Got the food from this food truck located at Presidio San Francisco and it was spoiled.. falafel were so bad that they were forming long strings when separated in half.. We got multiple items and nothing tasted good except for fries. Never again! Hopefully I don't get food poisoning from this place. I wish I took a picture of the falafels..

Google
We hired Ghezal and her team to cater our wedding in Mill Valley and she and the gentlemen who was with her, did a fantastic job! The food was great, the expectations were clear, she provided exactly what was discussed, and most importantly everyone ate. If you're looking to feed a big crowd, send them home happy, and have a great time, hire Ghezal and her Kabob Trolley team !

Google
Great service, unfortunately got food poisoning from this food truck at OpenSauce 2024. It was the only thing I ate that day and within 2 hours my stomach was messed up for 5 days. I emailed the truck advising them and have not heard back. I do not have any food allergies.

Google
I ordered the beef/lamb gyro. I asked for light onions. So not a relevant request! The only question to be answered is spicy or not! This was a PERFECT gyro! This truck has ruined any other possibilities! The sauces were amazing. The pita so soft and fresh. The meat was fresh and tender. I will be back! Again and again! And again. Will be following on facebook! Oh and the veggies, perfect mix! You will not regret this experience!

Google
Very slow (5 people in line took ~15 minutes), fairly cheap, but you get what you pay for- my $9 (+$2 gluten free) lamb pita involved two very thin strips of beef/lamb, industrial-grade tomato and cucumber, and way too much fake tzatziki-type sauce (that was mostly emulsified oil). The cook used his spatula to press down the gluten-free pita onto the grill, so the outside was burned and in the inside was barely warm. The total thing weighed <6oz. Really not impressed. Had to go get other food, because ~450 kcal (as they proudly advertise, should have taken it seriously) will not keep me full. Go here if you're on a diet and have never had even slightly decent falafel/kebab/shawarma.

Google
Got a chicken gyritto it was probably the worst gyro/burrito I have ever had. The tortilla was doughy and undercooked so was the rice. There was barely any sauce and it was like eating dry dough.

Google
I love Kabob Trolley - if it's at the food truck park I can't help myself, I have to order from there! The staff is super efficient and warm - I think the woman who runs the place is so funny and sweet! Their food is delicious, and I especially recommend the spicy tzatziki.

Google
BEST GYROS IN THE BAY AREA. Love there full menu, something for the whole family. Hire them for your next catering event.

Yelp
If Kebab Trolley were the only middle eastern place in town, I might say this place was good as opposed to just okay/decent but when you live in Mountain View and have places like Dish'n'Dash and Falafel's Drive-In in the next town over, your standards are going to be high. I ordered the rice bowl with gyro as well as a side of falafel. Just to be clear, the food wasn't bad but there really wasn't anything special about the meal. I've mentioned this point in other reviews but if you are going to be a food truck that specializes in a few core items, I am going to expect a lot out of those said items. Since I can get top-notch gyro and falafel at other places, I am going to be a little picky. Again, a decent place if it were the only middle eastern place in town but otherwise not my favorite.

Wili G.

Yelp
I highly recommend this place, especially on Fridays and Sundays when they are at the Presidio tunnel tops park. I love their chicken kebab. It's tender and juicy. I highly recommend adding the fries. Add onto your rice bowls. And don't be scared spicy tzatziki is not that spicy

Yelp
Excellent food, very filling, very fast service, and super convenient. Hoping they come back to my office again so we can try the other menu options.

Vincent C.

Yelp
Tasty-yes However, i ordered a beef/lamb gyro and got chicken so I expect the reverse is also likely.

Yelp
I wanted to like this more than I did. The food was good and I got the spicy sauce, but it was spice and not flavor. I was expecting the sauce to have something like a harissa flavor, a bold sharp flavor, however, it didn't have that. I have to say that the gluten-free pita/bread was the best I've ever tasted. The chicken was cooked well but the chunks were bigger than I expected. And this filled me up for sure, I just wish that I had a better flavor as it was doing so. The truck took a while to get the food together and that's not a problem. But after such a wait, the food was a disappointment. The fact that the best thing I had was the gluten free flat bread is not good. They need a sauce with flavor and heat. That would elevate the experience a great deal for me.

