Where to Spend Lunar New Year in Houston | Eater

"Large windows spread along Ka’s front wall set the scene for the modern and minimalist decor at this Heights sushi staple. The sizable menu makes it easy to choose-your-own-adventure, whether on a date or dining with a larger group. Salads and crudo plates, large dishes for sharing, nigiri and sashimi, and a selection of maki rolls are just some of the items available to pair with a cocktail or a drink from the full bar. To kick off the Year of the Rabbit, an order of the seafood tower, complete with snow crab, tiger shrimp, Hokkaido scallops, octopus ceviche and raw oysters makes an excellent pairing with the “Where are My Dragons?” cocktail, made with Rémy Martin V.S.O.P., apricot, citron, pandan, and Szechuan peppercorn."

The 8 Best Uni Dishes in Houston | Eater Houston

"The sushi menu at Ka is vast. From cut rolls to nigiri and sashimi, there is a broad spectrum of excellent seafood to sample, including fresh sea urchin. Here, guests have the option to enjoy its honest flavor or make things even more decadent with a truffle oil drizzle." - Megha McSwain

KA Sushi’s happy hour is outstanding! We enjoyed the beautiful weather on their charming patio, which set the perfect vibe. The oysters, both raw and broiled, were phenomenal, bursting with fresh, bold flavors. The Old Fashioned was spot on—perfectly balanced and expertly crafted. Happy hour deals are fantastic, with generous portions and great prices on cocktails and sushi. The staff was friendly and attentive, making it an ideal spot for a fun evening. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

I’ve been a fan of this sushi restaurant for years and have recommended it to many people, but our recent visit was very disappointing. We had a reservation, but because we didn’t specify indoor or outdoor seating, we were told we’d be seated outside by default. That would’ve been fine, except it was 90 degrees, no one else was outside, and we were basically dining with a swarm of flies. I’m talking about at least 20 fat houseflies circling our table—we had to constantly swat them away while trying to eat. The restaurant did have fans to help with the heat, but nothing to deter the flies, which really ruined the experience. It’s only May—can’t imagine how bad it’ll be in the peak of summer with a third of their seating outdoors. To their credit, the general manager was apologetic, and our server, Danny, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and professional. He was the best part of the evening. As for the food, it was great. All the sushi rolls were delicious, the seafood tower was fresh and enjoyable, and the drinks were well-crafted. Everything came out quickly. Unfortunately, we realized after leaving that we were charged for the wagyu toast, which never arrived. Overall, while the food and service (especially from Danny) were solid, the overall experience didn’t match the high price tag or reputation. I hope they reconsider their reservation policy and take steps to improve the outdoor dining experience.

Google
I have been to myriad sushi restaurants through the decades, and by far this restaurant produces the best meals I am lucky to enjoy! They don't serve 'ordinary' sushi meals; no, the flavors and creations are next-level. You'll get very tasty food, presented beautifully. The staff was as wonderful as was the food. We were immediately greeted and made to feel special. The food came quickly and our server made sure we were well attended to. The restaurant is clean and neat, an indication that the kitchen is also clean. One of the best!

Google
Edit 2/14 - 2 stars: I finally came here for dinner and it was bad. The service took forever - I had to ask 3 times for a waiter to take my order - it took 20min. The food prep took another 25min. The team was putting dirty dishes right around where I was seated at the counter, so I felt like sitting in the kitchen. The sushi quality was just ok too… Not worth the price tag. Really liked this spot. Neat and spacious inside. Very friendly staff - especially Michael at the bar! Can highly recommend to try their happy hour (everyday until 6:30pm)

Google
Good place for a quick drink and bite. The eggplant is delicious. Tempura veggies were good, not amazing. Didn’t have a cocktail, was told they were good, and had super clear big balls of ice. The mocktails weren’t super. Would maybe go here again.

Linda at KA Sushi is truly exceptional! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel like VIPs with her warm, welcoming energy and incredible attention to detail. She’s knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was flawless. Every recommendation she gave—from appetizers to specialty rolls—was spot on. Her timing was perfect, and she anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Linda is a big reason why we’ll be coming back to KA Sushi again and again. If you’re lucky enough to have her as your server, you’re in for a great night!

