Beautiful restaurant with an amazing view of lake Tegernsee. We often take groups of 20 people here for lunch and the food, wine and service never disappoint. Can be rather expensive but certainly worth the experience. (Caveat - unlike most of Germany, expect to pay a tip)

Had a wonderful day here at Tegernsee. Had pork roast with knödel and cabbage salad, and the other was two appetizers put together to make a dinner which was chicken nuggets fresh with a lot of salad!!! We played something like ice curling which was so much fun! Excellent restaurant in Germany!

Having been here multiple times to enjoy the stunning view while eating a typical Bavarian Breakfast, we finally found ourselves enjoying a delicious dinner. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The service is outstanding and surpasses the expectations one has. The waiter that served us (Ricardo) was super friendly and made our evening even better. He even prepared the roasted duck in front of us to allow us to enjoy the food even more. We had a great experience and will definitely come back.

gentle breeze in the summer, white snow in the winter, beautiful view of the Tegernsee lake, great selection of cakes and pastries for afternoon tea, seasonal food from the regions for brunch and dinner. Been here more than 10 times, good vibe and always busy so sometimes the service can be a little bit rough and sometimes the food quality is not consistent.

Very nice Bavarian restaurant, gorgeous view of the Lake Tegernsee. Atmosphere is really nice, classy for Bavarian restaurant but a bit stiff and uptight, welcoming but like "doing you a favour". It is pretty common in high end Bavarian places to encounter this "exclusive" stiffness.

Always worth a visit! I brought my friend to tegernsee and we had lunch here as she wanted kaiserschmarren which I think it’s one of the best here. The food was excellent and so was the service, views on the lake included. Very dog friendly too.

We chose this restaurant for dinner with 14 friends. Service was over the top! The view from the terrace is phenomenal. Most of our friends liked the food. I’m was a bit disappointed, ordered Zwiebelrostbraten, with the exception of the meat center it was dry and I ordered Bratkartoffeln, no good, no taste. The onions came from a “can”. It felt like the food was prepared somewhere else not fresh and reheated. Again, great place but for that price category not appropriate.

Amazing food at an incredible location surrounded by the mountains. The staff is very friendly and they have a very good park for kids. Very recommended!!

We were taken. Y our friends to this place who live nearby. Excellent views. Food was good. But I wish I had also tried their desserts. I wish I had the Kaiserschmarin which the chef was making at the dessert area. It looked so good with fresh apples.

Yes, location, location, location makes this restaurant a place to be. Breathtaking view at Tegernsee, the lake, surrounded by the Alps, spectacular sunsets, all to be taken in from the huge but still cozy terrace of the restaurant. Food is the usual " Käfer" vareity, nothing special but very decent, tasty, local...and pricy, one pays for the location. The service however is horrible! Totally overwhelmed, unfriendly, downright rude! Very disappointing snd unclear why management would put up with that, fire everybody and start over again.

We are lake Tegernsee since many years on a regular base. Now during October we found out that this place has opened at summer in a new refurbished environment. The view is stunning and one of the best around the lake. Nice mix of modern and traditional. The quality of the food was excellent. Besides the normal German style food they also have a nice patisserie you shouldn't miss. We had a nice relaxed dinner with very good service in a nice atmosphere and will definitely come back next time.
