Sisters of the Road Cafe Has Bought an Iconic Chinatown Restaurant Space | Eater Portland

"Lauded Eastern European restaurant Kachka, from Bonnie and Israel Morales, will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2024 and is marking the milestone early with the Roots & Wings dinner series launching July 19. I describe the series as a monthly program running through the restaurant’s April 2024 anniversary that both reflects on Kachka’s history and explores the future of the restaurant through cuisines of the former Soviet republics, with themed dinners such as “Sasha’s Dacha” (a Belarusian menu), “Lavash & Co.” (an exploration of Armenian cuisine inspired by the flatbread), and “Tsarist Feast” (an immersion into pre-revolutionary Russian traditions); tickets are priced at $110 per person, include a welcome toast, and are available through Tock." - Janey Wong

"With its less-expensive sister restaurant temporarily closed for repairs, the Russian destination Kachka is offering a late-night happy hour inspired by Kachinka from 10 p.m. to midnight Thursdays through Saturdays, where visitors can get $9 bowls of dumplings, $6 Moscow Mules, shot-and-a-beer specials involving Kachka’s famous infused vodkas, and inventive snacks like the “Vladimir Poutine” and the Red October meatball sub." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

This is a small coffee shop just outside the main tourist area near old town Lyon. The shop worker was really lovely to speak to and offered his art on the walls. The mocha we got was really unique, fruity, medium bodied and a rich taste. Cute decor! Thank you!

I have tried a lot of places in Lyon for specialty coffee espresso. This was the best, period. Excellent coffee, great staff, I took beans for back home also. The owner is a very friendly, sociable guy. Highly recommend.

Kachka brings an artistic flair to the coffee scene in Lyon with its innovative café-gallery concept, crafted by Haider Wady and local roaster Elias Sfeir. Exceptional coffee, fantastic vibes, and welcoming faces make it a definite must-visit in Lyon!

Great coffee and a very friendly owner. The tomato cookie (I know, sounds weird, right??!) is amazing!

Wonderful little place not far from the fine art museum. Beautiful interior and friendly service from the owner. He even helped me with my terrible French!
