Google
Kai Ramen in Arcadia did not disappoint. We tried the Tonkotsu Ramen and the spicy Volcano Ramen—both full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The crispy chicken appetizer was addictively good, and the Chashu Bao was tender and satisfying. Thai Iced Tea and Boba Milk Tea hit the spot. Cool vibes, friendly staff, and a cozy spot for a casual ramen night. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

The place is very relaxed and cozy. The service was good, except the dumpling took almost half an hour to serve after we finished the ramen bowls. But nevertheless the 🥟🥟 were really fresh and delicious. The volcano ramen was really spicy with the freshly cooked pop corn chicken on top making an excellent combo.

This ramen place is located in Arcadia, the plaza of JJ Bakery with plenty of parking spaces. Nice and clean dining area, we were greeted and quickly seated. You can scan the QR code for menu, very efficient. Our waitress is very friendly and kind, patiently introduced the menu since this was our first visit. We ordered a Tonkatsu Classic Ramen, Kai White, appetizers with soft shell crab, fried spicy chicken and fried calamari and two iced lemon tea. A good bowl of ramen is a bowl of flavorful broth, not too salty. The ramen noodle is cooked well with perfect texture, love the char on the pork belly, it adds on some smoky flavor to the bowl. The garlic butter in Kai White definitely creates the buttery texture to the soup base and it is no doubt the award-winning ramen. Very impressed by their appetizers, fresh, delicious with generous portions. For sure the other highlight of the meal.

✨Anyone else slurp their noodles?✨ Our cravings for ramen certainly were satisfied at Kai Ramen, located in Arcadia, California and deep in the SGV. During the height of the pandemic, I found myself relying on @kairamenarcadia as my go-to for those delicious Japanese noodles in soup form. Then on my recent dine-in visit, I realized the quality and taste of the meals simply was the same🙌🏼 I was finally able to try their Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice after all these years and it did not disappoint! More happiness was activated with each bite🥰 We had: 🍣Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, 🍗Chicken Cutlet Bun (chicken katsu in steamed bun mixed with cabbage, slices of cucumber, served with spicy mayo), 🍜Kai White Ramen (salt base, skinny noodles, garlic butter, pork belly, flavored egg, scallions, crispy onion, kikurage), 🍜Maesoba Ramen (thick noodle, house special ground pork, scallions, mild soy based smoke flavor, imami fish powder, garlic, seaweed), and🧋Boba Ice Milk Tea

Kai Ramen Arcadia delivers flavorful bowls and playful vibes, highlighted by a cute Naruto murals. I tried the Kai Black, with its rich garlic-forward broth and tender chashu, and the Kai White, a lighter, creamy option that was equally satisfying. Both hit the spot, making this a must-visit for ramen lovers and anime fans alike. What we ordered: 🍜 Kai White: award winning ramen! has garlic butter! 🍜 Kai Black: has black garlic oil! 🍣 Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice 🍞 Pork Chashu Bun

Kai ramen is nestled in a plaza with JJ bakery, phoenix boutique and other stores. The parking lot is shared with other business and can get busy during lunch hours. It is a small store with beautiful graphics on the walls. Although there was only one server, she was attentive and friendly. Scan a QR code for the menu and order with the server. Food came out quickly. We ordered the kai white ramen(which was labeled as award winning) and bomb ramen. The kai white ramen was flavorful and had a buttery-ish taste to the soup base. The noodles are thinner compared to the bomb ramen. The bomb ramen had thicker noodles and a lot of flavor from the minced pork. The oil and salt levels are adjustable. They have a variety of broth flavors to chose from including tonkatsu, chicken and shoyu. The spicy tuna crispy rice was interesting, and the rice was really crispy. The pork chashu buns had thin slices of chashu topped with lots of spring salad, which makes it easier to bite through. They also have a vegan soup option and rice bowls if youre not feeling ramen.