I come here often for lunch and it's always exceptional! My favorite app is Rockefeller oysters, and i like to add on wagyu nigiri to any meal I get. I will always recommend this sushi spot before any others in the area.

Google
We came in on a tuesday night, it was quiet. we sat outside and had Danny as our server, he was great! and the manager also stopped by to make sure we were being taken care of. I had the espresso martini- it is made with tequila which i’m not entirely sure i’m a fan of. My cousin loved her sake. 1.rockefeller oysters 9/10 would get again 2nd roll- 2/10 do not like fried rolls- not the restaurants fault at all tho. 3. wagyu slim- 7.5/10 i liked it but i needed a lil extra something 4.chimi roll - 8/10. interesting flavors, pretty good.

Yelp
! Once I came in I was greeted by the lovely hostess. It's dim and very clean sharp modern place. So pretty. We sat at the bar. She gave us menus I had the spicy edamame as a starter. It was so good! The spicy flavor was all there! Hit my craving. For the spicy edamame I been craving for weeks. There water is ice cold. Service there is great. I also ordered the chocolate shrimp. Which was a hit the last time I came but they disappeared so fast I decided to be greedy and have it all to myself. The setup of everything flows nicely.

Yelp
I stopped by for a Friday lunch a couple of weeks ago. We grabbed seats at the bar for quicker service. Since I only have an hour for lunch, that's always a priority. We were greeted right away and ordered a couple of appetizers to start. We went with the shrimp tempura and the truffle snapper. The shrimp tempura was spot on! Crispy and light, a classic done right. But the truffle snapper stole the show. Super fresh and topped with a mandarin reduction that added the perfect touch of sweetness. Honestly, my favorite dish of the meal! For my entree, I had the wagyu slim roll. The wagyu was rich and flavorful, topped with pickled peppers that added just the right kick. I loved this roll, and my colleague who tried it agreed! Service at the bar was quick and efficient, which was exactly what we needed. Overall, it was a solid meal but nothing really stood out as extraordinary in terms of the overall quality. That said, I noticed they have a great happy hour menu so I might come back to check that out!

Yelp
We came here late on a Friday night (9:30pm) with a reservation and were immediately seated. Service was a little hectic/rushed, but we were there near closing time so that was to be expected. Staff was pleasant and attentive, helping recommend rolls to the table. They have a solid menu of choices with all kinds of proteins/fillers so even non-sushi people should be able to find something to enjoy. They also have a large cocktail, wine, and drink menu. Parking - private shared lot

Yelp
Absolutely incredible service. Beautiful restaurant, i love the design of the Bar! The food was amazing. Delicious Oysters Rockefeller 10/10 -Ive eaten oysters all over houston/ the gulf region and these are in my top 5 favorites. I also enjoy my crispy tempura sushi roll. 8/10! The Otoro Nigiri was great! I must say this was a great idea to stop by and visit for a quick bite with my girlfriend. I enjoyed every moment. :) I will definitely be returning to enjoy more oysters. Thank you so much KA Sushi for preparing our food with care and quality. We appreciate Quality. -Santangelo Balli Gonzales

Yelp
One of our favorite places to get sushi. The atmosphere is always enjoyable and service is helpful and nice. We always order in waves and the servers have never been annoyed or stopped coming by when we were deciding. Everything we ordered this round was delicious, but some can't miss is the Hamachi Chili and Waygu Nigri. First time trying their Unagi and was pleasantly happy with that decision! Food is pricy but they do have a happy hour that's worth checking out!
google avatar

Yelp
From the moment you walk through the gigantic front door, the ambience of the restaurant is comfortable and friendly, and the staff is always amazing. I love that I can go in and have something as simple as a seven piece nigiri lunch or as complex as the KA nigiri selection or their Omakase, even something as simple as their shrimp tempura is always prepared with mindfulness and care. I love coming here first because the food is always good and second because the staff always makes you feel welcome. Try KA, sushi and write your own review and share your experience.

Yelp
We came during their happy hour, which is weekdays 3-6:30 pm and weekends 11:30 am - 6:30 pm. Really nice times and deals! I think my favorite dishes were the oysters (6 pc for $9) and the king salmon! The service is also really good, they did a good job in explaining the menu and making sure we were up to date with their deals.

