Everything sucks since Chinese owner bought the business. This is C-time, not K-time. The interface only prioritize chinese songs but removed all korean songs. Don’t come if you are not chinese.

Do not come if you do not speak Chinese. My group had so much difficulty with the interface we ended up using YouTube the entire time. There also is no songbook so only one person can browse songs at a time. In my room, standing next to the touchscreen blocked the view of the TV. Just save your money and sing along to YouTube karaoke videos at home.

The karaoke rooms are nice and the machine is pretty easy to navigate. Pretty clean. We went on a Friday night two weeks ago around 9pm with 4 people without a reservation. You provide your ID as a deposit and sign a sheet to agree on rules. Our karaoke experience was fun overall, but didn’t love that we were charged a 15% service fee on top of the $49/hr room charge. Frankly, there was not much service received during the experience (except for the instructions in the beginning on how to use the machine). Pretty sure automatic service charges are illegal in California starting July… Solid karaoke place if you’re in the area.

The place gives free drinks if you give them 5 stars, so the reviews aren’t reliable. The problem with this place is that they don’t tell you the amount of time you have, so you’ll be paying more than expected. There’s also hidden fees like service fees and cleaning fees. However, when we entered the room, the seats were still sticky. The cleaning fee doesn’t go into cleaning the room at all

This place exceeded my expectations. Celebrated my birthday here with a big group of friends. I called for a reservation and sent over a deposit. They add a 20% service fee. You pay for the room by the hour and the rate depends on the size of the room. I had a group of 17 and we were placed in a big room that was space themed. There was plenty of seating around the room and a huge table in the middle. You're allowed to bring food and drinks which is a HUUGGEEE plus. It looked like they also sold snacks and drinks. The karaoke system that they had was nice because you could use YouTube. Def a nice option so you can sing more current songs. The staff was attentive and helped us out quickly when one of the mics wasn't working. Awesome experience!! Would go again!!

Super fun and cheap Karaoke! The staff were super nice and welcoming. The small room we booked was so cute! Very clean and cozy. It was perfect for the 3 of us. I love that they have the traditional system and also Youtube if you couldn't find the song you wanted; which was so nice and we really enjoyed having that option. We didn't buy any snacks or drinks but it looked like they had a few options. I will definitely be coming here again.

Our new favorite Karaoke spot!! I've read mixed reviews about K-Time Karaoke. We tried it for ourselves and I wish we had gone here sooner. This review takes account of a party of 2. I am not sure how it works for bigger parties. Summary: Price: $49 an hour + tax +15% service fee (We did 1 hour and paid $60) Ambiance: 10/10 Quality of supplies: 10/10 Music selection: 10/10 Cleanliness: 8/10 (Both the room and bathrooms) Service: 10/10 Parking: 3/10 Food/Drinks: N/A AMBIANCE: 10/10 This has been one of the most aesthetic karaoke spots I've been to. I've been to dingy karaoke spots in Japantown before and have paid around the same price as K-Time Karaoke. They chose the room for us and it was a Doraemon theme. I think it depends on the size of your party. In terms of requesting to pick, I'm not sure but we didn't care what room we got. I saw there was a KAWS theme which was cool. Even the cash register was all decked out with a cute color-changing music note. Every single item in this place had a lot of details. Even the doors to enter the karaoke rooms to the microphone holders. I also loved the colorful disco lights. QUALITY: 10/10 BEST microphones I have ever used at a Karaoke spot. The microphones were so sturdy and heavy. The microphones were placed on glass stands which I thought was so fancy and smart. The couches were so plush and had cute gemstones on them. The quality of sound was spot on and clear. MUSIC SELECTION: 10/10 The songs here are unlimited due to the power of the YouTube option they provide. They have songs but they, as well as I, recommend you use the YouTube option. Any song you can think of, no matter the language, you will for the most part find it. CLEANLINESS: 8/10 I appreciate that they provide disposable microphone covers. The rooms were clean. The bathroom was decently clean. Not spotless but not horrid as well. SERVICE: 10/10 The man at the register was very nice both on the phone and in person. He was very informative before we started our time. Both him and his colleague greeted us as we left. PARKING: 3/10 K-Time is at the corner of 19th Avenue and Taraval, the metro and bus stops, and the residential area. Parking is not the best out here whatsoever, so maybe Uber unless you don't mind parking far. Food/Drinks: N/A We did not buy drinks or food but they do sell cold drinks. I saw they sell snacks as well. I want to go back already!!