Google
My first time here and loved my experience! Everything we ordered was so flavorful and delicious. I ordered the Kai ramen and I’ve e never had anything like it. It’s a little spicy if you like spice and the added cheese made it so much better! The broth was rich and full of flavor. The chasu rice was so good too! I loved my first dining experience here. They have a great menu selection and the staff are friendly

Yelp
Today's visit, easy parking, no waiting and great food. We tried several options and found two new items. Buns and chicken and curry sukiyaki beef. Water is filtered and cold and taste really refreshing.

Yelp
great noodles to satisfy cravings, some room to grow came by shortly after their opening awhile back. kai white ramen was super solid and our special request for extra hard noodles on the side was handled perfectly (sometimes some ramen shops have no idea what that means) also loved the calamari! yummy n crispy some downsides: i took a star off since the chashu was a bit dry, and the interior felt real tight. host sat a party right next to my bf and i in an otherwise empty restaurant, which made convo awkward. the naruto-themed art idea was fun but could use a little polish. the server (maybe owner?) had a serious case of RBF not offensive or rude, just felt a bit intense while dining. This also made me take off a star i do want to come back though! the noodles were bouncy and broth rich, ramen was genuinely tasty, and i'd love to see how they do the next time im back here. fingers crossed for a 5-star update next time :)

Yelp
OVERALL : I saw that Kai Ramen was previously featured in the Top 10 Ramen by EaterLA and was curious to see what they offered. Their menu is big, with so many different types of ramen at Kai Ramen, perfect for when you're craving something different than your usual! They've got ramen with sukiyaki beef, spinach noodles, popcorn chicken, bok choy, etc. as well as the classic chasu and egg. I would say the ramen leans more on the fun modern twist versus the super traditional style. All of their 18-hour broths are prepped in-house, and you can def see that with how flavorful every spoonful is. Service was quick too for a Sat lunch -- we got sat immediately and the food came out quick! PARKING : There is a parking lot shared with the stores in the same plaza, but it's not super busy so you shouldn't have too many issues finding parking! FOOD/DRINKS : Kai White - noted as the award-winning item. It's made with a salt base, thin noodles, garlic butter, pork belly , marinated egg, scallions , crispy onion, and black mushroom. This felt so light yet SO satisfying, especially with the perfectly jammy seasoned egg Spicy Miso Tonkatsu Ramen - spicy miso base with thick noodles, house special minced ground pork , scallions, seasoned egg, and corn. This one wasn't too spicy, but you know it's there. The noodles and broth made it a heartier meal Appetizers - calamari and spicy tuna crispy rice -- standard, I wish the spicy tuna was spicier / had slightly more per crispy rice square though but overall not bad since they are a ramen shop and not specializing in this. Calamari was crispy and not too oily, fun app to share! Drinks - thai tea and lychee green tea -- nice to see that they serve some fun drinks on the menu!

Yelp
KAI RAMEN Arcadia was a chill relaxed spot for a quick flavorful bowl of ramen. When the ramen got to me, in a few minutes I saw some layer of oil collect at the top, but it was still delicious. I tried their WHITE KAI ramen and Tonkatsu Classic Ramen. I think the garlic in the white Kai ramen was buttery rich but I prefer tonkatsu. The takoyaki was perfectly saucey and good size. The service was fast and the restaurant is decorated with Naruto anime walls which gave it a fun vibe. I like that it's in a plaza , with easy parking .

Yelp
I love Japanese ramen but it's a weeb restaurant to boot! Of course I'm going to cosplay and be over! Great service and the food was delicious! Perfect place to bring ur weeb friend over to geek out while you dine! Will be back again!

Yelp
This is a more modern ramen shop with dishes like volcano ramen (with popcorn chicken) and yellow ramen (with cheese). I'm personally a fan of more traditional ramen, so most of the dishes here were not quite to my taste. I tried the classic tonkatsu ramen (mild spicy), which was OK. The noodles were thinner than I like and the broth didn't speak to me. If the other ramen options sound more interesting to you, give this place a try! Service was quick and the tables were clean.

