My first time actually getting food from here to go. Nice restaurant and ambience. They have dessert that will make your mouth water. The gyro is huge and delicious. I got a gyro with fries for dinner and a gyro platter with the salad for lunch at work the following day.

We got takeout, for Mediterranean establishment the menu was average at best. Service was very friendly and fast with the order. I was just expecting more variety for the area. I do like the plaza this place is located offer free and convenient parking.

This place have great services and have the best coffee. The food is delicious. The desserts are also tasty. Update: Visited recently and did I missed this so much! I relocated to the other side of town so it’s a bit difficult to visit as frequently as I did in the past. As always, everything was amazing and very delicious. The staff continues to be friendly and kind. You can visit with family and friends. The coffee is GREAT!

A weekday evening discovery that shall remain on the favorites list forever. Amazing Greek food, fresh flavors and no nonsense service. Where was I, missing this place for so long?

I love coming here because the food is great (who doesn't like fresh Greek food?), the decor is awesome (you get to see a glimpse into the family history), and the service is friendly. As a matter of fact, the people who work here are not miserable and it shows in the food and service. Oh yeah, they also have alcohol, so you can have a beer with your gyro.

Good for a quick bite of Greek food. We ordered 2 salads: Greek salad with chicken, Village salad with gyro meat. We also ordered a gyro platter with rice & side salad, & a chicken platter with potatoes & side salads. All the salads were fresh & delicious with light dressings. The potatoes were a favorite. The chicken was average. The gyro meat was good, thick cuts. The Tzatziki sauce was very good, just need more of it. Love the Arden’s Garden juices. Located in Avondale Estates area.

Came to try after driving past so many times. I stopped in and ordered the standard gyro wrap, which came with a side. I chose the rice pilaf. The portion size was great for the price. FYI, they also do breakfast if youre interested. Service was very hospitable, and the dining area looked cozy. Parking is on the street adjacent, but spots might be minimal. I'll be back for more.

Whoa, so fresh! I came here after reading the owner’s response to a disgruntled customer - and I’m so glad I did! I order the Greek salad with chicken, an extra side of tzatziki and pita, and a glass of wine, all for $25 before tip. All delicious. I’ll be back!

Located @ 2700 College Avenue Decatur, Georgia 30030 Today I ordered the Gyro Wrap with french fries. Delicious as usual and cooked to order. Misa placed my order and she provided excellent customer service with a smile. Misa, suggested serval options to add to my wrap. Some at an additional charge. The ambiance was slow with a few customers dining in and to go orders rushing out the door. Without question is you're looking for a delicious Gyro, checkout this place. It's was the customer service and delicious meal for me.

I stopped by here for a late lunch mid-week, and I think I found our new spot when out in Avondale Estates! Guests can order at the counter and sit while waiting for their food to be made. Reasonably priced, we opted for the gyro wrap with a side. I got the cucumber and tomato salad while my spouse upgraded to greek potatoes. I got his tzatziki on the side and took it home for my lunch bowls this week! The meat was charred well and had a nice flavor to it, the fresh veggies inside and warm wrap made this sandwich a 10/10. The restaurant wrapped the sandwich well so nothing fell out and my hands didn't get too messy. I will absolutely come back and next time try a dessert too!

Real nice restaurant and ambience. I came here on 7/31/2025. I came here the other day when the other restaurant I visited wasn't open yet. The last time I came here they just had closed for the day. Today the same restaurant I went to visit first was just done for the day so Im back here for the second time. Greek restaurant with the goods! I got a gyro with the fries for dinner yesterday and I got a gyro platter for lunch at work the following day it came with a great salad! They have dessert that will make your mouth water. I've been in the gym doing my cardio and trying to stay off of sugar. The food is delicious the gyro is huge!

The food was decent, there was nothing special about it. I was expecting shaved lamb meat, I thought gyros had shaved lamb, but the meat was pretty thick and a bit tough. There wasn't a lot of meat on the sandwich either. I also ordered the side Greek salad but was taken aback by the dressing. I'm used to a creamy, "Greek" dressing, and not one that looks like thick balsamic dressing. It was so thick I could barely get it out of the container. Grecian Gyro is much better.

Super good and super fast! I stopped by for a quick bite and was blown away. The gyro was packed with flavor, the meat was juicy, and the pita was perfectly warm. Service was friendly and quick--got my order in just a few minutes. Great spot if you're craving something tasty without the wait. Definitely coming back soon!

We order this delivery from this place often and it's usually pretty good. The gyros are very tasty and the bread is soft. Their potatoes are a must.