Yelp
Delicious! One of my favorite seafood spots in Houston! A bit on the pricey side but worth it in my opinion every once in a while! Great service and a beautiful patio as well!

Yelp
Always have a great time here. I'm a happy hour regular because I love the oysters. I'm also new to sushi so coming in and trying something different off the happy hour menu just makes the experience more interesting. My favorite menu item is the hamachi chili. The service is always quick and fast and being right in the middle of the heights is perfect for anytime during the day/week.

Yelp
Ambiance was very nice it was my first time trying the place out. Service was good went on a Sunday for HH and sat at the bar. The bartenders were good about checking in and offering suggestions. The food was nice. I had the cooked oysters, shrimp tempura, and chicken yakitori I believe. All tasted good the shrimp tempura was only two pieces so I did order another one. Would be nice if there were at least 4 pieces of shrimp but was still good. For drinks I had a spicy type of margarita and some other that I can't recall the name. They were good too. I would go back.

Yelp
The sushi was amazing, especially the salmon sake and Toro! Definitely would recommend having the same server because they were very kind and very attentive. Unfortunately I do not remember their name.

Yelp
Went during happy hour for a snack and had been here years ago. I enjoyed it back then as well! Place is cozy and has space. The service was great and quick. Price point is pretty high even with happy hour. Oysters 4/5 It was clean and good. I added soy sauce to it. Yellow rose maki roll 5/5 Solid but not spicy to me. Love the micro greens incorporated. Salmon tiradito 3/5 It had a tang to it but just okay for me, was light. Hamachi chili 5/5 My favorite appetizer! There is a little crunch and a little chili, has a good kick. The sauce on the bottom is also good.

Yelp
The $14 katsu sando plate was satisfying, with juicy pork and a crispy crust. The French fries were sweet....different, but enjoyable. The nigiri lunch combo is an excellent value at $20, including 7 pieces of nigiri and 2 rolls. From the combo, I subbed the California roll for spicy salmon roll. Lunch items come with complimentary miso soup and salad with miso ginger dressing. Vegetable tempura was pretty standard. A little more greasy than usual, but still good. Service was good. My husband and I dine in often, mostly at lunch, and had never seen the female server before. She was friendly and kept water filled and tabled cleared. One star off because fans weren't on or offered to turn on, so the flies were being aggressive.

Yelp
Visited Ka Sushi for date night during happy hour and tried all the happy hour rolls and oysters. The Raw oysters were the highlight, with a very citrusy flavor. The Oyster Rockefeller had a bit too much crunchy texture on top for my taste. The rolls were hit or miss. I enjoyed the smokey tempura the most, 10/10! We also liked the yellow rose roll. The service was great. We were seated right away and our waiter was very attentive. Would definitely return for happy hour.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and the deals were amazing! So many rolls and apps for under $20. We got the hamachi crudo, miso eggplant tempura, oysters and 2 rolls. Everything was amazing! The eggplant was my absolute favorite. Loved the miso flavor and it was so crispy. Service was amazing and the food came out so fast! The inside doesn't have a ton of seating but it's very cozy and vibey. Such a great spot for happy hour sushi!

Yelp
Came in for a late dinner after white linen night. We ordered mostly from the shareable portion of the menu to split against the 4 of us. Whole Fried Fish - very tender pieces but I was expecting a very crispy outside instead of soft. Ika- was not my favorite. The sauces it came with didn't taste very complimenting but I am used to a more vinegar based sauce eating squid. Three Little Pigs - very interesting and flavorful! The chicharron was delicious! We actually ordered an extra side to munch on. I think if they added that as a side dish with a little chilli flakes. Yummmm Meat and Green - the wagyu was so tender and the serving style was very cute and bite sized.

Yelp
I love the location! If you're going out in the heights after great spot to start at. Or if you're getting a car wash around the area. I'm not going to say it was the best sushi ever because I've had better. But the Waygu roll was honestly alright. It's spicy for sure but it just had so many flavors it was hard to enjoy. I'm sure if you don't mind both you'll enjoy it. I had the cucumber salad. Wish the pieces were smaller but overall very good. Had a crunchy bite and refreshing. And I tried the barracuda. 1/10. The ginger hit the top of my mouth and I literally went blind for 10 seconds. And the texture and flavor of the fish was just not to my liking. Don't be as adventurous as I was. I would come back if I wasn't paying.