Yelp
Solid, straight to the point spot for ramen. I got the Kai Red ramen and wife got the Tonkotsu Classic. The Kai red had a good kick, not too overbearing and the soup had a nice consistency. Wife enjoyed the Tonkotsu classic, nothing fancy, just well balanced and very familiar in a good way. For appetizers, we also got Takoyaki and Sesame Fried Chicken, which my daughter really enjoyed. I thought the Takoyaki was the sleeper. The Kai's Boba Milk tea definitely came in handy to cool us off, from both the ramen and the heat outside. I want to try the Spicy Miso and Kai's white ramen on our next run.

Yelp
Located in a small strip mall in Aracdia where Din Tai Fung was originally located a decade ago, is this small, unassuming ramen shop. We went late on a weekend night and found it generally empty. Strangely, the later it got the busier it got, and we got their late! Parking was easy as most of the other businesses in this small strip mall are closed at night. Service was attentive but I can't rave about it. The gyoza are supposedly house made. However, when I requested they pan fry ours a little longer to make them crispier, we were curtly told no. Apparently the gyoza are cooked in a "gyoza cooking machine" (huh? what?) and I guess running them through twice is not something they will do. So the gyoza were pale and unimpressive, though they tasted okay. Just underdone. We also tried three different ramen. The missus had the Classic Mazesoba Ramen (No Soup) and said it was good. I had the spicy miso tonkatsu ramen, which was just alright but nothing exceptional. The kid had the volcano ramen, which was nowhere as spicy as you'd think it might be from the name and description. Still, this was by far the best of the three ramen. The broth had the most depth. I might go back. The lack of alcohol - especially house sake, which is a must for me with my ramen - was a drag, and I'm sure that will never change since this is not a new restaurant. The anime decor is cute if you're into that kind of thing. I would prefer to take the drive to Slurpin' Ramen or a handful of other joints around the SGV with better ramen, but if I had an urge for ramen and was tired and lazy, I might go here as it's so close. Otherwise, it was just okay.

Yelp
I was sad when I learned that the Kai ramen location in Alhambra closed but so happy to find that this location is still open! My go to is the yellow Kai ramen, it's perfect if you like cheese in your ramen! The broth was flavorful and I asked for it spicy. It was the perfect amount of spiciness. My partner got the Karaage curry plate and I couldn't help but steal a few bites. The service was good, we were also one of two parties at the restaurant at the time. Granted they also had a lot of takeout or delivery orders. Overall they were pretty attentive. The ambiance is quite casual and they share a parking lot with a handful of other businesses. Definitely recommend this spot!

Yelp
This is such a cute spot for Naruto lovers. They have boba milk tea! It's on the sweeter side but it's delicious and the boba are chewy. We got the black ramen and red ramen. I love the ramen texture and the flavor. I like the black ramen more than the red. The black ramen was very flavorful. The red ramen wasn't bad, it was just a bit more spicy than I expected. For appetizers, we order the fried calamari and spicy fried chicken. The calamari came out crispy. The spicy chicken was tasty. Service was quick. Price is reasonable. Plenty of parking available.

Yelp
Ok Wait! It's One of the Top ten ramen spots to check out according to the LA Eater?! Oh I'm so there and now here! LoL! So I started out with their award winning Kai White Ramen that had pork belly, egg, black mushrooms with skinny noodles in a garlic butter salty base. I thought it wouldn't work for me since I really don't like salty foods but it actually worked well. Before I ordered this item the server informed me that all customers can request for less oil and spice. That being said, there's no way you could go wrong if you are controlling that option. Maybe I haven't been in the Ramen game that long but it was the first time I've been offered that option. Besides the ramen we had two of their fried appetizers that were really good and so went well with our bowls of goodness. Oh yeah they were the Fried Calamari and the Soft Shell Crab. The service was great from start to finish and they kept checking on us constantly. And that's my take on this Ramen adventure, Peace

Yelp
Genuinely the best ramen I have ever had. The pork belly was so tender and the broth was so flavorful. I loved the curry and the fried chicken was the perfect touch. The buns were nice and soft and the crispy tuna rice was slightly sweet but a nice balance with the spicy mayo. Very quick service and the decor was very cute too.

