Stayed there for 2 months. Staff, restaurant, and rooms were all great. Highly recommend

We stayed here a few years ago now, (just a month before the first Covid lockdown) and remember it being a pleasant stay with a large room with everything we needed, decent dining facilities and friendly customer service. Great location within short walking distance of Shepherds Bush tube station, and handy to Westfields and TV Centre.

The hotel is really nice, the rooms are good at the top. However, I asked to change my first room because even was good was half a lot because was near the waste pipes this room was located on the ground floor. ||After complaining they gave me a new room on the top floor and it was really good, no more smell. |The place is really tidy and has good light, plenty of space and the bed good, no problems with sleeping. All good. ||By the way, the food in the restaurant is quite good as well as the room service.||I also enjoyed the SPA, they have good treatments, high recommend it

We have been staying at this hotel at each visit in London since 2002 and every time I felt like I was coming home. Great staff and breakfast never let me down. I love the spacious gym and lots of machines to do your workout with. Rooms are great and modern. I truly recommend it.

Stayed for 1 night (Sat - Sun) in the superior double room. Check in and staff were great. But the room was very basic and it felt like it needed an update. The TV in the room was dated and didn't have the functions most new TV technology has. So you are stuck with basic channels, and no other form of entertainment (music, or channels for movies etc). So even if you wanted to bring you own tech ( like Firestick for music or TV apps) it doesn't work. Just felt like I was getting a lower standard overall than home life - which is not what you expect from a hotel. Booked the spa at an additional cost of £25per person - and was told 15 mins before our time slot that the Jacuzzi was not working, so we just made the most of the Steam and Sauna - not worth the price. Breakfast was also an additional charge, which was ok. Overall, having been to KWest a couple of times before, this visit wouldn't inspire me to return.

The room size was amazing but when arrived there waa hairs on my towel. Left over rose petals at the back of the bath and the bath felt scummy when i got in. A few staines on the towels.£15 a drink is a bit steep. Nice there was an ice machine outside are room. Weird i didn't have to check in at the reception as its all done online but good you can use your phone to get in ur room but not so good when your phone is dead

I recently stayed at the K West Spa Hotel in London. The receptionist upgraded us to an executive room, which was spacious and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and the bathroom was well-appointed. The hotel is located in a good area, close to Shepherd's Bush Underground Station and Westfield shopping mall. There are also a number of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. They were able to answer all of my questions and make my stay as comfortable as possible. However, I was disappointed that breakfast and the spa were not included in the price of the room. Breakfast was £25 per person hot or £20 pp continental, and the spa for 1hour was £15 per person if you have booked a treatment or £25 with no treatment. I felt that these were quite expensive, especially considering that the hotel is not a 5-star hotel. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the K West Spa Hotel. However, I would not recommend upgrading to an executive room unless you are willing to pay extra for breakfast and the spa. Here are some pros and cons of the hotel: Pros: Spacious and comfortable rooms Well-appointed bathrooms Friendly and helpful staff Good location, close to public transportation and shopping Cons: Breakfast and spa not included in the price of the room Spa facilities are a bit small Some of the facilities are showing signs of wear and tear Overall, I would give the K West Spa Hotel a 4-star rating. It is a good hotel, but it is not without its flaws. If you are looking for a luxurious stay, I would recommend staying at a different hotel not overly priced and includes using the spa facilities and breakfast for the duration of your stay. However, if you are looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in London, the K West Spa Hotel is a good option.

This hotel was shocking and absolutely nothing like its website. For what it cost it was awful and i wish I’d booked a premier inn. We paid a little more wanting a tiny more luxury and to use the spa but what we had was much worse. |It was very smelly, room was tiny (although they told us we had an upgrade- booked a superior room). We had twin room beds hard, pillows hard and obviously very old and lumpy. Smell hit you in whole hotel but particularly in room. Bath plug whole clearly blocked as water did not empty out after showering. Towels get tinge, furniture chipped and outdated and TV just did not work. |There was considerable noise beyond midnight with people shouting up and down corridors and outside noise from 530 am - we slept for about 4 hours. The room was boiling hot and air conditioning making it worse. |I am so glad we did not book breakfast. |As for the spa well !!! I booked us in a few days before to use it and was shocked to be told as a guest we had to pay. It looked fab on website so thought ok it will be worth it. On arrival in spa was time reduced price if £15 from £25 each as temp in jacuzzi not as hot as should be. I thought ok. We went in and it was just awful. One dim light on steam room no light on and hose pipe in middle of floor, whole place stunk, jacuzzi area looks fair size and main feature was very small and cold so could not be used. The only thing could use was sauna that looked ok. Whole area dated and awful. We had refund and left immediately ||All in all staying here ruined what was planned to be a mother and daughter shopping trip we were too exhausted to enjoy it.|My advise is don’t book to stay here

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, but there were a few issues. The rooms was comfortable but the bathroom was old. The shower didn't get super hot and we could not turn on the heat in very cold London. The breakfast was delicious and convenient as well as the hotel bar. Overall the staff was friendly, the cleaning staff did seem to always be in our room when we arrived home however

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel and truly enjoyed every minute! The rooms were clean, the front desk staff were super friendly. They even let us borrow an umbrella because it was unexpectedly raining. We had the included breakfast which was delicious. They offer an upgraded breakfast if you wish to do that too. We were also able to enjoy the spa and it was awesome. They have a large hydrotherapy pool with chairs you can sit or lay down on in the water, a waterfall, a sauna, steam room, a cold chill room, foot baths, showers - it was worth the money for sure. The beds were super comfortable and the room we had was actually quite spacious! The hotel is also very close to the tube and major streets. It's very walkable with lots to do within a short distance. I would definitely stay there again the next time I return to London as it was a great value.

