Kabayan Filipino Store & Cafe in Preston, Dallas is my go‑to Filipino spot now that the other two nearby have closed. It’s clean, friendly, and unique—a combined grocery and café where you can buy staples like polvoron, rice crackers, suka, kakanin, and genuine Goldilocks treats, then dine on authentic Filipino dishes. The food is reliably delicious, portions are generous, and they even offer kakanin and party trays. Located conveniently next to LBC, it’s quick to run errands too. They sometimes host live music or karaoke in the evenings, which adds such a fun, community feel. I rate it 5 out of 5—can't recommend it enough!

Feels like home !! Great Filipino food, very good selection. Also, there's a mini grocery inside. Ordered Pancit (noodles), Halo-halo (Mix-Mix cold dessert) and rice with entre. The owners Chona and Piolo are very hospitable and always greets us whenever we go there. The staff are amazing.

Kabayan Dallas Filipino Store and Cafe serves up a variety of flavorful dishes that will satisfy your taste buds. The food, service, and atmosphere provide a comfortable spot to dine in or carry out. I recommend you try the pork BBQ on skewers, Batangas Lomi, Pancit Palabok and Turon. These selections were a personal favorite and will keep me coming back for more.

I ordered online from Kabayan Restaurant to avoid driving around Dallas and was excited to try their food. I got the sinigang and grilled pork belly. The sinigang was good and just the right amount of sourness. The grilled pork belly tasted great too, but I was disappointed that while the top part was perfectly cooked, the bottom part was completely burned and inedible. Another letdown was that there was no sauce that came with the grilled pork belly. I think these two should always go together since the sauce adds flavor and balance to the dish. I really hope they pay more attention to consistency and presentation next time. It’s important to monitor the grilling process and make sure to include the sauce. I’d love to keep coming back because the food tastes good, but they need to make sure the quality and details are on point every time.

Bicol express and lechón are my favorites Philippines’ dishes. The Bicol was full of umami, creamy. Service was very good too.

Food is delicious. I ordered some pork belly skewers so tasty. Some empanads pork and beef. I also had the red snapper. It was phenomenal. The only thing I did not like was the live karaoke. It was way too loud and way too early. I went at 11 a.m., and it was full blast. I could not hear my wife's conversation, and she was sitting across from me. Other than that, it's a nice place. Just be ready for loud music.

We stopped by around 11 am for an early lunch. It is a food joint as well as as a grocery story. Service was friendly. He explained to us the options. It was our first time trying Filipino food. We ordered two sides combo with rice. The meats was nice. Our kids asked why the rice was plain. The server told us that Filipino rice does have any added to it. In our culture we always put salt to the rice. So something new we learned. Nice place for a quick bite.