Yelp
The place is clean and there were a lot of seats available. The ramen is was tasty. We got the Kai white ramen and the spicy beef ramen that I asked for low sodium. They can adjust the broth to your liking. We also got the soft sheep crab and the crispy spicy tuna. Definitely loved the thicker noodles just because it was more chewy and bouncy. The flavor was there I can taste it. The broth was clean and beefy. The service was quick with your order and giving your food too.

Yelp
What was really great about this place was the fact that they acknowledged my entry IMMEDIATELY! I had a table within 45 seconds, no Yelp waiting line. And when people say this is a NARUTO themed place, THEU MEAN IT!! Their walls are NARUTO, the floors are NARUTO, theres NARUTO in the air, why, there might even be NARUTO in the mop bucket! (No, I didn't look.) This was my first time at Kai. I ordered the POPEYE Ramen, because it's also on the menu of another Ramen shop in Little Tokyo. I figured it would be the same, it was not. That shop in LT loads their Popeye ramen up with spinach and garlic, but Kai has this as a Vegan dish with an extremely light broth. Only a finger-full of spinach. I found it tasty in it's own right, but probably will order something more solid next time.

Yelp
Came on the first of the year I love coming here only 15min drive but work it always quick and delicious the service is great super friendly and helpful. They have the best music who ever is in that playlist keep it up always a vibe! Great food great place you can come alone, date night or a group! This is so good my boyfriend favorite and that says alot bc he's picky about ramen

Yelp
My interest in this place skyrocketed when I saw that they had a deal for a buy one get one free rice bowl and/or ramen bowl, so I had to come here for dinner! We came on a Thursday night around 6pm and were seated immediately due to only one other customer being there. We were a bit surprised, but to our surprise many people came in around 7pm or so, so possibly prepare yourself to come in earlier in the night for fast seating! :) Staff were very kind and switched our table when they noticed our prior table was a bit creaky. The decor of the place will definitely be loved by fellow Naruto fans like me, as the walls were decorated with hand painted Naruto drawings. We claimed the deal for a buy one get one free ramen with no problem, and got our food in 10 minutes! FOOD: -Kai White Ramen -Kai Black -Softshell crab DRINKS: -Calpico Everything was made fresh and so tasty! I can see why the Kai White ramen is award winning - the broth is uniquely its own brand and I loved how soulful it tasted. My partner loved his Kai black ramen and I highly recommend it for garlic lovers! I was so happy to see softshell crab on the menu and ordered it, and was not disappointed by its crispiness. I will definitely come here again! The deal was very worth it!

Yelp
Kai Ramen is a Naruto themed ramen shop with amazing storytelling murals and delicious Japanese food! They specialize in many different types of ramen with a wide range of appetizers and entrees. I was impressed by the Kai White Ramen, their most popular ramen dish. Their noodles were thin and bouncy with a garlic butter based broth. Their Kai Yellow Ramen had lots of cheese with a thick spicy tonkatsu broth, perfect for cheese lovers. My favorite appetizer was their spicy tuna crispy rice because of the fresh tuna and perfect texture of the rice. They have spacious seating and quick, attentive service.

Yelp
My family and I came to try out this Naruto themed ramen spot on Baldwin and Duarte tonight for dinner just before 5pm. There was no wait time since we were early and we made it just in time to take advantage of their lunch special: a free drink and appetizer with any rice bowl or ramen purchase so we ended up with three free items, what a great deal! Today we tried the "award winning" Kai White Ramen, my daughter got the Chicken Katsu Curry, and my husband ordered the Fride Rice. THE RAMEN WAS THE BEST and we all agreed! It was savory and delicious, and the pork was tender, and noodles al dente, and nicely seasoned/salted. My daughter really loved her curry, I can say it was good but nothing out of the ordinary. My husband didn't love his rice, the pork seemed a little over cooked but since we all shared we enjoyed our meal. The free lemon tea and potato wedges were also delicious! The service was friendly and they were very kind. It was great that they honored the lunch special and even my husband's Yelp check in to get a free soda in addition to his free appetizer. Overall we would definitely come back to get to try out more of their soups and maybe some more curries for my daughter. The decor is also super cute for anime lovers!

