Yelp
Food: If you get a combo, you will receive an entree, rice, salad, a side and a piece of homemade bread. I got the boneless chicken kabob combo, which is one of my favorites to get. However, I recommend telling the cashier, "no salad", which will allow you to get another side dish as a substitute. Kabob Palace also has a long list of sides to choose from, such as potatoes, chickpeas, mixed vegetables, and more. My two favorite side dishes are the chickpeas and the lamb curry. The bread is freshly baked daily and is nice, fluffy, and great for "cleaning the plate." At around $15.00, the meal provides a great value proposition when taking into consideration the quality and quantity of the food.
Service: While their food is good, their customer service is shaky. I called once to place an online order and got hung up on for asking too many questions. I would love to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was an isolated incident. However, the majority of their lower-starred Yelp reviews also mention service issues and it doesn't appear that they were ever properly addressed by management.
Tips: If you're going to go to Kabob Palace, I would recommend going on a weekday. On the weekends, the restaurant is very packed and it is hard to find seating. There will usually be a long line of customers waiting to order, as well. For this reason, I recommend calling in your order ahead of time, but telling them you plan to dine-in. When you arrive, you can then just head to the order-pickup station and give them your order number, which will save you a lot of time. When it comes to parking, there is a CVS right next to Kabob Palace, which is going to be the most convenient place to park for free. Kabob Palace is also open 24/7, so they are also a good option if you are looking for a reasonably healthy meal after 12 AM.
Overall: Kabob Palace is arguably one of the best, authentic kabob places in the DMV and is definitely worth trying at least once.