Yelp
Nice hotel. Employees were helpful and rooms were clean. Restaurant and Bar provided great food and beverages. Their breakfast is wonderful! Their spa was very relaxing. The neighborhood was nice and felt safe. The hotel is located near public transportation.

Yelp
I stayed at the K West Hotel recently on a business trip. The hotel had an amazing breakfast- you must try the avocado toast!! The rooms were smaller than we are used to in the US but still fit two of us pretty well. The location was great. Although it was a bit out of downtown, there was a Tube station about two blocks away. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
As an event manager, it is my responsibility to book hotels for my travel team. My team came back and said they had the best experience and to rebook it again for next year. The staff was personable and made our week long stay great. Big shout out to Yolanda and the restaurant team. Yolanda greeted me each morning by name and brought me a freshly made green juice each morning. It's the little touches like remembering my order that goes a long way!

Yelp
There's a lot to like about this 'Rock & Roll' themed boutique hotel. 1. Clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. 2. Complimentary ipad to use in the room. 3. Complimentary cell phone for local calls and gps for traveling (they call it a travel buddy). 4. Hotel bar that doesn't close early. 5. 24hr room service. 6. very short walk to convenient stores and chemist. 7. Hotel breakfast served until 11 am. 8. Very friendly and accommodating staff and front desk personnel. 9. 2 minute walk to Shephard's Bush Tube station. 10. A beautiful spa which offers a variety of services. 11. Very competitive rates. K West Hotel and Spa is my favorite place to stay when I'm in that part of town.

Yelp
Worth a booking! The spa is 5-stars, completely top-notch. The relaxation room after massage and spa area with chill room, steam, self-salt soak, sauna...amazing, all of it! Rooms were quiet and well-kept. Food was fantastic (vegan options available). Walking distance to Westfield Mall and tube. I will stay again.

Yelp
Don't think I would ever stay at this hotel again. But let me giveaway them credit where it's due - at least based on my experience... Pros: Complimentary continental breakfast Lobby bar that's open late - good cocktails too. Spa Large rooms From my experience, the shining flaws were: :: Check-in. I had three credit card authorizations pending on my account for 3+ additional days. I booked online (one pending charge), upon check-in (second pending charge), their system went down and insisted I put my card info down again (third pending charge) and informed me it would be cleared up by the morning. It took more than three days get that fixed. :: Our room was not properly stocked - was there for less than 12 hours, and yet the TP and bath tissue was out by 7am the next morning. An no, no one was sick. :: Rooms have mini fridge, but no mini bar. :: You have to pay for the gym :: Because of the check-in issue, our room was "upgraded," but our room was in a basement-like setting. (Because the hotel is situated on a hill, the 2nd floor is actually below street level. The room was dark, stale, and the A/C did not work. Ended up just turning off the AC and opened the windows late into the night. For what you pay, I didn't see any value in our stay. I'd avoid or just hope the issues we had isn't the norm. Yes, I did bring these issues to the staff's attention at check-out. Their response was, "well, we did upgrade you to a X room." My response, was: "Yes, a poorly equipped room in a basement with no air." I was offered an email to contact their management. The least she could have done was comp the parking. The least...

Yelp
Room 123 is pretty scary ..found this crawling in my room around 2am one night .. couldn't sleep for the next two days. Had someone come remove it but they didn't offer to move me or anything
google avatar

Benjamin S.

Yelp
The room itself was pretty impressive. Let me just start by saying that. For a hotel room in Europe, it was very large, spacious, had my own living room setup including desk, king sized bed, and the bathroom was a great size and their was a closet of quite a decent size. I didn't check out much of the amenities (spa etc.) but a few things i didn't like about this hotel - it becomes quite a night scene where a lot of people I'm guessing from the area come for drinks and it's loud and annoying. The breakfast was not very good and is confusing. One day we just got our food and sat down, another day a woman came and told us this was not free and we had to pay. Which one? It is located fairly close to a tube station (maybe a 5 minute walk tops) and there's places to eat on the main drag an equal walk as to the tube station. Convenient, but not ideal. I wouldn't be opposed to staying here again. I'll just know to go elsewhere in the evening if I don't want to be in the party-central lobby!

