The Kai Tak Sports Park finally opened earlier this year transforming the old Kai Tak Airport Grounds into an open sports park, stadiums, recreation and leisure area along with residential towers, restaurants and malls. The Sports Park takes up a large area between the Sung Wong Toi and Kai Tak MTR Stations all the way to the harbour. It includes the new Kai Tak Mall Phases 1 to 3, the large and impressive Airside Mall, an open 10K capacity sports ground and the 50K Kai Tak Stadium where major events are starting to be held. You can enjoy the grounds around these venues finding large scale sculptures, fountain pools, benches and covered walkways for avoiding the sun and rain on poorer weather days. It seems more sports activity areas continue to be developed that will open in the future as well as an opening dining area along the harbour just next to Kai Tak Stadium. The waterfront at this location is beginning to open as well. It will run the length the adjacent cruise terminal that makes use of the old airport runway once fully complete.

A brand-new sports park built for the National Games of the People’s Republic of China. Everything here feels fresh and modern, with updated facilities and plenty of areas to explore. It’s spacious, well-designed, and definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby.

It's a good area for locals and visitors. If you use MTR, you just need to get out in Kai Tak Station at Tuen Ma Line. It takes a long walk in this sport park since it's huge. Many locals go for a walk. It's a good place walk your dogs too. If you have little ones, bring their bikes. There are few malls in this area with many food choices. The new malls are the best cooling down places in hot summer days and having some food. The place is well kept and clean. Public toilets are in this area.

Wasn’t originally in my list but my local HK friend suggested this place and imma say it was a great choice. The place used to be the old runway of the famous Kai Tak International Airport, which has then renovated for public and residential use. The area seems to be newly developed, with plenty of space to go for a walk and run. Around the place are also newly-built malls which my friend mentioned to be good places to go to dates. Highly recommend for those who want to take a chill stroll around HK.

Nice, spacious venue with loads of shopping and food options surrounding. It takes bit of a walk to reach to the stadium from MTR exits. The stadium looks awesome but can only observe from outside. It will be great if they offer stadium tour during non-event dates.

A huge, nice auditorium for sports and concert with air con. A capacity of 50,000 + audience is fantastic. It’s good exercise to walk from and to the train station to the auditorium. There are a few food counters that we can buy burgers, drinks, fried chicken, ice cream and so on. The burgers and the chicken are not bad.

Very good stadium, it’s good size, the stand is close to the field. No tracks! Easy to get 🍺! Price is reasonable stadium price! I enjoy this place even HK rugby team lost to Japan!

Kai Tak Stadium is a truly magnificent venue. The architecture is impressive, and the atmosphere inside is top-notch. Despite the hot summer weather, the stadium’s design keeps it cool and comfortable. Clean toilets and a great selection of food make the experience even better. Overall, a very nice place to enjoy events!