Yelp
Delicious ramen and quick service. Came in for lunch and was seated right away. Ordered quickly and the food was out lickety split. Went with the tonkotsu ramen with no mushrooms. I wanted the spicy version but I'm not sure my server heard me cause I mumble a bit. The noodles were a little different than I'm used to but they were still tasty. The pork was great too. Not too tough and not too fatty. Parking is a little limited and can be annoying if you have a truck or large vehicle. Inside has plenty of space but I can see how they'd get packs during busy times.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
The foods here are very affordable and tasty. They apparently have a Michelin award on one of their ramens. Service was very quick and the place wasn't busy. I also like how they close pretty late too in case I want a late night meal. I got the tonkatsu ramen and it wasn't too salty, just the perfect balance. The noodle were also the thicker and chewier kind which I liked. I would continue to go back here!

Yelp
Decided to come here for lunch on a weekday. This spot is located In a nice shopping center with plenty of parking and an on site security guard in the area. It was not too busy with plenty of tables available. We were seated right away. The interior of the restaurant was nice and clean with neat artwork. We ordered the Kai Yellow spicy cheese ramen. It had a very strong egg flavor and flavorful broth. I also ordered the classic non-spicy ramen. The broth could have had a bit more flavor for this one and the noodles felt slightly undercooked. The highlight of this dish was the pork belly, it was so tender and full of flavor. Overall, this is a really solid ramen place. I would come back here and try something else on the menu.
google avatar

Peggy S.

Yelp
This has been saved in my collection for a while so I'm glad we were able to finally try it. We got 2 combos (which included: chashu bowl or takoyaki + soda) with white ramen and red ramen. Flavor is good! Not too salty, not too oily. I actually prefer this ramen spot over the one at the Santa Anita Mall. Chashu bowl was a bit too sweet though but the takoyaki (which came in 3 pieces for the combo) was decent. Service was fast and the restaurant itself is relatively clean.

Yelp
This really is good ramen. Top tier I'd say for around these parts. Definitely would recommend. Parking is somewhat of a hassle since Kai shares a small lot with a bunch of other businesses that seem to be just as popular. But if you do find a spot, it's well worth it. Inside has lots of tables and is clean and well organized. I came here during lunch hour, so I'm sure it's even busier when it opens back up for the dinner shift. Wait staff was minimal, just one guy, but he was quite attentive and receptive. Menu is pretty large for a ramen spot. Lots of dishes to choose from, not just strictly soup based. You'll want to come back and explore the rest of the menu for sure. Ordered the following: - Kai White Ramen - 8.5/10: This is hailed as their "award-winning" ramen, and I can see why. The portions aren't too large or small, but just enough not to feel like a glutton. Very buttery, creamy and garlicky soup base that isn't spicy at all...just rich and tasty. Loved the strips of charsiu: just enough meat to fat ratio that made it very tender and easy to bite into, not like some other places where the pieces are too thick and not really edible. Everything comes together well in this superb ramen dish. - Fried Soft Shell Crabs - 8.5/110: Wow, this was tasty as hell! Crab pieces were fried perfectly. Crunchy, yet moist inside. If you've never had soft shell crab, make this is your introductory dish. So yeah, if you like ramen, go here. Now.

Yelp
Came by with friends on a cold evening. I originally wanted ramen but we ended up getting curry instead. I tried the karaage chicken curry which was pretty tasty. Service was a bit slow but food turned out to be nice and filling. I'd come back in the future to try some ramen but when I see ramen on the menu I tend to gauge the good at a location so the good part is I enjoyed my meal and will be back in the future. The place was calm with only a couple of tables filled. They have plenty of parking though if you don't have a compact then you might get a ding on your car.

Yelp
Tried this Ramen spot today with my wife and daughter. We hear about it online and saw it was close by. The decor and location is inviting. The place was not too loud and the servers were very friendly. We tried three entrees, two drinks and an appetizer. We had to try the signature Kai White Ramen, my wife said it was delicious. The broth was creamy and the pork was soft. My daughter had the Chicken Curry, she said she loved the curry flavor and it was not spicy. My pork fried rice was a little dry but I added a little broth from the ramen. If you come before 5 pm they offer you a free drink or small appetizer, we tried the Lemon Tea and the Potato Wedges. The wedges were cooked perfect and seasoned well. The lemon tea was the star, a must get again next time. Will def try more dishes in the future and explore more ramen variations.