Yelp
We stayed here for a business trip and loved every aspect of this hotel. First, they allowed us to check in early (as we arrived after a red eye flight from the US). Not only did they have a room ready, but we got upgraded to a lovely suite! It was very spacious and we were so appreciative. The free continental breakfast was a plus (especially since we were broken after traveling in expensive London); we upgraded to the extra six pound hot breakfast upstairs for one day for a traditional English breakfast. (This was also very good). Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the spa or fitness center, but I really appreciated the discount spa hours (had I used them). Loved the free wifi - thank you! Overall, great location (2 blocks from the tube/Shepherd's Crossing stop), friendly staff, and amazing stay over all. Within walking distance to the Olympia (for a business conference) and very safe neighorhood. Loved my stay here!

Yelp
Friends and lovers-of-novelty-foodie-events, lend me your ears for this cautionary tale of the Rock 'n Cocktails Midnight Tea, which my friend booked for 6 of us on a Friday eve for her birthday. We love both afternoon tea and cocktails, so when we heard about K West's rock-star themed boozy 'tea' served between 10pm and midnight, it sounded right up our street. The table setting fit the theme well and was probably the best part of the experience. They'd clearly put thought into the kitsch metallic crockery, vinyl record menus and song title dessert puns. We amused ourselves taking pics of it all to pass the time as we'd arrived early. We were sat in the upstairs mezzanine and were the only ones there for the tea with a few other groups, likely hotel guests, finishing dinner. The waitress still took until 15mins past our booking time to come over to speak to us about tea. Our spirits lifted when she said our food was already prepped - but soon took a nosedive. My mate had requested one gluten-free tea which they'd remembered, but hadn't told them 4 of the group were vegetarian, thinking they'd easily be able to have a few extra veg things from the list. The waitress promptly panicked and disappeared to the kitchen, eventually returning to say she could offer the 4 veg teas but it would be a 45min wait. Now, I appreciate my friend was partly to blame for not giving them advance warning. But it surely doesn't take 45mins to make some extra halloumi sliders if the rest of the tea was ready... We agreed anyway, and turned to drinks. The waitress described the house tea blend which everyone receives. Then we were told to choose a cocktail from a list, or opt for a rack of taster sized samples of all 5. No brainer - almost all of us went for the 5 mini cocktails. As soon as we'd ordered our waitress then seemed to go missing. Eventually, and with no small effort, I managed to flag down the other server and ask for at least some water given we'd been there for over an hour. Another wait, still parched. Then the original waitress reappeared with the house tea. Which no one liked apart from me (very smoky and actually reminded me of whisky) but she managed to spill half of it anyway whilst pouring. And still no water. It was all getting a bit ridiculous. Eventually the tea stands appeared. Now the standard tea menu had 5 savoury items and 4 sweet, and we'd had over an hour to re-read the list. The tea stands we then got were confusing to say the least. Ok the 4 veg ones weren't going to be the same as the menu, but they weren't even the same as each other. One pair got given 2 (flat pebble-shaped excuses for) scones, whilst the others didn't but had extra cake instead. My gluten-free friend's stand, which they'd apparently remembered, was a joke. It looked as if someone had popped out to the supermarket and pre-bought some cakes. Now unless Mr Kipling was in their kitchen there is no way those cakes, particularly the perfectly iced cherry bakewells, had been baked on site. None of the stands had the meaty items from the standard menu on them either which I, as the token unfussy omnivore, was expecting. Confusion reigned supreme and in an effort to fix the situation the waitress brought out further plates of food. One had more flat scones, another had extra cakes. When I voiced that the savoury meaty items were missing for me, she overcompensated by bringing out double helpings of them. These were bread-heavy (think mini burger sliders and mini hot dogs drowning in ketchup) and though I usually love carbs (and most free food in general), these were obviously reheated and fairly unappetising. In fact most of the cakes tasted quite dry and stale, the worst of the lot being the creme egg burger which I'd been most intrigued by but was almost inedible. We'd almost forgotten our cocktails by the time they arrived, the rack of samplers looking much more appetising than the food. Sadly only one of them (the gin and elderflower) was any good, the others being extremely sweet and weak. We did the only thing we could in order to keep the mood up for the bday girl and get through the sugary drinks: play a drinking game! Several rounds of I Have Never later and our moods had lifted enough to rescue the evening (and finish the drinks). It was almost derailed by the final cherry on top when the bill arrived. They tried to charge us £20 extra each for choosing the cocktail tasters rather than a single drink, when a) nowhere did it say that on the menu, and b) the waitress had given us the choice without mentioning a price difference. She said 'sorry that was my fault' but made no effort to move, until she realised we weren't going to back down and put through the standard tea charge of £34pp. I did feel sorry for the poor waitress but the service was farcical, and the food and drink a long way from being up to scratch. A fun concept in theory, but in reality a poorly-executed gimmick to make better use of their bar. Avoid!

Yelp
The K West prides itself on being one of London's top trendy, hip and happening hotels to stay in. Many a celebrity has drunk in its' bar and many a band has stayed here, it's become a bit of a hot spot for that type of crowd when passing through London. The bar is pretty nice, it's situated downstairs to the right, as soon as you walk through the main entrance. It's the rooms, though, that count when staying in a place like this, especially seeing as it's so expensive! The rooms are very modern but I found them a little clinical. For a boutique / trendy hotel, I just felt this place lacked spirit and depth and replaced that with cubic furniture and clean, clinical colours. If you simply like the fact that staying in a "celeb" hotel is fun enough then fine, but I just think the K-West is slightly pretentious and over-rated...