I made a reservation through the phone for a Friday at 7pm which is the time they open. I got there a little bit early since they told me to get there on time since it can get busy on Fridays and weekends so I got there at 6:50 and the door was still locked which makes sense since it wasn't 7pm yet. My wife and I walked around outside for a bit then came back at 7pm exact and then the door was still locked. I saw there was a girl at the counter but she was just on her phone and did not seem to notice that I was at the door. I ended up waiting for 7 minutes for them to open the door but no one came so I called them even though I was literally standing right outside there. They didn't pick up the phone and I called again and some guy picked up and I asked if they opened at 7pm and they said they did so I told them the door was locked. They then proceeded to tell the girl to open the door to which they finally did so we got inside at like 7:08pm. The girl checked us in and had me sign a waiver pretty much saying that they're going to charge a 15% service fee onto the bill which I had 2 issues with but I signed it anyway because my wife and I made the drive out from Concord and still wanted to do karaoke. First, why charge an immediate 15% service fee for a party of 2 before even getting serviced? We're literally 2 people and didn't leave a mess in the room when we left. Second, as of July 1, 2024, a new California law, SB 478, prohibit businesses from adding automatic service charges onto consumer bills. Seems like they need to update this practice of immediately adding a 15% service charge unless they're using the waiver as a means to protect themselves from the new law which I think is a bit scummy/shady from a business perspective. She also asked if I tried to open the door earlier and I told her that I tried opening it twice but it was locked. Like, didn't she just unlock it for me??? Anyways I signed it cuz we still wanted to have a good time. The last part that threw me off at check-in was that they needed to hold onto my I.D. until our room time was up, so that means they held onto my I.D. for an hour which I was not comfortable with. I'm not sure why they would need that and no other karaoke places have ever required me to leave my I.D. as a deposit of some sort so again, another kinda shady practice since there's no point of holding the I.D. The girl brought us to one of the karaoke rooms and quickly explained how the tablet and picking songs worked which was fairly straightforward. When she left, I went to use the bathroom, and keep in mind, my wife and I were the first party to enter for this night into the venue. The bathroom was pretty dirty, didn't have toilet seat covers, had graffiti on the wall, and there was no hand soap either. My wife used the bathroom after me and also agreed that the bathroom was pretty nasty. Pretty strange it was dirty already being that the place just opened for the night. I asked the girl at the counter and asked if we could get water and she pointed at the fridge in front of the counter and told me I can take one. I asked if it's free and she said no it's $2 and then proceeded to ask me if i wanted room temp water which I said that's fine. But then she was about to grab a water bottle off the floor and I asked is that $2 also and she said yes so I just opted for the cold water. Pretty strange they have no free water option because every karaoke venue that I've been to usually just comes with water for free. I think that's it for the service, now onto the karaoke part lmao. My wife and I actually had a great time in the room. The tablet was easy to use and had a big selection songs and even had kpop like New Jeans there and also Japanese songs. Note that there's no Filipino songs in case you're wondering. The room was nicely decorated and I saw a glimpse at the other rooms which looked nice too. The only issue with the room is that the disco light ball made a very loud whirring sound so I debated on turning it off but we didn't want to sit in complete darkness and we also didn't wanna do karaoke with the lights on because let's be real who does that? lol. Kinda wish the tablet was also mobile but it's just attached to the wall so you kinda have to awkwardly just stand facing the wall while queuing music. Lastly, there was a sign at the counter saying that if you rate them 5 stars, they'll give you a free drink like a soda or water or something so keep on mind that some of these 5 star reviews are probably fake because people want free drinks. TLDR; overall this might be the worst karaoke place I've been to so far. The room was $49, no free water, automatic 15% service charge, dirty bathroom, didn't open on time, held my I.D. for some reason, and a very loud disco ball. Bill came out to be like $63 for 1 hour. Only giving 2 stars because the song selection was good and my wife and I were still able to make the best of it and have a good time.

Went here for a birthday. This karaoke spot has a good selection of music that have the classic staples ranging from 80s-00s. There's a few modern ones too. Service was fine - we just got set up and they left us alone for the rest of the night. I honestly can't remember the food policy because we pregamed and got even more hammered. We also had a kid there too so kids welcome too. Price is affordable and ambience is on the nicer end compared to others and especially cheaper than the ones deeper in the City

I called last minute for a 8 person reservation and they were able to accommodate us. We have a birthday friend today and they even let us bring in the cake.

My group of 4 were able to get a room the same day, we came here after another karaoke place we tried to go to couldn't take us in until 3 hours later. It is on the pricier side, our room was $49 per hour. We did 2 hours and had a fun time! When we were brought to our room, the staff member showed us how to look up songs. He suggested that it's better to search up artists by their initials. It looks like it's sourced by YouTube. It was hard to find certain artists, but eventually my friend figured it out and we were able to add songs seamlessly. We weren't offered any food menus nor did I see any pricing for alcoholic drinks. I had to go up and ask for a $13 bottle of soju. I'd come back again, our room was nice but at the price point I would suggest looking elsewhere if you're trying to budget.