Yelp
Great tsukemen (dipping ramen)!! Was actually craving Tsujita but it was a bit out of the way and a bit overpriced. Since their ramen doesn't include any toppings in their price. Ended up finding Kai randomly and decided on ordering takeout and it was lovey! It came out to $20 & came with the super thick wavy noodles, soft egg, pork, and raw red onions. The broth was so rich and flavorful, I surprisingly liked it a bit more than Tsujita, will definitely be back!

Yelp
3.5 stars! This place has a cute ambiance with its tribute to Naruto. The bowls are around $16.50 each (as of 1/2025) and is on the lighter portion end (less rich and oil as well). We tried the red and white (white because it is award winning. It uses garlic butter). You can also adjust your spiciness for the red ramen. There were wood ear, green onion and a half boiled egg as topping and two slices of pork. The red ramen also had addition red / purple onion as well. Pork was a leaner cut. I found the white ramen A-Ok but usually would stick with Black ramen on a regular basis. Service was attentive and they provide a metal container of ice water or a glass tea pot for hot water so you don't need to wave the waiter down for refills. Parking is pretty easy but can get hectic because it shares the same lot as JJ bakery, Chef Tony and Sushi Kisen. (-): This place is heavy on coupons with stipulations/ fine print that is not otherwise mentioned in their online promotions. My partner was using a coupon and was told he needed to provide a *5* review in exchange for the coupon to be used. Thus, it's possible the reviews can be inflated and not truly an authentic experience.

Yelp
I haven't been to a Kai Ramen in ages, and it's still a pretty solid joint! I never been to this location before, it seems underdeveloped lol. The Naruto drawings are cool, but it seems like so many ramen shops also are Naruto inspired. There's a lot of cardboard boxes lying around in plain sight, so it didn't seem very cleaned up? Although the tables and everything here is pretty sufficient. The restaurant wasn't busy at all when we came in on a Friday night. My bf ordered the Kai White, which is lot like garlic butter based. It was pretty heavy, and also reminds me of a pasta dish. The broth for this one was really good! I actually liked his a lot. I got the Kai black since I always enjoyed the 'black' ramen at ramen shops. The garlic wasn't as strong as the Kai White, but the flavors were pretty nice. Noodles were good, and I was surprised the chashu was cooked pretty well. The egg was pretty delicious too. Definitely a solid ramen joint!

Yelp
Absolutely loved the ramen here, especially the Kai White which is their award winning ramen. It has a salt base and comes with thin noodles, garlic butter, pork belly, flavored egg, scallions, crispy onion, and stripped black mushroom. What stood out to me was the rich, flavorful broth as well as the flavored egg - a definite must-try! The Kai Red pretty much comes with the same ingredients except garlic butter, red onion is served in lieu of the crispy onion, and you can choose the spice level for this ramen. My bf got a medium spice level and didn't think it was spicy at all, but I felt a bit of heat. For appetizers, we got the gyoza potstickers and sweet & spicy karaage chicken. The chicken was more sweet and not spicy at all for us. But there were green peppers sprinkled in that gave a spicy kick. I loved how the chicken stayed really crispy despite being drenched in the sauce. The iced milk tea has a jasmine tea base and is mixed with half & half cream. I thought it was very sweet and it had a strong tea flavor. It also comes with boba but we had asked for the drinks without the topping.

Yelp
We found this place on a whim to satisfy our craving for something warm in our bellies. It wasn't busy when we got here around 6:30pm on a Friday night. The interior walls are completely covered with Naruto comic, nice for that Naruto fan in your life ;) Food ordered: Kai white, Kai black, fried soft shell crab The garlic butter in the Kai white is very strong. The slices of pork belly were thinly sliced, more of a charred/lean cut than fatty piece. It comes with slices of wood ear mushroom, crispy onion, green onions, half soft boiled egg and the thin kind of ramen noodles. The thin noodles pair well with the soup base and slice of pork belly.. it makes it not overwhelming. The black garlic oil wasn't something that really stood out too much to me.. it has a somewhat smoky rich flavor but I wouldn't say it's any different from other places with black garlic oil. We liked the soft shell crab. The meat was soft and creamy, but the outside wasn't as crispy as we thought it would be. It's still pretty tasty in my opinion. They have entree combos that we thought we might try but didn't want to over order as we normally do. You can add a chashu bowl to the entree for $5.

