K Kitchen, Woolwich: A Kool But Hit and Miss Korean Takeaway
Public Transport:
Train: Woolwich Arsenal Station
Bus: Numerous bus routes serve Woolwich, including 180, 422, 472, and 486.
Halal Certification:
K Kitchen proudly uses Halal-certified ingredients, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions.
Dining Experience:
While K Kitchen offers a cozy space for up to four people, it's primarily known for its takeaway services through platforms like Just Eat and Uber Eats. This makes it a convenient choice for those seeking a quick and delicious Korean meal.
Food Review:
Chicken & Vegetable Gyoza: These homemade gyoza were a decent start, but the filling could benefit from a bit more flavor, perhaps with additional spring onions and spices.
Prawns & Chicken Bokumbap: The addition of a fried egg to my order elevated this dish significantly. While the sauce was present, it could have been more pronounced.
Korean Fried Chicken: K Kitchen's Korean fried chicken is a standout. The double-fried method ensures a crispy exterior, and the Plum Garlic Chilli and Honey Butter Garlic sauces are particularly delicious.
Kimchi Jeon: Unfortunately, the kimchi jeon didn't quite hit the mark. The texture was different from what I've experienced at other Korean restaurants, and the dipping sauce was merely okay.
Overall:
K Kitchen offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere and provides a variety of Korean dishes. While some items were more successful than others, it's a solid option for a quick and satisfying Korean meal, especially if you're looking for takeaway.