Came here with a friend for a quick lunch and it was so good. Perfect meal before our walk. We honestly didn't know what to expect as we just found it randomly. I got the gyro wrap with the greek salad and she got the chicken wrap with fries. The wrap was so yummy! The tsaziki sauce was present with every bite. The salad was way more than I expected but also yummy! I tried her fries and they were actually crispy and tasted fresh. Definitely check out this place if you're in the area!

Was in the area and was craving some Greek food. Decided to try Kafenio for the first time and I'm already thinking about my next visit. My friend and I both got gyros and they did not disappoint. Great portion sizes and the flavors were spot on. I got fries on the side and I have no complaints- hot, crispy, and well seasoned. The vibe is casual and staff is friendly. Makes a perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or dinner with friends.

Our go to Greek place, fast casual. The portion sizes are large. We usually get the chicken or falafel wrap and the flavor is so good! We usually upgrade to the side of Greek potatoes! Service is fast and you order at the front and they bring your food to your seat.

We regularly stop in here because the food is always good and the service is great. They have a nice breakfast selection. The French toast serving is big and cooked to perfection. But we usually stop in for lunch, and my go-to is the lamb burger. But heads up, tell them to go easy on the red onion because they usually go heavy on it (unless you really like them). They also have the best cannolis! The restaurant is always clean and so are the bathrooms. Parking can be tight in the lot next to the building.

I went to Kafenio in a good mood and this instantly changed. While ordering, I was asked by Joe if I wanted utinsils and I stated yes. One of my orders was a wrap. When I got it, I asked if there were utensils in it because I did not feel any. She proceeded to tell me it was a wrap and didn't know I needed it.... What is she? The utensil police?? Then I was standing up (said nothing to this person). She proceeded to start fussing at me saying she promises she will get me my food and that I can sit down. At this point what is wrong with her? Because she doesn't control if I sit or stand. I asked her if I was bothering her, and she said no but she feels rushed. So I politely told her to stop talking to me and she walked away Customer service was trash to say the least and I won't be back. And her name is Joe. She clearly doesn't need to be in the front.

If you love Greek food, this place can definitely hit the spot! Good prices, flavorful food, great service but sometimes the parking lot can get full due to the other businesses and apartments. Just be aware!

Not great, soggy vegetables and gave me a stomachache. Not the authentic Greek food I was looking for.

Stopped by for lunch while visiting the area. My wife got a Greek salad and I ordered a gyro. Food was delicious. My wife stole several bites of my gyro. 10/10 would come back again!

I usually make my own French toast but I decided to order some made to order. Ohhh my goodness, this French toast was amazing. I ordered online and it was ready when I arrived. It was mouth watering and absolutely delicious! The cafe has a chill vibe and the employees are very nice. I usually order a Greek salad but I'm glad I ate breakfast because it's just as fresh and delicious as lunch or dinner.

This place is consistently great. The staff is really friendly and polite. The bathrooms are clean. Great vegetarian options. The salads are always fresh and the hummus is a hit!

We had a gyro and chicken wrap with the tomato and cucumber salad to go. The salad was good; however some of the tomato's were mushy (not fresh); all of the cucumbers were very fresh and crispy. The wraps were very tasty and loaded with meat. The chicken was delicious! I got a glutton free "pita" but it looked more like a flour tortilla, especially when compared to the gyro pita. I would definitely order from Kafenio Avondale again.

Food very good. Hot and delicious. Greek coffee good. Service was quick. Employees very helpful and friendly. We had the sampler and a gyro platter with fries. So good! We will be back. Just a laid back, friendly place to enjoy good people and good food. Kiona was exceptionally helpful in making our visit outstanding.

I'm so glad to have found this cute little Greek spot in Avondale Estates. During my bi-weekly visit to Atlanta, I always stop to get lunch before my 2-hour drive home. Luckily, Kafenio is en route and has a user-friendly website that you can order from. You can find parking on the side in front of the Willis Apartments. There are designated retail parking spots. The restaurant has a charming feel to it, nice place to take a date. There is outdoor seating available as well. When I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff, I gave them my name for my to go order, and they handed me my food. My order consisted of the Greek salad, a chicken Gyro, and Greek potatoes. Typically, Greek salads come with Greek dressing, but they offer 5 optional dressings, so I chose the Greek lemon. I was under impressed with the salad, the dressing wasn't good and everything was cut way too big for my liking. I definitely would not recommend the Greek salad. The gyro was very good, the chicken was flavorful, and all the toppings were fresh and tasty. The greek potatoes just tasted like fried potato wedges , didn't taste like the greek potatoes I'm accustomed to with the lemon undertone, but they were still very good. The portions are huge, and I was full after a few bites. Kafenio is a great lunch spot. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a try.