Yelp
A real mixed bag of a stay here (ordinarily I prefer to crash with friends if ever I'm down in the Big Smoke to save some dough - but 20-odd of us were based here for a stag weekend so I had no choice this time!). Check-in was relatively straightforward and the staff were very welcoming. Three of us shared a twin room - two beds and a sofa bed; the latter wasn't very comfortable apparently. Our room (#224) was modern, comfortable and overlooking a quiet garden courtyard; the shower was a good one (one of my paramount requirements of a good hotel) so all-in-all the stay was fairly pleasant. What was dismal, and I mean dismal, was the breakfast - a real let down and enough to put me off staying here again if I'm totally honest, especially for the price overall. If I was from the continent I'd be appalled at the Continental breakfast offering - I left half of it and stopped somewhere else on my way to the train.

Yelp
I stayed at K West from 9/16-9/21/12. This was my 1st time visiting London and I found this hotel through Expedia as a part of the package deal. I must say I was quite impressed. I went to London on a solo trip and was terrified of having to stay in some crappy hotel. Well, K West did not disappoint. The hotel is situated in the middle of a neighborhood so the area is very quiet and quaint. It's just one block from a busy street with little shops and Westfield Mall. Also, Shepherds Bush train station is right there (Over and Underground). The room was SMALL (I had a Jr. Single) but was super clean. Every day when I returned to my room, everything was made and the staff even straightened my things on the bathroom sink! I was impressed. The front desk staff was very helpful to me when it came to finding different places to eat and with just general directions. i did eat at the hotel restaurant once and it was pretty good. I also enjoyed the bar one night but it is super small. I do have a few tips though: 1) They do charge 15 pounds a day for internet but they have 3 Mac's in the lobby. My suggestion: Take your own laptop and unhook their Ethernet cord and plug it into your own laptop. Also, Esquiree Coffee House around the corner has free wifi (and a great caramel mochiatto). 2) There's a possibility that your room is far away from the elevator so try to get something convenient. Other than that, this hotel really complimented my 1st trip to London and I have already recommended this hotel to friends who are looking to travel to the UK.

Yelp
This place has lost so many points the last time I stayed here. I've stayed here for work several times and I'm really hoping they don't book me here again next time. A) terrible Internet service. Don't expect to get business done here. You'll have to go to the downstairs lounge and use one of their computers for that. B) Understaffed and their front desk has a lot of trouble understanding English. Trying to get them to answer the phone if calling for something is an exercise in futility. C) Dubious stains on the duvet cover. D) weird moldy smell down the hotel hallways adjacent to the Spa. E) a little too close to the train. Expect to hear it a lot if they give you a room towards the back. F) bar prices get mysteriously more expensive the later you order. G) the towels are nice. Like, the best. But is that worth all the other hassle?

Yelp
My review is more regarding the actual hotel stay and the restaurant. I did not experience the bar apart from one night. However, bar drinks were very satisfying and they made sure you got your money's worth. We THOROUGHLY enjoyed K West this past holiday. For our stay of about two weeks we have virtually no complaints and left rather reluctantly! The location is absolutely prime - the Central line of the tube is right there (Shepherd's Bush station - literally a 3 minute walk at most - also a massive bus station as well as connection to the overground and national rail) and leads to virtually every place you could possibly need or want to go as a tourist or a resident. The housekeeping was comfortingly consistent, extremely thorough, and very intelligent. The food was brilliantly delicious and very nicely prepared yet all at extremely comfortable prices, which is wonderfully surprising - especially after you taste it. The staff was tremendously helpful (drawing us maps and making phone calls, etc), quick to respond to and correct any issue and very diligent. Not to mention insightful and interesting personalities (we got into a great conversation about art and music with one of the porters and he helped us out with loads of information and event news). Our trip to London was absolutely wonderful but as with everything there were ups and downs but I'm glad to report that K West did nothing but enhance our trip and add a very welcome extra touch of comfort. We'll be returning soon but bringing more friends along for the ride next time :)!

Yelp
I have been to the K west Spa and hotel on more than 1 occasion. Both times it has been a fantastic experience. The hotel itself is very modern and I believe some of the rooms are also being currently renovated further. My stay both times was in an executive room which is a large L shaped affair that has a sofa at one end, and an extremely large bed. The room comes equipped with a large flat screen television, a dvd player, a cd player and also a mini jack cable to use in your ipod/phone/mp3 player. If you wish to use the minibar then it can be stocked for a fixed price, however unless you want to spend big money don't rely on this as an option. There are also full tea and coffee making facilities. The well lit bathroom comes with bathrobes and shower gels, shampoo etc and a large bath. In the basement is the Spa and for a hotel resident it costs around £20 per person to use the facilities which include a sauna, steam room, hydrotherapy pool and snow room! Yes a room inside in which it snows! This has to be my favourite spa in London having been to several including the athenaeum and rafael on the west bank, the k west spa is by far the best. Their beauty therapists are extremely kind, helpful and make you feel wonderful. I was however moderately disappointed with the food that is served in the hotel, the menu is somewhat gastropub and doesn't really suit the feel of the hotels atmosphere. It is quite overpriced also for the quality of the produce. They do however have a good range of wines and the cocktail bar downstairs is fab, (around £9 per cocktail) however if you do not like RnB music do not visit on a friday/saturday night because again out of key with the rest of the hotel they have a poor quality, loud sound system and DJ playing, which meant we took our cocktails to our rooms. If you do not rely on the hotel to provide you entertainment apart from the spa its a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. But I would say find food in nearby shepherds bush for more value and quality. It can be quite expensive to stay here, however if it is for a treat, its great and I havent been disappointed.