Yelp
Ka is outstanding. Very fresh, great cuts of fish. The Rockefeller oysters are delicious for those who like grilled oysters . I ordered a bunch of nigiri and I savored each bite as much as I could.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday for lunch after craving sushi. Ka Sushi typically does not disappoint, and I knew it would be quality sushi. However, I was severely wrong. For starters, we were sat and our server did not greet us until 10 minutes later when a manager had to ask how we were doing. Afterwards, our server was diligent in serving us, and I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I got the Yakiniku lunch and assorted sashimi and nigiri combo. The salad and miso soup that came with the meals was extraordinary and honestly the only good part of the meal. The salad dressing is always vibrant and pairs nicely with the salad itself. The miso soup is smooth and packed with flavor. Onto the bad, the yakiniku was slightly overcooked and as a result was chewier than normal. The sushi was mediocre at best and was hard to get down. It didn't help that the soy sauce was severely lacking in flavor. It tasted like water with a drop of salt. The hot tea was also hard to drink as it lacked flavor. It seems like the quality of food has gone down severely, and I'm not sure if it is a one-time thing or if I just got unlucky. Will not be visiting again soon.

Yelp
KA sushi is a go to in the Heights. Unique menu, with plenty of options for raw or cooked. Even friends I have that are not savvy about sushi, love this place. The ambiance is very cool, and they have a great outdoor patio. The staff is always so welcoming and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
I went to ka sushi with my friends on a Saturday around 3:30-5pm. The restaurant was pretty empty but really nicely decorated. The menus were leather bound and nice. Our waiter was pretty good, and the bartender was really nice. The sushi was good, and the chicken karage was ok. I wasn't blown away by the food & my friends who love sushi wish they could taste the fish more. But overall it was a great experience! Note: the door was a little hard to open, just make sure to pull/push hard. Water rating: 6/10
google avatar

Sandra K.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and they open at 1130 but I was finished in thirty minutes. I got the churashi lunch bowl which was solid. Salad was pretty good and great dressing. However the soup was so so. It was hot with lots of tofu and seaweed but it didn't have the miso flavor and was missing salt. Overall fast service and everyone was really nice.

Yelp
Awesome place for happy hr . Never disappoints. Went there Friday evening happy hr , their grilled and raw oysters are the bomb. Exceptional service , good ambiance. They increased their rates since inflation but still a great place to enjoy good food with good service!

Yelp
Came for lunch on a weekday. Honestly pretty disappointed with the food. Service and interior are on par. The sashimi was hit and miss.. the sushi roll rice was atrocious; it was mushy and was honestly worse than HEB sushi. The apps were hit and miss as well. The most well received were the grilled beef tongue and grilled squid but others complained about how chewy they were. Chicken skewers were no bueno for me; seasoning was off and the outside of the meat was burnt black in some parts. Rolls: 1/5 Sashimi: 3/5 Apps: 2/5 With so many decent (although overpriced) options in the loop, you really can't get away with subpar and lazy sushi. If you are aiming for more of a fusion spot, Bluefish beats the food here hands down. For a more authentic, Japanese experience, there's too many to name.
google avatar

Jacob D.

Yelp
Ooof, the TL/DR here is to just find an alternative. Came here on a weekday lunch. Wasn't packed or anything, but I can imagine it feels really cramped when (and if) it gets busy here. Parking is fine too. Ordered a little sashimi, some nigiri, seasweed salad, miso soup, a couple rolls, whole grilled squid, a beef cheek skewer, chicken skewer, and mercifully that was all we tried. Can say I liked a single thing here, rice for the sushi was over cooked so it had a strange texture. Wasn't impressed with the fish. Rolls weren't very inspired or tasty. Skewers and Squid were overcooked too. I think the main thing here is that there isn't much pride or knowledge even in how to make a product that's worth coming back for. Any neighborhood strip center sushi joint could be here and you wouldn't know the difference. Recommend starting with the basics and paring back the menu and get just a few things right first.

