaps our expectation was raised overly by the many social media postings. Highly recommended.

There's a sense of relaxation feeling the moment stepping into the cafe. The store was located beside the waterfall forest, allowing patrons to have great ambience with the partly open concept dining. To compliment it, the food offered by the restaurant was also of high qualities. Not only were they tasty, yet also Instagram-Worthy. The service may not be top-notch, but at least with a certain level that personally think it's sufficient enough.

Celebrated my last birthday at this place with my buddies in 2020… They have quite a bit of varieties in terms of choices and taste wise mostly nice :-) There was a long queue outside so the serving staff were probably under pressure to clear table as quick as possible…. so once the plate was empty, they cleared it almost instantly 😂 Suggest they set a dining time limit so at least diners can eat with at own pace.

A feast at #jw360 changi #changijewel . We had to queue for about less than an hour which was great totally electronic queue system. Just go in to take the queue number then off you go shopping! The food we order. Tonkasu. It was moist but not that tender the use a thicker block but the juice did flow out and totally good as well like it. But not black pork sadly its the normal one for 36 dollars. I think its very close to what I had in Japan liao for the normal pork. Hope then tenderize it more. It comes in a set if you want i chose the seasonal rice which has chicken bits more like chucks also the side diakon and the miso soup which reminded me of the banana skin smell. Quite weird but I kept on drinking it cause really like banana skin taste it was probably the beancurd. Gindara nabe ( black cod ) This was really refreshing with the cod flavours long time never had this already. Also cost 36 in side with lots of veg and udon as well the udon might be handmade due to the unevenness and also the texture was good. Flavourful good for one pax sure full. Fried oyster It was alright it cost 28 I think comes in 5 it was cripsy and then you bite the juice all flowing out 😊 Have the side sauce as well. Hayashi rice. This one damn good like the sauce was the spaghetti beef sauce. Very umami flavour really good as well totally recommend this one.cause sure okay de tomato beef stew like that sure won't disappoint. One taste and it opens up your appetite to wolf down on this one. Drinks had ginger ale well you can skip this. Ginger syrup and tonic water like that 7 dollars. The green tea one pot 3 dollar this is good just chill there. Over all if I were to come back it would be for the miso black cod which I didn't had which was recommended. I totally forgot about that after I saw the tonkasu so yeah. The hunt for the tonkasu is still on.

I loved the Buta Miso Nabe. The highlight of this Nabe is the 2 year aged spicy miso. It really gives the Udon the mellow, smooth n yet spicy taste. Buta totally melt in the mouth n lots of vegetables. We also ordered the Torimomo Shichimu Yaki. The grilled chicken skin is crispy yet the meat is tender. However sad that the seasoned rice is sold out. Overall a good meal, worth the visit.

Nice Japanese restaurant, that has a decent variety of food. The food was delicious. The Salmon Tonkatsu was really well done and so was the Chicken Nabe soup. Most items come with a set except the Donburis. Staff seemed a bit rushed but were still polite. Restaurant has a nice ambience, u can hear the sound of the water vortex. Will visit again.
