We had to ask for cutlery. We're totally capable of helping ourselves, but it says it's staff-regulated. We had to ask like, three times before it came. And then, when the barbecue set arrived, which is supposed to be for two or three people to share, they only gave us sauce for one person. How is that for sharing? The Korean experience is supposed to be special, and I just didn't feel like it was. It felt rushed. I could compare it to cheaper Korean restaurants on high streets, where the experience felt more authentic to Korean culture.
A significant issue was the preparation of the meat. Cutting the meat is an essential part of Korean BBQ, yet we were not provided with a proper, sharp pair of scissors. The scissors supplied were both blunt and broken, with one handle damaged. As a result, it took around 10 minutes just to cut the meat before we could begin grilling, which negatively impacted the flow and enjoyment of the meal.
Overall, the experience did not reflect the quality, authenticity, or level of service we expected.