Yelp
Overall: A great place with great food and service. I love trying new places in Houston and this place was hyped up by a friend and it did not disappoint. We were able to get a last minute reservation bc a group cancelled, and I am extremely thankful because the food was amazing! Ambience: I will say that when you are coming from the parking lot. I was a little skeptical, but once you walked in it was very aesthetically pleasing. In my honest opinion, they did such a great job with the place - utilizing space to occupy the most ppl while giving everyone enough room. Service: When we got in, we were immediately seated. Thanks to that reservation. Our server was such a joy and delight. She knew we came to eat, catch up, and just have fun! She checked in on us just the right amount of times! There was never a moment where we had to call her or wait for her. Food: Ugh! I wish I took more pictures of everything we had!!! I was so tired coming in from my flight plus I was like 4 shots of sake in lol so that's probably why I didn't remember haha. The presentation of the food was beautiful! I remember the table ordered a few appetizers twice because it was so good! I honestly can't tell you all we ordered, but I will say we were beyond satisfied by taste, texture, and portion size! I come to Houston often so I cannot wait to come here again! I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Walked in on a Friday afternoon around 3pm. Was greeted immediately and I was the only person there. I ordered the hamachi which was really good and shortly after finishing I noticed a roach crawling on the table. And then another bug floating in my drink. I asked for my tab and left without finishing. Would not go back.
google avatar

Tony V.

Yelp
Usually I'd try a place at least twice before reviewing them but once was it for me here. Grade of fish was meh (got the chirashi bowl) and not the best price to value standpoint. Great decor but other than that I'd rather drive 10-15 minutes to have +4 better sushi joints in that radius. Told our server I'd try the 6 piece Rockefeller oyster but got 12 tiny ones instead (got charged for it) but oh well. It'll be the last 50 bucks I spend there lol.
google avatar

Uyen V.

Yelp
Hubby kept seeing KA's happy hour promoted, so we decided to give it a try one early evening. We're glad we tried it, but we don't intend to go back (unless someone tells us the regular dinner menu is so much better. I feel like we tried everything the server recommended, and though the presentation was good, the food fell short for us. Out of everything we had, i liked the baisil tuna roll, the salmon tiradito, and the miso eggplant. Everything else was a bust, IMO. You might think you can't go wrong with Hamachi chili, since it's just yellow tail w/ ponzu and a slice of jalapeño, but it was sliced too thick, also, I wouldn't suggest the oysters, or if you do, ask if they have horse radish and cocktail sauce because that green sauce didn't go well with it. All just my opinion, but I feel like I have a very common/normal palette.
google avatar

Melissa H.

Yelp
Our server, Julio, was great. He had our drinks and food out promptly. We were very well cared for. Service gets 5 stars. The tiradito was my personal favorite. Yummm The old fashion = 5 stars. Excellent. I asked for it not to be too sweet and they obliged. Great job. We came for happy hour and were not disappointed. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze and ambiance. I only would like another option on the happy hour menu with a roll that has cream cheese. The available options were good. I think the rocksfeller oysters had too much bread crumbs but still delicious. Parking on a Wednesday at 6 is a breeze.

Lauren G.

Yelp
Came here for the lunch specials, and everything was very tasty! I ordered the classic roll combo ($14) and it came with a shrimp tempura roll, a California roll and a spicy salmon. I was slightly disappointed because but the California and spicy salmon only came with 4 pieces of each. It did come with a small salad and miso soup which was delicious! We also ordered the poke bowl with tuna ($14) and we thought about asking for extra sauce because it was a little dry. We also tried the miso eggplant ($7) which was thin and crispy so it was delicious and beautiful I might add. We sat outside because their outdoor patio is so cute but it was very loud from all the construction going on. Overall would come back maybe for HH!

Cordtedrick T.

Yelp
The sushi was perfect. The staff at the bar was so friendly and super nice. The oysters was ok. I loved the shrimp tempura and the drinks was fantastic.