Just horrible!I've had better Gyros from my favorite Chinese takeout,Greek potatoes greasy and cold,tsaziki tasted sour and lacked flavor,where's the dill?

. An average place, I ordered a burger, it was decent. The service is ok and no ambiance, quick bite and go.

Overall ok and a good spot to grab some Greek food if you are in the area. I had high hopes based on the ratings, but it was just ok. The chicken pita was pretty good, but there just wasn't that much flavor. The fries had a weird aftertaste, I'm guessing from the oil. They did have a nice selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (I was happy to see some local kombucha available.)

Falafel plate w/ Greek potatoes: falafels were good but salad was too salty and potatoes tasted greasy, no lemony flavor. Gyro plate was not that good either: did not taste fresh. Acai drink from the fountain was way too sweet and little else. Service was ok: you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Prices on the high side.

Yummy. I don't go to Kafenio enough! But the times I've been everything has been wonderful. This morning I got the Athena breakfast sandwich. It's egg, green bell pepper, crumbled feta, spinach, tomato, and red onion on your choice of bread. I got a biscuit :). Their biscuits are on point! They open at 9 so you can't get it super early but it's worth waiting for. The service is quick and the inside is clean and bright.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by amazing smells. The staff was really friendly and answered our questions. My husband and I shared a classic gyro, French fries, a side of Greek potatoes, and a slice of baklava cheesecake. The portions were big, everything was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The decorations were also very cute. We will definitely come back if we're back in town.

I was in Greece last summer, and was thrilled to find such an authentic Greek spot within walking distance of my home. I appreciate that I can have beer or cider with my diner- or tea, soda, local kombucha. It has been a fool-proof restaurant to take friends / family. It's also one of the few places where I will eat meat, because I can't resist a good gyro. (Same for my husband.) But the falafel is good as well. I highly recommend paying the small upcharge for the Greek potatoes- they are perfectly cooked: crisp on the outside, well-spiced, fresh & not greasy. They serve breakfast all day. Nicely laid out restaurant with family photos, and spacious booths. The staff are friendly, service is fast and helpful- a neighborhood treasure. I have to admit that the dolmades & baklava are just okay, which is disappointing given the quality of the fresh cooked meals on the menu. (My grandmother was Greek- I grew up eating both.)

I've been here several times, primarily for takeout, although I did eat outside once for a late Saturday brunch. Sadly I don't have any pics since it's usually takeout. I have always had pleasant service every time I've been here and I love the food. I usually order the gyro platter because I like that it comes with a side salad and I prefer to have the Greek potatoes instead of the rice pilaf. Whenever I order the platter, it's usually enough for two meals. I have also had the gyro sandwich which is also very good. The platter goes longer, so I prefer to order it. The baklava is fresh and tasty. And they have very strong coffee if you're there for brunch. One day I'm going to order the baklava cheesecake. It looks so good in the display case, but I haven't tried it yet.

This place had always caught my eye when driving down College Ave, so Monday both my sweetheart and I happened to be off work and decided to try it out. First of, breakfast all day? I'm down. We were not disappointed. Disclaimer: I did not try their coffees. Maybe next time. We had the meat lovers omelette with gyro meat, and added spinach and onions, and the chicken, spinach, and feta omelette, sub the chicken for gyro. Both were excellent and so massive I had enough for a second breakfast! The sides were crispy hash browns and a biscuit on both. I loved the gyro meat, very flavorful and tender. If I had one thing to pick on is that the omelettes were a little greasy. I think it's because lamb can be fatty, but I've had gyro meat that is not greasy like that. Other than that, loved it and want to go back to try other things.

This was a recommendation from a former EMPLOYEE, and baybeeeeee... I was so pleased with this choice. 5 out of 5! Unfortunately it was raining the morning of our decision to go here so we placed an over the phone pickup. Easy enough. The Athena sandwich was great - something I've never had before. I got the sandwich on a biscuit but there were additional options available as well, I believe including pita bread. As a Maryland resident, I was not familiar with chicken sausage either *not pictured*. My friend let me try theirs and just like the Athena sandwich... *licks fingers*.... You get the point.

For whatever reason I've been craving a gyro for the last week. While at my old office today I remembered that Kafeino Cafe was right around the corner. While working in the area I brought my lunch most days but on May Day when I ventured out I would go to Kafeino most times. Located in Avondale Estates off of Covington Hwy it is located at the bottom of an apartment building. This is a pretty busy area and there is convenient free parking off on the side. I ordered the Fried chickpea balls with tahini, tzatziki, lettuce, tomato and red onion with fresh fries. I also ordered hummus and pita. Ofcourse I added some peppa sauce to everything because I love spicy food. When in the area and having the urge for a gyro fix I will stop in again.

