Stay right in the heart of theunique Cederberg Mountains. Chizelda at reception did an excellent job with our booking and reception at Kagga Kamma. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food in the restaurant, woth the lodge being so remote. The activities on offer were great and os suitable for every age group. The Spa made the weekend extra relaxing. Dont miss the sunsets or star gazing at Kagga Kamma!

We were gifted a two night Cave suite stay at Kagga Kamma. The gravel road access was easy in our little 4x4 Fiat even though a massive storm had blown over just an hour earlier. The Cave suite is comfortable and the hikes are amazing. It was too cold for me to try the swimming pools but both pools did look inviting. The highlight of the whole trip was how incredibly helpful and respectfully attentive all the staff and personnel were. An asset to Kagga Kamma was DJ. He was delightful, knowledgeable and reassuringly competent as Field Guide. The Al a Carte menu has delicious, well priced options for both vegans and meat-eaters. Examples being the sticky pork ribs and novele mushroom pasta. Best EVER! A special thanks to Jean-Marie, Johannes, and Reyna. Their name tags identified them as "Waiters", but all three were competent Maitre 'd's. Kagga Kamma was wonderful, and we intend to go back for more hikes and a few spa treatments.

A unique experience. Preferable if you have an SUV or 4x4 or high clearance vehicle. Those last 37 kms, are a little challenging but lots of fun if you drive a 4 x 4 like we did, it was part of the adventure. The hotel resort site has cave rooms, and all the different packages available make it perfect for a lot of different styles of vacation. Cave suites, thatched hutts, high end family villas, isolated camp grounds, etc. The food was amazing. The entire staff from the bar man, reception and guides on the Star gazing or game drives are all kwoledgable, pleasant, and attetentive to our needs, safety, and comfort. We will go back again !

The place is lovely with beautiful views. Our cave room was cozy and the shower was great but the pillows were like concrete. The Rock Art tour could have been better - our guide was not able to identify some of the birds and specific plants but the Rock Art itself was fascinating. The food was good but more attention to detail is required- the veg was undercooked and my husband’s steak was tough - frankly we expected more for the price. ||Having a turndown service is always great. The actual site of the lodge is beautiful . ||If you are also camping be sure to book any activity while you are at reception as once you are at the campsite there is no mobile reception and it’s quite far to walk.

We stayed at Kagga Kamma on the night of 12th May, and it was an unforgettable experience. I’ve never felt so close to nature — the silence was so profound it almost hurt my ears, but in the most beautiful, grounding way.|| ||The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. On arrival, we were given a personal walk-through of all the amenities, which immediately made us feel at home. A special thank you to Mustafa, who was especially helpful and ensured our meals were delivered with a smile.|| ||Dinner in the boma was an absolute highlight: a delicious meal by a roaring log fire, under a full moon and a vast open sky. It was off the scale — peaceful, majestic, and deeply relaxing.|| ||We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would highly recommend Kagga Kamma to anyone looking to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with nature.

A hidden jewel, full of peace and tranquility. I had good sleep,I loved that there was no WiFi signal so I was able to switch off. We really enjoyed the meals, stargazing and hot chocolate, the nature hike and the historical insight shared by the respective guides. Restful and adventurous all in one.

What an incredible experience! This is a must visit area of our beautiful country, and such a lovely lodge! The staff are great, Gaby in particular went out her way to make everything as wonderful as it could be. The hiking is spectacular. The accomomodation very nice (whilst just falling short of luxury) and the food was lovely.

We had an amazing weekend camping at Kagga Kamma’s Swartrug campsite with friends. The highlight was the rock art tour with our guide, DJ — he was outstanding! Friendly, knowledgeable, and fantastic with the kids. We also loved mountain biking through the stunning landscape. Highly recommend the experience!
