New Orleans’s Best Halal-Friendly Restaurants | Eater New Orleans

"Kabob House came on the scene early in the pandemic; the Palestinian, family-run operation from the founder of Falafel King, which opened in 2015 and now operates under new ownership. Like Falafel King when it debuted, Kabob House is an exciting addition, made more so by its all-halal menu. Regular customers gather for traditional dishes, daily specials, and fresh desserts." - Beth D’Addono

New Orleans Chefs’ Favorite Restaurants | Eater New Orleans

"When chef Sophina Uong tears herself away from the always jammin’ Mister Mao, she’s not looking for fancy. “I live on Kabab House,” says the Cambodian-born chef, who loves her some shawarma and kofta kababs. Almasgoof is another Metairie Mediterranean haunt. Her go-to for Indian fare is Plume in Algiers Point, chef Tyler Stuart and Merritt Coscia’s hub for regional South Asian fare." - Beth D’Addono

Small restaurant where you order at a back counter, with adequate tables, but wow, I believe they serve the best Mediterranean food in the city. On our visit, we tried the Beef Schwarma and a Gyro Wrap, and both were quickly made to order and brought to our table. We also stocked up on Baklava treats, which they had a large, varied selection of. Have to say I was impressed with Kabob House. This is not a fancy sit-down restaurant, and there may be a small line at the counter to make your order, but their food is authentic and awesome!

Ran accross The Kabob House NOLA on a whim and had an incredible Mediterranean meal. Straightforward, counter-service option serving grilled kebabs, shawarma & Mediterranean platters. Highly reccomend The Kabob House NOLA and look forward to returning.

We have been here a few times and absolutely love the food. The food has never waivered in quality. The staff is friendly and portions are very generous for the price.

Delicious! I think this may some of the best Mediterranean I’ve had. Serious. When you’re looking for a little break from the abundance of Cajun fried food here, this is what you want! Pleasant staff, fast service and totally worth every penny.

Walked in hungry, left full and happy. The food was great and the young man at the counter was super nice and friendly. I had the gyro wrap and it was exactly what I was looking for. The establishment was well-lit, very clean and inviting. Not super crowded, so I decided to sit and eat. My food was brought to my table fast and still piping hot. I would definitely recommend Kabob House to anyone looking for some good, quick Mediterranean food.

Everything in this place is NICE 👉 From the food (I can vouch for everything that I tasted so far) to the incredibly patient and awesome staff. They deserve 10 stars because it feels like a home cooked meal and you are welcomed there like family. I don't usually review but Kabob House Nola deserve 5 star reviews. Give them a try and I'm pretty sure that you will leave a positive review as well! Thanks guys!!

Pictures speak for themselves. This place is undoubtedly home to the best food I’ve ever had! When I first walked in, I was a bit nervous, but the staff was incredibly welcoming. I ordered the special of the day, and from that moment on, I’ve been in love with this place. If you’re deciding between bland CAVA and this restaurant, don’t even hesitate—this is the real deal. It feels like eating authentic, home-cooked Mediterranean food.