Yelp
I made this review as more of a props to the people running the hotel rather than feeling the need to review it. WHERE TO START. I stayed at the K West through recommendation and I could not be more pleased. The hotel is extremely easy to locate from the underground. Access around town was quick and painless. Especially if you have been drinking and can't be bothered to walk a mile. Literally 3 mins max. The room was exceptionally clean and well thought out. The bed was VERY comfortable VERY clean (important). The lobby has computers w/ free internet at your disposal 24/7. I opted not to travel w/ my laptop and this saved me a trip to internet cafe on many occasions. I as well did not buy a phone so I received an abundance of calls to my room but reception was more than gracious to connect me each time free of charge. Oh! I also had an emergency that required me to call the states for a very extended amount of time. This could get expensive but reception allowed me access to the phone free of charge. POINTS! They easily could have charged me. It's a younger crowd so with the location not being so great for nightlife the hotel makes it up w/ late night going ons when you make it back. Yes there is a bar, yes it is just as the reviews claim. Full of 'Types'. I met people from all over the world, generally dudes in bands or record label people looking to buy you a drink LADIES. On second thought that is all I met. Period. So I guess it holds true to it's rep? Hearing this could be unsettling for some people, especially if on vacation but despite it I actually met and partied with some pretty rad people. But if you are looking for people who are not rad you can prob find that too haha. It's a bit intimate so it's easy to find yourself in conversation with complete strangers which is always great when traveling. Even on my last night, A mon night, I went down to the bar for a mellow farewell drink w/ the bartenders and ended up partying till dawn with some really awesome people. Totally fun, totally blasted, totally hungover, totally worth it! *Freak watching is a must over coffee in the morning. But all this is secondary compared to the amazing staff working at this hotel. I stayed extendedly on 2 different occasions while on my trip and upon my second arrival we were upgraded to an even BIGGER and BETTER room. And we thought the first room was nice... THANKS! Room service is also radically awesome. We would call between 4-5 AM every morning drunk as can be ordering tons of food and they promptly and happily delivered it. As well as let us mess with them which was loads of fun. We actually got pumped to call them, I never knew room service could be so entertaining. The food is very good, and the Pizza is excellent, GET IT. In fact we ordered half the menu. Few extra pounds welcomed. The bartenders quickly went from strangers to friends. I need not say more, miss them! I with confidence can say I will always stay here when in town. In fact I will be back to London shortly and am making it a point to stay here a few days just to chill out and see the peeps! GOOD TIMES.

Yelp
Nice place! clean, comfortable rooms, beds are pretty good, not the most comfortable I've ever slept in but good enough. Great gym with televisions on all the equipment. I ordered room service (a salad) and it was delivered within 10 minutes. Salad was basic but tasty. Glad I'm here on business because this hotel does charge for everything - Internet ($15 pound for 24 hours), gym ($10 pound). They also have an awesome coffee/water heating machine in the room, made by Haden. Heats up water in about 2 minutes flat! Me likey. Very friendly staff.

Yelp
Stayed here on business for 3 nights. Due to a mix-up on booking, my room was given away and I ended up with a room at the very opposite end of the longest corridor in the world overlooking some skips. The room was reasonably furnished although holes in curtains and stains on the walls. I guess someone had had a rock and roll party before I got there! The bathroom was lovely, well equipped and nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The air con didn't seem to do much of a job of cooling, unfortunately, even on it's lowest temperature. Reception couldn't offer much of a solution to that. My main gripe with the room was that there was nowhere for me to sit down to do hair and make-up. There was a mirror with some shelves in front of it in an awkward spot, so it was that or the bathroom, which is not ideal to plug electrical appliances into! I ended up struggling with a compact to dry my hair. Would have liked to have use the spa facilities but only really wanted to use the pool and felt it was too expensive just for a quick swim. One other problem was Google Maps not knowing where the hotel was! It sent me wandering round the roundabout at Shepherd's Bush Tube for a good half hour before I stumbled upon the hotel! One final problem was reception charging me for the full stay to my credit card I'd given for any incidentals - there were none, but they charged my full stay anyway, despite my company having already paid for the stay. No apology was forthcoming and it left me with a very bad impression of the hotel. I'd probably go back, but only as it's convenient for where I need to be on business and it'd be on expenses. Room Tip: Try not to get one overlooking the skips!