Yelp
This review is for the mobile food truck for Kabob Trolley, as they do not have a brick and mortar restaurant, nor a regular fixed location for their food truck. Rather they serve up their Mediterranean and halal specialties throughout the SF bay area, including Alameda county. I've visited Kabob Trolley two years in a row at SF's annual Comedy Day event in Golden Gate Park, and was there just this past weekend.  The food here is pretty good. They stuff their gyros and gyrritos with beef/lamb, veggies, and all the fixings, so you can barely hold it together while you eat. Yes, I have to use a fork and knife while eating the gyro, to avoid spilling the ingredients all over. But it's a good problem to have, as there's plenty of toppings to fill you up, so much flavor, and everything tastes fresh, with a warm fluffy pita bun holding it together. The staff here is friendly, and the service is reliable and efficient overall. There's nothing that really stands out from other similar restaurants or food trucks (besides the enormous portions for the filling), but there's a lot to like about this place.

Yelp
Date: 9/10/2022 Time: 2:00 PM 72° Overcast The weather has cooled down to a temperature that I am comfortable. The Kabob Trolley food truck was at the Lake Merritt BART's 50th anniversary celebration. There were at least four food trucks at this event. I wanted something quick to eat and the shortest line was this one. The three sliders at $13.00 (excluding tax) were what I ordered. Wow! The service was quick for them. In less than five minutes, my sliders were ready for consumption. They were filling, quite good and loaded with plenty of grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, pickle and topped with a white sauce. Value of the sliders: good. Enough to feed two people with small appetite. The next time I see this food truck I will be ordering falafel and their rice bowl. Rating: 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Yelp
Quick service food truck. They were in Alameda's Off the Grid today (Saturday), so I ordered their 3 sliders with chicken kabob as my choice of protein ($13). You can also get falafel or gyro meat inside, but you can't combine or do a mix and match for the 3 sliders. I was told only 1 choice of protein for that order. The sliders came with melted cheese, iceberg lettuce, onion, and tomato, on egg buns. The chicken kabob was not dry and there were about 2 kabob pieces in each of the 3 sliders. I'd be curious to try their other dishes the next time I run into them, as prices are reasonable.

Yelp
I saw them in a group of food trucks on the Presidio Tunnel Tops, so I decided to order the hella fries with falafel, regular tzatziki sauce. They have other options such as in a wrap or with rice, although it looks like from the menu, the stuff inside would still be pretty much the same. The fries themselves are pretty good, seasoned and crispy. The falafels were also nice, crispy on the outside and they gave me 4 of them total, which mostly were stuck together. The salad part, containing lettuce, tomato, and cabbage, was the plainest and least interesting to me. There were only a few pieces of fried green beans and I thought the onions could've been grilled more. Next time I would probably opt for hummus instead of tzatziki sauce since I find the tzatziki doesn't add much in flavor (though they have a spicy version available as well). I did think the quantity was alright, taking into account high prices for food truck food.

Yelp
Went to the Summer Bash at SF Moma and Kabob Trolley was one of the off the grid food trucks. We had the hella fries and their fresh juice drink. They take orders, make orders, give out orders, and then take more orders. The hella fries had a choice of protein. They ran out of chicken, not that I would have ordered the chicken. The seasoned meat was lamb & beef, over skinny French fries, with grilled onions, chopped lettuce, tomato, peppers, & cucumbers with sauce. Great appetizer or snack. Great to try out. It's good but I would probably look for other options. Juice was original and had lots of flavors. I would have preferred something more thirst quenching and colder.

Yelp
These Gyros are fire!! If you have not been adventurous or haven't had decent Afghan food, trust me when I say you need to try this place! The Pita bread is so soft, the meat is cooked perfectly that it melts in your mouth. The spicy sauce is a must try! My kids love it and they are starting to eat spicy. It's all put together deliciously. Super friendly staff and so humble. He remembered us from a month ago and thanked us for coming back! Please support local vendors!

Yelp
I had the beef and lamb gyro wrap with spicy tatziki and it was amazing. They did not skimp on the meat, veg, or sauce. The spicy tatziki had a nice kick but wasn't too spicy. Just the perfect flavor combo!

Akbar S.

Yelp
I ordered the beef/lamb gyro wrap and it was absolutely delicious. The tender meat, fresh vegetables, and flavorful sauce created a mouthwatering combination. The service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!

Yelp
COVID-19 Update: This place hit the spot! They were recently in Emeryville on Bay St, which is a great location for folks walking the area and shopping. Their meat is Halal, which is amazing for those with dietary restrictions. They do change locations so you should follow them on Social Media to tune into where they will be on any given day. I highly recommend getting their Combo over Rice and requesting it to be spicy. The chunks of meat are pretty generous, and the food is delicious. My wife tried the Gyrito, which is basically a Gyro/Burrito and that also was pretty good. If you haven't given them a try, I highly recommend it.

