Update: I went again in summer, we bought Bonnas panini. They warmed up and It was super delicious! Highly recommend as a breakfast. I went there with local friend, I took wrap that is called kylling, it was good, I liked atmosphere and interior design a lot. I think best for having your coffee and pastry place. And enjoying cozy stylish cafe.

Great location in the city center with an amazing view from the seating area. Coffee is decent and the cakes are ok. Sandwiches are a little dry but that’s because they use rye bread which is not suited to everyone’s taste. If you get there early, do sit at the counters and you’ll have an amazing view while having your morning coffee.

Excellent and big choice of coffee and teas. It is a cool and trendy place. Do not forget to taste the croissants and the pain au chocolate, they are marvelous. The only low point in my view is the somewhat hectic atmosphere. But it was the national celebration the as we had coffee there.

Kaffebønna Stortorget is a fantastic spot with friendly staff who has superb English skills, making communication easy. The café offers a wide variety of pastries and drinks, along with coffee you can buy to take home. The place is always bustling, so finding a seat can be tricky—but that just shows how popular it is! The cozy atmosphere, combined with an amazing view from the café, makes it a great place to relax and unwind. The staff was always smiling, which adds to the warm and welcoming vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Kaffebona at Stortorget serves amazing coffee—rich, smooth, and clearly crafted with care. Whether you're grabbing a classic espresso or a specialty brew, the flavor is consistently excellent. It's the kind of place where coffee lovers will feel right at home. However, the cleanliness leaves a bit to be desired. Tables weren't cleared promptly, and the general upkeep of the space could use more attention. It doesn’t ruin the experience, but it does take away from the cozy café vibe you might expect. Still, if you’re in it for the coffee, it’s worth stopping by. Just don’t expect a spotless environment. --- Ratings Summary: Coffee Quality: ★★★★★ (5/5) Atmosphere: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) – great location, but cleanliness needs improvement Cleanliness: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) Service: ★★★★☆ (4/5) – friendly but sometimes slow Value for Money: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

We have been trying hard to find a coffee cafe that knows how to actually use an espresso machine. Kaffebønna’s staff/baristas have certainly been trained and not surprising as the owner worked in London before coming back to Tromsø. We have now found the best Flat Whites above the Arctic Circle. The cinnamon and cardamom buns were fresh, large and more importantly tasted pretty dammed fine. We sat outside in the sun, a not so often happening here. There is adequate seating inside for the not so nice days.

It is a little small, but amazing ambience. You have booths, and also single sitting spaces. We went there to gather energy, and we did! There’s free water and wifi, and even though the waiter took my order wrong by mistake, they were really nice.

Google
Pros - food is good , coffee is good Cons - Very crowded , very dirty Queue up at counter , once order drop, 1 barista start making the coffees , once yours done , they just shout “ CAPPUCINOOOOOO” and see who come to pickup first . 🤣 there’s no numbering system for pickup or send to table The table are sticky , dirty with bread crumbs everywhere . No hook for coats . Toilet is the worst I have seen in whole Tromso . The financier is so delicious . I have to come back for it but second time I decided to take aways as it’s too crowded to dine in .

Yelp
The coffee (espresso macchiato and a cappuccino) were delicious, and high quality coffee. The cinnamon bun was light and airy and one of the best baked goods I've had in a while. If you sat at stools facing the front of the coffeehouse, views were of the fjord and it was gorgeous.

Yelp
Really loved the coffee here, the espresso was excellent! Went on a holiday so it was pretty crowded and hard to understand when our order was called. Other than that really liked the ambiance of this place, especially since it's so close to the water and has a great view!

Yelp
They have two locations in this city, but I think this one is the more central one. Has more things like soups and sandwiches that are actually pretty good. I think they have a beats soup as well as a corn one which is pretty good.. Espressos and pastries were pretty average but I wasn't expecting the soup to be above average.

Yelp
Was great! One of the only places open that satisfied our hunger. Free WiFi. Great customer service. English speaking. Amazing baked goods

Yelp
BEST. COFFEE. IN. NORWAY. Clearly I'm excited, and its true. I was when I book marked it and I was when I had my first sip. So good. Great vibes, great staff, great coffee. Kaffebonna has their own beans and partners with a few other roasters. I cupped a few of their Christmas blends and they were so good. Loved their pastries too- they were closing the pastry side and the lady running that side gave us a cinnamon bun type pastry and croissant and they were insanely good. I also has their chia pudding- it came with an apple sauce type topping that made for a sweet and fun addition. They have oat milk which has become my new favorite milk alternative and it added a great flavor to their mocha. I had a latte at one point and a drip coffee too- all were great. This location is fun because there are two separate store fronts next-door. One is pastry focused with drip coffee and the other side has the espresso open top of everything else. Highly recommend Kaffebonna!

Yelp
When you're in the article circle nothing soothes the soul like a hot cup of coffee. The almond croissants are delicious and the coffee is spectacular. Plus it was well made by the barista. Good spot to defrost with a good snack and coffee. Wish I had one of these back home. @Cheo1392

Yelp
This is a cute little coffee shop that I strolled into after walking across the bridge back into the city. I was freezing in craving something warm as well as in dire need of a restroom! The staff was very friendly, the establishment very clean and provided Wi-Fi and newspapers.

Yelp
Great place to take a break and get a hot drink. I stopped in for a reset and hot chocolate. I got my drink right away, seating was packed but I managed to get a spot for myself. Loved the view of the ocean outside and wifi. Prices are on the expensive side. If you're looking for a place to sit and grab a hot drink... stop in.

Yelp
One of the best cappuccinos in a long while. And a work of art. Also had a tea cake and my daughter toast (sandwich grilled). Both were fresh and tasted like homemade. We sat for a while to enjoy and relax after walking downtown Tromso. My husband said the coffee was great. Would definitely return for another cappuccino. Especially on a windy, rainy day.

Yelp
Nice cozy coffee shop with an antique-y and craft store in front and friendly staff. There are nice looking pastries, sandwiches and soup available for those looking for a light lunch. The antique/craft shop at the front has some fun items and is worth a browse. Well you need to go through it anyway, so take a look!

Yelp
Not the best coffee in Norway. Not the best pastries in Norway. But, in my opinion, Norway generally isn't as good at coffee and pastries as its neighbor, Sweden.

Yelp
I visited Kaffebønna seven years ago and was impressed with the quality of their coffee, and the choice of coffees and paraphernalia to buy. I was delighted to find it still vibrant and serving excellent coffees, as well as good pastries.

Yelp
Nice little coffee bar with views over the harbour. We had a lovely sandwich and cake. I like the cortado as a coffee, and they made a good one here