Yelp
I have to say..this place seems like it ate a bar of douche. First off, you have to pay for everything. In most places where you stay anywhere in the world, continental breakfast is usually free..I am not looking for anything big when I wake up in the morning..but maybe since the price of this place is $500 a night you could at least let me have a banana for under $5. And what the hell is with charging for use of the gym? And internet?..I was actually scared to flush the toilet because I felt like I was going to be charged for it.. I felt more at home in a bed and breakfast for $50 a night.. this place is the worst

Yelp
So disgusting. Misc stains on the couch, floor, towels. Bathroom floor looks to be never cleaned. Bathroom door handle falling off. Burned my hand on "cold" water. Explained that after my 10hr flight, my luggage was missing and I won't have it for a few days... £3.00 for a tooth brush. £3.00 for tooth paste. Internet is well below sub-par. Not happy here at all. I really don't see how they are billing this hotel as a "luxury" hotel. I've stayed at better Best Western's.

Yelp
This hotel wasn't quite as central as where I usual stay in London, but I let my friends pick the hotel, and overall, I was pretty pleased with the value for the rate paid. (Definitely check the Website for specials before booking!) The Good: - Great customer service, from the front desk staff to the bartenders - Only a short walk to the Shepherd's Bush station on the Central Line - Decent prices on drinks, snack and meals - Clean Rooms - Nice-sized bathroom with super large towels and great water pressure and steaming hot water in the shower - Large gym which is never crowded The Bad: - As some other reviews mentioned, even with the A/C on, my room had a strange dampness to it. My room didn't smell, but I noticed that papers I had on the desk actually were damp when I would get back to the room, and my clothes even felt damp. Really weird. - I had ongoing issues with my keycards not working. I don't know if it was the lock on my door (542), but considering I was at the end of a loooooong hall (202 steps from front desk to room, but who is counting??), it was quite a pain walking back and forth when they didn't work. The one night, I came home, neither key card worked. I walked back to the front desk, had them re-key both cards, walked back to the room, both cards STILL didn't work. Walked back to the front desk AGAIN....the person at the front desk didn't believe me, and walked back with me to try both keys. "Huh. I guess they don't work. I wonder why?" Really??? After 1,010 steps back and forth, that's what you have to say to me?? ***sigh*** But, all in all, pretty pleased with the hotel. I also really recommend dinner at a nearby gastropub called "The Havelock Tavern".....absolutely fabulous menu....and drinks at a local pub called "The Defector's Weld"....pretty laid-back local spot. Enjoy your stay in London!!!

Yelp
I've spent many a night in the K west hotel and will continue to do so, but only when i can get a reasonable rate. You can get a room one of the more basic rooms for around £135 a night in advance if you're lucky, which is much much cheaper than the rack rate. The K west is nice because it has the feel of a larger, higher class hotel without the price tag. It is for that very reason very popular with the music industry and touring bands. If you stay at the hilton (which in my opinion isnt any better) you will be paying twice as much. Depending on the room you choose at the kwest, you may get a settee, full size desk and even a large lounge area...they may even upgrade you to a suite!! Many of the things mentioned in other peoples reviews are true, yes i've stayed in a noisy room (due to the fly over being next to the window), yes i've had a room slightly damp or smelling of smoke, yes the bathroom fan could be better and many other things, but this hotel can be very very reasonably priced and when it is you get a lot for your money (for London) especially as this place includes SPA facilities. Furthermore, complaints are always handled well and guests moved accordingly. my only complaint is the price of breakfast, its nice, but half the price round the corner. Also Wifi wasnt free (that may have changed). In this day and age thats just silly.

Yelp
I love this hotel. I just stayed here while visiting a friend on the right side of the pond. It reminds me a bit of the aloft hotels; small, smart, beautifully designed. I love the location too! With the Tube just a few blocks away it makes it even better with instant access to the entire city at hand. i don't appreciate the 15lb 24hr wifi but everyone has to make a quid these days (Ha-ha using local slang-THATS getting immersed!). They do have parking, a real good restaurant, an equally stocked lobby level bar, multi-pc computer room, spa & lounge. Splurge a little and you will not be dissatisfied.

Yelp
This hotel may not look like much from the outside but inside is another story. Modern and elegant decor, stylish rooms and a great Spa. You do have to pay for the Spa but it is worth it. Something I have not experienced before is the snow room! There is even snow inside which if you are brave enough I saw a lot of people rubbing on themselves. There is also a sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy pool. Very relaxing experience and I would definitely go back. Oh and do try out the restaurant. Great service and very tasty, well presented food.

Yelp
I was in London in Feb of last year (where were you then, Yelp?!) & stayed at the K West for a full week. Totally trendy, very modern, extremely hip. There was always a scene in the lobby every night upon returning home. AND, I happened to be there during the Brit Awards. Apparently a bunch of musicians were in the hotel that night, too (as were their entourage of drunk floozies, they set off the smoke detectors in the hallway twice in the night & ran up & down the halls laughing & carrying on). Altogether, it was a positive experience, though the staff were incredibly pretentious & we got a lot of eye rolling anytime we had to ask a question or get directions. Funny thing is, that didn't happen anywhere but here. Ohh, London...