Yasir W.

Yelp
Chicken kabob is so flavorful - love their healthier food options. Their Falafels are to die for, haven't had a falafel that can beat theirs. Cant go wrong with ordering chicken over rice or their sliders. Or better yet get a plate & a slider ;-) Go spicy tzatziki
google avatar

Linda O.

Yelp
Might be the worst food truck I've ever had. The meat was old. The produce was limp and stunk. If I hadn't left the site I would have returned it. Do not go there.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
My chicken gyro was fresh but fairly flavorless, basically a grilled chicken, lettuce, and tomato with a sauce that just tasted like yogurt and no other flavor. French fries were good.
google avatar

Kayhan S.

Yelp
If you're looking to enrich your taste buds and satisfy your hungry, look no further because Kabob Trolley delivers! Not only is the food authentically Halal which you know is high quality but the menu selection and service are outstanding. I've been to the truck in several locations, their main location at Off The Grid and most recently at Folsom St. Fair at Folsom, and the Midway at the dog patch. Check it out and enjoy the rich flavors!
google avatar

Twanda R.

Yelp
Love their new menu, quick & easy to order. Prices have gone up, but can you blame them? Groceries are not cheap anymore. Their new prices are still affordable compared others. This is my go to spot when I am traveling to CA. Take it from a Nyer, their Gyro's hit the spot. Check in on Yelp and you get a free add-on of Fries.
google avatar

Ben M.

Yelp
Not super fast, but what food truck is super fast? And ypu can't rush quality can you? The food, not a bad value but not the best either. The food i had was totally delicious. I would definitely go back for more. I had 3 of the 4 sliders, tri tip, gyro and chicken. The chicken was the best. The sliders seem to take longer than everything else.
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
The gyro is pretty mediocre but the falafel is awesome. Hence, by averaging, this place gets a middling 3-star. Also, I don't understand why it's call the Kaböb Trölley when it doesn't serve any kabobs (just gyro). Beef/Lamb Gyro: One of the biggest flaws of gyros on the West Coast seems to be that the meat is finished on a griddle instead of on the spit. This makes the meat greasier since heating it up releases fat; on the spit that fat just falls off but on the griddle gets all over the meat. Additionally, gyro meat seared on the spit has one side really crispy and one side softer; that delicate texture contrast doesn't happen when cooked from the griddle. Besides the meat not having the proper on-the-spit searing, the fillings just didn't work. Pickled peppers and raw string beans were just weird and didn't pair well. Falafels: These were actually amazing. Lots of sesame seeds so the exterior had a pleasant toasted sesame taste. The texture was on point. Perfectly crispy outer shell and soft inside. And the mouthfeel wasn't too smooth nor too grainy.

Yelp
Food was amazing! And they accommodated a large business order. great service, great experience!
google avatar

Farzan S.

Yelp
The food, the service, and the overall quality is by far what makes this food truck so special. I'm a big fan and frequent returning customer. Keep it up!
google avatar

Suzette D.

Yelp
This food is great! They have a nice variety of offerings. They havefresh veggies and protein, with a great sauce, in a compostable container. The service was friendly and efficient. I really liked doing business with them. I hope I see them again at Oakland First Fridays, next month!
google avatar

Garry H.

Yelp
This has always been my favorite food truck when it's at Spark Social, however, today something was off. The fries were cold and stale tasting and the chicken cheese steak sandwich lacked flavor and the bread seemed to have changed. Hopefully it's a one off, but this experience makes me not want to go back.
google avatar

Misha T.

Yelp
Caught them at civic and thought the gyrrito was pretty decent. The meat has good texture but I think they could do a better job of wrapping it in such a way that some bites aren't all meat and others aren't all rice. Also, the rice was a tad undercooked. But you certainly can't argue with the portion size. I was full after about half and saved the rest for an afternoon pick-me-up. If you're susceptible to the itis, i suggest you do the same.
google avatar

Kari C.

Yelp
We caught the Kabob Trolley during the Off The Grid in Pleasanton. The wait for the food was atrocious and they lost one customer's order, so they get dinged a star. However, the lamb gyro I got was incredibly delish! Maybe I was just starving from waiting so long, lol! To be fair, they did get a ridiculously large order right before and they do assemble them after you order. The gyro wrap was very tender with a crisp exterior. Quite satisfying! Their gyro meat was nicely grilled and juicy. Great, umami flavor. I really liked their yogurt sauce...not too tangy, not too mild. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy. A nice change of pace from the usual greasy food truck fare.
google avatar

Lorraine L.