Yelp
We originally came because there was a promotion on Facebook for a BOGO ramen bowl. Not sure where the fine print was, but we told that its required to write a 5star review in order to claim it. The decorations in the dining area are very cute. They have large comic style murals of Naruto, so that was fun to look at. We got the Kai Red and White which are tonkatsu based. They tended to be on the leaner side in their broth and chasu, which I'm not used to and personally like a fattier version better. We got medium spice which was not too spicy. Overall it was a good deal, especially where inflation is headed these days.

Yelp
This was the first spot my cousin and I stopped by when we landed in Burbank and after checking into our hotel a few blocks away. It didn't disappoint at all! Parking: medium size parking lot shared among different businesses including Phoenix. We went during late lunch hour so that probably explains why there were a lot of empty spots opened for parking. During peak times, parking may be tough. Service: average. There was one other table when we sat down to eat but we saw our waiter only when he came to take our order and when bringing out the food we ordered. You scan the QR code on the table to look at the menu. Food order to arrival time was decent. Ambiance: basic decor but clean. Good spot to hang out with friends. Food: we came during happy hour so we were able to take advantage of the combo. My cousin and I both ordered their award winning Kai white with less oil and less salt (which we both appreciate) and we selected the takoyaki and the garlic edamame for our combo. The noodles were cooked perfectly and we loved the light buttery taste of the broth. The egg was cooked just right and the cha siu melted right in my mouth. It's been a few weeks since my short trip to socal but I still dream about the bowl of ramen we had.

Yelp
I had the Kai White off a recommendation and it was great! The Takoyaki that came with the combo was really good as well. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the friendly staff. The restaurant was clean and very quaint.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Friday. We decided to try this place because of the multiple messages I received about their BOGO promotion. However, we were immediately disappointed when the server stated that the offer is only good Mon-Thur. I felt that this was false advertisement as the messages I received states to not click the deal until I'm ready to redeem. There's not information on the message except that it's done-in only. Dishonest business in my opinion. Parking: plenty free parking in the plaza. Ambiance: casual, can get loud from the high ceilings and open seating. Wasn't too busy today (Friday) for lunch. Food: we ordered the Kai White Ramen, Tonkatsu Ramen and Chicken Katsu Curry. The ramen were both pretty flavorful but portions seem smaller than other places. My daughter was disappointed that there was no seaweed. The chicken katsu was really crispy and curry was good (not spicy). The ratio of the curry to the chicken and rice was lacking. My son was complaining there wasn't enough curry. Staff: not really friendly but not rude either.

Yelp
2 years ago this place was bomb But unfortunately came back and it was Not good, expensive and disappointing. Got 2 tontsoky Ramens and fried Calamari Let's start with the ramen. The soup was BAD BAD. Super salty and greasy Cold, not a good ramen tbh Fried calamari not well cooked a lot of mint but little calamari.. I don't like to write down bad reviews but Paid $47 for this and couldn't eat.

Yelp
Anyone else slurp their noodles? Our cravings for ramen certainly were satisfied at Kai Ramen, located in Arcadia, California and deep in the SGV. During the height of the pandemic, I found myself relying on @kairamenarcadia as my go-to for those delicious Japanese noodles in soup form. Then on my recent dine-in visit, I realized the quality and taste of the meals simply was the same I was finally able to try their Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice after all these years and it did not disappoint! More happiness was activated with each bite We had: Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Chicken Cutlet Bun (chicken katsu in steamed bun mixed with cabbage, slices of cucumber, served with spicy mayo), Kai White Ramen (salt base, skinny noodles, garlic butter, pork belly, flavored egg, scallions, crispy onion, kikurage), Maesoba Ramen (thick noodle, house special ground pork, scallions, mild soy based smoke flavor, imami fish powder, garlic, seaweed), andBoba Ice Milk Tea