Yelp
I've been staying at the K West on trips to London since around 2003 when the BBC put me up there to appear on a TV show. It looked familiar to me when I got there and then I realized I'd been there in 1974 when it was a BBC studio that I had recorded in. Good memories. The bar is open late usually until around 2 AM and it's a fun place. The rooms are big and comfy. It's my home away from home when I'm in London. A very music industry friendly hotel.

Yelp
This is review is on the bar at the entrance. Well, I have heard wonderful things about this hotel and the spectacular bar that it has. I went out to this place last night with some mates. I have to admit it was alright. The drinks were good and waitress was quite pleasant and helpful. I am not sure i will go back here.

Yelp
I chose this hotel due to the proximity to the music venue I was going to that night but was pleasantly surprised to find it is even better than just perfectly located. I arrived early and weary from a 12 hour flight and was met by a great front desk woman who got me checked in quickly and early without a fuss!! My room was located what felt like a mile from the elevator but that did prove to make it a more quiet location. There is a great tea set up with a kettle in the room and the water was at a decent 2 pound price. My favorite was the bed though. it was the most luxurious king I have slept in, in England!! After the gig, I was with a large group of people that still wanted to drink. Lucky for me, the K West bar in the lobby stays open LATE. We sat and drank until the wee hours of the morning and I conveniently got to walk back to my room within moments. Will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
I seem to stay here a lot. Things that are always the same: - Rock stars in the bar (sorry for spilling that drink on you, Damian Rice) - Parking is a nightmare (naturally... this is West London) - My room is always about a mile away from the lobby - The staff may or may not speak English very well, but try to be helpful - You pay for internet in your room (urgh) The rooms, for a London hotel, are comfortable. I don't groan when I see K West in my itinerary, but there are certainly nicer places in town at the same price.

Yelp
Great location! Loving the Tube access! The spa is 25£ a day extra...pretty ridiculous! Overated...i joined Virgin Active Kensington for the pool. The bar is cute and trendy... The front desk staff tries to be helpful. Location amazing. We are enjoying the K- Suite which is a two room loft which is sunny, bright, spacious and hip looking!

Yelp
We stayed here for business and a few days of fun. This is a very different hotel its in the middle of the music area and there were several music types in the hotel Bar is very small and doubles as the breakfast area the restaurant is quite pricey The unique room bath was very modern with very little counter space but overall the room was comfortable If you dont want to stay in central London this is a good choise

Yelp
I am lucky enough to have K-West at the end of my road. I have been there for business meetings, a heavenly aromatherapy massage, and late night cocktails and boogies on many an occasion. Don't be put off by its forgettable exterior and proximity to charmless Shepherd's Bush shopping centre. It's crisp, cool and as well as being a decent boutique hotel is a perfect pampering and late night partying pitstop for sophisticated Londoners. I haven't visited the restaurant which looks pricey (as is the bar) but look forward to checking out its newly revamped K-spa. Deluxe decadence around the corner.

Yelp
Gorgeous boutique hotel. Fantastic late bar where I was taken for an after club drink. There were a fair few celebs drunk in the bar including Paul Weller, who refuses to allow people to have pictures taken of him when less than sober and even employs guys to stop you from taking his picture wasted. I managed to get lost in my drunken stupor trying to find the toilets and ended up getting a private viewing of one of the rooms, the corridors and finally the bathroom. It was a guided tour that made me want to stay there. I am sure I will do one night.

Yelp
Great rooms where you can sleep forever. Love the place where you can make use of the computers (Macs) complimenary. Location is ok. There is a great mall close by called Westfield. Service in the hotel was ok. Not spectacular. The warm welcome which is promised is not everywhere.

Yelp
Nice bar, lovely gym, and nice bathroom in the room. Rooms are fairly standard. Hallways and elevators could use an update.

Yelp
Stayed for 1 night with a friend. We had an amazing room (executive suite), I've never seen a room like it. All staff were friendly & professional however, seemed we were told different things over the phone when booking to what was said once arrived. No major issues just some time wasted confirming everything. Ate dinner in the restaurant both nights and it was absolutely delcious and fairly priced. We enjoyed a full day at the spa with treatments. I've visited many spas and this was one of the best. I expected and hoped the hotel and spa would deliver high quality services as it's not cheap. Full body massage for 55 mins was £95, parking for 24 hrs was £19; room rate was very high and breaklfast was not included. Prices were quite extreme but I wasn't left disappointed when I left totally relaxed and well looked after. Recommended as a treat but not your average hotel & spa prices.

Yelp
Great service, I had problems getting onto the internet and they sent Walter to my room to help me. He was friendly and didn't look down on my technological inabilities. The spa is unique but the massage was sub par.