Yelp
One of the best spots for lunch, take it from me. From the friendly staff, to the fun exciting menu, to the smell of beef and lamb cooking. Kabob trolley has what your looking for. I was worried i wouldn't find any halal food. As that is very important to me, and i stumbled upon kabob trolley. Their menu is very simple making it easy to find what you want and try everything. My go to is the beef and lamb gyro. Spicy with extra homemade tzaziki sauce. I have their falafel balls as well, one of the best in the city. Pleeeeease check them out! Ask for the GYRRITO.
google avatar

Ankhbayar B.

Yelp
The food is mediocre at best. The price is decent but that doesn't mean the food has to be compromised. Very thin slices of meat that tastes more like a local grocery store frozen meatball.
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
Great gyro meats-- salty but not too much, complement the rice and pita well. I wish the sauce were self-served so I could add more to my rice plate. I asked for spicy and the creamy sauce they gave me wasn't spicy at all. Nice refreshing salad on the side was a nice touch.
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
Pretty good Gyros/Mediterranean food for a food truck. I ordered the Gyritto. It is a combination of a Gyro and a burrito. It was pretty tasty. I got it cali style with fries inside. I opted for the spicy sauce. It was a good choice The price was fair. $13 for the burrito. $2 more for the fries. I left satisfied for what I got. It did take a really long time to order and get my food, but it's understandable with only 2 ladies working the kitchen.

Aris M.

Yelp
This spot definitely got falafel with flavor and their green sauce that comes with it , gives it an amazing taste. I had gotten it in a sandwich. Bang bang !
google avatar

Jude D.

Yelp
When this food truck is near my office, my coworkers and I mark it on our calendars to go. It is delicious, and their gyrrito is one of a kind. (That is literally a gyro burrito.) Get it with fries inside, and use the spicy taziki if you like a little spice.
google avatar

perry a.

Yelp
First time. Menu was inticing. Ordered the 3 Sliders. Choice of meat, asked her to give me what she likes, beef, lamb and chicken...and just the right amount of spice. Outstanding construction of the sliders with fired onion, tomato, and a sauce that was perfect! Price right @$11 for 3. Excellent!
google avatar

Serena L.

Yelp
I've ordered from this truck twice at Spark SF food park. I was really hoping that the second time would be better than the first time but sadly it was not. Both times I ordered the chicken Gyrrito. In the photo, it comes with two types of sauce. Both times the Gyrrito did not come with any sauce. The second time, I asked for sauce and received a container with 1/2 tablespoon of green sauce. The server seemed very hesitant to give me the sauce. It was enough for two bites. Also, they didn't have any napkins. Seriously? Overall the food was lacking. It was 75% rice, mixed in with a few pieces of chicken and some oversized slices of tomato. It was dry and lacking in flavor. It was so dry in fact, the wrap fell apart when you unwrapped the foil. Luckily my husband ordered some noodles from another truck that were delish. Service was also mediocre. When I stepped up to the window to order, the lady just said, "Yes?" Blah
google avatar

Alexander G.

Yelp
I had the lamb/beef kabob. The meat was tasty, the lettuce and veggies were crisp and fresh. Decent size. Was very satisfying especially after a long day. Would recommend.
google avatar

Jie L.

Yelp
I am normally not a Greek food fan, but this place have changed my mind. Their pita bread is nice and soft, gyro is on point, and their sauce! Make sure to get extra because it's just that good!
google avatar

Lolia S.

Yelp
Awww, the cute Gyro & Cheesesteak Trolley looks like a SF cable car and it serves up gyros and falafel. They have beef/lamb or chicken gyros and falafel that you can get in a pita ($7), cheesesteaks made with kabobs ($8-$10) and gyro salads ($8). All the meat is halal and it's grilled to order. * Gyro salad ($8): warm thin slices of spiced beef/lamb gyros, chopped lettuce, chopped tomatoes, grilled onions, cucumbers topped with creamy, homemade spicy tzatziki...it's certainly a yummy salad, the meat is spiced right and very tender, there's a ton of sauce - tzatziki and a creamy cilantro sauce too...while the sauces were delicious, there was so much of them that the salad didn't feel as healthy as it could have been. I would have liked more lettuce and less sauce. The Gyro & Cheesecake Trolley is usually parked on King St. by AT&T Park but it also moves around. I found it at SoMa StrEat Food Park.
google avatar

Angela D.