Booking a reservation at this place was straightforward, which was a plus. However, I had a few issues with the deposit process. The deposit has to be made through Venmo or Zelle, which felt a bit sketchy. I sent my deposit via Venmo and confirmed receipt with them twice on separate occasions, both times receiving confirmation that they had received it. Yet, on the day of the reservation, I received a text saying they hadn't received my deposit. After sending a screenshot of the transaction, they eventually acknowledged it. On the day of, I tried to push back my reservation time and was told by a lady on the phone that she would call me back to try to move things around with the other reservations, but she never did. Instead, I received a call a minute later from someone else asking if I was still coming. I explained that I had just spoken to someone and assumed they were handling it. It turned out I had spoken to the general reservation line, while the call was coming from the actual establishment, which was important because there are three different locations. This miscommunication cost us an hour of our reservation time because I was waiting around for a callback... On the bright side, I was satisfied with the room and appreciated that we could bring our own drinks as outdoor food and drinks are allowed. We wanted to purchase food on-site, but the only option available was chicken wings which we ordered. The karaoke system had a few glitches but was overall updated and offered a wide selection of songs. The availability of YouTube was a nice touch. One key point to note: they answer the phones but not emails, so calling is definitely the best way to get ahold of them. Despite the issues with customer service and communication, I would consider coming here again if improvements are made in these areas.

Really cool variety of themed rooms at $50 per hour, not bad to split with a group. Had a good selection of both English and international music. Had a blast with my friends here and would definitely come again for a night of karaoke! The workers were attentive to any adjustments we needed on the device as well :)

It was decent size and open late. Their tablet and choosing songs was really hard to navigate and the filtering of artist was hard. You have to have a lot of patience to use it. Sometimes the song will lag and then skip. Overall it was okay experience. We came as a last minute decisions after dinner.

I came here for my birthday and I really enjoyed the experience! The staff were helpful and kind, the room theme was cute (We had the Hello Kitty themed room). The karaoke system was easy to navigate as you could search any song on YouTube! The volume of the music was a bit alarmingly loud at first but you'll quickly adjust to it once you start singing your heart out! While we did not purchase any snacks, I love that they allow you to bring your own food. We originally planned to stay two hours but ended up having so much fun we stayed for an extra hour! There was a $10 discount for paying through Venmo.

Terrible service, terrible venue, overcharged compared to prices on website. They claimed that website prices are not correct, however these are the prices we used to plan the event. These prices are still up there on the website. We were in the VIP Galaxy room, and the prices are stated as $109 per hour for 12 people...it's pretty simple. The owner was extremely rude on the phone and in the below response, claiming that they included a higher price on their paperwork, compared to our request for a 12 person VIP room and pricing stated on the website. He clearly changed the paperwork before it was signed, because there was never a request or discussion for more than 12 guests. I see many other low ratings here, and the owner seems to reply disparaging many customers. Take a look at his response below, you will see how the customers are treated here. The representative/owner told me that it was okay to post this review, so I assume that there is little concern for the future of this business. Just take a look at his response below! Also, the karaoke system didn't work at all, we had to use YouTube! The menu was also bogus, can we give negative stars? What does VIP stand for at this place???

We had a blast here. The room we had was spacious, all the equipment worked, the karaoke machine was easy to use, and it had a screen playing the music videos along with sing a long captions. All of those together are hard to find at times so we were very happy. On top of that, the lounge sofas were comfy and you're allowed to bring your own drinks. My only feedback here is for the staff. I thought they could be friendlier and warmer. People are obviously looking to have a good time when they visit a karaoke bar and are in a cheery and celebratory mood. We found the energy of the staff to be that of nightclub bouncer's, standofffish and dismissive. I would definitely be more empathetic if the place was incredibly busy but it was not.

My boyfriend and I have been here a handful of times. Each time it seems like they've changed their policies. I always remember the pricing being quite expensive, it's around $80 for two people for two hours. On top of that they have a charge for service which you have to sign a consent form for. It doesn't really make sense to me that they charge service when we don't usually order food. I'd get if they provided some sort of service, but all the service is optional while the service charge is required. The array of songs are pretty outdated with how expensive it is. If I would recommend any karaoke place in SF with fair prices and dated songs, go to K-BOX Karaoke in Japantown. It comes out to about $70 per person, and their systems are super up to date. It's very likely they'll have the song you're looking for!

Had everything i could think of, including new songs (at least as new as 1 month ago as far as I could tell). +1 star: Huuuuge table to keep your things. +2 stars: They're pretty flexible with party size. -1 star: Pricey, but our party ended up using the drinks + snacks room service a few times and so I'd wager that might also have something to do with it. +1 star: The only karaoke place we found in SF last min on a Friday evening that had rooms available for 12+ people. I think the only reason it wasn't fully booked out was because of its location (Lower Richmond).