Yelp
I stayed here for more than 2 weeks on a business trip and really enjoyed my time at the K West. It's a lovely boutique hotel, very modern and comfortable. Great bar area in lobby, with a lounge, excellent spa, and nice modern rooms. The location is good, right by the Shepherd's Bush station, and the Westfield mall (which is the largest mall I've ever seen by the way). Staff: Friendly, helpful, really nice. Room: Very nice, modern, comfortable, great shower (excellent water pressure). HUGE bath towels, and 2 nice white robes in the closet. I really liked the fact that I could open my windows in my room, which is not always the case in hotel rooms. Convenient heat/AC control panel located on the wall. Food: I didn't eat in the restaurants, but I got room service often for breakfast and dinner. Honestly, the food was very impressive. Lots of vegetarian options, and really fresh/quality, and for the most part, reasonably priced. I also loved that I could order breakfast at any time, including night. Spa: Lovely. The perfect way to unwind, I really enjoyed the saunas, steam room, jacuzzi, and cold room. Modern and really relaxing. I felt that 25 GBP was a very fair price to access these facilities. I went from 7-9 pm, and it wasn't crowded at all. They provide towels, robes, and spa sandals. What could make the K West better? -Free wi-fi for guests (wi-fi in the room is kinda pricey, but as I understand, this is typical for London hotels). If you purchase wi-fi, you're given a unique password combo for each endpoint, and have to key it in each time you use it (not very user-friendly). I was able to negotiate a discount on the wi-fi, given my long stay with the hotel. -Free gym use. The gym is really not that great, and it should be free, especially considering the price point for the hotel. -Better line-up of TV channels. The line-up was very limited, mostly BBC News channels, lacked variety. -Better quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Really cheap, bad-smelling. Not good, and I would expect better quality toiletries from such a nice hotel. -Free continental breakfast. The breakfast offered for 8 GBP in the lobby should be free. It's not worth 8 GBP, and I feel that offering it as a free amenity would be a wise choice. They probably throw away a lot of the food each day anyways - just make it free. It would have been nice to just grab some fruit on my way out each morning, but that wasn't an option. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here, and would absolutely stay again.

Yelp
Wasn't staying here but was drinking at the bar and I've got to say if you want to run into some rock stars, movie stars, or just the random person having their 5 minutes of fame this is the place to go. We came here after a show at the empire and met a slew of different bands and proceeded to drink the night away with them and every other starf*&ker who wandered by. The only downside was the two very hard working bartenders who were simply overwhelmed by the crowds but its worth being nice so that you can get the most out of your 20 dollar drinks.

Yelp
Sleek and modern hotel in a sleek and modern area of London, right next to the new Westfield Shopping District. The largest room I have ever had in London, but they do charge for every incidental.

Yelp
Paper thin walls. No noise control. Listened to the guest next door on their phone call without difficulty...

Yelp
This hotel provides easy access to the tube (about 2-3 blocks walk) and yet is on a relatively quiet street, which is nice. It has modern decor and was very clean. They didn't have the room we'd booked so we received a free upgrade and ended up with a pretty spacious room with a king-sized bed and 2 large windows. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We were near the elevators, so we heard a lot of noise that sounded like trolleys being rolled on the tile floor, but didn't hear any other guests or anything. The bathroom was disappointing compared with the rest of the room, however. With only 2 small halogen lights in the ceiling (and a lot of dark tile) it was quit dim and therefore it was impossible to put makeup on in there (or do anything requiring a higher level of light). The tub/shower leaked onto the floor no matter what we did so the grout was a bit mouldy and there were loose tiles all over the floor. The sink faucet leaked as well, and looked like it was 20 years older than the rest of the room. The restaurant and bar had decent food, but nothing special, and both were quite loud so it was hard to visit. They do have a separate lounge with a TV, a record player, and a selection of books (all relating to the music industry) if you want some relative peace and quiet away from your room. There's also a spa, pool, etc but there is an extra charge for those. I didn't use them, so I can't comment on the quality. This hotel is apparently frequented by musicians playing in London, so if you'd like to have a chance to spot someone famous this may be the place for you. Purely on the basis of the amenities, I'm not sure I'd stay again.

Yelp
HIp it is. This is a very hot spot. The rooms are cozy cozy and some of the friendliest staffs around, which whom remembers you time to time. I had a blast my first night there hanging down in the lobby bar for about 6 hours. Then taking a bath in that wonderful bathroom. Breakfast was amazing. Room service is awesome and fast. They make really good soups here. I also needed an emergency eyebrow fixing that next morning...and even thought the spa was booked, she made time to squeeze me in when she had the chance!! Ahhh customer satisfaction!! It is a rock star haven, you see them everywhere. Though you have to pay for wifi in the rooms...they have 2 huge MAC's downstairs with printers that are available to you 24 hours. A great place indeed.

Yelp
The pros: the rooms are clean, the bathrooms are large, broadband is available in room for 40 GBP/5 days, modern decor, and its a 2 minute walk from Shepard's Bush tube station. The cons: everything costs extra, including 11.50 GBP for a continental breakfast. Ridiculous. So grab some fruit and instant oatmeal at Morrison's a block away. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This was a lovely hotel, clean modern rooms, minimal style bar and nice staff. The downside is the location as it is a bit of a effort getting into central London.