The falafel was hard as a brick with No flavor. The greek potatoes were swimming in grease. I could not eat either. The salad was good.

Wonderful staff and great food. An evening with a sangria hits the spot and it's one of the best we've ever had. We love to sit outside and enjoy a peaceful Sunday brunch.

Had a to go order {ordered right here in yelp without any extra fees wahoo} during covid. Order was ready right time and sanitizer was at the door if needed. Review is based on food mostly since I've not had a dine in experience. Food was amazing! I see why everyone rates this place so high-- we both got the gyro wrap and it was massive with 3/4 meat in it! Great flavors!! Also must get the Greek potato's --feta cheese topped chopped potatoes with taziki are to die for. You get a really big portion for the price FYI. Will def be back.

We've ordered delivery a few times from here. The food typically arrives room temperature which is kind of a bummer but also kind of unavoidable. I think my favorite is the classic gyro wrap. I've also had the sampler which is a pretty good deal for the price and comes with even numbered portions of everything (excellent for sharing). I wish they had avgolemono soup and a wider variety of classic Greek options on the menu... we typically order through Grubhub so maybe the menu is limited? And it's also kind of perplexing why they have so many breakfast items available at dinner.

Kafenio is very spacious, light and airy - and has a lovely greek mural painted on the wall that astonishes you when you walk inside. I was blown away by the flavor of their Gyro meat. Super delicious! The tzatziki sauce is so good - the pita was hot and fresh. I had their "Loaded Greek Potatoes" as well and loved it so much. Super filling and tasty. Service is wonderful. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!!!

Usually very good gyros, but last night Kafenio served me old, spoiled meat. This experience put a damper on my birthday dinner!

Their iced latte is amazing! Great lunch options and value menu. They're visible from regular traffic and the retail parking is in the side alley. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Great vegan/vegetarian options. The food is served hot and fresh. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this cafe for a quick bite or coffee and dessert.

Someone ordered with me and gave me my meal and parted ways. I could not figure out what foreign matter was in my meal so I separated that part out & tossed it. When I called and asked what was in my order they said if my order was cooked with someone else's it might've had some of theirs mixed in with mine. They said it sounded like soy, which I don't eat, was mixed in with mine. They said it could replace it but I m not in the area often. Also in NY food safety rules they don't allow anything hands touch to be directly touching food. My tzatziki container was in with food touching it so the thought of germs and getting sick went through my mind as I opened my food. Maybe they could put it on the other side of the parchment paper so it doesn't directly touch the food? That's what I remember about my meal a week later, unfortunately...PS the tzatziki was partially frozen and texture was a bit questionable. Wasn't authentic. I love authentic tzatziki so that was a bit disappointing as well.

Recently, the food has been inconsistent. I could always count on getting a nice wrap that was warm and tasty. Last time I ate there, the wrap and meat were cold. I ordered fries that were delicious but had fewer than usual. Very disappointing. Was a favorite go to restaurant !!

This place is only 10 min from my house but on the opposite direction that I usually go, so I never really paid attention to it until someone told me about it. Today we needed a quick dinner and we're out of ideas and the place audr my came to my mind so we stoped there for dinner and I have to say I was very happily surprised. We had the vegetarian and falafel wraps with Greek salad and Greek potatoes. I have to say the Greek potatoes were quite different from other Greek potatoes I had but still very tasty. The food was very fresh and flavorful, the cashier was very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and they have quite some tables outside. I really enjoyed and will definitely go back .

I came here a few months after they opened. I had breakfast that day and it was good. Today Ide died to come back and I had the Gyro with the potatoes and it was really good. The flavors were great and the service (Misa was awesome). If you haven't tried this restaurant you are missing out!

Great option during these times. We had gone twice prior to this take out. Portions are great, food tasty and made to order. We have had the Gyros, fries, grilled Greek chicken sandwich and potato wedges. They are heavy handed with the tzatzika sauce so I recommend getting in on the side. They are offering curbside pick up as well. Stay safe and support your local businesses.

After we were seated, our table was still sticky from the previous guests. We caught the attention of a nearby server and asked for a hot towel, so that we could clean off the table. The server returned to wipe off only half of the table, then rushed off. This did not feel welcoming. We asked for a refund. We got a refund and food to go. The server who took our order was apologetic, friendly and helpful.

Incredibly solid fast casual WITH beer and wine. Great gyro, great spinach pie, and I'm guessing the cannolis are great too, but I had to take them to go because the serving size was so generous. Update: cannolis also delicious!

The food is ok. Not the best. But for a quick bite it was perfect for someone like me who does not eat cheese or pork.