Yelp
My go to sushi place in the Heights. I mainly come for the Deep sea roll (and the sake of course). This was the first place I had sushi when I initially moved to the city, so this restaurant will always hold a special place in my heart :) Happy eating everyone

Yelp
We were in the downtown area and were looking at sushi spots to go to. We found this place on Yelp, which wasn't too far from where we were. The place is clean and has good amount of seating. The servers had smart aprons on and were nice and friendly. We ordered their miso soup (one of the best ones we've had), miso eggplant, deep sea roll, yellow rose, spicy salmon, spicy edamame and their mocho ice cream. The spicy edamame had a very different taste and it takes a bit to grow on you. Their rolls were very fresh and that felt good. We really enjoyed their mocho ice cream especially their pistachio flavor.

Carla A.

Yelp
I'll give this place a strong OK. . .that's it. Nothing more. The menu is not as big as I thought. I even asked the waiter "Hey, can we get the rest of the menu?" He politely smiled and informed us "that's it"! LOL!! Oh, ok. I kept it basic and got the Shaggy Dog but my friend got something else and although we both enjoyed our sushi rolls, we did not get the OH EM GEE moment that we were waiting for. I heard about this place from some friends of mine and it did not WOW me at all. I'm open to coming back and trying something else on the menu but until then. . .meh.

Yelp
I've found another amazing sushi spot in Houston! I live around the Heights area, so this place was a pretty nice drive for me. This is definitely a place where you should be prepared to splurge a bit of money on, but it's definitely worth it. It has a bit of a slight upscale vibe with the dimmed lights and the presentation of the food, but I would say it's about between casual-upscale. This is what my friend and I ordered, that I highly recommend, with my personal rating: -hamachi chili crudo (4/5) -oyster rockefeller (5/5) -brussel sprouts (5/5) -yellow rose maki (5/5) -negi toro maki (5/5) Honestly, you can just feel the fish just melt in your mouth. It just tastes so fresh. My absolutely favorite out of everything that we ordered that I think is a must try when you come here is the negi toro maki. I'm honestly usually not a huge fan of tuna in general, but fatty tuna will make me drool for it. This is a great date night place or to catch up with a friend!
google avatar

Elissa S.

Yelp
I came here with my family for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! We tried a little of everything besides the wagyu and everything was delicious. We had the tori kawa (fried chicken skin) and brussels sprouts, both of which were delightful. Some oysters -- also good, very light on the palate. Pot of Gold and Shaggy roll, also delicious. Chef's choice nigiri, all stellar. I thought the ambiance was a little loud (the music they played over the speakers was a bit too loud, and not the best selection) and the other patrons of the restaurant were also noisy in the small space, but other than that, it was a really nice feel. Not too dark (could still read the menus after the sun went down), good service, friendly server. My sister says she comes here for lunch a lot and that it's one of her favorite places. It was her first time dining at dinnertime and the menu is slightly different so she couldn't get a few of the lunch items, but that's not a big deal.

Yelp
Everything was very delicious & flavorful especially the oysters. I will say the lychee martini was not was favorite it did not taste like your typical lychee martini. The server was very helpful and gave us great recommendations on other rolls.

Yelp
Went to this spot yesterday for lunch. honestly i was gpsing the smoothie king but then decided to give this place a try instead. i was in a big rush so i did appreciate them bringing food out fast. the quality of the food wasn't up to par with the prices they charge though. for example the uni tasted not so fresh, the maki was very oily.. hamachi nigiri was good tho. the place is spacious and I liked the back wall mural with the koi fish.. parking is easy. service is decent. overall it was an okay sushi spot but im not sure if id be back since everything was mediocre. and i love sushi so ive been to many sushi spots in houston, so compared to those, this place needs to up their quality if they want to charge thise prices.. i def been to better ones in similar price point for instance like kata robata.

Yelp
Dining at KA Sushi was an awesome experience. We had the basil tuna roll, miso eggplant, shishito peppers, shrimp scampi and chicken yakitori. Everything was unique and flavorful but the basil tuna and miso eggplant stood out above the rest. The service was great, attentive and friendly. We sat on the outdoor patio which was beautifully decorated and peaceful.