Yelp
3.2/5, but had to round down. Sorry. It's decent food, but it's a bit like Chinese ramen? That's the best I could describe it. It's okay, but kinda pricey for what I got. It's also a bit too salty for me. The place is pretty nice, especially if you like Naruto a lot. Its walls are all covered in Naruto paintings. The water bottle also had some mold, so idk. Some fell into my cup LOL

Yelp
[4.5 stars] I wish I could have gave this place 5 stars because it was so close to being that. First off, I want to say if you are thinking about ordering anything, you should definitely go for the Takoyaki, it was my favorite FOR SURE. In addition, the flavors were absolutely unbelievable & it blended so well together! For the actual ramen itself, I ordered the Kai's White Ramen as well because it was "Award Winning"; however, I would say that the portions definitely lacked. To be quite honest, the flavors were astounding, but sadly I couldn't fully enjoy it because the lack of chicken & egg. In addition to the ramen, I got the combo which was $5 more, and I got 3pc Takoyaki and a Chashu pork bowl & the flavor within the Chashu was super yummy! Almost forgot! There was a deal only on the weekdays, I believe 12-5pm and you could get free drink or takoyaki when you order rice/ramen. Additionally, my friend got the Volcano Ramen & the portions for that were way better. I tried a bit of the ramen & it tasted very filling. Also, the popcorn chicken was surprisingly somewhat crunchy still, it had a good texture to it. SERVICE & AMBIANCE: I felt welcomed and the service was amazing, I went on a Wednesday afternoon around 4pm & there wasn't anyone in the restaurant, definitely underrated! Would come again & try something different.

Yelp
The portions are smaller compared to other ramen restaurants at $16.50 for Tonkatsu ramen. The noodles were egg noodles, so different texture and the soup base doesn't have a strong flavor. Still, we enjoyed our meal and the pork belly was soft and delicious.

Yelp
Really cute ramen shop! I loved the interior design and the fact that there was a ton of parking available. The staff were super friendly and gave me and my friends great recommendations for our first time. The ramen was pretty good, but the only thing that I didn't like was the portion size was small. For the price, I was hoping for a bigger bowl of ramen with more toppings as well. Kai White (4/5) - this is their award winning ramen and it was great! The flavor was strong but wasn't overwhelming. I would recommend this Crispy rice tuna (5/5) - really good crispy rice tuna! Overall, I like Kai Ramen, but don't LOVE it. I could see myself coming back to get the Kai White again. I just wish they had bigger portion sizes.

Yelp
Located in a plaza with plenty of parking, this spot is a great weekday lunch spot with their generous lunch special. During weekday lunch to 5pm you can get a free select drink or appetizer with your ramen order. The portions have definitely gotten smaller than the last time I was here but overall still a solid ramen. Staff were friendly and quick with our order. Order: kai red and black ramen, complimentary green tea and takoyaki Comment: I wish the portions were bigger and the cha siu wasn't as thin as bacon.

Yelp
oh KAiiiii (Ramen)! Cute little ramen spot in SGV! They got all types of ramen: tonkatsu broth, chicken broth, shoyu broth, and even soup-less ramen! If that ain't your vibe, they also got rice bowls, fried chicken, gyoza, takoyaki, fried calamari, and the list goes on. Everything we got was good in their respective categories; nothing spectacular, but solid meals nonetheless. The takoyaki had the good crunch, chew and sauce on it. The crispy rice had a nice glaze with a sweet hint to the rice, a bit too chewy that it gets stuck to your teeth, but it was still tasty. The beef curry was yummy, good thick curry, with tender flavorful meat. The ramen was also solid, good meat, noodles and broth. Oh and the boba was good, nice flavor and texture ! All in all, the place was easy to get to, parking smooth, ambiance was chill, the staff was friendly, quick, and the food was good, so If we are ever in the area and want a more lowkey spot, we would want to come back to give some other items a try that may be more worthwhile. Until then... Happy eats, loves ^_^