Yelp
Had the cheese steak sandwich today because they stopped at SFGH for lunch, brilliant by the way because every hospital employee was in line for good food. Definitely did not disappoint the sandwich was amazing, got it spicey which was the perfect amount of heat. Come back to SFGH soon!

Nick G.

Yelp
My favorite kebab place in the bay. Incredible food and service at absolutely stellar prices.

Mustafa H.

Yelp
I've been to this Kabob Trolley as well as many others in SF & this is my absolute favorite. They use amazing ingredients and the food is perfect for anybody who is trying to watch their health. In addition, the flavor and texture of the food is off the charts. Prices are fair too. If you need a quick bite, come here on your lunch break. The staff also is really friendly. One time I overpaid for my food and one of the cashiers walked over to me a few minutes later and gave me back the extra cash. They're really honest, good at what they do, and the food is to die for. Give it a try.

Sabre D.

Yelp
I have tried the entire menu now and it is amazing! I love this truck and can not get enough of their "Hella Fries" or their Gyro. Boyfriend tried to get us to share the gyrrito and then wouldn't give it up! Went back for the sliders and he tried to steal one of those too. Fantastic food and always friendly service.
google avatar

Kris C.

Yelp
Tried this food truck at a Spark Social event. After walking around all the food trucks and being indecisive, my friend and I finally settled upon this one. We wanted to try something new and got a chicken kabob gyrrito. When I looked up the types of food trucks attending the event, I was lowkey excited to get a kabob, but I guess the kabob is in the form of a burrito or rice bowl instead. Not complaining though :). The gyrrito was very colorful and packed with different types of vegetables. It also came with this yummy yogurt sauce that I slathered throughout my burrito. An interesting take on the typical burrito!
google avatar

Christina T.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to trying the Kabob Trolley because of all the great reviews, and I'm a big fan of anything falafel. I ordered the falafel salad and the dish looks delicious, but unfortunately it looks better than it tastes. It looks like they give enough tzatziki sauce, but it dries on the falafel, and definitely not enough to cover the salad underneath. I was only able to eat about a quarter of the lettuce, otherwise I was eating a dry salad. The tomatoes hardly had any red color to them, and they had no taste. The cucumbers and green beans were nice and crispy though. The falafel itself was ok, not great but not bad either. They weren't that warm and got cold quickly. The pita was a little stale , and not as soft as I'd hoped. My fiancé got the gyro with fries and spicy tzatziki sauce, and the meat definitely had more flavor than the falafel. I'd try his dish next time and ask for more tzatziki.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
I had the cheesesteak sandwich and it was really nothing like a cheesesteak. The meat to bread ratio was way off. Not much meat and too much bun. It was edible, but mostly bread. Fries were OK
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
I found this truck in SF and absolutely love their gyros! It was heavenly and their tzatziki was really delicious and gave it a lovely freshness. The falafel were very spicy so I probably wouldn't order those again, I wish I had been given a bit of warning as i have bad reflux but it was still good, I dipped it my homemade hummus and it helped quell the heat. It was a bit surprising that they didn't have any kabobs at all, just gyros and falafel from what I saw. Hmmm... A kabob or Kofta would be great as an addition to their menu. I will definitely stop in for a gyro if I'm in the area and they are as well.
google avatar

Melissa H.

Yelp
We usually catch the kabob trolley at Streat Food park in the SOMA, and everything we've had has been delicious! I love their falafel. It very moist and flavorful. The pita is also very fresh and gets toasted on the grill, which makes it extra tasty. My boyfriend always orders the lamb and beef gyro. He says the same thing about the meat that I say about the falafel, it is flavorful and not dry. Also, the tsatziki is excellent, so order extra!
google avatar

Yelp
Well I was roaming around the streets of San Francisco to get away from my small hotel room guess what I ran into today? Grand opened today, one of a kind addition to the unique feel San Francisco has! The gyro (Pronounced: year-oh) is amazing, you can really taste the meat. I got extra tzatsiki on the side and I usually use it as a dipping sauce, who doesn't enjoy tzatsiki sauce on tzatsiki sauce! The people that were running it were pretty down to earth and funny for bunch of San Franciscoians. Anyways, if you want to have that delicious quick bite to eat on a New York minute (yes, born & raised from the land of delicious pizzas and gyros), stop by the Kabob Trolley and check them out.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing GYRO. It was so delicious and that white sauce it comes with is out of this world. The touch of veggies was surprising, loved the green bean touch. Had a bite of my friends GYRO FRIES and woah it was YUMMY! Can't wait to have some more at the Soma Food Park! Oh and the crew working there you'll love their smiles. Thanks guys