Yelp
Good, not great or mind-blowing. I was debating on 3 or 4 stars but decided to go with 4 because the service was wonderful. Our server was Tai/Thai. He explained everything on the menu- kitchen hot/cold appetizers, nigiri, sashimi and sushi rolls. He even made some recommendations on the popular dishes. The Food: Nigiri Sushi- Salmon, flounder, scallop, king oyster mushroom, snow crab and foie gras. All great quality! Faves: king oyster mushroom and foie gras. That fatty richness. MmMMmm. Sushi Roll- Caterpillar Roll (Eel, cucumber, avocado and eel sauce). Ehh, not my jam. It's a traditional roll found in most restaurants but there's no excitement to it. Kitchen- Three Little Pigs: Pork belly, bacon cream cheese, chicharrones and pickled onions. Overall, a decent dish. The pork belly had a nice flavor, but could be more tender. I didn't try the bacon cream cheese because bacon isn't my thang (I know, don't judge me!), but heard it was good. The pickled onions help balanced out heavy components in this dish. I was a lil disappointed they ran out of oysters as they look so dreamy in the pictures on Yelp. Drinks- Man! This is where I'd have to give 2 out of 5 stars. The Lychee Martini didn't have real lychees to dress it. I've never had a Lychee Martini without the lychees. After asking why all the pics on Yelp had lychees in them, I was told there was a new bartender......? I ordered an Old Fashioned (not pictured) with Toki Japanese Whiskey and it was super sweet. Not a fan of the cocktails here. :( All in all, a decent sushi place that will satisfy any sushi lover or newbie.

Yelp
Had dinner here a few weeks ago and it was the best sushi experience I've ever had! My cousin and I were both on cloud 9. Super fresh, high quality food. The ONLY item that was not great was the Ika (grilled squid), it was over cooked and tough. This isn't the sushi restaurant for a ton of basic sushi rolls, if that's what you're looking for. The restaurant itself is a smaller place. Simple, clean atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant.

Yelp
I really liked the vibe here! Sushi and oyster is my type of place. I will say I thought the place was a bit small . It has a little patio and the decor is nice . The food was very good but I do think it lacked a little salt. Bye the. Again a mix of wasabi and soy sauce and ginger helped once sushi was dipped. Service was very good. It was a solid 4 star experience

Yelp
Firstly, this venue is beautiful. Down to the aprons that the employees wore, everything is so perfectly put together. I'm in love with the front door even though it is extremely heavy But it is worth it every time. Secondly, the service itself hasn't failed me. I have only been there twice but each time, each server had been great. The first server we got was able to make some really good recommendations for us. We did not plan on coming here originally so we weren't prepared and we're a little overwhelmed. The second time we came, our server was the best! She was new and she was just as excited as we were to see how aesthetically pleasing each of our orders were! She made sure everything came out at a perfect pace for the space we had and had great timing with everything. We loved her! I'm terrible with names so I don't remember hers or else I'd mention it. Thirdly, the food and drinks!!!! Everything just melted and tasted so good!!! I love all the truffle, Wagyu, caviar options there were and how well it all blended with everything. Sometimes, those flavors can be overwhelming and you can't taste the protein or etc underneath them but they executed everything very well. This spot is perfect for a date day/night. Great feel, great service, and great food. Can't go wrong!

Yelp
Came for Thursday's oysters special. Although the Rockerfella oysters popped out. Decided to order those instead. Off the hook! Asked my waiter, Dennis if he can ask the chefs to add some soy tobiko to top my oysters. Not a fan of the beef tongue appetizer though. I couldn't stomach the taste. Had to bath it in soy sauce.

Yelp
Wonderful options and fantastic sushi. I'm late with my review and when that happens the menu sometimes changes but my memory was on how much me and the kiddo loved the Wagyu topped rolls and the seaweed salad; but no matter what you pick, you can't go wrong. We will def be back soon!

Yelp
Came here for social hour on a weekday and it was nice and quiet. Service was slow but friendly with great ambiance. Food was mediocre- not bad but nothing memorable. Cute decors and great presentation on the food. Rolls 3/5 ( rice was dry almost undercooked) Appertizers 5/5 ( Chicken karaage was so delicious) Miso Soup 4/5 ( Flavorful but it's served with imitated crab, not snow crab meat as listed on the menu ) Social hours' menu has a great variety of choices so it's a great time to try out this place, if you haven't. Will definitely be back to try more dishes like the bone marrow and hot rocks' dishes.
